Super long but SUPER IMPORTANT!

Alrighty. A review has brought to my attention something I should have told yall earlier but I try to keep my life out of fanfiction because not everyone needs to know nor wants to know. Yall are here for the story I write and I try to keep my personal life out of what I do on here. But yall need to know this. My mother is disabled. I have to take care of her, the house she can no longer clean and the two teenagers she can no longer drive around. I cook, clean and take care of everything and to top it off I'm also in college. I am sorry my updates are very sporadic and short but it's the best I can do with what I am working with. Real life is hard and if I could spend my day submerged in just the fanfiction world I would but I have responsibly i cannot ignore.

On another note I do know where this story is going so you do not need to "tell" any longer but I will gladly take into consideration some of your ideas that some of yall come up with. Some reviews have already given me amazing ideas that I have twicked to fit this in a way that I like and think that would flow and make it better.

So I am sorry if the way I update and the way i write have upset or annoyed you but there is nothing I can do for other things are more important than me writing but do not think I don't want to write or that I have given up. I have not I just have to wait for the right time to sit down and get out what I can before real life calls me back to it because my younger sister has a game or my brother has to be picked up from a detention or my mother needs my help because she is stuck in an episode.

Thank you for all of you who have stayed with me. Have been patient with me as I don't update in too long of a time. The lot of you have even been encouraging, sweet, nice and even helpful and I am sooo grateful and thankful for all of you.

Thank you soo much.

No sleep Tonight

Chapter 9

Bella twisted the front door knob and was not surprised to see it unlocked. Rolling her eyes at the wolves' carelessness, Bella headed to Paul's kitchen. She planned to make breakfast with the last thing the man had in his kitchen – Pancakes- and then convince him to go grocery shopping with her.

It would be a good exercise, for days the only places Paul had venture to was Sam's, the woods or home. Grocery shopping, something he needed desperately, would do him some good.

Leaving the notebook Bella had written the notes and lists in open on the breakfast bar to a page that would be least likely to set off the wolf, Bella proceeded to mix the batter and ladle out it on to the pan.

When the last of the batter was used up Bella sat the two plates stacked has high has Bella dared to get them without the tower tipping over, moved them to the breakfast bar with plates, silverware, syrup and other pancake essentials. What threw Bella for a loop was she was able to cook the entire thing without waking the sleeping man upstairs.

An unusual occurrence to happen with any pack member in the vicinity of a kitchen and someone was cooking. Usually the smell would draw them to the room if the sounds didn't first. Paul was one of the wolves that drew close upon hearing opposed to Embry who only entered the area when the smell became too much to ignore.

Frowning Bella whipped her hands off on a nearby hand towel she'd been using while making the pancakes and headed upstairs to check on the man of the house.

Paul's room was not messy like the other male's rooms Bella had the unfortunate experience of going into to wake one wolf or another. Quil and Jacob's were by far the worse, just the thought of them made her cringe and the little part of her that was an OCD cleaning freak had a panic attack. A few things were strewn across the floor, all shorts not one shirt, from where he was obviously too tired or lazy to make it to the dirty clothes basket.

Shaking her head, Bella picked up the jean shorts on her way to his bed and put them in the basket. Remember to finish the laundry and check the clothes in the washing machine. Hopeful I don't need to re-do them. That would suck.

Finished Bella sat on the edge of Paul's bed. The man was fast asleep, yet looked like he hadn't slept in a week. Sucking her bottom lip between her teeth, Bella worried it as she gazed upon one of the strongest men she knew. He was in the top three next to Charlie who let go even when he didn't want to. Sam who shouldered a responsibly that was not his to carry. All of them stood straight and tall and even if Paul was hunching a little Bella was determined to see him upright, proud and happy again.

Slowly reaching over, Bella trailed a hand down one of his bared arms. She spoke quietly, "Paul".

He didn't stir. Doing it again but rubbing the length of his bicep Bella coaxed the sleeping wolf to wake.

"Paul. Come on, you need to get up. We have things to do today."

He groaned turning over, yanking a pillow over his head. "Go the Fuck away."

Snorting Bella shook him with both hands on his broad back. "No. Get up, I made pancakes and we have stuff that needs to be done. So get up or I'll get you up."

The threat gave him pause. Cautiously Paul peeked at Bella from under the pillow. "You wouldn't."

Bella only smiled. "Try me."

Groaning like Bella was having him do the worst thing in the world and not just get up to eat, Paul came out from under the pillow and tossed his blanket off.

"Paul!" Bella shrieked, slapping hands over her eyes. "For the love of everything! You're naked!"

"My house"

"Oh my gosh." Bella whispered. "I'll meet you down stairs. Put something on please."

Bella didn't wait for his reply and scurried out of the room as quickly as possible with her eyes still covered, kicking the bed and the doorway in her hast.

Breathless Bella tried to keep busy by washing the things she'd used to make them food but her racing mind wouldn't stop. It wasn't the first time Bella had seen Paul naked but it was the second time she'd seen him bare in so few days. Once in the shower with water sliding down his chest following the happy trail that led to a dark patch – Stop. And then again just now with him lounging in bed which gave Bella too many ideas that she truly didn't need to be having.

Blowing out all the air out of her through her nose Bella placed the last dish in the drain board and shut off the water. Stop. No thoughts like that. It will only get you in trouble. You are here to help him, not think dirty thoughts about him and potentially scare him off.

Paul rounded the corner around the same time she finished drying her hands off, Bella was pleased and disappointed to see that he was wearing clothing, cut offs but in a pack of shape shifting men with no sense of modesty, the girls really could not be that picky. Cut offs would have to suffice or they would boycott and just go around in the buff.

No way in hell did Bella want to explain that to Charlie.

They ate in silence but Bella didn't mind it too much when she noticed out the corner of her eye that Paul was looking at the notebook. Glancing at him Bella deduced he didn't seem against anything that he read so far but that could change in an instant.

Or he could just be getting better at hiding his emotions. Bella wasn't a wolf, she could smell or sense what other people where feeling.

"I don't have anything to do today but sleep."

Bella raised on eyebrow swallowing her mouthful. "Yes, you do. Grocery shopping, like desperately."

He frowned, eyeing Bella with a narrowed gaze.

She continued eating unfazed with Paul's scrutiny until she was done. She washed the dishes and the empty plates that used to hold the stacks when she was done with that Paul nudged her out of the way and cleaned his own things. Bella let him and watched from the bar.

"Do you want to take my truck or yours?" She asked.

Paul twisted around lips pulling back into an almost snarl. "Who the fuck said I was going in the first place?"

Their gazes connected and held each other, neither one wanted to be the first to look away. "I said. You need shit and you obviously won't go and get it without someone making you. So get dress, grab your wallet and keys and let's go."

His brown almost black eyes narrowed and this time his lip curled and a growl started deep in his chest getting louder by the time it reached his lips. His eyes flashed something deadly but he wouldn't hurt her. Just like the first night, Paul would growl, snarl and spit but when it came down to it, he would leave and go beat the shit out of a tree or go for a run to gain release.

No matter how angry Bella made him, and she made him very angry 9 out of 10 times he never laid hands on her in an aggressive angry manner. She had no reason to fear him. She trusted all the wolves, Paul no exception.

Showing nothing, Bella stood strong in the face of a hot headed wolf. She waited him out. Paul growled so loud he shook and stormed out the kitchen.

Bella's eyes fluttered closed and she exhaled everything in her lungs then took a nice slow breath in.

The Battle had begun.

Arabella Whitlock –

Thank you! Yeah they don't have a lot of serious conversation and you never get to hear his side of things. YAY! Cool, I am so glad you thought I did well on that part I was worried about that conversation between them. I know this chapter is short but I hope your enjoy it.

Michelle -

You are welcome! Yay! I love when people tell me they like/love/enjoy my stories! This one wasn't very long but my goal is always to make them longer but because of the long wait between updates, i give you what I have as soon as I find a good place.

lundyred -

YAY! OOOOOHHHHH! That's good. I didn't think about that! Yes it was horrible and I think that is a very good idea.

miszharleyquinn -

Thank you! I'm so happy people like it I was worried bout their conversations. It did and she will use it well. Yes she does understand Charlie better. Hey! There may even be some more interactions between them Father/Daughter time is important. Maybe even bring Paul for some fatherly/man to man advice. Yeah lol. I can't either!I'll put a few on the next chapter! Of course, well maybe.

PaulaB87 -

Everybody needs to give Rachel a yelling and worse.

dettfany -

SWEET! Thank you! I will keep updating, they are just very spaced out. Life stops for no one. Not even a writer. Thank you. I try to keep him as similar as I can but he has to be other things than just angry all the time, he is human. Thank you! Yeah I am still working on that. Haven't decided on what I will do with it. Thank you!

cdeadgrlsampson -

Yeah but its Bella. She's a people person even if she doesn't realize it. She feeds off everyone and if something is wrong with someone she's close to it throws her whole world out of wack. Yes, the Pack is super important and Charlie is going to be too. Both of them will be extremely helpful and insightful. Yes and to let people. Nah too pushy and he'd run away for good though they will have their ups and downs. Nobody is perfect especially not these two. He does, he totally does.

Lilfifix3x3 –

OOOOOHHHHHH! I didn't even think of that! This will be good for Charlie too! OH MY GOSH, you are awesome! You brought to my attention something that completely by passed it. Thank you!He will. Dads are important and even if Bella doesn't notice, she is super important to him and he tries his best by her even if she doesn't see it. Yes you are right! You need to review more! You bring up soooo many good points and things I haven't even thought of! but yes you are right on that, that is exactly what Paul is doing but the good thing is Bella won't let him keep doing it either once she realizes what's going on. She does they will be good for each other.

redboneslady-

I hope your daughter's wedding was beautiful and that she had a wonderful day! Yeah break ups lead people down not good paths, like my sister she broke up with her boyfriend and drunk so much that when she went to go to bed she ended up getting sick. It was sad watching her, on the plus side; I don't think she'll ever do that again. But yeah we all need a guiding hand when going through something like that and Bella's been down that path, so she wants to help. Yes Rachel pissed me off and if you read on the wiki under Paul, it says he's learning to control his anger and shifting problem so he can leave with Rachel because she doesn't want to stay on the reservation. Maybe Paul likes the reservation, the friends and brothers he has there. But because she wants to leave, he has to go. It's bull. She ridiculous and makes me soo made. If you read the top note then you can understand why I dislike her so much. What good is a past if you can't learn from it and help other people? You are most welcome! Yes they complement each other nicely.

redboneslady -

Hi Again! lol I am sooo excited that you did. I have gotten many complement and it's amazed me. I worried over that conversation. Come to think of it neither have I! Sam and Bella strike me as brother/Sister. I love it when Bella's is Pack without actually being a wolf or an imprint.

Thank you to all who reviewed! Thank you to everyone who favorited and followed this story and me as an author! I love getting the emails sent to my phone!
