He held the sword above his head, savoring every second that passed before he finishes off his prey.

"Any last words before I end your lives?" he said smiling sadistically, "After I kill you I'll have even more of my memories! You'll be my," he stopped and got a curious expression, as if he was trying to solve a math problem in his head, "well you'll be one of the amount of people I've killed here, say good bye."

Time began to slow as the two girls stared death in the eyes. They saw as the sword slowly came down, as their mind processed reality at a negative rate, slowly watching as their death became closer and closer. Their bodies felt heavy, and their minds were numb with fear as the adrenaline rushed through their veins. All they could do was stare almost lifelessly, as they were about to meet their end as the sword came closer and closer. Their life was over. Or, so they thought.

"Ice Make: Geyser!" a voice cried out as a block of ice sprouted from the ground. Grimmjow jumped to the side to avoid it.

"G-Grey…" Ur gasped as she choked on the blood in her throat.

Grey stood there, eyes full of rage as he looked back and fourth from the attacker to is friends. His blood boiled with so many emotions, as the feeling of guilt made a home in his stomach. I-I-I failed to protect her… again.

Grimmjow stood their with an irritating look, "Damn," he said, "Just when I was getting to the good part, but you look like you'll be some fun so I guess I'll play with you," he said still wearing that sadistic expression.

"You… You did this?" he said with his eyes silhouetted in shadows.

"Of course, and I'm about to do the same to you," he said arrogantly.

Grey fell for the jab and immediately charged at the attacker. He just stood there waiting for Grey to get close enough so he could finish him off with one blow. Grey knew it was a bad idea to charge so recklessly, but the rage consumed him and his blood lust could be felt in the air.

Then, he felt something approaching, and his attacker got a curious look that cued he felt the same thing, but Grey kept sprinting toward his attacker, then a whistling sound slowly began to get louder. Then, what appeared to be a person wrapped in lighting fell from the sky and impacted the space between Grey and Grimmjow. Smoke and dust was everywhere and it impaired both of their vision. When it finally cleared, there was a man in a blue suit of samurai armor and a crescent moon shape on his helmet. The other more noticeable features were his eye patch and the six swords he had, three sheathed on each side of his hips. He stood with one sword drawn aiming it directly at Grimmjow.

Grimmjow began to feel annoyed at all the flies that kept appearing.

"Heh, some party you got going on here. I thought I'd come see it for myself, but it doesn't look to be all that fun," the unidentified man said arrogantly.

"And just who in the hell are you?" Grimmjow said in an annoyed tone.

"I'm the one eyed dragon of Oshu, Masamune Date," he said giving him a half cocky smile.

"Get out of my way!" Grey cried out.

Masamune turned around to face Grey and said, "And you, just what in the hell are you doing! You know that one wrong move with a guy like this and your dead!"

"I said move!"

"And what would you have done if your friend were caught up your battle!" a mixture of shock and guilt replaced Greys furious expression, "What would you have done if your own recklessness got them killed?"

Grey dropped his head in defeat as tears fell from his cheek. He looked back up with an apologetic glace, but it was replaced by shock as Masamune was unaware, but Grimmjow was stand directly behind him with his sword drawn above his head.

Masamune looked confused as Grimmjow brought his sword down in an attempt to strike him, but another man appeared from what seemed like nowhere and blocked the attack. When the swords clashed Masamune immediately drew one of his swords and turned, the other man forced Grimmjow of balance and ducked while Masamune slashed horizontally connecting with Grimmjow's Katana, forcing him to slide back ten yards.

"Whoa that was close, thanks Kojuro," he said resting the dole part of his blade on his shoulder and giving Kojuro a smile.

"It was merely part of my duty to watch your back," he said modestly.

"And you!" Masamune pointed at Grimmjow, "What kind of man beats up on defenseless woman and attacks people from their back! Tch, man you are worthless."

"Heh, please your like a bug to me, I bet your power is as good as your lame trash talking skills," he said arrogantly.

"Challenge accepted," he responded with a half smile, "Kojuro, get the girls out of here. Me and the kid will take care of this."

"Yes Lord Masamune."

He quickly made his way to the girls and threw each one over his shoulders.

"That's my prey," Grimmjow vanished from his old position and was now standing directly behind Kojuro, "You're not going anyw-"

"To slow!" Masamune called as he charged Grimmjow's back with one sword, forcing him to turn and guard. Grimmjow quickly drew his sword and clashed in a deadlock with Masamune.

"Kojuro, hurry!"

"Right!" He quickly made his way away from the field of battle.

"Damn it! That was my prey! You're gonna pay for that," he said sadistically.

"Try me then," Masamune arrogantly responded, forcing him out of the deadlock. Each person jumped a few yards back and prepared for battle.

Grey took a spot next to Masamune, "I'll back you up."

"Do what you like. And uh… What happened to your shirt?"

Grey looked down and saw that he was no longer wearing anything on his torso, "Uh… Just concentrate on the battle!" He said with embarrassment clearly in his voice.

"You gonna attack or what?" Grimmjow challenged.

"Alright lets do this!" Masamune called out.

Lighting began to radiate of his body, the sound of its crackling whipped through the air and surrounded the space around Masamune, surrounding his body. Then it just stopped, and he stood there with his one sword drawn for a moment. Then he took of at a blinding speed that caused a crater to form where he was once standing, thrusting at his opponent. Grimmjow was taking in almost by surprise as look of shock replaced his expression. He quickly threw his word up to defend himself. The swords clashed and a shock wave from the impact flew through the air causing the wind around them to whip and thrash violently. They stood there for a moment in a deadlock as Grimmjow's troubled expression showed that he didn't expect this kind of power from his opponent.

"Who the hell are you?" Grimmjow asked trying to gain some ground in their deadlock.

"I told you I'm the one eye dragon!" He cried out as the lighting began to radiate from his body once again. He thrusted more force into his sword causing Grimmjow to slide back a few yards. Before regaining his balance, Masamune rushed to the left then vanished to the right side of Grimmjow. He ducked in coming up with a diagonal upper slash. Grimmjow's expression was clearly troubled as he parried the blow.

Masamune kept the momentum going, as he began to hack and slash. Grimmjow was put completely on the defensive as he parried and blocked one attack after the other. Masamune then slashed downward which was once again blocked. He pulled his sword back and put all the force he could into a vertical slash. Lighting radiated off the bladed. Grimmjow knew that if this blow connected it would be over. In a panic, he put his blade in the path of Masamune's.

The blades connected causing a shock wave to blow of the swords, but Masamune put more force behind it once they connected and sent Grimmjow flying backwards through two trees and finally smacked into the third one. He slid down and landed on his rear.

"Damn, this guy is better than I thought," he said still dazed.

"Ice Make: Lance!" Grey cried out as he thrusted his hand forward and out shot several ice lance colliding with the ground causing dust and smoke to fill the air. Once it cleared, Grimmjow was nowhere to be seen.

"Hey kid I'm over he-" Grimmjow called but was interrupted by a shadow that appeared over him. He looked up and saw a giant ice pillar falling from the sky. Grimmjow jumped to the side avoiding collision with it.

Once he landed, Masamune was already at his back swinging his sword. Grimmjow quickly turned and stopped the attack with his blade but the force sent him sliding back several yards. Grey took a spot next to Masamune and the two stood there eying their opponent.

"Tch, you guys are better than I thought," he said arrogantly.

"You've got no chance against the two of us," Masamune said, "Surrender and I might let you live."

"Man I didn't want to have to do this on flies, but I guess I have no choice," The duo of heroes both were disturbed by that statement, "I'll release my Zanpak-"

"Howl! Zabimaru!"

Grimmjow turned and saw a long blade that seemed to extend coming straight for him. He defended himself by colliding his blade with the unknown blade and was pushed back several yards. A man in a black shihakusho and red hair appeared from out of the trees.

"If you want to kill them you're gonna have to go through mw," the man declared.

"Another insect, tch, guess I got no choice," Grimmjow murmured to himself, "I'll leave for now but don't think you've seen the last of me!"

"Wai-" Grey called out but Grimmjow had already vanished.

The man with red hair walked over to he duo.

"Who are you?" Masamune asked.

"My name is Renji Abarai, nice to meet you," he said unenthusiastically.

"Why did you do that," Grey cried out in a frenzy, "We had him until you interfered!"

"That men was about to release his true power, if I hadn't stepped in you might have been killed," Renji responded.

"That's bullsh-"

"That's enough!" Masamune said in a firm voice. Grey stopped and dropped his head in anger, "Look, we don't have time to argue, your friends are hurt remember?" Greys face lit up and was about to speak but was interrupted by Masamune, "My buddy Kojuro is with them so I'm sure they're fine, I'll go to them. You should looked around and try to find some help, kay?"

Grey looked like he wanted to say something but just nodded as he felt this was the best option, though he wished he could go to them himself.

"And what about you?" Masamune looked at Renji.

"I guess I'll go with the kid and make sure he doesn't get into any trouble, that okay with you?" he looked at Grey but he had already gone into the forest looking for help.

A few hours had passed and Grey couldn't seem to find anyone, when he felt several powers clashing. He rushed over as he recognized one of them to belong to his friend Natsu. When he got there he saw a man in a mask standing over the unconscious bodies of his friend Natsu and another boy lying next to him. He was holding a Kunai, raised above his head.

"NO! Ice make: La-" then in a moment, another man appeared from nowhere over the masked man's head and hit him with what looked like a blue spiral ball and then flipped over to Natsu's and side and immediately vanished with them into thin air. Grey looked around for any sign of them but saw nothing. He didn't stay around to see what happened to the masked man; instead he rushed into the forest desperately looking for something. He ran for hours looking for something, anything that cue to him Natsu's presence. But he found nothing. Hours had passed, he was not sure how many, but he was sure ta very long time had passed. He finally collapsed from exhaustion and lay on the forest ground for hours.

It was almost sunset by the time he finally awoke. Without giving a single thought he rushed around until he found a mountainous region and thought a cave around there would make for an excellent hiding place for anybody. He searched and came across the man he saw take his friend away.

"I'll find you Natsu, Ice Make: Cannon!"
