Hey, sorry this took so long. To make up for that I made this one extra long... not in that order though. Also, my spell check is acting weird for some reason. And there's going to be a part in a third person view in this CH. Just a heads up.

Enjoy!

Collapsing

His thrown body collides with a shelf full of magical potions, causing some of them to fall. Luckily none of them break open and create some sort of magical storm inside this small room. But even though I'm relieved that didn't happen, I don't let it show.

I keep my furious facade and continue my interrogation. "TELL ME!"

"I-I-I don't know! P-please just don't kill me!" the toad looking wizard pleads as he lifts an arm up in defense. I grab his arm with my right and his cloak with my left and lift him up. With the contact I'm making I can actually feel the drumming of his heart.

B-bump. B-bump. B-bump.

"Tell me," although I repeat this calmly I've already shown Bufo that my mood can change dramatically. Like when I first spoke to him. Well, when I first spoke to them. Those little tadpoles inside him that are the actual Bufo. But they weren't able to speak in unison due to how terrified they were of me so I dismissed them. But they know I can easily get to them if I want to.

"Tell me how he was able to find that crown," I growl as I tighten my grip on his arm.

B-bump! B-bump! B-bump!

"I-I don't kn-ow-ow-ow! H-h-he must still have a connection to it!" Bufo sputters.

B-BUMP! B-UMP! B-BUMP!

"How could he have a connection to it!? He's Simon from before he put that thing on! There isn't supposed to be any connection!"

"M-maybe it didn't work like that. Maybe all that was reversed was his physical body and mind. Not the magical connection to the crown. I don't know that's all he told..."

Bump.

He?

"...You didn't do it. You weren't the one to cast the spell," it makes sense now. He didn't even know for certain what he was talking about. "Whose he?" I question with a low growl. Bufo doesn't respond.

After giving his arm a "small" twist he starts to speak up. "AAGH! I DON'T KN-OW-OW! I-I C-C-CAN'T SAY!" Bufo wails.

"TELL ME!"

He goes silent again, only letting out a muffled scream. I start twisting his arm till I hear a creaking sound which I know will be followed by a loud Krak!

"Please...He'll kill me," Bufo quietly pleads.

"Tell. Me. NOW!" I yell as I start to transform into a giant, monstrous, bat.

"I-I-IT WAS THE SNAIL! The snail told me!" he says as he breaks out into sobs.

The snail? What does that even mean?

"What do you mean by the 'snail' told you," I ask. I don't understand this. How can he be so scared of a snail that he would risk lying to a vampire?

When he clamps up again I give his arm another squeeze. He holds in a scream instead of answering me.

"Tell me or I'll remove your arm completely," I threaten as I strengthen my grip more.

It's when I see tears in his eyes that he speak up again, but he still doesn't answer my question. "I was so scared. You wanted me to do something impossible, and I knew that if I failed you'd kill me. Then He came along and told me what I needed and what to do, or what not to do."

I set him down while still holding onto him as I try to put the pieces together.

"... That stuff I stole... It wasn't for the spell, was it?"

"... He told me what he needed. I don't know what he did with it all."

"You still haven't told me who exactly your talking about."

"I can't tell you, I've said too much already."

"I could kill you easily if you don't tell me, you know?"

"I know... but I'd prefer that over what he'd do to me."

I keep my grip on him and stare at him for a moment. I could feel his heart rate slowing down, which might mean he's content with his fate. After I decide that he won't give me any more information, and knowing that killing him won't get me anything, I let him go.

B-bump. B-bump. B-bump.

As I put on my cloak and make my way to the window while listening to his heart beat I stop...

B-bump. B-bu...

And slowly turn around.

B-bump.

"Let me make this clear to you, I'm not letting you go. I'm keeping you alive just in case you prove to have more use later," I say knowing he might not. But I still need to make a point to him that you should never cross a Vampire. "And when I do come back for you, don't even try to hide from me," I finish as I pull my hood up and fly through the window.

While I take the crows path home I try to piece together whats been happening.

Okay, so Bufo didn't cast the spell that brought back Simon, he probably wasn't even there. The snail is the one who brought him back. I feel like Finn might have mentioned something about a snail once. I can't really remember, I must not have been listening very much. Anyways, the stuff I stole probably wasn't even used in the spell.

Thinking about that really irritates me. Because that means I had to steal from Bonnibel for someone else's gain.

All I took though were some house hold chemicals... and some other not so house hold items.

I'm too tired and hungry to figure all this out. I've been too stressed lately to relax and take care of myself. I've only been eating enough red to keep from going feral. I decide to just relax at home and let Bonnie and then guys figure this out.

As I come into view of my cave I notice something that gives me the same feeling I had when Simon found the crown: Gunther.

"What are you doing here!?" I say to the penguin who looks up at me.

He just gives a "Wenk" in reply. I don't understand him, but I'm sure he's here for Simon.

"Listen, just go home already," I order Gunther.

He doesn't respond, he just continues to stare at me.

"Just go home already!" again, nothing. I'm starting to get annoyed and...

...scared.

Scared that his presence might revert everything back to the way it was. After all, he's not here for Simon. He's here for the Ice King.

He's going to ruin everything.

"I SAID GO AWAY YOU STUPID PENGUIN! YOUR 'DADDY' IS DEAD!" I scream as I take on a more demonic appearance. This finally causes a reaction in him. He starts to move as fast as he can while tears of fear stream down his face. "AND DON'T EVER COME BACK HERE!"

I could hear his terrified "wenks" dissipate as he ran away. I then turned to return to my cave hoping that Simon and the guys didn't hear...

Hear me frighten a small creature just looking for it's parent.

"Oh. Oh Glob, what did I just do?" I quietly say to myself, horrified.

A part of me wants to go after him and apologize. But another hungry, tired, and selfish part says that I was right to scare him off. That he could have wrecked everything... somehow.

I just wanna see Simon again.

With that, I go into my cave to dismiss Finn and Jake, have a snack, and take a much needed nap.

. . .

The dungeon looked nothing special. It was a very ordinary one. It's gray stones were covered with webs and had spikes with skulls impaled on them. And of course, every corner had some sort of skeleton monster.

Finn and Jake fought effortlessly as they were being surrounded by bony enemies while Simon stayed in a safer spot close by, holding a sword. Although, he wasn't using it, he was inspecting it.

"Hey Si, you wanna get in on this!?" Finn shouted as he reduced a skeleton soldier to dust with a mace.

"Um ah, no thanks. I'm fine with this," he responds, still getting used to the nickname that they've him. In fact, he was fine with just looking at a sword. His job always did take his mind off his worries.

Amazing. This blade is at least three hundred years old. And yet it's from a civilization I can't even recognize.

Simon thinks to himself as he inspects the old weapon. Not old enough though. Finn knew that many of the dungeons in Ooo were made after the Mushroom War, so there's no chance that Simon will find out the truth in this one he picked.

Wait. Did I pick this one? Didn't Jake... no, he didn't choose this place either. Then how did we get...

Finn's thought was cut off as he saw one of the dungeon baddies make it's way to Simon.

"SIMON, LOOK OUT!" Finn yelled as he starts to move in to help. But a skeleton soldier grabbed the back of his shirt and pulled him back into a crowd of skeletons. Jake, also seeing Simon in danger, was trying to stretch his body and assist him, but was being slowed down by a dozen or so baddies. He wasn't going to make it in time.

Simon, who heard Finn's warning, fell on his back and was now trying to drag himself away from the approaching enemy. Realizing that he won't make it, he looks for a weapon. After a frantic moment of looking around and an embarrassing moment as he remembered that he was already holding a sword, he got up to defend.

Before he was ready though, the skeleton had made it to him and clasped it's dusty digits of one hand onto him and with the other tried to grab at his hair, but only managing to knock off his glasses. In a panic, Simon pushed his attacker away, ripping his suit's left shoulder, and swung his blade.

As the skeleton's head hit the ground and his body started to feel around for it, he spoke. "Oh, come on! I didn't think the nerd could fight! That's the whole reason I went for hi-" much like his head, his words were cut off when Simon frantically kicked him into a wall, shattering his skull. Immediately his body stopped, truly, dead.

Simon took a few breaths as he marveled at what he had just done, at what he was capable of, and of how good it felt to do it.

That... that was actually really fun. I feel... powerful.

Slowly, a roar grew and eventually erupted from Simon as he ran into a crowd of Skeletons to help his friends.

. . .

"That was totally mathematical, Si!" Finn praises me again. "You were nuts back there, in the good way."

"Yeah man! You were awesome!" Jake also praises me again.

"Oh please, I'm sure you guys do that kind of stuff all the time." I say, trying to stay humble. Finn and Jake said that they were astonished by how I just started to fight all those skeleton soldiers. In truth though they got most of them after that.

"Yeah, but your new at this and you still kicked lots of bony butt!" Jake says.

"And you look way more awesomer now," Finn supports. I did look more awesomer now. I had found, and am currently wearing, something very similar to a phrygian helmet. Plus my suit was torn even more in the struggle.

Still i feel a little bad now. Not just because the suit Raggedy Princess made me was damaged but also because of how i acted back there, how good it felt to go crazy. No, I felt more powerful than crazy back there. Maybe that's what has been bothering me lately. How powerless I've felt while living with Marceline.

But I don't want to think like that. That makes Marcy sound bad. She really has been good to me and she has had good intentions. She's just been through a lot.

Boy, she's going to be pretty angry at us if she finds out about this. If she does, I'll take the blame. She won't be as angry at me as much as these-

Simon...

My thoughts were interrupted by a voice. Finn and Jake don't notice that I've stopped and continue walking down the dark corridor. I look for who ever spoke.

...Simon... this way...

I note how the voice is oddly soothing and powerfully pursuasive as I walk down another corridor to find where those words are being spoken from. I also note how different it is from the voice I heard a week ago.

Almost there...

After walking through an enormous cobweb I entered what I think is a secret room. In the center of the room is a altar, which appears to have some sort of item floating a few inches above it.

"Simon-min-in-in! Where are you-ou-ou-ou!" I heard Finn's echoing voice calling out to me.

"I'm down here! I think I found something!" I answer back. I then walk towards the, appartently, magical item. On closer inspection it's a pendent with a purple-red jewel on it and with some sort of symbol inside it.

I grab the pendent from the air just as Finn yelled, "Don't touch anything!"

After taking the pendent from it's rightful place, the altar started to lower itself into the ground, making a sound similar to two bricks rubbing together. I hurriedly back away from the vanishing altar. "Oh, this can't be g-" I was interrupted by a large stone falling next to me.

I see Finn and Jake in the secret room's entrance. "Come on! We gotta get out of here!" Upon hearing Finn yell I snap into action and start running. The corridors are big enough for all three of us to run side by side without tripping over each other.

"I'M REALLY SORRY GUYS!" I yell as the dungeon callapses around us.

"WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT, SI!? THIS IS AWESOME!" Finn yells back.

"YEAH, THIS PROBABLY WOULD HAVE HAPPENED ANYWAYS, DUDE!" Jake agrees as he runs on all fours.

"OH REALLY!? I GUESS I SHOUL- Cough! Cough!" I stop talking and cough when some dust hits my throat. But instead of worrying about finishing a conversation, I worry about making it out alive.

I could see a light up ahead indicating an exit. But after running through it to what I thought was are salvation, turned out to be an exit off the side of a cliff.

I was sure we were going to die until Jake turned into a parachute. In all the rush I had forgotten he has magical powers. I could see large chunks of the cliff falling off it's side as we came in a somewhat rough landing on some thin grass. I hit first and rolled before Finn landed but got tangled with the flat Jake.

As I got up and checked myself for any injuries, I noticed one of the rocks the fell off the cliff. Only, it didn't look like a rock, it looks more like...

"SIMON, MOVE!" Finn warns me. I look up to see what he is warning me about, I feel a chill go through my spine.

The entire cliff is falling forward, on top of us.

I can feel the air cool as the thousands of pounds of rubble block out the sun. We start to run, which feels like we aren't doing hard enough. When I look behind my shoulder I confirm that that's true.

...Betty, I'm sorry.

Right as we are about to be crushed from above, a force hits us from our left. This force doesn't hurt though. As a matter of fact it's carrying us away from certain death. I look up to see our savior.

"Marceline!" I exclaim. She's holding my left arm with her right while he holds Jake, who in turn is holding Finn, with her left.

"Thanks Marceline, you really saved are buns back there," Finn says.

"Oh, don't thank me yet 'buds,'" Marceline says in a calm but somehow scary voice. Finn and Jake's relieved smiles vanish off their faces to be replaced with fear. But my thoughts were brought back to the thing I saw earlier. That thing that didn't really look like a rock. It looked more like a...

A helicopter.

Not just any helicopter though. This one looked like it was built for something. Something like a war.

Good news, some one actually made an original song for this story for the contest. So the contest is over. The talented person is the wonderful AdoniaAlma!

[Roaring applause]

Her song will be introduced in... two CHs... maybe. Well, I'll try to get the next one done sooner. It will be shorter though... then again that's what I said about this one. See ya!
