Holy hiatus! My life is so busy. I really am trying to write more, honest! Summer's hard, I spend so much time outside with my horses. And I got promoted at work so I have like no time.

I do hope you enjoy this though! Reviews are always welcome!

"Hey, can you pass me my notebook?" Alex asked Nicky as she leaned forward. Piper was currently tangled up in her lap making studying, or movement for that matter, nearly impossible.

Nicky grinned. "Come and get it Vause."

Alex groaned and threw the nearest book at her. "Nichols give me my fucking notebook."

Piper laughed and ducked out of the way before said notebook hit her in the head as it was tossed back to Alex. It was late in the afternoon and the girls had not made all that much progress on the homework they had been trying to do. Piper didn't help much as she spent the majority of the day curled up next to her dark haired girlfriend.

Girlfriend? Was that what they were now? Piper still wasn't sure. All she knew was she was very happy and comfortable and didn't want this to end. Alex had one arm wrapped around her while the other flipped through the pages of her math book. She felt her lips touch the back of her head and her eyes closed in contentment.

Nicky made a gagging sound. "Must you kiss her every other second?" Piper was getting used to Nicky's sarcasm and lack of filter. She had a wicked grin on her face and it was clear she was glad her friend was happy. A little disgusted at times but happy.

"Yes." Alex said firmly as she leaned down and pressed her mouth against Piper's. Time stood still, as it always did. The kiss was short and sweet but the earth may as well have exploded and neither of them would have noticed. Alex pulled back and they locked eyes. Piper's heart raced, as it always did. She was fairly certain that no one should be as beautiful as Alex. It was unfair to the rest of civilization really.

Her black hair had shifted to cover the left side of her glasses as she continued to stare at Piper; a sly smile forming at the edge of her lips. Her perfect, beautiful, totally kissable lips.

Christ Chapman, keep it in your pants.

Piper sighed inwardly and tried to ignore the fact that Alex's face was still mere inches from hers. She could see Nicky out of the corner of her eyes smirk and take a swig of her drink.

Alex's phone suddenly rang, making both girls jump. Laughing, Alex reached into her pocket.

"Hey Mom." She answered, still with an arm wrapped around Piper. "What? All right. No no I'll be fine. No that's not necessary. I have a job now, remember? I can afford my own dinner. I will be fine! Have a good night. Love you." Chuckling, Alex hung up her phone and dropped it beside her.

"Sorry about that. That was my mom. She's working an overnight tonight and she was stressing about leaving me alone for the evening."

"She is always worrying every time she's gone for a night. You must have been a problem child." Nicky commented.

Alex laughed. "I get into more trouble over here then I ever did at home."

"Ain't that the truth," Nicky laughed.

"It is getting late though. I probably should be heading out." Alex stood up and gathered her books, Piper following suit.

All Piper could think about was that Alex was going home to an empty house. An empty house that would remain empty all night. She didn't dare ask Alex if she could come over. That would be rude and Piper didn't want anything bad to happen to the relationship.

"I'll see you later." Nicky said to Alex, then looked Piper up and down. "Nice meeting you blondie."

Piper smiled uncomfortably. She was curious to the way Nicky was looking at her. "Likewise."

She followed Alex down the stairs. "Bye Red!" Alex shouted through the house before opening the front door.

The girls stepped into the cold. It was getting late. Only about 5 o'clock but it was already dark. Piper saw her breath in the air as she rubbed her hands together. At least it had stopped snowing.

"Well...I guess I should be going. I had a very nice time with you today." Piper said awkwardly, still hoping Alex would invite her over.

"I had a good time with you today too..." Alex leaned in and touched her lips to Pipers. Despite the cold, Piper felt warmth spread through her entire body. "How did you get here?"

"I took the bus. It should still be running now. If not I'll just take the train or something." Piper rambled.

"How about I give you a lift? I'd hate for you to have to sit on the bus in the dark with creepy gross people." Creepy gross people? Of all the things that Alex could say, she chose that? Piper chuckled softly.

"But that's like an hour out of your way!"

"Your point?"

"That's...it's a lot of...I don't think..." Piper was unable to form a sentence as Alex was currently pressing her lips back to her, making thinking impossible.

"I really don't mind."

"Okay. Fine." Piper breathed.

Alex smiled, glad she had won the battle, and led Piper to her car. Piper got into her car and nervously started tapping her fingers on her knee. It was now or never to ask.

\

"Would you like to come back to my place?" Alex asked, sounding much more confident than she felt.

Piper's head shot up. "I'd love to!" She said, enthusiastically.

Alex smiled ear to ear. "Awesome! I mean..you don't have to stay that long but we could hang our for a while and I could always bring you home later." Alex secretly hoped she'd stay the night but she didn't want to ask. She didn't want to seem to eager and scare Piper away.

"Okay. Let me just call my mom and tell her I won't be home until late." Piper took out her cell phone, and after a brief conversation with her mother, put her phone down and leaned back in her seat.

Alex looked at her out of the corner of her eyes. God, she's so fucking pretty. She was a bundle of nerves. She had brought a few girls home before but this was different. Piper wasnt one of the girls she'd sleep with than not call the next day. She wanted this to last. Something between them felt so incredible, and it kept growing everyday.

The ride back to Alex's was silent, the only sound was Alex's heartbeat pounding out of her chest. She fussed with the radio, trying to distract herself from the fact that she could smell Piper's perfume and feel the heat coming off her body. She took a deep breath and tried to focus on the road.

After an hour drive that felt like 2 weeks, Alex pulled the car into her driveway. The outside light was on by the door, which Alex was thankful that her mother had turned it on before she left. She wasn't sure she'd be able to unlock the door in the dark the way her body was shaking.

Piper got out of the car and walked up the walkway with Alex, not saying a word. "I know it's not much...but it's home." Alex said nervously as she opened the door and let them in. She lived in a simple one story house that was nothing special to most people. The carpet could probably be replaced, the tv and couches were outdated, and the only thing hanging on the wall were pictures of Alex and her Mother over the years. She hoped Piper didn't notice them. Alex had been an awkward kid,

"It's perfect," Piper said quietly as she looked around. She hugged her jacket closer to herself.

"Are you cold? I can turn up the heat." Alex's mom would kill her for sure. They lived on a tight budget and heat jacked up the electric bill, but she didn't want Piper uncomfortable.

"No, no I'm fine. Thanks." She said as she slipped the jacket off and hung it over her arm.

"Here, let me take that." Alex reached out for Piper's jacket, her fingers brushing against the blonde's arm. Both girls shivered at the touch. "Would you like the grand tour?"

Piper nodded quietly. Alex led her through the house, showing her the kitchen, bathroom, walking past her mothers room, and finally ending up in her room. She slowly pushed the door open. Her bed was still unmade from this morning but everything else was tidy. She was glad she had decided to clean up last night.

"Do you want a drink or something?" Alex was not usually this awkward.

"No, I'm good thanks." Piper sat at the edge of her bed. She seemed to be ready to say something but was also to nervous to speak. Her blonde hair fell across her face as she looked down at the floor."Can I...I mean would you mind...Do you think I can stay over tonight?"

Alex's head shot up and she caught Piper's eye. "Of course!" She said enthusiastically. She hoped not to enthusiastically. She walked over the where Piper sat and kissed her softly on the lips.

Before she could pull back, Piper wrapped her arms around her and pulled Alex against her. She paused in surprise, but only for a minute before she kissed back harder, slowly pushing Piper down onto the bed. Piper's arms were still tight around Alex's waist as Alex bit her lower lip, smiling in satisfaction as Piper softy moaned.

Piper ran her hands under Alex's shirt, slowly lifting it up. Alex stopped abruptly and pulled back. "Are you sure?" She asked, although she already knew the answer. Piper had a look in her eye that she had never seen before. Her eyes were sparkling, and full of passion.

"Yes," Piper whispered, making Alex's knees go weak.

Alex took her glasses off and put them neatly to the side, then slowly leaned back in, placing her lips on Pipers.

I didn't go into much detail with what we know is about to happen, mainly because they are teenagers so I didn't want to get to graphic. I can add a little more description next time if you guys want but I don't want to totally stray from the fact of their age.
