BLOODSTAINED CHESS BOARD IS BACK IN ACTION! Yo Peeps, GMG back with chapter number nine of BCB 2! I do have info for those who don't read my other fics: Read Stealth, Speed, Observance! It's important as the plot now involves that fic with this one. SSO is complete so don't worry about that. There will be dimensional traveling and all that so don't freak out. Now, onward to insanity and lemon pie! Not fanfic lemons, but genuine lemon pie.
Disclaimer: I don't own RWBY!
The assembled looked at the GateMaster in anticipation. "My plan involves rather unorthodox methods."
Weiss frowned. "Such as?"
Tyson grinned. "Fighting fire with fire, but in a way you wouldn't expect."
Now Summer was curious. "In what way, then? Stop dodging the question."
"I believe he means me." Said a familiar voice, but kinder and more carefree than they were used to hearing. Roman Torchwick appeared. "Hello ladies!" He bowed to Weiss. "Ice Queen."
"Hey!"
"Hey!" Said a second voice, an echo of the first. A second Weiss walked over from behind Roman. "We meet another me and you still call me that."
Roman shrugged. "It fits you."
Ruby stared at Weiss number two. "Am I seeing double?"
Tyson snickered. "Just wait. There's more!" He laughed aloud. "The rest of you can come out."
Five more people walked forward, shocking everyone but the Altherians. A second Ruby, Blake, Yang, Weiss, and Emerald as well as Cinder and Roman not trying to kill them. A sight indeed. Emerald 2 waved. "We're not of this dimension, if it helps." She pointed at the GateMaster. "He wasn't too helpful on explaining, so I am just as confused."
The Ruby that just appeared stared at the other. "When did I get a scar?"
The original Ruby scratched her neck sheepishly. "At a concert turned fight."
The new Weiss groaned. "Of course the dolt would get a scar from something as stupid as a concert."
The original Ruby pouted. "I'm sorry."
Yang 1 feigned a scowl. "That's my girl's line."
Cinder and Yang 2 froze. "Wait what?!" They asked in union.
Yang 1 shrugged. "My girlfriend, Pyrrha. That's like her most common line. Ask Jaune."
Blake 2 hummed thoughtfully. "It seems that Yang's girlfriend is different here."
Weiss 2 nodded. "Makes me wonder why the other me is standing so close to the dolt and why she's fat."
Weiss 1 scowled. "I do not like being called fat. I am pregnant." Her counterpart gaped. "As for why I'm standing close to the dolt is because she's the parent and we're together. Thank you very much." She sniffed haughtily.
"All right, peeps." Interjected Tyson. "Before I continue our plan. Allow me to give you the run down." He pointed to the original cast. "This is this world's RWBY and co, except for my daughter, her wife, and Cora. Blake, Weiss, and Ruby are in a mutual relationship as opposed to the other Ruby who is with Emerald and Blake."
Both Yangs quipped. "I guess Ruby needs two girls in every universe."
"Yang!" Whined both Ruby's.
"Anyways." Tyson continued. "They got together, Weiss got pregnant because some magic performed by Misses Rose and fled. They caught up with her and learned why she was pregnant. Heading back to Beacon, the school decided on a concert/talent show which was a precursor to an attack by this realm's Roman and Cinder." He took a breath. "I and a few friends helped fight off the attack. Afterwards, I was called back home and left Team RWBY to collect allies that would allow me to return."
The newcomers nodded in understanding.
The GateMaster pointed to the newcomers. "Emerald was having fun one day, stole a man's wallet, but was caught by Ruby and Blake. After returning the wallet, they split, but not before Emerald gave Ruby her number. Ruby later called her about a date. Soon after Ruby discovered that Emerald worked for Cinder, but they managed to resolve it. On a certain mission, Mercury harmed Ruby and Blake confessed to liking Ruby as well. Thus began that trio. Afterwards, Yang hooked up with Cinder, not knowing what the woman did behind closed doors as it were." He chuckled. "Yang got to her and they grew close, leading the fun loving Roman to bring a point up that shot everything to hell. Why fight your enemies if you're dating, right? Cinder misunderstood and attacked Yang, thinking she had been used by the blonde. Soon after Roman owned the sorceress' ass so bad that she can no longer fight. Yang forgave Cinder, the end."
Blake 1 eyed him cautiously. "How do you know all that?"
"Watching."
Weiss one snarled. "You watched?! Even when we were intimate?!"
Tyson shuddered. "No thank you! I only watched the PG stuff, okay? I'm not a pervert."
Yang 2 snickered. "Still a creeper."
Yang 1 agreed. "Totally."
Summer sighed. "So, what's the plan?"
Tyson grinned. "Team JCKS will begin striking the outskirts of the enemy forces, accompanied by Cora. Team RWBY 1, sans Weiss, will be joining me in capturing Beacon back. Team RWBY 2 will be helping Cinder and Roman find their counterparts. Roman will face himself and RWBY will face the evil Cinder. Does that work?"
Weiss 1 nodded. "Yes, but concerning their army? What will we do about that?"
"That's where my kin come into play." He replied. "My kind will be taking them on head on."
Summer frowned. "What are we looking at in terms of numbers."
"A hundred or so Ascended against ten thousand White Fang." He replied calmly, not worried.
The rest gaped. "How?"
"How will they win? My kind lack numbers but excel in power and skill. They have faced an army a billion strong and we only lost one man. Have faith in them." He frowned. "As to how they have that many members. One of our kind has been helping them pool members from other realms. Not enough to hurt the other realms, but enough to raise their numbers. Thus why I insisted on joining this fight." He looked at them all. "Now, are you ready to do your parts?" They nodded. "All right. Let's get to work."
XXXGMGXXX
Team RWBY 2 and their tag alongs were helped with their descent by Tyson. The useful function of portals shining through. He dropped them off in Vale before getting back to the others. From what they had been told, the last few days had seen the White Fang occupy the majority of the city, though the civilians were left alone.
Roman glanced out of the alleyway they were hiding in, checking for any signs of the White Fang in their immediate area. He was happy to see none. "The coast is clear, girls. There's another place to hide further along the street."
Ruby nodded. "Alright. Let's move." The group went one after the other, running across the street and towards an empty shop, one that had closed down earlier. The name was graffiti'd over but the words 'book trade' were still visible.
Yang activated the window shrouds while the others settled down amongst the book cases. "So..." She said, gesturing about. "I guess that we could get a better read of the situation." She snickered to herself and a few of the others chuckled.
Emerald, who had been perusing the names of the books, came across something that made her eyes widen. "He actually had it..." She whispered, picking the book up. In her hands, she cradled a copy of 'The Third Crusade', the book she remembered asking about when she still worked with Mercury.
She wasn't the only one to recognize where they were. "Roman," said Cinder. "Didn't Emerald and Mercury clean up after your mess here?"
The others watched in interest as he replied. "I wouldn't say mess, so much as forgotten work." He chuckled. "I was a bit busy with the more interesting side of my job at the time."
"Why are we talking about this, now?" Weiss cut in. "We're supposed to be finding the other Roman and Cinder, then deal with them."
Roman laughed. "Calm down, Ice Queen. We'll get to that, but certain things need to be addressed first."
Blue eyes narrowed at him. "Such as?"
It was Cinder who spoke. "Seeing as I won't be able to fight myself, you need every advantage you can get. I know my strengths and weaknesses, so you should be able to defeat this world's me rather easily."
"Okay then." Said Ruby. "What advice do you have."
"Range." Cinder replied. "You have that advantage already. Yang fights up close, as well as Weiss and Blake, but those two also handle mid-range fighting quite well. You have a unique capability of long range and close range fighting, with that sniper scythe you wield. The trick to beating me is to not allow me to get a long range advantage. My magic works best from a distance and my hand to hand needs a bit of work. Keep her on her toes and have at least one person up close."
Yang frowned. "It'll be a bit hard to hurt someone with the face of someone I care for." She shook her head before smiling. "I guess I'll have to do my best."
Blake turned to look at Roman. "Do you need any help with your fight."
The ex-con shook his head. "Emerald will be taking on Mercury again and you guys will be facing Cinder. I know how I fight and how to avoid any of the tricks I can come up with. Besides." He added. "I have a few new tricks thanks to sparring with a few of the teachers at Beacon."
The front door opened, causing the others' attention to snap towards the entryway. All eyes locked on the intruder, mismatched pink and brown eyes staring back. Her eyes locked onto Roman and she frowned. The ex-con gulped. "Hello, Neo."
The next thing anyone knew, a sharp blade was resting on Roman's windpipe. Her look said it all, and what it said was, 'You're dead.'
Weiss, having been near Roman, managed to flick Myrtenaster up, batting Neo's weapon aside. "He's on our side."
Neo shook her head and handed them a portfolio she had hid... Somewhere on her person. She pointed towards it with a look that said, 'Read.'
Roman took it and flipped through it, eyes widening as he read a few of the entries. "The me from this universe is seriously deranged and not in a good way." He tossed it to the others, who blanched at some of the things inside.
Yang bristled. "Rape, murder, theft." She glared at Roman. "You're lucky that you aren't the Roman who did this shit."
He sighed. "All the more reason to take him out." The thief looked at Neo. "The one who did these things is the me from this world. I'm not the same person." He reached out to the girl, but she shied away, still mad. "Did the Roman from this realm...?"
Neo's eyes glistened slightly as her glare subsided into a sad look. She nodded and pointed to her throat, making a slicing motion over the skin.
Ruby eyes narrowed and Emerald spoke. "Roman. You find him and kill him. I know you wouldn't touch Neo, in our world, but this is too far."
Just then a voice spoke up, harsh and cruel. "So, you all are looking for me it appears." Roman, the indigenous one, snarked. "Well, I must say. It's a pleasure to meet you all. My boss wouldn't be so pleased however."
The ex-con glared at his mirror self. "You girls go on ahead and head to Beacon. I'll handle this myself."
Emerald nodded and waved the others over. "There's an exit in the back. Let's go!" The girls all left out of the bookstore, except one.
Neo, reluctantly, stood beside the new Roman. She'd rather not be near any Roman, but the need for revenge was so much more tempting.
Three weapons were raised and one smile was given. Two shots fired.
End...
That's the end of this chapter. I don't know when the next chapter will be posted, but I have other info. One, I have a poll up asking which RWBY story I should focus on, it's on my profile page. Also, to help handle my compulsive need for new ideas, I began a oneshot collection called Ship Shape, all RWBY oneshots. You can drop by and suggest pairings and prompts for chapters. I have three up already. That's all for now. Adieu!
