But yeah enjoy loves! :)

The day finally came for Marceline to announce to the Vampiric kingdom of Aaa of the wedding plans with her future husband, whom she had also yet to meet. She sighed as she left her temporary abode; she hadn't seen any sign of her little friend these past few days and wondered whether he was doing well. Making her way through the town to the kingdom, she greeted early rising shopkeepers with a kind 'good morning' and the usual 'how are you'. It was the first time that Marceline had seen so much of the kingdom's shopkeepers rise so early.

"Ah hello, Ms. Marceline! How are you this morning?" The baker she had first met when she came to the kingdom asked her as he swept the doorstep of his bakery.

Marceline smiled as she greeted him, "I'm fine Mr. Lance, uhm but if you don't mind me asking…Why is everyone up so early?"

Mr. Lance laughed, " To get ready for the ceremony of course," he came close and whispered in Marceline's ear, "oh excuse me. I meant your ceremony."

Marceline laughed, "Wow, I really feel honored, thank you!" Looking at the time, Marceline apologized and excused herself, having to get to the castle. She finally arrived at the castle, greeting the same guards that were on duty when she first came and they greeted her just as warmly. The guards led her to the dressing room where she had to prepare for the ceremony. They informed her that after she was done getting ready that she would meet the King and Queen in the throne room before heading to the balcony for the announcement. Following the announcement, the newly announced couple would walk throughout the kingdom before the kingdom-wide feast. Marceline deflated a bit at all the things that she was being told would happen, but they did sound fun and would only hope that her own announcement ceremony at her kingdom would be similar.

Arriving at the dressing room, she was met with a team of five maids, all holding prospective dresses or outfits that she could choose from. The guards informed her that they were assigned to her today so they would be outside her door if she needed them before closing the door. Marceline thanked them and glanced back at the choice of dresses; she visibly cringed at half of the frilly ones and her eyes lingered on one of them, until her eyes landed on the last one. It seemed to stand out in more ways than one. The colors were a bit dark but the overall design was a bit older yet fancy; Marceline slowly walked closer to the outfit and studied it with an awestruck expression. The other maids took it as a sign of her choice and put away the other dresses. Marceline loved the color of a dark red-black velvet, the black and white lacings intricately designed about the dress. The dress made a train down the back but disappeared in the front to show a red skirt beneath black mesh; and the sleeves were form fitting until the elbows and butterflied out with a single slit. Marceline followed the maid towards a changing screen, watching as the maid stood just beside the edge. Marceline stepped behind the screen and began to change, holding her hand out for the dress. The maid took the dress off the hanger and placed it in her hand. A few seconds later, Marceline stepped out from the changing screen and the all the maids let out a soft sigh of awe. The reaction caused Marceline to blush slightly, unused to the intense stares on her despite the fact that the dress fit her nicely and looked perfect on her. The maids were smiling as they looked at her, but quickly got to sitting her down and working on her makeup and hair. Marceline informed them to ease up on the makeup, smiling as they nodded in agreement. After an hour or so, Marceline grabbed a mirror to look at herself only to remember that it wasn't even possible. Slowly putting the mirror back down, she looked at different shoes she could wear and settled for combat boots with black leggings that reached mid-thigh. After that, she stood and asked the maids for their opinions, happy when she earned looks of approval. One of the maids held out a matching choker for her to wear. Taking the choker with a smile, Marceline put it on.

Finally Marceline was good to go and she thanked all the maids that helped her before she turned towards the door and opened it, revealing the two guards. Upon seeing her, the guards were shocked at the transformation of their new friend, only having recovered after Marceline made a teasing remark at them. The guards then led her to the throne room where she met with the King and Queen. They were happy to see her, rising from their thrones to hug her and greet her.

"My Marceline you are quite beautiful! How did I know you would go for that outfit?" The Queen beamed before turning to the King, "You lost!"

The King frowned, "That's not fair honey. . . Ah Marceline dear, did you not like the dress next to it?"

Marceline laughed, understanding what they were talking about, "Oh that one was nice but, this outfit caught my eye more…"

The Queen gave the King a look that said 'I told you so' before laughing. A guard entered the chambers to announce the arrival of their son.

"Oh it's about time," the Queen said exasperatedly, "send him in!"

Marceline turned to see who her future husband would look like. Just as her eyes gazed in the direction of the door, she saw a boy that looked familiar. The boy looked at her with the same expression before they both exclaimed, "IT'S YOU!"

The King and Queen were confused at the exchange between the two. "You two met before?" The Queen asked in shock.

They both wrinkled their noses before replying once again, "Oh we met alright."

Marshall sighed, "I wouldn't have been surprised if you told me you were a princess. Sure act all proper mannered and crap."

Marceline scoffed, "Really? I'm actually surprised that you're a prince. To think that someone as filthy morale as you would ever be fit to someday rule a kingdom."

"You look here chick, -" Marshall started before being cut off.

"Enough!" The King spoke, "Marshall, it's a shame that she knows of your little problem but if you both could kindly put aside the hostility and have fun with what the citizens have worked hard in making for you two. I'm sure they would be delighted to know their prince has been arranged to marry a lovely girl like Marceline!"

Marshall looked at his father with a look of disbelief, "Lovely girl? Her?"

The Queen chuckled, "Yes Marshall. It seems that she is already acquainted with much of our kingdom's citizens," she nodded in approval, "and it seems that they like her very much."

"What's there to like!?" Marshall said before groaning, "Fine, fine…I'll do it for the citizens…"

Marceline looked at Marshall with disinterest, "Yeah Marshall I'm pretty awesome once you stop hitting on me for my looks and actually start to get to know me. You should try it some time."

Marshall was about to fire off a remark before the look of his father stopped him; he settled for a low growl, smirking, "Game on Marcy."

Marceline's eyes widened in shock before she mirrored his smirk, "Can't wait, Marshy."

The King sighed with a laugh before he signaled for his wife beside him and them to follow behind. Leaving the throne room they migrated towards the balcony, with the citizens dutifully and eagerly waiting in the square for the reveal of the future wife of their beloved prince. With fanfare announcing the appearance of the King and Queen, the couple soon introduced the announcement of who the princess was. To much of the surprise and glee of the citizens, they were overjoyed to find out the girl they had met a week back and had grown to love was really the princess. Marceline was instructed to loop her arm with Marshall's during the whole ceremony as well as during the walk. With protests kept to themselves, they did as instructed and appeared on the balcony to all of the kingdom. Cheers erupted for the betrothed couple, and they couldn't help but smile even if they were in contact with the person they hated the most at that moment. Soon the time came for them to take their walk throughout the kingdom. As they made their way to the main gates of the castle, the guards were busy guiding the citizens to form a walkway for the couple as well as the King and Queen. None of the two teens wanted to admit that it wasn't so bad being arm and arm to one another; but that was just a weird thought.

The gates opened and Marshall and Marceline's faces lit with happiness just at the sight of all the citizens so excited and happy to see them. The King and Queen were behind the two, seeing as how it was their parade. Before the couple were a small team of guards and show people who started the parade. As they made their way out of the castle, many citizens greeted the couple with shouts of joy and screaming was a very common thing. Marceline simply loved it, just the citizens and being able to walk with Marshall and- wait what? Shaking her head with a smile she brushed the thought away. There was a slight commotion in the front and Marceline and Marshall both looked at each other and shrugged, not knowing what was going on. A few shouts of anger were heard and the crowd gasped at the interrupted parade. Marceline strained to look before seeing a group of little kids standing in the way, with a guard or two yelling at them to get out of the way. She saw Marshall start to move in her peripheral vision but she beat him to it; releasing his arm, she hurried over to the scene and called out, "Stop!"

The guard looked at Marceline with eyes of surprise before backing down and apologizing, explaining that the children were blocking the route of the parade. Marceline waved off the guard with a smile and comforting words before turning to a little voice, "Big sis!"

At hearing her nickname, she turned to scan the small group of boys until she saw a familiar black haired boy run to her and hug her leg. She grinned, "Justin! Hey buddy what's up? Haven't seen you in a while." Marceline fondly ruffled his hair.

Justin grinned, "You didn't tell me you were a princess! You didn't tell me you were marrying Prince Marshall! That's so cool!"

Marceline chuckled, "Well first off, I was on a secret mission, and second, I didn't know I was marrying him either," she grinned, "But hey, big sis is pretty awesome huh?"

Justin laughed and nodded. Marceline then asked, "So why were you in the middle of the road?"

Justin motioned to the awestruck children, "they're the bullies I told you about. . . They didn't believe that I knew you and they thought I was making it all up. So I dragged them here to show you."

Marceline leaned forward to examine each little boy who blushed in return, "Well, you kids know he's not making anything up now. Plus, I don't appreciate kids just like Justin bullying him. You all should be helping each other, not hounding on one."

The boys nodded without meeting her eyes before Marceline continued, "So? What do you say to Justin here?"

Scattered apologies came from the group of kids and Justin lit up, "It's okay guys!" Justin turned to look at Marceline and saw Marshall approaching, "Oh! Prince Marshall!"

Marshall appeared behind Marceline and laughed, "and it's just Marshall to you kid,"

Justin blinked before he smiled, "Okay Marshall!"

Marceline laughed, forgetting that they were in the middle of a parade. She looked around and saw that many of the citizens had a smile on their face as well as the guards and the King and Queen. She smiled before saying, "I'm sorry for the interruption, but apparently a little friend of mine and his friends came to see me, the parade will resume!" Cheers once again erupted before Marceline turned back to Justin and the group of boys and crouched, "Alright kids, how about you guys walk with us in the parade?"

Their eyes gleamed with happiness at what they heard. "Are you serious?!" Justin yelled. Marceline laughed as she nodded. Justin agreed before launching himself at her with a hug as did the other boys. Laughing, she stood up and took hold of Justin's little hand and once again looped her hand with Marshall's as the other boys followed her back to their positions. The parade started once again as the boys danced and played around the couple, occasionally saying hi to the King and Queen who happily greeted them back.

It was around noon when the parade finally ended; the center square was decorated and set up for the last portion of the ceremony, the feast. The feast was to start a little after noon and go on for the rest of the day. The King, Queen, and newly betrothed couple had their own table facing all of their citizens. Slowly, the citizens took their seats as the four main guests took their seats in the front table and the group of boys also had their own table. Everyone was free to eat or dance for as long as the party went. Marceline opted to eat first before making her way to the dance area, pleasantly watching her future citizens enjoy themselves and occasionally talking to the King and Queen, and even Marshall. They made small talk every now and then while eating, with the occasional snide comments exchanged. Soon they both finished and headed to the dance area but didn't dance with each other, but with the citizens. Marshall danced mostly with the female citizens but with respect, to Marceline's surprise; whereas Marceline danced with everyone old and young alike. She encouraged many to dance with her and sometimes pulled them to dance with her. Both Marshall and Marceline made the dance area lively despite being on different sides and this sight made the King and Queen happy. They began to believe that Marceline could be the person to change the behavior of their son, all they had to do was give it time.

Soon the time came for the ceremony to come to an end. As a closing for the ceremony, the betrothed couple gave a short closing speech before dismissing the citizens for the night. As the citizens bade goodnight to the couple, the workers of the castle began the long work of clearing the dish wares and breaking down the decorations. Before long, most of the citizens had gone and it was about time for the King and Queen to retire home.

"Marceline, you may stay in a guest room we prepared for you. Will you be returning with us?" The Queen asked.

"Nah, I'm gonna help clean up. I'll follow later, but thanks." Marceline smiled.

"Oh that's so sweet of you! Though I doubt you can work in those clothes, am I right?" The Queen inquired.

Marceline looked down at herself and realized she was in the dress the whole day, "Ahh true, but I can deal. Don't worry!"

The King nodded, "Very well. Marshall usually helps clean up after any event. Judging by his absence at the moment I'm sure he's already cleaning somewhere."

Marceline hummed in response before bidding them goodnight. She looked for one of the people in charge of cleaning and spotted one, heading towards him. Seeing her coming, the head cleaner smiled, "Ah! Lady Marceline, y-you're still here?"

She simply smiled, "I'm here to help."

The man looked at her with wide eyes, " L-Lady Marceline, that's very kind but you don't have to! You must be tired, you should rest!"

Marceline frowned, "Come on dude, I can handle it. I might be tired, but you've all been working for the whole day. You're all tired than I am; the least I could do is help you guys clean."

The man was shocked at the Prince's fiancée and how adamant she was in helping, he couldn't help but smile, "Y-yes ma'am! If you could help us collect the remaining dishes and silverware from the tables, we'll be able to begin taking them away."

Marceline grinned before fake saluting, "Awesome! Keep up the good job!"

As Marceline left, the head cleaner chuckled before checking up on other people. Marceline swiftly collected the dishes first, walking up and down the lengths on tables and collecting them as if she were going by an unheard rhythm. Balancing the collected dishware, she brought them to the washer in charge. She then wasted no time in grabbing two bins to collect the silverware in, once again moving in a rhythmic way. It wasn't until she finished collecting all the silverware did she make eye contact with Marshall. Marshall had a confused expression as to why Marceline was holding a bin full of silverware, while in her ceremony dress. Marceline raised an eyebrow before calling out, "Don't look at me like that dude, I'm helping."

She then turned towards the direction of the temporary kitchen with bin in hand, leaving a surprised Marshall behind. Shaking his head, he continued on his way, heading to his next task. The two didn't catch a glimpse of each other for the rest of the cleaning time, but they were able to clean faster with the help of Marceline. When they finally finished cleaning, many people thanked Marceline for helping; in turn Marceline simply shook her head and dismissed the thank you's. Marceline thanked them for their hard work and bade them a good rest and good night before walking slowly back to the castle where she would spend the night. She planned on leaving the following afternoon.

After what felt like forever, Marceline reached castle. The guards quickly opened the gates and ushered her to the maids, who also rushed her to take a bath and go to sleep. The bath felt crazy good after a long day, but as tired as she was, she could only wonder if this was what a bath felt like to the servants that worked not only here but her home as well. Sighing, she left the thought and dressed in pajamas before making a beeline for the bed. As soon as her head hit the pillow, she was out like a light.
