Chapter 9

"I thought we could go to the diner down the block for breakfast if that's ok with you?" Brittany asked Santana when they exited their apartment building. Brittany had been holding Santana's hand since she grabbed it when they left Santana's apartment and it appeared she didn't plan on letting go of it anytime soon.

Santana was still trying to wrap her mind around the thought that Brittany knew she had been watching her through the hole in the bathroom wall. Santana knew she needed to play it cool and not act nervous because that would make her look guilty. Besides there was always the possibility Brittany didn't know about the hole at all and Santana was being paranoid. However, the wink in the bathroom and then the wink at door were just too much of a coincidence.

"Yeah, we can go to the diner for breakfast. I've never eaten there before but saw it when I was out for a run the other day. It looks like a nice place." Santana tried to keep her voice at a normal tone so Brittany wouldn't notice she was freaking out inside her mind right now.

"The food is fantastic. Once you eat there I can guarantee it will become one of your favorite places to eat." Brittany started walking towards the diner not letting go of Santana's hand.

When they got to the diner the sign inside said to 'Seat Yourself'. The diner was about half full so they had several choices of where to sit. Santana really wanted to sit at a table because it seemed less intimate than sitting at a booth however Brittany dragged her over to a booth in the corner where there would be no one else sitting near them.

"I hope this ok." Brittany sat down on one side of the booth.

"It's fine." Santana said as she slid into the other side.

The waitress brought menus and the coffee pot to their booth. She poured coffee for both of them while Santana busied herself looking at the menu. Brittany didn't even pick her menu up to look at it.

"I already know what I want. I want a stack of three pancakes with three strips of bacon, along with a small glass of orange juice."

The waitress looked at Santana, "Um…I'll have the same thing."

"You won't regret it the pancakes here are the fluffiest I have ever had and the OJ is hand squeezed."

Santana just smiled and nodded at Brittany. She was trying not to act any different around Brittany but she couldn't help herself. Santana's hand that was laying the table tensed up when Brittany took a hold of it and squeezed it.

"Hey are you ok? You seem a bit distracted this morning."

"I'm fine just still not quite fully awake yet." Santana lied because she was definitely fully awake after the events of the morning, especially watching Brittany take a bath.

Brittany stood up just enough so she could lean over the table and kiss Santana quickly on the lips. "There are you feeling more awake now?"

Santana felt the kiss through her entire body even though it was so quick she barely felt Brittany's lips touching hers. "Maybe a little more awake but not much more." Santana teased.

Brittany smiled and kissed Santana again only this time the kiss was a bit longer. "How about now feeling more awake?"

Santana yawned, "Not really, you're going to have to do much better than that."

Brittany kissed Santana again and this time kissed Santana's bottom lip and sucked on it for a few seconds before diving in for the kill. Brittany started kissing Santana with her mouth open and Santana immediately responded letting Brittany's tongue in her mouth. They were both lost in their own little world neither wanting to be the first to come up for air.

"Excuse me. I said excuse me!"

Santana and Brittany finally pulled apart when they heard their waitress raise her voice. She placed their plates on the table and topped off their coffee mugs. Before she walked away she leaned down close to both them and whispered, "I don't mind watching two beautiful, sexy women go at one another, however, we got some people here in the diner who might appreciate it as much as me. Try to keep the PDA PG if you know what I mean. The waitress winked at both of them before walking away."

Santana looked around the diner and there were a few tables of people looking at them but when they saw here looking they all just smiled at her. She then turned her attention to Brittany who was busy eating her pancakes. "You shouldn't care what other people think so much." Brittany said after chewing the pancake she had in her mouth.

Santana didn't answer she put maple syrup on her pancakes and took a couple of bites. "The pancakes are amazing but I think mine are even better."

Brittany raised an eyebrow at Santana, "Oh really and when will I get to taste this pancakes of yours so I can decide if they are better?"

Santana shrugged her shoulders, "I have no idea when, it all depends if you play your cards right." Santana feeling bold winked at Brittany. She was feeling more confident and enjoying bantering back and forth with Brittany. Right now Santana felt like she had the upper hand.

"Top or bottom?" Brittany asked while continuing to eat and not looking at Santana.

Santana almost choked on her pancakes, "What?"

"Do you prefer the top or bottom when having sex?"

"The top of course I like being in control unless…" Santana stopped talking and put another bite of pancakes in mouth. Brittany watched as Santana chewed the pancakes and then took a drink of her orange juice. Before putting another fork full of pancakes in her mouth Santana looked Brittany who sat there staring at her. "What? Do I have something on my face?"

"No, I'm waiting for you to finish what you were about to say."

Santana looked confused for a minute, "Oh, you mean when I said the top of course I like being charge unless…" Brittany just nodded her head yes. Santana took a drink of coffee, "That's just another thing you may find out about if you play your cards right."

Brittany was getting frustrated with Santana because she was the one who was supposed to be in charge of this little game. She was the one who Santana had been watching through the hole in the bathroom. Brittany had known about the hole since the day Lord Tubbington growled when he discovered it. After that Brittany purposely put the song 'I Touch Myself' on her IPod just in case Santana was watching her take a bath one day. She knew that Santana wouldn't be able to resist touching herself once she heard the song while watching her in the tub. Santana wasn't as quiet as she thought because when her orgasm hit while masturbating she called out Brittany's name just a little too loud so Brittany knew Santana had definitely been watching her.

"Shower or bath? I like showers but I love loonngg baths." Brittany said dragging out the word long with a smirk on her face.

Santana's felt her face get warm and she knew she was blushing. Santana started to panic because there was no doubt in her mind now that Brittany knew about the hole. However, Brittany didn't seem to be upset or freaking out about it because Santana was sure if Brittany was upset she would've called the police or at least confronted Santana about it.

"Um…shower usually. I only take a bath if I'm really stressed and need to relax. I prefer not taking a bath alone." Santana's answer was honest and her voice was quiet and not cocky like when answered Brittany's other questions.

Brittany noticed how Santana's tone of voice had changed and how she kept staring at her plate and not looking at her. Brittany was having fun teasing Santana when Santana was teasing her back but now something in the mood had changed. She knew that Santana must have figured out by now that she knew about the hole in the wall. Brittany knew if it had been anyone else but Santana peeping at her through the hole she would have been creeped out and called the police. There was something about Santana that made Brittany feel emotions she had never felt before in her life. One thing she knew for sure was that Santana wasn't some woman with a peeping tom fetish. Brittany got the feeling that if there was any other woman living in her apartment Santana might have looked through the hole once out of curiosity been then would've gotten the hole fixed the next day.

"Brittany, I've got something to tell…" "Santana, I've got something to tell.." Both woman spoke the same words to one another and then stopped when they realized they were talking over each other. They sat there looking into each other's eyes waiting to see if the other one was going to continue or not. The decision was made for them when Brittany's cell phone started ringing.

Brittany looked at her phone to see who was calling at this most inopportune time. She scowled when she saw whose name was on the screen. "I'm sorry San I've got to take this." Brittany got up from the table and walked outside to take the call.

Santana could tell by the look on Brittany's face whoever was on the phone wasn't someone she had expected to hear from. Brittany being away from the table gave Santana time to think about how she almost told Brittany about the hole in the wall. She couldn't believe the words just sort of starting coming out of her mouth without her even thinking about what she was saying. Santana's mother would tell this happens when her guilty conscious was getting the best of her. It also gave her time to process that Brittany had wanted to tell her something too. Was Brittany going to tell her she knew about the hole or was it something else?

When Brittany didn't return to the booth after several minutes Santana started to get worried. From where she was sitting Santana couldn't look out the front windows of the diner to see if Brittany was still outside talking on the phone. She didn't know what she should do. Maybe she should pay the bill and go find Brittany. Santana was deep in thought when Brittany finally returned to the booth.

Brittany sat down without saying a word and she kept her head down staring at her phone not looking at Santana. The playful mood of earlier was clearly gone now. "Hey are you ok?" Santana's voice was quiet and full of concern. Brittany didn't answer right away and she didn't look at Santana so Santana decided it was probably best if they got left the diner. "I'm going to find our waitress and the bill so we can leave ok?" Brittany responded this time with a nod of her head.

Santana paid the bill and when she went back to the booth to put a tip down for waitress she had expected to find Brittany still sitting at the table but she was gone. Santana quickly put the tip on the table and hurried out of the diner. To her relief Brittany was standing outside waiting for her. "Britt, you don't have to tell me who called you and what is going on but I'm here for you if want to talk."

Brittany looked at Santana for the first time since she took the phone call and it was clear Brittany had been crying because her eyes were red and puffy. "Can we just go see Lord Tubbington now?"

"Yeah of course we can go see him." Santana hoped seeing Lord Tubbington would make Brittany feel better. They started walking towards their apartment building neither one saying a word. Santana wasn't sure what to say or do and was feeling a bit uncomfortable. When their hands brushed against one each other Brittany didn't move her hand away, she took a hold of Santana's hand and laced their finger together. Santana realized it was Brittany's way of reaching out without words so she squeezed Brittany's hand to let her know she understood.

The car ride to the veterinary hospital was just as quiet as the walk back to their apartment building. Brittany reached over and put her hand on Santana's knee while she was driving. It was like Brittany didn't want the physical contact between them to break.

The veterinarian told them that Lord Tubbington was doing better although he wasn't eating like he should which had a him a bit worried so the cat would need to stay another day. The veterinary assistant took Brittany and Santana to an area where there was a blanket lying on the floor and told them to wait there while she went to get Lord Tubbington. The veterinarian wanted Lord Tubbington to spend more time out of his cage moving around.

Brittany immediately sat down on blanket with her legs criss crossed while Santana stood beside her. Without saying a word Brittany reached up and grabbed Santana's hand pulling her down to sit on the blanket too.

When the veterinary assistant sat Lord Tubbington on the blanket Brittany smiled and her eyes sparkled again which made Santana smile as well. "Lord Tubbington, how are you doing my little guy?" Santana almost burst out laughing when Brittany called him her little guy because there was nothing little about him but Santana didn't want to upset Brittany so she held the laughter in. "Look who came to see you. It's our new friend Santana." Brittany looked at Santana and smiled which melted Santana's heart.

Santana reached over and gently stroked Lord Tubbington's back which cause him to purr. "You are looking better today LT." Santana was kind of embarrassed to be talking to a cat although when she had visited him the day before she had no trouble talking to him. It was just something that ok to do when she was by herself but now Brittany was there.

Santana continued to rub his back and his purred. "You must give awesome back massages because he doesn't purr for just anyone. I can't wait to get my back massage." Brittany once again smiled at Santana.

Brittany talked and to Lord Tubbington for the next twenty minutes about how he was going to have to start eating so he could come home and that she hoped he learned his lesson about not eating her thong. Brittany then sat there stroking Lord Tubbingtons' fur for a few minutes without saying anything. She then took her cell phone out of her bag and held it in front of the cat's face. "I want to you to see the newest member of our family. His name is Wyatt and he was born yesterday. His mommy is my sister Stephanie. I've talked to you a lot about her. I was sad last night because I didn't think I'd ever get to see little Wyatt but today I got a huge surprise. Stephanie called me and said she wants me to meet Wyatt." Brittany stopped talking and started sniffling.

Santana had been listening to Brittany and when she said Stephanie had called her Santana knew why Brittany's mood had changed at the diner after getting the phone call.

"So I have to leave now because I'm going to go see Wyatt. I am excited to see him and I hope that maybe this means Stephanie has changed her mind about wanting me in her life. I'll take pictures and share them with you tomorrow. I love you Lord Tubbington." Brittany kissed him on the head before the veterinary assistant took him back to his cage.

Santana got up from the floor and held out her hand to help Brittany up. They walked to Santana's car in the parking lot in the familiar silence between them. Santana started the car and looked over at Brittany, "So we're going to Lima. I had better call my mother or she will skin me alive if she finds out I'm in town and I didn't let her know."

Brittany smiled at Santana and took a hold of her hand, "I was hoping you'd go with me but if you rather not get involved in my family drama I'll understand. I can drive myself."

"Oh, please it's going to take more than a little family drama to scare me away. Besides all families have some sort of drama. Now that I think about it I'm the cause of a lot of my family dramas." Santana smiled at Brittany and brought her hand to her lips and kissed it. "Seriously Britt, I want to be there for you no matter what happens when you see your sister."

Brittany leaned across the center console of the car and kissed Santana. "Thank you."

The hour long trip to Lima was spent in more silence between Santana and Brittany but it wasn't an uncomfortable silence. When they saw a sign that showed Lima was 5 miles away Brittany began to get extremely nervous. Santana could sense this so she took her right hand off from the steering wheel, reached over, and took Brittany's hand. Santana's touch seemed to calm Brittany down as much as could be expected considering she was about to see and talk to her sister for first time in two years. When they got to the hospital Brittany sent Stephanie a text and Brittany was relieved when Stephanie replied immediately telling her she was in Room 202 on the maternity floor. Brittany had worried during the trip that they would get there and Stephanie would've changed her mind about seeing her.

Santana and Brittany took the elevator to the second floor and when they got off the first thing they saw was sign stating only family members were allowed in the patients rooms and you had to report to the nurses' station to check in. "I'll be right here in the waiting room if you need me." Santana hugged Brittany and kissed her on the cheek. When Santana tried to pull away Brittany wouldn't let her go she held onto to her tightly.

"I want you to go with me." Brittany said in a shaky voice.

"Britt, I can't and besides you and your sister need privacy. I'll be right here waiting for you I promise." Santana once again kissed Brittany on the cheek.

Brittany reluctantly left Santana's arms and walked to the nurse's station to let them know she was there to visit her sister. Brittany tried to walk as slowly as possible to her sister's room but it was just her luck the room was right next to the nurses' station. She stood outside the door for a few minutes to gather enough emotional strength to knock on the door. Finally she lifted her hand to knock on the door and walk in.

The room walls of the room were painted yellow which made the room brighter. Brittany walked in the room and walked towards the bed keeping her eyes down cast. She could feel the presence of Stephanie in the room and she knew she was awake.

After a few moments of silence Stephanie spoke, "Brittany, please look at me." To Brittany her voice sounded almost like it did when she was little girl.

Brittany slowly looked up and found herself looking into the eyes of her sister for the first time in two years. What Brittany saw in those eyes wasn't the anger she saw last time she looked into them but a look of sadness.

"I wasn't sure you'd come see me. Actually, I wouldn't blame you if you didn't." Stephanie's voice cracked as she spoke. Brittany had no idea what to say so she waited to see if Stephanie would continue talking. "Brittany, I'm so so very sorry for the way I've treated the past couple of years. I shouldn't ever have shut you out of my life over something that really didn't mean anything. What happened between you and David was when you were in high school long before he even noticed me. I remember when he used to come over to the house to visit you he always called me squirt and rugrat. To him I was your annoying little sister. Back then none of us had any idea he and I would fall in love and get married someday. I acted like you slept with David when he and were together and that wasn't the case at all."

Brittany was ready to talk this time when Stephanie paused. "I have one question for you. Why? Why were you able to forgive him for not telling you about him and me sleeping together but you weren't able to forgive me?"

"Because you're my big sister and you always protected me. You were the one I could always count on and for the first time in my life I felt like you let me down. When I had Wyatt yesterday it was just David and me here. Mom and Dad are in Bolivia and David's parents passed away and since he was an only child he doesn't have much family. I wished you were here and it wasn't the first time I wished that since I stopped talking to you. Every holiday and birthday I've missed you. I just have always been too damn stubborn for my own good to admit when I'm wrong and I was wrong to shut you out and not forgive you for telling me about you and David. Can you ever forgive me Britt?"

Brittany had tears running down her face. She had missed her sister so much and she wanted her back into her life but Stephanie had really hurt her by shutting her out. Should she forgive her that easily?

Brittany finally sat down in the chair by Stephanie's bed. "Steph, you hurt me a lot. I basically had no family since Mom and Dad are always away doing missionary work. I forgive you and I just need time, time to make sure you aren't going to change your mind a month from now and shut me out of your life again."

"I understand and I don't blame you. I'll need to earn your trust back and I'll do whatever it takes."

Brittany stood up and leaned over the bed to give Stephanie a hug. It seemed so good to hug her sister. She had truly missed their relationship. Brittany broke the hug when she heard the hospital room door open. She turned to see a nurse carrying Wyatt. "It's time for Wyatt to nurse. I'm afraid that you are going to have to leave. We don't usually allow visitors when a mother is nursing unless it's the father or grandparents."

"Oh, ok I have a friend in the waiting room I'll just go wait with her. Can I hold him before I go?" Brittany asked while looking at the beautiful little baby boy in the nurse's arms. He had very little hair but what was there was blond and he had blue eyes. Not the Pierce blue eyes but more of a bluish gray.

The nurse smiled and nodded her head before carefully handing Wyatt to Brittany was sitting in the chair again. She hadn't ever really held a newborn but instinct took over and she cradled him in her arms like she did it every day.

Brittany looked down into Wyatt's eyes and he scowled looking at her. "Hi Wyatt, welcome to the world. I'm your Aunt Brittany. You and I are going to have some special times together." Brittany kissed his forehead gently. The nurse took Wyatt from Brittany and gave him to Stephanie. Seeing Stephanie holding Wyatt brought more tears to Brittany's eyes. Her baby sister was a mother and the way Stephanie looked at Wyatt was like she was falling in love. "I'm going to go wait with my friend. I'll be back in a little while." Before leaving Brittany kissed Wyatt on top of his head and then kissed Stephanie on the cheek.

Brittany walked down the hallway to the waiting room with a huge smile on her face. It felt like a huge weight had been lifted off from her shoulders. Santana didn't even notice it when Brittany walked into the waiting room and sat down beside her because she was engrossed in playing a game on her phone.

Brittany finally leaned over and whispered in Santana's ear so the other people in the waiting room couldn't hear her. "What birds steal soap from the bathtub? Robber ducks." Santana jumped a bit hearing Brittany's voice so close to ear but at the same she was paralyzed like she always feels when Brittany gets close to her. Brittany giggled, "Didn't you like my joke?"

Santana turned to her left and was met with Brittany's face still close to her. "Yeah, it was cute. Do you have robber ducks in your bathroom?"

"I haven't seen any, have you?" Brittany asked calmly looking in Santana's eyes before winking at her.

Santana swallowed hard and finally remembered where they were and why they were there. "How did it go with your sister?"

Brittany got a serious look on her face, "It went really well, a lot better than I ever imagined it would." Brittany went on to tell Santana about her conversation with Stephanie about holding Wyatt.

Santana could see that Brittany was happy with what happened so she was going to be happy for her but if Stephanie ever hurt Brittany again she would have to deal with Snix. "I'm so happy that things seem to be working out with you and Stephanie. I bet Wyatt is even cuter in person than he was in the picture you showed me."

Brittany stood up and grabbed Santana's hand pulling her up too. "Come on you're going to meet my sister and nephew."

Santana pulled back to make Brittany stop walking once they were in the hallway. "Britt, I can't I'm not family."

"Oh don't give me that San. Your father is a doctor here I'm sure they'll allow you to break the rules."

Santana wasn't new to breaking rules but she didn't want to make a scene in the hospital and have it back to her father. "No Britt, I'll just wait and meet them sometime when they are out of the hospital."

Brittany didn't even pay attention to Santana's answer and pulled her reluctantly down the hall. "Where are you two young ladies going?" A nurse asked when they walked past the nurse's station. "I know you said you are Stephanie Hamilton's sister but who are you?" The nurse looked right at Santana.

"She's family too. This is my wife Santana." Brittany said with a smile on her face before pulling Santana down the hallway to Stephanie's room.

Santana hadn't had time to react to what Brittany told the nurse before they were in front of Stephanie's room. "What the hell Britt. Why did you tell that nurse I'm your wife?" Santana whispered to Brittany so no one passing by in the hallway could hear them.

Brittany shrugged her shoulders, "I want you to meet Stephanie and Wyatt. Besides there are so many visitors coming through here that nurse will never even remember us."

Before Santana could respond Brittany had opened the hospital room door and dragged her inside. When they got in the room there was a young woman in bed holding a baby and a man sitting in scrubs sitting on the edge of the bed.

The man looked up when the two entered the room. He smiled at Brittany and then got up to give her a hug while whispering in her ear, "I'm so glad you're here."

"Stephanie and Daivd, this is my friend Santana. Santana this is my sister Stephanie and her husband David." Brittany did the introductions with a smile on her face as she looked at everyone.

"It's nice to meet both of you." Santana told them.

"It's nice to meet you too." Stephanie said as she noticed the way Brittany looked at Santana. There was definitely more than friendship going on between them.

"David, Santana's father is a doctor here at the hospital." Brittany announced.

David scowled for a minutes, "You're father is Dr. Carlos Lopez, the Head of Cardiology?"

"That would be him." Santana said as she rolled her eyes.

"He is such a fantastic doctor and teacher. Everyone here at the hospital has so much respect for him." David said with a little nervousness in his voice.

"He is an amazing man." Santana meant what she said because she truly felt her father was amazing.

"San, I want you to meet the newest member of our family." Brittany carefully took Wyatt from Stephanie's arms and held him so Santana could see him.

"He is adorable. Look at those little fingers." Santana hadn't been this close to a new born in quite awhile and couldn't help but feel a bit emotional.

"Brittany, we get to go home tomorrow morning from the hospital. I was wondering if maybe you'd like to come over to the house in the afternoon for a visit." Stephanie asked hoping she wasn't expecting too much from Brittany since they had just reconciled.

"Um…I would love to but I have to pick up Lord Tubbington from the veterinary hospital in the morning. He ate a pair of my thongs and got a blockage so he had to have surgery."

Stephanie and David couldn't help but laugh. "He ate a pair of your thongs! That cat sure has some appetite no wonder he is so big." Stephanie said through laughing.

Brittany pouted, "Why does everyone have to pick on LT? Santana has bonded with him and he loves her. Anyway, maybe I can drive up on Sunday to visit you?"

"That would be great. We'll talk about it later." Stephanie yawned.

"You need your rest and Santana and I need to get back to Columbus. I'm so happy you called me." Brittany kissed Wyatt's forehead before placing him in Stephanie's arms and giving her a hug and kiss. Brittany hugged David before her and Santana left.

"Britt, my dad is in surgery all afternoon so I can't see him and if I don't stop by the house to see my mother she will never let me forget it. I promise we won't stay long." Santana said as she started the car to leave the hospital parking lot.

Brittany squealed, "I can't wait to meet your mother."

Santana rolled her eyes, "My mother can be a piece of work."

"Like mother like daughter." Brittany smiled and winked at Santana.

"Well here we are at the Dr. and Mrs. Carlos Lopez residence." Santana announced.

Santana and Brittany walked to the front door of the house which was locked so Santana rang the door bell. A few moments later Maribel opened the door. Santana stood there with a smile on her face but it quickly went away when she saw the stern look on her mother's face.

"It's nice to see you too Mami."

"Don't you Mami me." Maribel stood there not letting Santana and Brittany in the house. She was clearly upset about something.

Santana decided it was best to start talking in Spanish so Brittany didn't know what was being said. Santana hated doing it because she thought it was rude but this time would be an exception.

*Reader Note – Sentences in italics are being spoken in Spanish.

"Mami, what is wrong? Can we please come in?"

Maribel walked away from the door so Santana and Brittany could come in the house. Santana shut the door behind her waiting for her mother to tell her what was going on.

"How could you Santana? You have been on your own for only five days and you got married and didn't have the decency to tell your family."

Santana stood there dumbfounded. "Married? What makes you think I'm married?

"I got a call from one of the nurses on the maternity floor telling me you were there with your wife visiting your wife's sister who just had a baby. I was so embarrassed but luckily I saved face by playing along. I'm assuming this woman is your wife." Maribel pointed at Brittany.

Santana couldn't believe news traveled that fast from the hospital to her mother. "Mami,…" Was the only word she got out before Brittany started speaking in Spanish.

"Mrs. Lopez this is all my fault. I wanted Santana to meet my sister and new nephew. Only family is allowed to visit so I told the nurse Santana was my wife. I'm so sorry for the embarrassment this has caused you. I wasn't thinking at the time I told the lie. I just was so excited to see my nephew and my sister. I apologize and I will go wait in the car while you and Santana spend some time together."

Santana scowled at Brittany and started speaking in English again. "You speak Spanish?"

"When I was a kid my parents spent eight years in Bolivia as missionaries so I picked up the language. Stephanie speaks Spanish too. I'm sorry I shouldn't have lied about you being my wife. Like I said I'll go wait in the car. You spend as much time with your mother as you want." Brittany started to open the door to leave.

"Please don't go. I'm Maribel, Santana's mother." Maribel reached out her hand to shake Brittany's hand.

"I'm Brittany. I'm Santana's neighbor." Brittany shook her hand.

"You are the one who had my daughter over for dinner. I hope she has returned the favor." Maribel glared at her daughter.

"No, I haven't yet but I will." Santana whined.

"Brittany, don't worry about telling the nurse Santana was your wife. I'll call and straightened it all out. Luckily the nurse who called me isn't a gossip so it won't spread through the hospital. Can you girls stay for a cup of coffee?" Maribel asked.

"Mami, we really should get back to Columbus."

"Santana's right Mrs. Lopez but hopefully the next time you come to visit Santana you will stop by my apartment to visit too."

"I definitely will stop by to say hello. Maybe Santana will fix lunch for both of us." Maribel smiled at Santana didn't react at all.

"Ok, bye Mami. I'll call you soon."

"Bye Mrs. Lopez, it was nice to meet you." Brittany gave Maribel a hug which surprised her.

As Santana was walking to her car Maribel called out her daughter's name so Santana walked back to her. "She's a keeper sweetie. I can just tell and she speaks Spanish. But you might want to put some concealer on that love bite."

Santana grabbed her neck. She had forgotten to cover the hickey Brittany had given her that was still very visible. Santana suddenly was horrified thinking how everyone she had talked to today would've seen the huge hickey.

Santana walked to her car where Brittany was waiting for her. When they left the Lopez home the drive was filled with silence for several minutes until it was broken by Brittany.

"I'm really sorry my lie got back to your mother. She was really upset at first. I'm sorry San."

"It's ok. Everything turned out ok."

Brittany wasn't convinced Santana was ok because the tone of her voice was void of emotion. "Are you sure we're ok?"

Santana reached and took Brittany's hand and squeezed it. "We're ok. Tell me what it was like living in Bolivia."

The rest of the trip home was spent on Brittany telling Santana what her life was like in Bolivia. When they finally got to their apartments they both were tired because it had a long day. Since Brittany's door was first Santana stopped there with her.

"I'm glad you got to see your sister and nephew. LT will be home tomorrow so that will be good. Things are looking up." Santana said as she stood there nervously looking at Brittany.

"You have no idea how much I've missed my sister. Thank you for spending the day with me and being there for me." Brittany leaned forward and kissed Santana gently on the lips. "Good night San."

"Good night Britt." Santana said before walking to her apartment door.

"By the way San, I won't be taking a bath tonight but I probably will before I go to pick up Lord Tubbington in morning." Brittany said giving Santana a wink before walking into her apartment.

Santana stood there feeling her body get warm after hearing Brittany's words. Was Brittany giving her permission to watch her take a bath?
