Author's Note: You know I don't have an outline for this story. I write based on the scenarios I want to see happen. So depending on what's happened or happening, who I see Anna with changes between Yoh and Hao all the time. Frankly I have no idea who she will end up with. But obviously I want to write where the story makes sense on why she would choose one over the other. Or is she even the one who chooses, hmmm…..Anyway sorry for grammar/spelling mistakes.

He felt dizzy. His mouth, dry. He couldn't even force his eyes to open right then.

Thirsty.

"Water, please." His voice cracked, barely audible. "Hello?" He could hear a phone ringing to his left. it may have rang for awhile now. With all the strength he could muster, he reached his arm over and fumble around a bit to find the phone and slowly brought it over to his ear.

"Hello?"

"Brother! You're finally awake! This is my time third time trying to call you." The sound of the voice triggered the last memory he had before he waking up. Yoh slowly opened his eyes, he immediately noticed the ceiling didn't look familiar. He whole body felt so miserably sore that he couldn't even managed to move his neck around to look at the whole room.

"What did you do to me?" He asked weakly. "Where am I, and why am I so sore?"

"Oh yeah, that... Well remember the request I had when we last spoke?" His said in a casual tone.

"I remembered I didn't get a chance to respond." He said immediately.

"Sorry, I just really needed to make sure you're not around to sway Anna's decision. You had that whole Summer to get her to fall in love with you while I wasn't there."

Of course, Anna's the reason.

"And honestly, I'm at a disadvantage since I'm only asking for one month."

"Wow, you're unbelievable." Yoh couldn't help but chuckle at the absurdity. "Are you trying to justify drugging and kidnapping your own brother?

"I'd like to think of it more like sending you on vacation." Hao kept his casual tone as if he was having a perfectly normal conversation.

"What?"

"There should be a pill with a glass of water beside the bed that will get rid of the soreness. It was just the side effect of the drug. You should be fine." Yoh didn't respond. He was still trying to wrap his head around the whole situation.

Has Hao gone crazy? Has his love for Anna reached obsessive level? If so, is Anna safe with him? This is crazy.

"Once you're able to get up and go outside," Hao continued talking over the phone. "you'll realize you're actually at a beautiful secluded tropical island. I've been working on this project for almost a year now. This is aimed for guests who wants to stay privately on the beach. The hut is fully stock with food and supplies you'll need the the whole month."

"Wait a minute, secluded?" You was finally able to catch up with everything Hao said.

"Yes you're the only one on the island."

"What the hell, Hao? Come take me back. This is not…" His heart was racing and he cursed his body for being too weak to move at that moment. He heard the sound of a knock on the door over the phone.

"Hao, Kino wants to talk to us." The voice was faint but there was no mistaking it was Anna.

"Ok, be right there!" Hao called back. "Yoh, I have to go. Enjoy your vacation! Oh and I'm disabling your phone line for now so you can't contact anyone." Hao whispered into the phone and suddenly Yoh could here nothing but silence.

Dammit Hao...

Hao entered Kino's home room quietly and walked over to stand next to Anna. The blonde gave him barely a tiny glance of acknowledgment.

"Hao, good you're finally here." Kino gave him a slight nod. "Where's Yoh?

Anna's chest tighten at just hearing his name. "He's g..."

"Gone on a trip." Hao finished her sentence. Anna turned around and gave him a confused look but Hao kept his gaze on Kino who also looked confused.

Does he know something?

"A trip? He never mentioned anything about that to me." Hao glanced over at Anna. He could only imagine what must be going through her mind. "That is completely unacceptable. When is he coming back?"

"He didn't say..." Hao's voice trailed off. He wanted to make sure he tells them as little as possible to not raise suspicions. He also didn't want to give Anna a timeline as a reason to stall and wait for Yoh.

"He's in serious trouble when he gets back. However it's fine, for now." Kino huffed in anger. "Tonight just you two showing up in our place would be enough." She picked up an envelope from her table and handed over to Hao.

"Show up for what?" He asked as he grabbed the envelope from her hand.

"We were invited to Oyamada Mansumi's 50th birthday and they are having a huge banquet in his honor tonight."

"Shorty's father?" Anna asked without realizing she just called Manta by the nickname's given him since they first met.

"Yes, Shorty's father." She looked amused. "Your grandfather hasn't been feeling well and I'm passed the age where I care to make small idle chats with people." She looked from Hao to Anna. "From now on, you two will be the ones who will go out and represent the Asakura house in all future events and functions."

Anna let out a small sigh but kept her eyes on the floor. Kino might have missed it but Hao glanced her way to find her expression changed from confusion to annoyance.

"It would be our pleasure." He gave Kino a smile.

"Good, we've already prepared a present for him." She pointed to a box siting on white chair right across from her. It was medium sized and elegantly wrapped with silver wrapping paper and an elaborate bow on top. "It is a formal event so you will need to be in appropriate attire. Sorry for such a short notice."

"It's fine, I'll just wear one of my black dress." Anna said with an unenthusiastic tone.

"Nonsense, it's our debut an as engaged couple. We have to make it memorable." The smiled at her while she glared back at him.

"I don't think that's necessary." She responded.

"Actually, Hao has a point. You two are going out to represent the Asakura. It would be good to make a good impression."

Of course she agrees with him. Anna thought but held her tongue.

"Well then, please excuse us so we can get ready for the event." Hao grabbed hold of Anna's hand and pulled her out the door before she could object.

"Where are we going?" She asked as they continued walking hand in hand.

"I have something to give you." He looked happy as he realized Anna hasn't pulled her hand away.

The blonde looked at the hand holding her's. She found it strange that even thought it belonged to someone who looked almost identical to another person, the feeling that she got from it was completely different. Yoh's grip was warm and gentle but Hao's was hot and firm.

Hao stopped in front of a door. Anna looked up to realize it was her own room.

"You go ahead and take a bath. I'll have your dress laid out for you." Anna opened her mouth to protest out of habit but quickly caught herself.

"Fine." She simply responded. Hao looked at her curiously. "What?"

"You're being very agreeable today.

She let out a sigh of annoyance. "I told you I've already agreed to marry you. There's no point in arguing."

"Then you're not going to argue if I do this?" He stepped closer as the blonde backed up against the wall instinctively but looked straight into his eyes. There was a strange gentle softness to them that she's never seen in him before. His right hand softly brushed her left cheek. Anna's cheek started to heat up as she continued to stare into his eyes.

Strange.

"What about this?" His eyes never wavered from her's as his thumb glide gently over her bottom lip, causing her lips to parted just slight. His finally lowered his eyes to her lips as he moved closer. Anna could feel her heart racing a bit. She realized this was definitely a different feeling when she wasn't consciously fighting him back.

"And this?" His lips brushed hers as he spoke before pressing them softly against her's. He backed away slowly much to her surprise. "Did you feel anything?" He asked, searching her eyes.

Her eyes averted his. "I didn't hate." She said honestly. Hao chuckled at her words.

"I'm going to make it so that your mind is filled with nothing but me." He said before walking off to his room.

I really hope you do. I don't know how long I can stand being touched by you while thinking of someone else.

Anna looked after him and touched her lips. She had to admit, she did feel a little something just then.
