Epilogue – The Next Generation

It had been ten years since the fateful and explosive battle between the Infinity Sword, Naruto Uzumaki and the Blade Master, Raven.

Naruto (now 27), along with now, his wives, Kurama and Tayuya have settled down in the Namikaze Mansion. Naruto was sitting in the vast training field that was his backyard, staring at the cloudy sky, remembering that fateful day.

Flashback

Everything was black.

Nothing could be seen, felt or heard.

A blonde-haired boy floated weightlessly in a dark abyss.

'Where am I? How long has it been since I've seen the light? How did I get here?' he thought.

He suddenly heard a voice, calling his name, "Naruto."

The boy's eyes shot open, frantically searching for the source of the voice, but could see nothing in the darkness. Suddenly, a bright, red light assaulted the boy's sight, bathing him in warmth. Seeing no other way, the boy sprinted toward the light before being consumed by it.

The boy awoke to find himself in a room bathed in white sheets. The only break in the whiteness were two streaks of red. As his eyesight sharpened and focused, he saw that it was the two girls that meant the world to him, sleeping soundly. Kurama sat in a chair, while Tayuya had her head laid on his chest.

"Tayuya-chan, that hurts a little," he said, petting her head. Kurama and Tayuya sprung to life, tears streaming down their cheeks.

"Naru-kun, you're okay!" they both almost screamed, happily hugging their lover. Naruto winced in pain from their heartfelt actions.

"OW, OW, OW! I said it hurts."

The red-haired pair immediately backed off and apologized, just glad that he was alright.

"How long have I been out?"

As he was about to get his answer, a new voice replied, "It's been three days."

The trio turned to the door to see Team Crow, led by the bruised and bandaged leader, Raven.

"Hey, Raven, how have you been since our fight?" Naruto asked, flashing his trademark grin.

"Hard to say, I only woke up an hour ago."

"Can't argue with that. What do you plan to do now? "

"Not sure. We've been made chunin, but we don't belong to any village, so it doesn't have much meaning if we just keep traveling."

"Why don't you just stay here?"

Team Crow was shocked at this suggestion. They had been traveling for so long that they hadn't thought of settling on one village.

"I know Tsunade would love to have you guys on the force, and frankly, I want to spar with you again, Raven."

Raven turned to his team, "What do you think?"

Rena beamed a smile, "I wouldn't mind staying. The people here are a lot of fun. I could get used to it."

Chung answered, "I haven't had a home since the fall of Hamel. Out of everywhere we've been, this place feels the best, like I can be happy here."

With that, Raven turned back to Naruto, "Well, then, it's settled. We're staying."

As Team Crow turned to leave, Raven flashed a smile at Naruto, "Don't slack off once you get discharged, Naruto, because I'll be expecting a rematch someday."

Naruto gave a determined smile back and replied, "You can count on it and we'll find out which one of us is the strongest."

End Flashback

Naruto was knocked out of his thoughts by the sound of quick footsteps approaching him. Before he could react, Naruto was tackled by a little ball of energy.

"Daddy, what are you doing out here all alone," asked a little boy.

"I was just thinking about the old days, Kushito"

"Like what?"

"Just random things. Let's head inside. Breakfast should be almost ready."

"Will you play swords with me after?"

"I don't know. I'll think about it."

"Pretty please?" Kushito asked, giving the puppy dog eyes. Naruto couldn't resist.

"Okay, okay, but only if you eat everything on your plate."

"YAY!" Kushito cheered, running into the house.

Kushito was the son of Naruto and Tayuya, and a literally endless ball of energy. He was eight-years old and had Naruto's bright yellow hair with a streak of red on his left side, but much less spiky than Naruto's.

"Auntie, is breakfast almost ready?"

Kurama was busy cooking when the boy ran into the kitchen.

"Almost, Kushi-chan."

"When do you think it'll be time to eat?"

"In a little while. I'll call you when it's ready."

"Okay," Kushito replied, running off to entertain himself.

Kurama sighed, "I'm going to get gray hairs if he doesn't slow down once in a while."

Naruto ran his fingers through her beautiful red hair.

"Oh, I think I see one," Naruto joked, acting surprised.

"Excuse me, dear, what was that?" Kurama said, smiling, but releasing a bit of Killer Intent.

"I was joking, Kurama-chan. I was a joke,"he said, backing away.

"That's what I thought," Kurama replied, planting a kiss on Naruto's forehead.

Tayuya entered the room after feeling Kurama's Killer Intent through the house. "Naru-kun, you should know by now not to joke about Kurama's hair."

Accompanying her was a little girl with long, silver hair with a red streak on her right side.

"Good morning, Minana-chan," Kurama greeted. Minana was the daughter of Naruto and Kurama, but her personality was more similar to Tayuya's while she's fighting, cool and unemotional.

"Good morning, Mama. Good morning, Papa."

Kurama finished cooking and the family sat down for her delicious cooking. "I can never get enough of your cooking, Kurama-chan."

As the family continued eating, Kushito just couldn't sit still, cleaning his plate as fast as he could. "Alright, Daddy, can we play swords now?"

"Let Daddy finish eating and then he'll play with you," Kurama said, slightly annoyed with the boy, "Why do you want to play swords so much, Kushi-chan?"

"Because I want to be just like Daddy when I grow up."

The three adults were surprised by the boy's dream, but couldn't help but smile.

"That's a lofty goal, Kushito," Naruto said.

"That's why it's going to be awesome when I make it happen."

'He really is my son. He reminds me of me when I was his age.'

"Oh, that reminds me," Tayuya said, catching everyone's attention. "Minana, don't you have something to show your Papa."

Minana stiffened a little, smiling slightly, "That's right. Can we go to the backyard after breakfast, Papa."

"Of course, Minana."

After clearing the table, the family went into the backyard.

"Okay, Minana, what did you want to show me?" Naruto asked

Minana raised her hands. Naruto was surprised to see a white ball of energy formed between them. The ball shot out of her hands and hit a tree in the distance, kicking up a small cloud of smoke.

"Well done, Minana, just like your Auntie."

"That's what I was thinking. She told me she wanted to train under me when she becomes a ninja," Tayuya agreed.

Kushito was fuming at how far his sister was ahead of him. "That's it! Daddy! No more playing! I'm gonna start training right away!"

"That's good to hear," said a new voice. The family turned to see Team Crow.

"You sure know how to sneak up of people, Raven," Naruto said, standing to greet his friend and rival.

"Uncle Raven, it's good to see you again. You, too, Auntie Rena and Uncle Chung," Kushito said, hugging each of them.

Team Crow had become famous in Konoha and the rest of the ninja world.

Raven had become the leader of the ANBU organization, Root, after Danzo passed away, and trained many aspiring swordsman across the world.

Rena established the Archery and Recon Corps, specializing in training in the styles that Rena herself created. These included the Grand Archer, focusing on long-range archery, Wind Sneaker (Rena's preferred style), focusing on close-range combat, and Night Watcher, focusing on mid-range archery and close-range swordplay.

Chung built the Konoha Artillery and Demolition Brigade, which helped with the defense of Konoha against enemies and foreign invaders.

"To what do I owe the pleasure of your visit, Raven?" Naruto asked.

"Well, I came to see my god-kids," Raven said, jokingly, "Also, I brought you some more visitors. Come on out."

Three children around the same age as Naruto's walked out of the house into the sunlight, two girls and one boy.

"This is Elsword," he pointed to the boy with red, spiky hair.

"This is Aisha," he pointed to the purple haired girl.

"This is Eve," he pointed to the silver haired girl.

"I would like you, Tayuya-san, and Kurama-san to train these three."

Naruto sighed at this thought. "Alright, Raven, I'll train them, but it's going to be tough for here on."

"They're ready for it, I guarantee."

'I guess it's finally time to pass on what we know,' Naruto thought, looking back to the sky.

As the years went on, the five children trained ever harder to surpass those before them. The legendary Yin-Yang Blades move into the next generation.
