The other Avengers were slowly waking up one by one. Natalia was the last to rise simply because the men were scared of waking her. She was notorious for nearly killing the person who woke her up. Rumor had it that, once, it hadn't been nearly. But that was most likely just a story, or so they hoped. When they were finally all up, they sat in a circle and talked about recent events.

"Is it me or is Bruce is hiding something from us?" Natalia asked. "I feel like he knows something about this girl that he's not telling us. Something important." Tony and Clint nodded in agreement.

"I know what you mean. He keeps looking like he's about to tell us something, then changes his mind. It's starting to piss me off." Tony replied. He ran his fingers through his hair, a nervous gesture his friends knew well. "I mean, why can't he trust us? We're a team! Come ON!"

"Getting upset will not help." Clint interjected calmly. "He will tell us when we need to know. He no doubt has his reasons." Natalia nodded in agreement. They looked at Tony and were surprised to see how distraught he was. He hid it well, but the assassins knew the inventor well enough to know that he was very worried.

"I doesn't matter." Tony snapped. "He can't go around hiding secrets! It will make his heart rate go up, then we're in big trouble! Besides," he continued, turning. "why won't he trust us? Haven't I been playing nice? He is the first person I can have an intelligent conversation with. I might even call him a friend! But he won't even tell me information that might just be important." Clint and Natalia hid their surprise fully, but inside they were shocked. This was the first time the great Tony Stark had admitted to having friends or had ever shown this much emotion. They were thinking of how to respond when the little girl from yesterday ran in.

"El desayuno está listo." she said. Although Spanish wasn't Clint's strong suit and Tony couldn't speak it at all, they immediately caught the gist. Clint's stomach growled even as they scrambled up.

Bruce and Steve were waiting for them at the short table where the food was being served. The smell of the delicious food only made them more eager. Sonia served them graciously and smiled when they dug in with gusto. As they ate, Victor told them what he had informed Steve of. Tony was obviously disturbed by the news that the technology that he had developed was being used by such men to control an entire village.

"What do you mean by sending word? How could she possibly do that while locked up?" Natasha asked. Victor only shrugged and gave a vague, "She has her ways. It's not my place to say how." Bruce only became more agitated.

"What are we waiting for, then?" He finally burst out. "Why are we sitting here instead of saving her?"

"Señor, I do not know what you can do. Four men and a woman against an entire compound of armed men, not to mention the metal contraptions? It's impossible!" Victor cried. Bruce smiled dangerously.

"You forgot one thing. They've made me mad." He leaned over the table. "Now. Where is this compound?"

Emily was sleeping on her metal cot when the door opened and Julio Gonzales walked in. "Up." he ordered, leaving no room for insubordination. She obeyed. Easy. Not yet. Wait for an opening, then strike with no mercy. He seized her arm and dragged her out of her cell, up the stairs she had seen earlier, and outside into a courtyard. There was a group of androids waiting silently, all carrying guns. She allowed herself a small smirk. They honestly thought that could stop her. She allowed herself to be dragged into the center by her hair.

"You will agree to my bargain." The drug lord demanded. "If not, my machines will fire. Straight, simple, and to the point." He smiled coldly. In that moment, Emily realized that this man would throw her life away in an instant. The only one who could save her was herself. Anger flared up with in her. How DARE he touch her! What was he but a pathetic, spiteful slug? She snapped her head up at him. His eyes filled with fear at the sight of hers. They were a venomous green that immediately called up the image of green fire. He knew he had made a grievous error. Before he knew what was happening, she stuck her right leg between his and tripped him. As he fell, he lost grip of her hair. Before he even hit the ground, she brought her hand down in a chopping motion on the back of her neck. That was the last thing he remembered as the black mist crept into his vision and he blacked out.

She spun around, barely even noticing the wild bullets from the guns of the automatons. She flew up and landed on the back of one and stuck her hand down through the neck and into the chest, pulling out a handful of wires sparking madly, as if angry at being at being upset from their designated places. The robot collapsed, but she was no longer on top of it. She was already pouncing on the next, repeating the process. She was moving so fast one could scarcely focus on her. She was practically a blur. She was pure energy. She suddenly felt the presence of men and knew that Julio's lackeys were coming, drawn by the noise of battle.

All of a sudden, her body seized up and she could no longer control it. Her muscles began to spasm. She had been tasered. She couldn't think, couldn't breathe, couldn't do anything. She saw only black. But inside, she smiled. They were afraid of her now. Good. They should be...
