AN: Sorry it's been awhile and that this chapter is short. I've been working on my other story. That and I haven't had time to sit down and watch all of the Jurassic Park movies. That and I only really have one scene in my head so far for what's going to happen on the island and I will definitely say not everything that starts out well does not end well.

This chapter is dedicated to Guin Parris, Musical cake, MissLexi54, XxMusicChickxX, and TheTudorRoseQueen.

I hope you guys like the chapter.

Happy reading.

Chapter Nine: What Starts Out Well

"What do we need to find?" I asked Killian as soon as we came ashore.

"The map to the Lost Island is somewhere on this island. We have to find it." Killian replied.

"Oh a map to an island on an island that's clever." Will commented sarcastically.

"How do you even know it's here?" Henry asked, "They could have taken it with them."

"He does have a point, Killian, as much as I really hate to say it." I agreed with Henry.

"They don't have it. You're dad has an electronic copy; there's two of them actually. He had one on his phone and Emma had one on the camera she let him borrow so they had a back-up, and then they have a blown up photo copy from the camera."

"And you never got a copy, why?" Henry asked.

"Ben and Riley are kinda picky about who gets who have the maps, but I do have a map of this island. Beni gave it to me while Henry and I were preparing the lifeboat."

"That was helpful." I commented.

"Yeah, but we've got a problem." Killian replied.

"Killian, we are stuck on this island with no way to get off, so there are no problems from here on out, only solutions." I retorted. There was no way in hell I was going to waste my time with problems. If this island was really what it was then we were already in hell, we shouldn't worry ourselves with other problems than surviving.

"Okay." Killian agreed, "The map is in this building here." He said pointing to one end of the island. "We need power to get in, which is in this building here." He pointed to another building on the opposite side of the island. And we need to get to both without being killed."

"We'll go in pairs." I instructed, "I'll go with Will, Killian you go with Henry. Killian, you've seen the map to the Lost Island, am I correct?"

Killian nodded.

"Great, you and Henry go after the map, Will and I will go after the power, but first things first, what's this building here?" I said pointing to the building closest to us.

"Visitors center." Killian answered.

"We go there first, examine and stock up on things we may need, and then we head out. Keep sleeping to a minimum, if there are truly dinosaurs here, you sleep, you're dinner. Make sure to keep food on you as well, but not open food, you do that and you might as well say to the carnivores, 'take me I'm yours'." I went through the basics of some of the things I learned from Jurassic Park, "And for god's sake be aware of your surroundings. You don't pay attention, you're dead, eaten actually. Understand?"

They all nodded.

"Good, now let's go find that visitors center, shall we?" I smiling lightly, grabbing the map. The guys reluctantly agreed and we made our way to the visitors center.

Henry's POV

Why is it that place that had to be planned for the most couldn't have been planned at all? We were on an island that was supposed to be completely fictional. We were headed to places that were supposed to be completely fictional. And the only word we had was Killian's, who Elizabeth found in a prison and will not tell us his full story.

Luckily for us, the only things we ran into were herbivores. Yes, the dinosaurs were real as much as I didn't want to believe it. Not only were they real, there were many times we had to scatter so they wouldn't step on us. For once I felt bad for the Howes and their fate, well Mrs. Howe's fate. It was definitely one, I would rather not share.

From what I knew from the movies, everything always started out well. Since we're dealing with something that supposed to be fiction, might as well stem everything I'm seeing to the movies. And from what I knew with those types of movies, everything that starts out well doesn't end up well. I hoped for all of our sakes that didn't apply here.
