Heaven was a beautiful place. Castiel explained how everyone has a different Heaven. He explained it as different rooms under one roof. This Heaven was an old man named David Jenkin, he golfs all day long. He brought Aleanah here to show her something.
A man, with a hole in his chest and blood seeping out. Burnt wings were spread out in the grass. She stared at this man in awe, seeing what it really was. An angel slayed. She didn't want to see this. Fear boiled inside and she fought back tears. Aleanah was utmost confused to why she kept seeing these awful things.
"Do not cry child," Castiel ordered, reaching in his pocket and pulling out a sheet of paper folded up. "Look at this." He unfolded it and handed the drawing to the child. The paper shook in her hands as she stared at it for a long moment, remembering that she drew it in that diner.
"I don't want to," she handed the paper back to Cas, staring down at the angel in the grass. "It scares me," she confessed. "Why can I do these things," she looked at him with a frown.
"It is...difficult to explain. I will show you but now is not the time I'm afraid."
She rolled her eyes. "You'll tell me when I'm older. I have heard that before and I don't like it. Tell me now Castiel. Why can't you?"
Castiel looked around, as if someone was watching. "There are ears everywhere and I feel you are too young to comprehend such an concept."
"I can comphend-compesent-comprend-what is that word?"
Castiel sighed. "Comprehend, it means to understand."
"I can understand! I can, I promise." She begged, but Castiel shook his head. "I understand that I am dangerous. I understand monsters want me."
"That is correct," Castiel nodded, noting her shutter. He sighed again. "Perhaps you'd be happier in someone else's Heaven."
She jumped with excitement. "Can you bring me to my momma? I really want to see her, please."
Castiel frowned, eyes flickering like he was reading something on a page. "She is not here." He looked down at Aleanah, who matched his confusion. "Sometimes the spirits take time to travel to heaven," Castiel lied to the little girl. He himself was confused her mother's soul wasn't here. He noted to look into that later. "I have an idea is to where I can take you."

His wings brushed against her cheeks again. She opened her eyes to the inside of a...restaurant? Actually, Aleanah wasn't sure where this new place was. It smelled of smoke and looked old and dusty. A table with green carpet on the top was in the corner, it had holes in the corners and different colored balls in a triangle. What was it called...a pool table? Yes! That's what it was, a pool table with sticks on the wall to hit the balls.
There were small square tables and chairs around them. Aleanah wasn't sure where she was, but felt comfortable. There was a strange table that wrapped around a desk with shelves that had a lot of bottles resting on top. Chairs around the strange table were circular without a back rest. This is where James Bond likes to go, Aleanah thought. What did he call it? A bar? That's what it was, James Bond went to bars. Castiel brought her to a bar.
"Well if it isn't Castiel, been a while. Who's your friend?" A woman with dark shoulder length hair. Her voice was stern. She wore a black shirt with a grey unbuttoned long sleeved shirt and jeans. Her eyes were brown, eyelashes thick with mascara. As she spoke, she cleaned a glass with a white towel.
"So it has," Castiel replied with a sort of smile. "This is Aleanah Day. I am going to be leaving her in your care until I return. I must go now."
Aleanah turned swiftly towards Cas, whom she trusted and was now leaving her with strangers. Before she could say anything, he disappeared. Anger filled her small body and she now understood how Dean felt every time Castiel flew away. I miss Dean.
"Well hello Aleanah, take a seat. I'm Ellen." Ellen gestured towards the stool that was the same height as the five year old. Aleanah climbed up the stool and faced Ellen. "What's so special about you sweetheart?"
A blonde girl came from the hallway and entered the bar. Her wavy blonde hair reached past her shoulders and nearly touched her elbows. Her eyes were a dark brown, like Ellen's. She wore a black top and jeans, face clear of any make up. "I thought I heard Cas," she looked at Aleanah, "who's this?"
"Castiel just dropped her off. Aleanah, my daughter Jo. Jo, Aleanah. Hey Ash! Get your ass out here we have company!" Ellen shouted, Aleanah could tell she was the boss around here.
Ash was a strange man with long dark hair, not as clean and soft looking as Sam's, and his was cut in the front and long in the back. It confused Aleanah. "Well, well, well. Look what the cat dragged in, what is this?"
"Aleanah," Jo answered, "Castiel brought her."
"That angel guy? He never stays long enough for me to meet him," Ash retorted with a frown.
"You wonder why that is," Jo snapped. Ash rolled his eyes. Aleanah noted that the two acted like Sam and Dean acted. Like siblings. I miss them. She sighed and let her head rest on her hand. "Why so glum kid?" Aleanah decided that she liked the three of them, though she couldn't put her finger on why. She felt safe.
"Monsters after me."
"Preach it to the choir kid," Ellen said, taking a glass and setting on the bar beside her. Aleanah didn't understand what she meant, she found herself looking for a choir to preach to but found none in the bar.
"What kind of monsters," Jo asked, frowning at the child and now intrigued. She was a hunter after all. Ellen gave Jo a cynical look that made Aleanah not want to talk about it anymore.
"She doesn't want to talk about that Jo, what she wants is a glass of milk with cookies. Yeah? Ash, get the cookies from the cabinet."
Ash frowned, "but those are mine, I'm saving them."
"Ash, this is Heaven. If we want more cookies we can get more cookies. Go," Ellen ordered and with a heavy, childish sigh, Ash left. "Jo, go wipe down the table tops, I'm expecting company later." Jo gave her mother a what the hell look. "Not tomorrow, yesterday," Ellen snapped and Jo went around the bar rolling her eyes. "Now, why don't you tell me what it is the monsters want with you."
Aleanah stared into Ellen's dark brown eyes, looking at the woman as she leaned against the counter and poured milk into her glass. The girl was hesitant, Ellen could see that. "Well…Castiel said I have angel Grace inside me. Dean and Sam-"
"-You know Dean and Sam," Jo interrupted from across the room.
Aleanah felt more comfortable knowing they Ellen and Jo knew the brothers too. She nodded, taking a large gulp of her milk. "You know them?"
Ellen smiled, "we've met once or twice. The boys know you're up here?"
Aleanah shook her head, "I don't think so. Dean angry when Castiel had me. Cas said he'd bring me somewhere safe. Is Heaven safe?"
Ellen cocked her head to the side, "depends on what you're running from."
Aleanah frowned, before she could say anything else Ash strolled in with the cookies. "There's the last of them." He looked at Aleanah, "don't waste a single one, this may look like heaven but that right there," he pointed at the box of cookies, "that's the real heaven."
The girl smiled. She had felt on edge since Dean and Sam saved her from the monster at home. Always looking over her shoulder, always peeking from one eye when they thought she was asleep. The nightmares were the worst. Here she felt like she'd never need to sleep. Warmth overcame her. The doors opened, white light came through the opening that blinded her.
When the swinging doors closed, a man with a short brown beard, a flannel shirt, and a baseball cap walked towards the bar. Aleanah had seen this man before, in her dreams that is. She knew exactly who he was.
"Hi Bobby!" She hopped off the stool and wrapped her arms around the hunter.
