Chapter 9: The British are Coming

Previously…

"Hello?"

"Misaki, You need to come to the office right now. This is really urgent! Another photo has been sent," Satsuki said over the phone. Misaki dropped the phone at the last comment and rushed out of the room, leaving behind a bunch of blank faces.

Soon Misaki was inside her managers office, pacing back and forth, not sure what to do.

"So you don't know who sent them. Like there was no note and it wasn't the press?" Misaki asked, on the verge of tears.

"No. There are no clues. Whoever sent these are trying to scare you, but I'm not really sure why," Satsuki replied, not sure how to handle the situation.

"Well, I think I'm going to lay low for a while, so say no to touring with Miyabigaoka for now. When I decide to come back, I'll have some new songs, I promise," Misaki said as she was leaving. Satsuki just nodded her head in agreement. She so hoped that laying low would work for now.

The band members and Misaki's friends just stared at the door and Misaki's phone on the floor. After a few minutes, Takumi picked up the cellphone and looked at the last call. It was from a woman named Satsuki, who he knew to be Misaki's manager.

"I'll return this to her," Takumi said as he left the room, leaving behind everyone else, who was not sure what to do.

"I'll take you girls home," Kuuga said, now facing Sakura and Shizuko, who were not quite sure what just happened in the last few minutes.

"O…Ok," Sakura said. Kuuga led her and Shizuko out, then Tora and Kanou followed, not wanting to be left behind in this awkward situation.

Takumi was now standing outside Misaki's house. He saw her walking up the street so he moved towards her.

"I brought your phone," He said handing the device to her. He could see she had been crying, which caused his heart to ache. When Misaki took the phone, he grabbed her hand and brought her in for a hug, catching her off guard.

"Aren't you going to ask what happened," Misaki said, settling into the warm embrace.

"Well, I would, but I would rather you want to tell me of your own free will without my charm forcing it out of you," He responded. Misaki reacted with a small chuckle, which made Takumi smile.

"Remember the day you kissed me on the roof when you went to get that photo for me?" Misaki asked.

"Yeah, how could I forget?" Takumi said, remembering the taste of her lips.

"Well, it seems I always helping me after photo troubles because that phone call earlier was alerting me that I had received another one," Misaki said in a sad tone, holding back more tears.

"So someone's is trying to scare you, huh?"

"Yeah, and I don't know what to do," Misaki said now burying her face into Takumi's shirt, trying to hold back tears. Takumi began stroking her hair, trying to soothe the currently fragile girl in his arms. When Misaki stopped crying, she broke out of the embrace, only to look up directly into Takumi's emerald eyes. She blushed a bit and for a few minutes, the two just stared at each other. Misaki's heart starting beating faster. Their heads were slowly inching closer together until their foreheads touched. Their lips were now just centimeters apart. Slowly their lips met for a kiss, which soon grew with more passion than the last. Misaki soon wrapped her arms around Takumi's neck as he pulled her in closer from the waist. After some time, they broke apart for air, causing Misaki to instantly blush feverishly. Takumi's cheeks were even stained with a hint of pink. Both of their hearts were beating extremely fast by this time.

"Well, um… I better… get home. Yeah… I should go," Misaki said, embarrassed by the kiss.

"Yeah… see at school on Monday…Ayuzawa," Takumi stated, and with that, they both went their separate ways.

When Misaki got home, she immediately went to her room, leaving behind a very confused Suzuna. Misaki began screaming into her pillow for a few seconds. "I can't believe that just happened," she said while blushing.

When Takumi got back to his apartment he sat on his sofa and thought back to what happened only minutes ago. "You are so sly Ayuzawa," he commented with a small chuckle. He than saw he had a message on his answering machine, so he pressed the play button to listen.

Beep

"Hey, Takumi, this is your brother Gerald. I was calling to let you know I will be paying you a visit soon. Hope I can come to one of your concerts and we can talk about you rejoining the Walker family again. Don't blow me off this time. Cedric will message you with the details of my stay later. Don't bother calling me back."

Beep

And with that, Misaki's photo incident didn't seem that mysterious to Takumi.

At school on Monday, Misaki did her best to either bury herself in student council work or avoid Takumi all together after their last encounter. She was also trying to work out an excuse for ditching her friends backstage on Friday. They called, But Misaki was too afraid to answer, plus she's a terrible liar anyway.

"Misaki-chan, are you ok? You didn't answer you calls, so I was worried!" Sakura said as she ate Lunch with Misaki and Shizuko.

"Oh, sorry. I kinda left you guys hanging didn't I? My mom wasn't feeling to good, and when Suzuna called, she made it out to be worse than it was. She's fine now so don't worry. As for the phone, I-" Misaki was about to finish, but she was cut off by Takumi, coming out of the blue, saying, "I gave it to her this morning, so she wouldn't have been able to tell you this weekend anyway." Misaki looked at him surprise. 'Where did he come from', she thought to herself.

After Lunch, Takumi walked with Misaki back to the student council room. "Wow, you must really be an alien to always have such perfect timing," Misaki said with a smile. "Thanks, for your help."

"No problem," he responded. They kept walking till Takumi grabbed Misaki's hand causing her to stop and face him. "What?" she asked, confused by his actions.

"Wanna hang out after school tomorrow. There is a street fair near my house and I hear you aren't going to be working for awhile," He asked, hoping she would agree.

"Um, well I have some student council work, but if you help me finish it today, I guess I could, you know, hang out," Misaki responded with a mischievous smile.

"Of course, Kaichou."

After school, Takumi did just that. He helped Misaki with all her work for that day and the next, freeing up her afterschool time for walking around a street fair with him.

"So Takumi, what happened with Misaki the other day," Tora asked during band practice.

"She got an anonymous photo proving her identity as being two people at once. It's the second time too," Takumi responded.

"So that's what she meant by photo at that time," Kanou muttered.

"Yeah, and I think I know who's behind it," Takumi began. "My brother Gerald is coming to Japan soon to talk about me and the Walker family again. I think he knows I like Misaki."

"So he's been spying on you and threatening an innocent, albeit scary, girl," Tora said, slightly angered for some reason.

"So Gerald might get between us again,' Kuuga stated.

"Well, he'll try," Takumi commented. With that the boys went backed to rehearsal, lacking the motivation however, cutting band practice short.

The next day went by fast for both Misaki and Takumi. She was nervous and little bit excited for her "hang out" with Takumi, being to Misaki-like to call it a date. Takumi was looking forward to walking around with Misaki, especially since it might not happen that often when Gerald comes.

"Soooo… you ready to go?" Takumi asked Misaki as they met at the school gate.

"Yeah, I guess," she said in response. They walked down a couple blocks until they were so far past the school, they both subconsciously grabbed each other hands. Now walking down the street, hand in hand, they began to look like a real couple, even though it wasn't official yet.

"So, Misaaaaa-chan, do you enjoy kissing me?" Takumi asked in a little bit of a devilish tone.

"Wha…What? You perverted alien. Who would like kissing you, huh?" Misaki said, a blush staining her cheeks.

"Oh, well I guess I'll have to show you how good of a kisser I am then, since someone seems to be a bit of a liar," Takumi said, now smirking at the small raven-haired girl.

"Fine, I didn't mind kissing you," Misaki said in a voice almost shy of a whisper.

"What was that? I didn't quite hear you Misaaaaa-chan. Can you repeat that?" He asked while laughing at Misaki's embarrassed face.

"I know you heard me. If you keep teasing me, I will walk away from you All your hard work yesterday will be for nothing," Misaki said, turning away from her green-eyed monster.

"Always so sly, Ayuzawa," Takumi said, grabbing Misaki's hand and pulling her closer to him. They kept walking around the street fair, Takumi trying to avoid fangirls while Misaki just laughed and walked away.

"Misaaaaa-chan, don't walk away! Come back!" Takumi said, catching up with Misaki.

"Maybe we should gets a mask to cover your handsome face so we can walk in peace," Misaki said as she walked up to one of the street vendors booths.

"Oh so Ayuzawa thinks my face is handsome, eh?" Takumi said with a smile.

"Who would think you were handsome?" Misaki asked, pretending not to know what he was talking about. Takumi came up behind her and kissed her on the cheek, and before he was going to really kiss her, he was interrupted.

"Yes, the lady does have a point. Who would think your face was handsome," a cold voice said, causing Takumi and Misaki to turn to the side to see the man who made the comment.

None other than Gerald walker was standing there, with a bit of a devil's smirk on his pretty British face.
