Hey guys! I hope you liked the last chapter, thanks to everybody who reviewed, favorited, or followed! Okay, so I have no idea if you guys noticed, but I have before mentioned that Fever's image can be found on my profile. However, it has come to my attention that my links aren't working… I don't know exactly how long that's been the case, but if you haven't seen fever's character sketch yet, if you got to , and go to my profile (broweiss27), and then there's a Sucked In folder where you will be able to see fever before the black order, and in her black order uniform.
Also, there might be some confusion as to who Mana is, and to answer the question, Mana is Fever's Golem. Mana is female. Mana's appearance and how Fever acquired her will be explained later. I'm still thinking about that story (the collection of one shots between fever and Allen). I would like feedback in the reviews, (or you can PM me) if you guys support the idea. If you have any Fever/Allen one shots (there isn't a time line, so it can be before the black order, or at the black order, and there can be crack!chapters that feature silly things with the Noah and stuff. (for example, Fever having a teaparty with the Earl and the Noah). AU's will also be accepted. So, Basically anything. Also, while it it mostly Fever and Allen, it can be Fever with other characters. Or course, those can't have romance between Fever and the other person. So, PM me any ideas you have for that. Or leave it in the reviews.

Turquoise: That made me smile. :) There will be more adorable interactions between the two, I promise.
Now that I've rambled… onto the story!
It was hot. That's really all I can say, considering that it was at least 90 degrees out. And we had been walking for the better part of an hour. And it was hot. I had built up pretty good endurance in the past few years, hunting auma will do that to you, but one thing I had never been able to deal with was the heat. I liked warmth. That was fine, comfortable. But when I felt like my skin was melting off? Yeah. I draw the line there. And I was seriously considering just getting a piggyback ride from Allen. Since he was strong enough to take my weight now.
Another thing I noticed. Allen was taller than me. He was significantly taller than when we were kids, as was I. But he seemed to have grown just a bit more, he was at least an inch taller. He hadn't noticed yet, thank God. A loud crack snapped me out of my thoughts, and I glanced at the ground. There wasn't a stick or anything in our immediate area, and none of us had made the noise. The others seemed to have come to this conclusion as well.
"What was that?" Lenalee asked, slight apprehension in her voice, because honestly? We all knew what it was. There was that heavy feeling in the air, the tension that always appeared before a fight. My eyes narrowed, something's familiar… The trees rustled, disturbing the quiet, and out stepped an akuma. Just one. A level two, which would be easy to beat in a fight. And I had seen it before. Lenalee and Allen sent me a concerned glances, probably because they hadn't seen me fight before, and didn't know if I even could. Kanda sent me a glance too, but it was more of a 'stay out of the way' look than the other ones. That wasn't going to happen, however, because one, there was no way I would back out of a fight, and two, the akuma knew who I was, and the only one it wanted to fight was me.
"You," it hissed through large, pointy teeth. "I know who you are." All four Black Order employees moved in front of me, seeing as I was what the akuma wanted. I rolled my eyes and brushed in between Kanda and Lavi, stepping out of my personal bubble of bodyguards.
"Yes, me. I'm flattered that you remember who I am, our meeting was rather brief. Although, I guess I did make quite the impression. Sorry about your companions, they were trying to kill me." I smirked, placing a hand on my hip. Confidence was key when taunting someone. "I would be happy to reunite you, if you'd like." The akuma let out a screech of fury and leapt at me. I dodged quickly, knowing I didn't exactly think this through.
My innocence is wired into my body, but it's mostly in my hands. I am able to infuse basically anything I want and turn it into an anti-akuma weapon. Every object works differently, though. For example, if I were to pick up an ordinary dagger and turn it into a weapon, it would be able to split into multiples of itself. I knew that because I used a dagger to fight akuma once. But if I were to pick up a katana, I would have no idea what it does, (because I had never used one before) and that would make it harder for me to use it, because it would be unpredictable. And right now, I didn't have anything lying around to make a weapon out of. Except…
"Mana! Come here!" My feline shaped golem pranced over to me, and I crouched down and began to concentrate on pushing the innocence out of my hands and into Mana's form. Waves of green rippled through her mechanical body a few times before settling, and when she opened her eyes they were to green of innocence. I smiled and stood up with new confidence. "Well, I think I'm ready to play now," I grinned. Mana seemed to grin too, with a mouth full of fangs. Her body began to grow in size, until she was about as big as a tiger. I glanced at her, purposefully portraying myself as someone who was bored because I knew it would make the akuma even more angry. "Rip it to shreds."
With that simple command, she moved quickly, leaping at the akuma. Mana is a golem, not an actual animal. I didn't have to give her commands like Klaud Nine did with her fight was over within seconds, and Mana swayed, then collapsed. I rushed over to her, worried. My innocence would be a lot more valuable, if not for the fact that once the weapons were done being used they crumbled into dust. I had used my golem for fighting akuma only once before, and it was a desperate situation. Otherwise I wouldn't have risked it. I didn't know if the overwhelming power of the innocence implanted in her would destroy her body over time, or if she could handle it. For that reason I knew I had to get the innocence out of her as soon as possible.
Usually the innocence was returned to me when the vessel I was using for it turned to dust, but since Mana didn't do that, I needed to draw it out manually. I placed a hand on her side and closed my eyes. Letting out a breath, I focused on drawing the innocence back into myself, feeling it fill me with a new energy as Mana's body shrunk down to her normal size. Another thing about my innocence was that when I put it into a weapon, it drained me. Especially if I wasn't in contact with the weapon. It had become less physically draining as I had built up skill, but I was still tired. Usually the adrenaline from the fight kept me moving easily, but afterwards I crashed. I could already feel the affects.
I stood up shakily, trying to stabilize my breathing. "Your innocence is your cat?" Lavi asked, causing me to open my eyes. Curiosity colored his voice, which was probably due to his bookman instincts. He had to know everything, it was in his nature.
"Not quite," I muttered tiredly, leaning against a tree to conserve my energy. "Using my innocence drains a lot of my energy, especially when I use it like I did back there. You'll find out what my innocence is eventually, don't worry." I paused and walked shakily over to Allen, obviously trusting him the most. "As of right now I can't walk without collapsing so," I made my eyes widen comically and held out my arms to Allen. "Carry me?"
I didn't really give him a choice, I leaned up against him, not able to hold myself up. He sighed and swept one arm under my knees and the other around my stomach area, lifting me bridal style. I had heard Lavi mumble under his breath, something along the lines of "I'll carry you," but I chose to ignore it.
"We're wasting time," Kanda's voice cut through my almost-sleep like a knife. "We need to keep moving." With that, the exorcists began to move, talking to each other. Allen started walking, and the light jostling his steps caused lulled me into sleep, the voices of the others fading.
(Time skip!)
When I woke up, I was on a boat. I didn't want to open my eyes just yet, still clinging to the fog that engulfed me while I dreamed. It didn't last for long before Lenalee noticed that i was, indeed, awake. "Oh, Fever! You're awake!" I cracked open one of my eyes tiredly.
"Unfortunately," I yawned, covering my mouth with my hand. "Where are we?" it looked like a small river, located in a completely enclosed tunnel made of grey stone. The small rowboat we were in rocked gently back and forth. I assumed we were in the entrance to the order, so we would be arriving soon. of course, they didn't know that I knew about this already.
"We're almost there. This is the hidden entrance for the black order, we'll arrive in a few minutes," Lenalee answered my question.
"It must be hard to find," I commented. "How did you find it the first time you'd ever been here?" I inquired, looking at Allen, already knowing the answer but wanting to see how he'd respond.
His eyes narrowed in annoyance. "I didn't. I had to climb all the way up the cliff to get in the first time." I tried and failed to hold in my snicker of amusement, turning my head away from him and covering my mouth. I could tell he was glaring at me, but I couldn't stop. I was still laughing when we arrived at the platform and Allen helped me out of the boat, even while I was laughing at him.
"Thanks," I gasped, beginning to recover from my laughing fit. I glanced up at him. "Sorry, but that was hilarious." I wasn't actually sorry, and he knew it, I could tell.
"No you aren't."
"Yes I am."
"You are not!"
"Am too!"
"Hey, you two! Get moving. We need to take her to see Komui!" Kanda's voice echoed through the hall, quite a bit in front of us. Apparently, we had stopped walking when we began to argue. Allen said something in response while I wasn't paying attention, but it annoyed the samurai and he split from our group to go do Kanda things, I suppose.
Somewhere along the way to the science division we had lost Lavi as well, he had gone to get something to eat. He explained it as, "I missed Jerry's cooking!" While Allen explained to me who Jerry was. We finally stopped at a large door, presumably leading to the science division's lair.
"Before we go in, I should warn you that they can be a bit crazy," my white haired friend murmured to me. I smirked at, assuring him that I would be fine.
"Before I met up with you and Mana I grew up around scientists," I explained. "My father was one." I could see the slight surprise on his face. I had never really talked about my past while I was with them, and they hadn't ever asked. I didn't tell many people, but it was necessary so Allen didn't worry too much. We entered to lab, Lenalee having already opened the door and walked in.
We stopped by what I assumed was Komui's desk, but he didn't seem to be present. Until I heard his voice behind me. "So, you're the new exorcist."
