Even though it's completed, Need for Speed Most Wanted is STILL getting reviews and favs! I love you guys!

For those of you who are wondering...yes, I am working on a sequel for Need For Speed Most Wanted. It's slow, but I am working on it. Keep your fingers crossed that I can actually finished one of the versions I have.

As for this one... 13 Reviews, 34 Followers, 26 Favorites, and 3,861 Views. Keep the love coming guys.

EmeraldDagger - As for Kira getting a replacement for Diablo...you'll just have to see.

Princess Fairy Yuugi - Even though I like Vince, I like Johnny too. With me, if I give attention to one fav, I got to give attention to the other as well.

Retardedkllama - It's sad that there are so few Johnny fics. If you've seen the part where he was asking the dude about the engines for the Civics they were going to run at Race Wars and he stands, for a second, his shirt presses against his stomach and you can see he's ripped. That, for me, is instant love.

Chapter 10

Johnny's dad had been more than happy to get me a new car and with Lance to help us pick the right one, he had it shipped overnight and now days later, we were working on it when I got a call from Dom.

Wondering if everything was all right over at the Fort, I answer it. "Yeah?"

"You doing all right Kira?" Dom.

"Yeah, I'm good. What's up? Everybody all right at the Fort?"

"Things have gotten a bit crazier and Jess' ADD is really acting up since he's worrying about you. I'm sending him your way, see if being around you and cars will help calm him down." He replied.

"Everything all right over there?" Johnny asked softly.

"It's gotten a bit crazier and everybody's worried about me to the point Jess' ADD is acting up. Dom is sending him over here to see if being around me and cars helps." I told him.

"It's fine by me. We could use another pair of hands with the RX. The talent of the Mad Scientist would be a big help." He answered.

"Johnny doesn't mind and I sure as hell don't mind." I told Dom.

A few minutes later, Jesse walks into the garage and being the one to spot him first, Johnny grabs a foot and pulls me out from under the RX, pointing to Jess once I was clear. I sit up and once I get a good look at him, immediately rise and go to him. The poor kid looked a mess. He looked haggard, like he hadn't slept well in days and he was smoking, which only meant one thing, he was stressed. Jesse only lit up when he was stressed. And by the shaking of the hand that held the cigarette, I knew his nerves were almost shot.

"Get him into the office and get him calmed down." Johnny told me softly. "The kid's in no condition to work on a car. When he's back to something resembling normal, we'll see."

"I would take him to the Fort, sort of put him in more familiar conditions, but with those thugs still after me, I don't think it's a good idea." I replied, throwing an arm around Jesse's shoulders and guiding him to the enclosed room in the back. Closing the door to drown out the noise from the garage, I steered him to the couch. Taking the cigarette from him, I stubbed it out in the ashtray on the desk. Neither Johnny nor Lance smoked, but one or two on the crew did. That done, I sat beside him and immediately, Jess fell against me, lanky arms going around my waist and burrowing his face into my shoulder. I wrapped my own arms around him and held him tight, giving him all the comfort he could stand.

"Everything's all right little brother, calm down." I soothed, rubbing his back.

"You were right about them." His voice shook and he stumbled over his words. Dom was right; his ADD was really acting up. "They are serious trouble."

"Did any of you get hurt?"

I felt him shake his head. "Just mainly scared the hell out of us."

I took off his beanie and ran my fingers through his short hair. "Just calm down Jess. Did Dom tell you?"

"Tell me what?"

"Reaper's bombing only pissed me off. I'm going to end this once and for all by racing for my freedom." I told him.

"You don't have a car, Kira. Unless you're going to use the Honda you won from Tran." By the sound of his voice, I could tell he was calming down bit by bit.

I shook my head and pointed to the RX and where Johnny and Lance worked under the hood. "That's going to be my new bad boy."

He looked at it for a minute. "An RX- 7?"

I nodded. "If I figure things right, he's going to play dirty, so I'll need something not only fast, but agile as well, in order to outmaneuver him when he does try something." I explained. "We'd really appreciate it if the Mad Scientist could put his skills to work in making this bad boy the baddest thing on the streets."

"I know you're as good as Dom, but what if you don't win?"

"I'll do the run my brother botched. Either way, I get my freedom."

"What if he wants to kill you though?"

I shook my head. "I don't know Jess. I just hope to hell he's open to negotiation." I told him, resting my elbows on my knees and lowering my head. "Even though I'm tired of it and want it to end, I'm still scared he'll want my death as compensation for my brother botching the run."

I looked over at him when I felt him take one of my hands and twine our fingers together. The shaking in his hand has calmed and he looks better than when he came in. "We'll do anything we can to help."

"Thanks little brother. If it does so happen I lose and he has me do the run, I've got a bad feeling he'll set the cops on me to make it even harder." I admitted.

He gently squeezed my hand. "Like I said, we'll do whatever we can. Even if it means keeping the cops off your ass so you can complete the run." A lock of hair had come loose from my ponytail and he tucked it behind my ear. "Me and the gang like you too much to lose you. And just from what I've seen between you and Tran, he's the same way. He won't like losing you either."

"How do you know something is going on between me and Johnny?"

"The way he looks at you. It's the same way Vince looks at Mia. There's just something… more." Jess replied. "You know Vince was just using you, right?" He asked softly after a minute, almost hesitant.

I sighed. "Yeah, I kind of figured he was. Whenever we were around Mia, I constantly caught him watching her and hoped it would end now that he had an actual girl. As much as I hoped, it didn't stop, in fact, V watched her more than ever." I played with my ponytail, twirling a couple strands around a finger. "Knowing I was only being used to satisfy his lust for Mia, makes me wonder if I should regret letting him be my first."

Jesse almost choked on that one, eyes going wide. "Vince was your first?" I nodded.

"Being on the run like I was, I didn't have time for a relationship. In fact, I never trusted a guy well enough to allow something like that to happen. I have been asked out, several times in fact, but I always refused. I didn't want to get into a relationship only to run."

"How'd it happen with you and Vince?"

I shook my head. "I don't really know. I suppose being around the crew, having an actual family I could rely on, caused me to let down my guard, and it happened when I wasn't paying attention." I told him, then added, "But he wasn't really right for me Jess." My phone goes off again. "Yeah?"

"Got Leon coming your way." Dom answered.

"Don't tell me he's stressed too."

There's soft laughter. "Not really. He just got in a fight with Vince and he's heading your way on his own. Thought I'd warn you."

"What made him mix it up with Vince?"

"From what I could tell, Leon was upset with Vince for not worrying about you like the rest of us were." He replied.

I look over at Jess where he seems amused. "Talk about a coinky dink. We were just talking about him." I go to the door and open it. "Be on the lookout for a yellow Skyline."

"What for?" Johnny asks, curious.

"Leon got in a fight with Vince and he's coming this way on his own." I replied. Both cousins look amused.

"Oh, really?" Dom sounded amused.

"Really. Jess informed me V was only using me." I could literally sense the anger flowing off the bigger man and rushed to calm him before the Toretto temper took itself out on the Coyote. "He's in love with your sister D. Not me. He was only using me to satisfy his desire for her."

Dom sighs. "I've known that for years but there's nothing I can do about it. Mia literally grew up with him and sees him as only a brother. He's only setting himself up for heartbreak when the reality of it finally occurs to him. He would have been better off with you."

"Not really D." I slide a glance at Jess. "Both times I was with Vince, he got a little rough. Rougher than I would have liked."

Jess goes red. "Too much info K."

I smile and run a hand through his hair. "Sorry about that little brother."

"Which one?" Dom asks as I spot Leon walk into the garage. A few minutes chatter with Johnny and Lance, they must be teasing him for getting into a fight with his supposedly best friend as theres light laughter. I watch as Leon looks over the RX and looking over his shoulder at me, grins and gives me a thumbs up. Evidently he approved of my choice.

"Huh?" The question had thrown me for a loop.

"In order for you to know you don't like it a certain way, you must have been with someone else who's treated you differently." He explained. "So which one and when?"

"Why you wanna know?"

"I'm just curious as to who would be able to make you switch sides on us."

"I haven't switched sides Dom, you guys are still family to me. Said family has now grown to include Johnny and his family." I told him. "If you really want to know, it was Johnny the night Reaper got bombed."

Dom starts laughing. "I didn't interrupt you guys, did I?"

"I had just gotten to sleep not two hours before you called." I shot back, knowing he was getting way too much amusement out of this. Dom laughs harder. "Tell the world, why don't you?"

"Thanks, I will." He laughs.

"Come on Dom!" I whine.

"Alright, alright, don't get your panties in a bunch." That sends him off again. Like he enjoyed screwing with me and Vince, he was going to enjoy doing the same thing with me and Jhonny. I put my palm over my face. I just couldn't win, could I?

"I so hate you right now Dominic Toretto." I growled softly, not really meaning it.

"Love you too kid." I hear him reply through his laughter. I shook my head. The two of us had one weird relationship. We were not related by blood yet we bickered and play fought like actual blood siblings. Even more so than I had with my foster brother.

There's movement and I hear Letty. "What'd you say to get Dom laughing his ass off?" I told her. "Yeah, that'd do it. So you and Johnny Tran, huh? He treating you okay? I'd hate to have to come up there and kick his ass if he wasn't."

I smile. "He's treating me just fine, Letty. With him, I know I won't have to fight with him being distracted by another female."

"You mean Vince, don't you?" She sighs. "He'd be better off leaving that girl alone before he got himself hurt. I know the guy can be an ass, but he's like a brother. Even though I know he deserves to get shutdown by Mia, I'd still hate to see him hurt, you know?"

"I know Letty."

"You sure he's treating you alright?"

"Johnny's not really as tough as he acts, Letty. He's got his rough edges, but he's really sweet."

"Somebody's got it bad." She grinned.

"He's got a niece, you know."

"Really?"

"His sister, Michelle, has a little girl and he loves her to death."

"So he's good with kids, huh?"

"Treats her as if she were his own." I told her.

"If he treats a kid like that, I know he's treating you right. And as long as you're happy, I'm good." A few more minutes of chatter and we hang up. I notice Jesse yawning. "Tired?"

He nods. "Worrying about you has really screwed with my sleep."

"Why don't you lay down on the couch and take a nap?" I suggested. "You don't have to start helping us right away. Leo's here as well."

Jesse turned to look out the window at where Leon was helping Johnny. Lance had disappeared somewhere. "When'd he get here?"

"Few minutes ago. He got into a fight with Vince and came here on his own." I told him.

"Those two are like brothers and there's only one reason I can think of that would cause them to get into it."

"Me." I reply. "Take a nap, Jess, you need one. I won't leave you." I sat down on the couch and got comfortable, propping my boots up on the coffee table. After a minute, he curled up and rested his head on my lap. Between the soothing sounds coming from the garage, my fingers in his hair and my humming, he was soon out of it. Wanting to go over the designs for the RX while I had a chance, I sent Johnny a text asking him to bring my laptop to the office. A few minutes later, both Johnny and Leon appeared. Leon softly snickered while Johnny didn't look too happy with Jesse's position.

"Calm down, man, she loves him like a brother." Leon told him softly, evidently knowing Johnny wasn't going to be too pleased about Jesse having his head on my lap. It was true, out of the entire Team Toretto family, Jesse had become the little brother I would kill someone over while Dom had become this protective big brother while Leon had become my best friend. Mia and Letty were like sisters to me and at the moment, I was unsure of how I felt about Vince since the change. I suppose that, since he had been my first, even for a short while, that I would always have a special place for him in my heart. I've heard it said that no matter how many boyfriends you have throughout your life, you never forget your first. That would be true with the Coyote of Team Toretto.

"Dom gave me a heads up you were headed this way." I told Leon as Johnny set my laptop up on the desk and proceeded to bring up the designs we had worked on with Lance a few days ago.

"Got into a fight with Vince and needing to cool down, figured it was a good idea to head here." He replied. "Besides, I wanted to see how you were doing since you lost Reaper."

I idly ran my fingers through Jess' hair as I spoke. I knew if I stopped, he'd probably wake up. The gesture unconsciously told him I was nearby. "I've been alright. Sure, losing Reaper hurt, but it pissed me off more than anything else. It's time I put an end to this. I'm tired of running."

He tilted his head to where the RX sat. "Is that what that's for?"

"She wants to race for her freedom." Johnny told him.

"And what if he has something faster?" Leon asked, looking over the designs for the RX.

I shrug. "Then I'll do the run my brother screwed up."

"And what if he's not open to negotiation?"

I shook my head, looking down at where Jess slept, completely unaware to the conversation. "I have no idea Leo. But that's what scares me."

"You know whatever happens, we've got your back." Leon told me.

Johnny nodded as he leaned against the desk. "I won't lose you to something you had no hand in."

Leon grinned between us. "Something is going on between you two." He looked at me. "Spill."

Johnny looks at me. "Dom knows, as well as Letty, and I bet you twenty bucks the whole crew will know by day's end because of them." I told him in reply.

"And once the crew knows, every other crew will know before the week is out." Leon smirked. "News gets around quick."

"No shit." I retorted.

"You're acting like it's a bad thing." Lance spoke up from the door. Now I see where he had gone, pick up Sarah from school, since Michelle was taking college courses this year. She wanted to work with kids in the medical field. I forgot what the name was. Even though she could take her daughter to school, she needed one of us to pick her up. Seeing two new people in the room, Sarah stepped behind Lance and peered around him at Leon.

"It's not. If they don't like it, they can kiss my ass." I look up at Johnny. "It's because of me you and Dom are no longer at each other's throats when you're in the vicinity of each other."

"She's got a point." Leon told the other two.

I turn my attention to the child, suddenly shy with the newcomers. "It's alright Sarah. I told you about my friends right?" The child gave a nod, inching out from behind Lance a bit. "That's Leon and this is Jesse. Leo, that's Sarah, Michelle's little girl."

"Cute kid." Leon crouched down so he was at Sarah's level. "Gonna come over here and say hi?" I looked up at Johnny and gave a subtle nod when Sarah didn't so much as budge. There was one way to get Sarah to go to a friend she hadn't met, let her know it was safe to go to the stranger. Reaching behind him, I hear a drawer open and Johnny leaned back slightly as he reached for a piece of candy. Hearing a candy wrapper, Sarah's eyes snapped from Leon to Johnny, knowing what was in the drawer her uncle Johnny was reaching into. Withdrawing a lollipop, Johnny tapped Leon's shoulder with it. Leon looked at it then at me.

"Give it to Sarah Leo. Michelle and Johnny trained her not to go to strangers unless she saw them given a piece of candy to give to her by those she recognizes as family, meaning Michelle, Johnny, Lance, Johnny's father, and now me." I explained. "Jess will have to do the same thing once he wakes up. It's the only way you'll get her to come near you."

"Good thinking, in this city." Leon looked up at Johnny and taking the lollipop from him, offered it to Sarah.

Keep the love coming you guys.
