A Cold Truth:
"Perhaps, I'm concerned that if I voice my opinion on what you did to Elijah, I will end up on the wrong side of your toxic hybrid teeth." Rebekah said annoyed. She knew that Klaus was going to have breakfast with her just to get information from Marcel. There wasn't point in him denying it.
Klaus slammed his hand on the table, pointing to her. "Poppycock, I would never bite you." Rebekah rolled her eyes taking a sip of her coffee, with a small smile on her face. "Elijah made some very offensive accusations about my intentions towards my child. He deserves a day or two of discomfort. Besides you know that my preferred method of your indiscretions is the dagger."
Anna Marie walked into the room, hearing the tail end of the conversation. "Can we skip all threats until after noon, please?" She shot Klaus a looked and he back off of his sister.
Rebekah leaned over him. "It doesn't matter, Annie. There is something fundamentally wrong with him." She stood up and walked off.
Anna Marie saw the look of distress of his face and sat across from him. "Well, what a delightful way to wake up. I didn't even get a proper good morning."
He smiled up at her, kissing her hand. "Good morning, sweetheart."
She smiled taking a glass of juice. "Ah, there's the charming Niklaus I know. Can you please no berate your sister today? She's already in a sour mood about Elijah and though I do not agree with what he said about your child, you shouldn't have bit him."
He sat back. "You heard the own accusations about my child, Annie."
"I did, but you've been doing better with them, let's not drive them away again." She asked him. He glanced up in her eyes.
"I will continue to do my best, love." He grinned. She rolled her eyes standing up. "And where are you going?"
"Out for errands. Try not to plot anyone's demise while I'm gone." She smiled at him as she left the house.

Anna Marie walked through the crowds of people, ending up at Marcel's compound. As she thought it would be, it was filled with all of his guys. They gave her sideways looks, but none of them dared to stop her as she walked into the house. Marcel and Rebekah were speaking in hushed tones, but stopped seeing her. Marcel smiled when he saw her, whilst Rebekah looked worried. She cut off Marcel before he could say anything. "Please, don't insult me into thinking that I'll believe whatever half ass lie you're going to come up with."
He chuckle. "You always know me so well. Anything you want to know, you're not going to want to hear."
"You mean why you and Rebekah are conspiring behind our backs?" She glanced at the blonde. "What are you two doing?"
"Nothing." Rebekah claimed. "You're getting nearly as paranoid as Klaus."
She glanced over at Marcel. "What's going on? Don't lie to me, Marcel." She asked him. He glanced at her.
He hesitated. "Klaus has done so much to us Anna. He daggers all of his siblings a thousand times over, I find out that he is planning against me, that he lied to both of us. We're stopping him for good this time." He said seriously.
She looked between them. "You can't be serious. He is immortal, for once and second of all, could you really do that to him? He took you in and raised you as a son and he's your brother." She turned on Rebekah.
"Who has taken every single bit of happiness from me." She snapped. "He has done this for years, Annie. You have been a victim of it as well. His wrath will never stop. If I don't do it now, he'll eventually dagger me when he finds them."
Anna Marie shook her head. "It's not possible anyways. He will slaughter everyone."
Marcel glanced back at Rebekah. "We'll put him in the garden. Listen, he'll just desicate for a few decades. He always does this. He deserves this, Anna. You left because of him. We never got our chance because of him." He cupped her cheek as she covered his hand with her own. "We could have that now."
She hesitated. "But at this cost? Could you really do that to him, Marcel? Could you bring yourself to bury him like that?"
He hesitated. This thought was already running through his mind. Klaus had taken enough from him. He was going to stop him. Before he could answer her, Rebekah zipped up behind her, snapping her neck. Marcel caught her before she fell to the ground. "What the hell was that for?"
"She wouldn't have agreed." She looked down wistfully at her friend.. "She would've gone straight to Klaus. I'll just give her some vervain and she'll be down long enough for us to finish this." Rebekah watched as Marcel took her to his room. She only hoped that she'd find it in her heart to forgive her.

Anna Marie rubbed her sore neck as she woke up. She groaned as she tried her best to sit up straight. It was already going through her head how she was going to kill Rebekah for what she did. It was already dark outside, but it wasn't the darkness that caught her by surprise it was the sound of fighting. She hurried out of the room, only to have her breath caught in her throat at the sight.
Klaus was hanging by chains on the compound as the rest of Marcel's men hit him. His mouth bled. She walked up to where Marcel and Rebekah just stood and watched. "Marcel, stop this. You have no idea what you're trying to do."
He turned to her. "I wouldn't kill him. They're just subduing him and he's going in the garden. Anna,"
"No! You don't understand. You really thought this would work? He is going to kill them all if you don't stop this now." She warned him. Marcel looked worried, but they all heard a bone chilling noise.
They all turned as they heard Klaus' deep growl rumble from his chest as his eyes turned to one of a pure hybrid. He sat up, breaking the chains and threw two men. "Marcel! Come and finish this!" He egged on.
Marcel immediately moved to help his people, not wanting to leave them to die, but Anna held him back. "Take the coin." Rebekah said stunned with fear as she watched Klaus continue to slaughter all of the vampires.
"What?"
"He won't stop until everyone is dead and he will kill you too. End this. Pick up the coin."
Anna turned to see Klaus rip out another heart in a fit of rage. "Do it, Marcel. Now!" She begged him.
"Enough!" He yelled as Klaus ripped out one last heart. Marcel shakily picked up the coin in his hand looking up at his former mentor. Klaus smirked as he walked towards him, blood covering his hands and face.
"Well, well, well. The great Marcel, self-proclaimed king of New Orleans, bowing down before me."
He threw the coin at his feet. "There. I hereby pledge my allegiance to you. You have the keys to my kingdome. It's yours." Anyone could see the heartbreak that lied in Marcel's eyes. It wasn't just that he lost his home, it was the family that he had lost as well. Klaus grinned in satisfaction. The kingdom now belonged to him.
It was nearly an hour later when the remaining soldiers had rounded up all of the fallen ones. They were now sprinkling alcohol on top of them, every now and then drinking from the bottle themselves. Anna Marie felt her heart go out for them and Marcel, who stood on the balcony watching.
"They're all gone." He had tears in his eyes as she took his hand in hers. He rubbed her hand between his. "I thought we could really do this, Anna.'
"I didn't' want this, Marcel. This is exactly the opposite. They're not going to leave you, but you can't try to stab him in the back again." She made him look at her. "Klaus could kill you and I'm not going to watch that happen."
He stared at her for a moment in surprise. He wrapped his arms around her as she hugged him. It didn't talk long before she pulled away seeing the hybrid. "I'll come back to see you later." She promised as she walked away, shoving pass Klaus, too angry to speak to him.

It was quiet in the house that morning. Anna Marie found it odd until she heard Klaus yelling and immediately got up, bumping into Elijah. "Welcome, home. You nearly missed everything." She said sarcastically as she went into the other room where Klaus stood with the dagger near Rebekah.
"You betrayed me, my own sister." He hissed in her ear.
"Niklaus, don't you dare." Elijah stepped into the room with Anna Marie.
He spun around pointing the dagger at him, as Rebekah came over to them shakily. "Well, perhaps, it should be you, brother, stealing my child away with every fawning moment of tenderness that you show to Hayley."
"This has nothing to do with her."
"It has everything to do with her." He snapped "She's adored you since she arrived, and now my child, my blood will grow up to call you father." He teared up at the last word. Elijah looked stunned.
"Is that what this is?" Anna Marie asked him. "You are once again worried that you'll be left behind? Has history taught you nothing? We don't abandon you, Nik. You drive us away!"
He dropped the dagger. "Is that so? What have I done lately other than cooperate? I bowed down to you, brother, to make up for daggering you for the greater good of our plan to reclaim our home; while you, Anna, flirt around with Marcel as he controls the empire that we build, that he took! Now, I make no excuses for past sins, but in the one moment, that my siblings could've chosen to stand by me, to believe in me and believe my intentions for my own child were pure, you chose to stand against me, to side with my enemies." His eyes were still wet with fallen tears.
Anna Marie took a step towards him, but he pulled away. "I know that you speak about me behind my back, about my child."
She hesitated. "Niklaus, I don't know what you're talking about."
He grabbed her arm. "Yes you do! I hear you speaking with Elijah, with Rebekah about my child! Go on, there's no use hiding it anymore. Give me your true opinion of me." His eyes were lit with anger and pain.
Elijah stepped in between Anna and Niklaus, realizing what he was thinking. "You're irrational. Don't put your hands on her. Anna Marie has never spoke ill about your child."
"I've heard you!" He demanded
"I was talking about Hayley's child!" She snapped surprising him. He grew silent. "I-I was speaking of our child, N-Niklaus."
"What?" His voice cracked. She looked down as tears welled up in her eyes. "Annie, what are you talking about?"
Elijah stepped back only to stay by Anna Marie's side. "I was pregnant with your child, Niklaus when we were human. That's what I was speaking about to your siblings. They knew, but I made them swear that they wouldn't' tell you. I-It isn't their faults." Her voice cracked. "Niklaus, please."
His face was completely unreadable as his gaze stood on the floor. It seemed like hours before he even looked up at her. He walked to her handing pushing the dagger in her hands, his eyes unwavering from hers. "I wanted my home and now I have it. Stay here with them for all I care." He tore his eyes were from hers as she started to cry. He walked out of the house, slamming the door behind him .
