She woke up to the sound of rustling outside her window. At first, she was startled, but she looked to her right and saw him laying there. She felt much better knowing he was there. She looked him over, watching his chest move up and down. She became lost watching him. She went over to her window and pulled it shut. She realized she was starting to shake, she knew she was beginning to withdraw. She looked at the spot under her bed where her box of treasures was hidden, and then she looked at Robin. *this isn't worth it* she thought to herself.

Ravens reckless behavior came because of her physical pain and her emotional pain. Many things in her life were hopeless and sad. She had many bad experiences when she was younger; most of her problems arose from her father. Trigon was a very dark being; he had hurt Raven in more ways than she could count. Raven has always struggled with one major thing, erasing her memories. She had flashbacks, voices in her head, and hallucinations quite often. She wasn't sure if it was from the emotional stress or physical abuse.

Raven tried everything in her power to forget for a while, at first she turned to meditation, then when that wasn't enough, she tried sleeping. Her flashbacks and hallucinations eventually prevented her from sleeping. She became tired and desperate for relief. She eventually turned to drugs to ease her troubled mind. Even if it only let her escape for a little bit, she did it. She had injured her leg as well; she had a constant pain it in. She often took too many pills to try to ease it away, but even though she still felt physical pain, with Robin she was beginning to feel normal again. She lost her anxiety when he was around. She felt safe, wanted, and most of all… happy.

She was beginning to hear fewer voices, see fewer flashbacks, and rely less on the drugs. Though she still needed her pills, she became less dependent of the drugs. Raven started to meditate again, which helped her get back in control of her life and powers.

The next morning she woke up in a cold sweat, she could hardly talk, and she was weak. Though she was mentally okay now, her body didn't agree with her sudden choice. She had to play it off as though she was sick.

Robin woke up to her coughing lightly. He placed a hand on her arm.

"You okay? " he asked curiously.

"Yes, just not feeling well. " She replied.

"Here, lay back down… I'll be back. " He said to her as he got up off her bed.

She stared at him as he walked out of the room. She found herself blushing at the fact that she was staring at his ass as he walked away. She lay in her bed curled up in her blanket for a few minutes. Robin entered the room carefully to not startle her.

"Here you go." He said as he handed her a cup of hot tea. One of Raven's favorite things was hot herbal tea. She sat up and took the cup from his soft, yet strong hands. She quickly finished her tea, it was made even better than she would make it. She lay back down as she enjoyed the nice feeling her tea gave her.

He lay down beside her, turning to face her.

"You're so beautiful. " he said looking up into her eyes.

She said nothing, just stared back at him.

"I know it's been hard for you. I just want to make you forget about all the bad stuff. I don't want you to hurt anymore. " He said as he stroked his hands down her scarred wrists.

"I actually believe you." She said to him.

"You probably think I am crazy, don't you?" She asked looking down at her wrist.

"No, just broken. I know there are secrets you keep, I know you face many struggles alone. I do too. Everyday I miss Gotham more and more, but you know what I miss the most? I miss my parents. It's been so many years since I've got to speak to them, see them, or even hug them. It's been so hard. Honestly I've wanted to join them over the years, but when I realized that I was falling in love with you, that changed my perspective on life. I realized that there was nothing I could do to change the fact that my parents are gone. So I started to live again. I can tell for you, that this is not living." He said as he kissed her wrist.

"I told you I want to see you happy, I know how scared you are to let me in, because the last person that you let in hurt you. I am not going to force anything at all, I want you to feel comfortable and ready if you ever want to let me in. I want you to know that I love you Rachel, and I'm not going anywhere. Only if you tell me to." He said as he stroked her hair.

"Richard… my past, it haunts me everyday, I have horrible flashbacks, I hear and see things. This is why I meditate, to try to separate what is real and what is not. My father has done many horrible things to me. When I was a young child, he murdered my best friend right in front of me. He made me watch, he said if I didn't fulfill my destiny, he would destroy everyone and everything I loved. When I turned 10,my father felt it necessary to try again to break me, he took me aside alone and raped me repeatedly, and over the next few years, physically abused me, until I joined the Titans. He left me alone, then you know the rest. Other than those major incidents, I've suffered from depression, anxiety, and many more mental health illness from all the trauma. The only thing that ever made my life worth anything was when I met all of you guys. Especially you Robin. I had a crush on you for quite some time now, but I had horrible thoughts about your reaction to me liking you, fear of rejection and sadness kept me away. I didn't want to get hurt again.." A tear started to fall from her cheek.

He reached his hand up and wiped away the tear.

"You don't ever have to worry about me hurting you." He said pulling his face close to hers.

She placed her hands on his face. Feeling the scruff of his beard, he hadn't shaved in days. She took a good look at him. His bright blue eyes shine in the soft light of her room. She looked closer at his face he had crow's feet and deep laugh lines. He looked so old up close. He was stressed out all the time she knew that much. She didn't think that it would make him look so tired, but she was attracted to this older looking side, it was a very mature look. Robin was the most mature of them all.

"Who knew years of fighting and struggling with yourself could cause that." She thought to herself.

They had spent the whole day talking about each other's lives, all the good, the bad, and the embarrassing.

Night had come all too fast for the two birds. They had gone to the large open window of Raven's room. They stood looking at the sun setting over the city.

Robin took her hand and spun her to the wall. He looked her in the eyes.

"I love you." He said passionately to her.

He began to pull her into the middle of her room. He grabbed her other hand and held them up. She was close to him. He began to slow dance with her. She had never danced before, but she went along with it. They danced and danced for a short while.

Raven looked up at him. He was so tall. She began to observe more things about him. He seemed like a giant to her. Robin had grown to over 6 foot tall and Raven only stood 5'4" tall. She wrapped her arms around his slender, muscular body, he did the same. He held her there for a few minutes.

"Come on, let's go lay down." He said to her. She turned and threw him on the bed.

"You first." She said with a feisty smile.

He fell to the bed.

"Robin…" She said in a shy voice.

"I'm all yours." He said with a smile.

She crawled on top of him slowly. When her eyes met his, it was like a connection she had never felt before. She leaned down and began to kiss him very passionately.

They began to make love. It was like something Raven had never felt before. Besides the fact that Robin was very well endowed, there were feelings, emotions, and two people being close. She felt so much emotion from him, she felt comfort, safety, and pleasure all at once. She knew she had done well to keep her guard up, but when she connected with Robin, joined two souls into one, she knew…She was loved.
