Ok, I know that I said that I was going to write a few special chapters in this story, but I decided to make it into a separate story for fun, but you'll probably have to wait for a while because I'm still working out on how to plot it out, just be patient and I'll have it up soon.

So many months passed and they still haven't found a place to build a life with, now they came by a house that looked hidden by vines and trees. Rick, T-dog, Daryl and Carl burst in the house; Rick shot one walker and T-dog stabbed the other with a spear like weapon, then they all spread out to search for anymore walkers lingering in the house.

Rick entered a small closet and Carl searched the kitchen; Rick began to walk towards the door slowly, then he grabbed the door knob and swung the door opened and pointed his gun, and Daryl did the same on the other side. They both laughed a little and relaxed; then Daryl and T-dog went upstairs to look around. Rick and Carl stayed in the kitchen, then the door opened and Maggie and Glenn came in.

Once the house was clear, Daryl and T-dog came down and Daryl was plucking an owl; Rick went to the door and whistled, then everyone was soon coming inside, moving some luggage in, and Sophia was helping Lori since she was getting bigger with her pregnancy. Carl searched through the kitchen to see if there was any food, but couldn't find anything, all he found was dog food.

Everyone was gathered in the living room, Rick was looking out the window, and then Carl came in and sat on the floor and started to open one of the dog food cans. Rick came over and picked the opened can up, then he threw it in the fireplace, feeling frustrated; everyone stayed quiet. T-dog looked out the window and spotted more walkers and he signaled that they now had to move again.

Everyone soon gathered everything and got out of the house and headed towards the cars, they placed their gear in the cars and soon headed out on the road again. As soon as they were far away from the house, they parked their cars and got out.

"Fifteen, you're on point" Rick said to Carl.

"We got no place left to go" T-dog said.

"When this herd meets up with us, we'll be cut off, we'll never make it south" Maggie said as she pulled out a map and everyone was gathering around.

"What do you saw, about a hundred and fifty head" Daryl said.

"That was last week, could be twice that by now" Glenn said.

"This river could have delayed them, if we move fast, we might have a shot to tear right through this" Hershel said.

"Yeah, but if this group joins with that one, they could spell out this way" T-dog said.

"So we're blocked" Maggie sighed.

"The only thing to do is double back, 27 and swing towards Greenville" Rick said.

"Yeah, we picked through that already, it's like we spent the winter going in circles" T-dog said.

"Yeah I know, and soon we'll push west, haven't been through there yet; we can't keep going house to house, we need to find a place to hole up for a few weeks" Rick said.

"All right, is it cool if we head to the creak before we head out?" T-dog asked, "Won't take long, we got to fill up on water, we can boil it later"

"Knock yourself out" Rick approved.

"She can't take much more of this moving about" Hershel said.

"What else can we do, let her give birth on the run?" Rick questioned.

"You see a way around that" Hershel said, then walked away.

"Hey, while the others wash their panties, let go hunting" Daryl said as he loaded his crossbow, "That owl didn't exactly hit the spot"

Rick grabbed some ammo and they both went out into the wood and they walked on some train tracks.; as they walked down the tracks, they came to a clearing and saw a prison.

"That's a shame" Daryl said as they stopped and stared, looking around at the prison walkers.

Rick and Daryl soon went back to the group and told them of the prison, thinking it might be a great place to stay. They got in the cars and headed out towards the prison; once they were there, Rick grabbed a pair of pliers and cut open a hole in the fence; the others were killing any walkers that were coming their way.

"Watch the backside" T-dog said.

"Got it" Lori said.

Rick finished cutting the hole and everyone went through; when everyone got in, Glenn and Daryl used some wires to tie up the hole. As soon as they were in the gates, the walkers were drawn to them like a moth to a flame, pressing against the fence; they ran down the cleared path and found the entrance to the prison.

"It's perfect" Rick said, "If we shut that gate, prevent more from filling the yard, we can pick off these walkers, we'll take the field by tonight"

"So how do we shut the gate?" Hershel asked.

"I'll do it, you guys cover me" Glenn volunteered.

"No, its suicide run" Maggie protested.

"I'm the fastest" Glenn said.

"No, you, Maggie and Beth draw as many as you can over there, pop them through the fence, Daryl, go back to the other tower, Carol, Sophia, you've become a pretty good shot, take your time, you don't have a lot of ammo to waste; Hershel, you and Carl take this tower" Rick directed.

"Right" Carl said and they both went inside.

"I'll run for the gate" Rick said.

Everyone separated to do what they were advised to do; Glenn, T-dog, Maggie and Beth screamed out for the walkers and began to stab them one by one. Lori opened the gate up for Rick and he ran through, taking out walkers on the way; Daryl, Carol and Sophia shot at the walkers from the other tower, not missing a shot, but then Carol accidentally shot at Rick's feet.

"Sorry!" Carol called out.

Rick made it to the gate and closed it off, then he joined in on shooting the walkers. After a while, all the walkers in the field were dead and everyone felt happy, then they began to gather.

"Fantastic!" Carol said.

"Nice shooting" Daryl complimented.

"You ok?" Carol asked Lori.

"Haven't felt this good in weeks" Lori said.

"We haven't had this much space since we left the farm" Carol said.

Everyone was feeling very happy, more than they did since they left the farm. Night came and everyone was gathered around the fire pit, eating some food.

"Mmm, just like mom used to make" Glenn joked and chucked the bone.

"Tomorrow we'll pull the bodies together, wanna keep them away from that water, we can get a canal under the fence, and we'll have plenty of fresh water" T-dog said.

"This soil is good, we can plant some seeds, grow some tomatoes, cucumbers, soy beans" Hershel said, then he turned his attention to Rick who was walking along the fence, "That's his third time around, if there was any part of it compromised, he'd found it by now"

"This'll be a good place to have the baby" Beth said, trying to take Lori's mind off of Rick, "Safe"

Carol brought Daryl some food and stood on top of the car with him.

"It's not much, but if I don't lend you something you won't eat at all" Carol said.

"Yeah, I guess old Shane there got quiet the appetite" Daryl said as he ate.

"Don't be mean, Rick's gotten us a lot farther than I ever thought he would, I'll give him that" Carol said, "Shane could never have done that"

Carol looks out to the other and looks at Sophia, she had Nuna in her lap and she was staring blankly at the fire, Daryl notices as well.

"What's wrong?" Daryl questioned.

Carol didn't say anything at first, then she looks at the ground and simply answers, "She misses her"

Daryl didn't say anything, he knew who she was talking about.

"She barely says anything, she rarely smiles, I miss her too; she was like an older sister to Sophia, a daughter to me" Carol said.

Daryl grunted in agreement; at the farm, he noticed that the three gotten real close, like they formed their own little family outside of the group, and he has noticed a small change in Sophia as well, like she was distancing herself from everyone.

"Everyone misses her; Beth, Maggie and Hershel say a prayer for her every night, Sophia hopes that she'll come back soon, Lori misses the talks she and Echo had, it's almost not the same without her" Carol said, then she turned her attention to Daryl, "Do you miss her?"

Daryl didn't say anything at first, he didn't want to admit it, but he did miss her a little, she was a bit quirky, she always said what was on her mind, she was kind and caring, and she always kept her emotions in check, not letting it fly everywhere like most of the group.

"Barely" Daryl half lied.

"It's ok to miss her, everyone else does" Carol said with a small smile, it was a little funny seeing him deny how he felt.

Daryl didn't answer and Carol dropped it, knowing he was too stubborn to admit it; they both soon returned to the fire pit with everyone else, just in time to hear Beth sing a song. Beth sung a few verses before Maggie joined in on the singing; then Rick came by and saw between Carl and Lori. The song soon ended and everyone thought it was lovely.

"Better all turn in," Rick said, "I'll take watch over there, got a big day tomorrow"

"What do you mean?" Glenn asked.

"Look I know we're all exhausted, this was a great win, but we got to push just a little bit more; most of the walkers are dressed as guards, prisoners, looks like this place feel pretty early, could mean the supplies may be in tacked, they have an infirmary, commissary" Rick said.

"An armory" Daryl added.

"Better be outside the prison itself, but not too far away, wardens offices have info on the location, weapons and food, medicine, this place can be a gold mine" Rick said.

"We're dangerously low on ammo, we'll run out before we make a dent" Hershel said.

"That's why we have to go in there, hand to hand; after all we've been through, we can handle it, I know it; these assholes don't stand a chance" Rick said.

Rick then left and Lori followed him.

"Did you eat enough?" Carol asked as she sat beside of Sophia.

She just gave a very small smile and nodded, then she continued to watch the fire with a blank stare and petted Nuna as she purred in her in lap.

"Maybe you should try to sleep tonight" Carol advised.

"…Ok" Sophia said in a tiny whisper, and then moved to rest her head in her mother's lap.

Morning came and everyone prepared to get in the prison.

"Ready" Hershel said.

Rick opened the gate and the walkers came, Rick, T-dog, Daryl, Maggie and Glenn went in and began to kill the walkers, the others were on the other side, trying to attract some walkers and killed any that came at them. Half way in, T-dog grabbed one of the S.W.A.T teams shield.

"Almost there" Rick said, then he opened a door for one of the towers and didn't see anything.

Rick glanced around the corner and saw dozens of walkers on the other side of a fence with the gate open and they hide, but then two S.W.A.T team walkers came out, then two more came out from around the corner. Daryl tried to use his crossbow, but they were wearing helmets, so it deflected. Rick, T-dog and Daryl soon got closer to try and kill them, and when Maggie and Glenn were about to join, a walker came out from the tower that was thought to be empty and it was a walker with a gas mask on.

While the others were killing the other walkers, Rick and T-dog continued to try and kill the S.W.A.T team walkers. The fighting was soon starting to attract the walkers from the other side of the fence and they began to come out, but Rick and Daryl ran over and closed the gate before anymore got out. They continued to try and kill the S.W.A.T team, but they still couldn't kill them, then when one of the walkers grabbed onto Maggie, she lifted the walkers head and stabbed him from underneath the helmet.

T-dog and Glenn soon did the same thing, then Daryl came up behind the walker and stabbed it in the back of the head. Rick took down the walker in the gas mask, and when he removed the mask, its skin just came off, revealing his skull, Rick was a little disgusted, and then he stabbed the walker. Maggie soon took out the final S.W.A.T team walker; they were soon about to head back to the others.

"Stop" Rick said and looked around.

"Well, it looks secure" Glenn said.

"Not from the look of the quart yard over there, and that's a civilian" Daryl said and pointed to the woman he took down.

"So the interior could be overrun from walkers from outside the prison" T-dog said.

"Well if there's walls down, we can't rebuild this whole place" Glenn said.

"We can't risk a blind spot, we have to push in" Rick said and headed for the door that lead in the prison.

The others began to follow and the rest of the group wondered where they were going. When they made it to the door, Daryl opened the door and they prepared themselves, but there was nothing, so they started to go in. The place was dark and they could barely see anything, T-dog closed the door and they began to explore around.

The place was a little trashed, but there weren't any walkers around. Rick climbed up the stairs and looked in, he saw a dead officer and he poked him to make sure he wasn't a walker, and then when he was reassured that he wasn't, he grabbed the keys from the officers' belt. They unlocked the cell block door and began to look around; they found a few dead prisoners and looked around on the second level.

While Rick and Daryl were on the second floor, they heard a crash and they went to investigate, they passed by a closed cell door and saw a walker in there, then they saw another in the next cell. They soon killed them and dumped them down to the first floor for the others to take away to burn them. T-dog dragged the body away and Glenn and Maggie lead the group in the cell block.

"What do you think?" Rick asked as he came down the stairs.

"Home sweet home" Glenn said as he moved some of their luggage into the cells.

"For the time being" Rick said.

"It's secure?" Carol asked.

"This cell block is" Rick answered.

"What about the rest of the prison?" Hershel asked.

"In the morning, we'll find the cafeteria and infirmary" Rick said.

"Will we sleep in the cells?" Beth asked.

"I found some keys on some guards, Daryl has a set too" Rick said.

"I ain't sleeping in no cage, I'll take the perch" Daryl said.

Everyone soon split off and went to find a cell that they'll now call their bedroom.

"Thank you" Lori said to Rick, touching his arm, but he recoiled and walked away.

Lori and Carol moved into the same cell, Maggie and Glenn had their own, Beth and Hershel bunked together, and Sophia and Carl shared the same one.

"Dibs on top!" Carl called first and tossed his bag on top.

He wanted to make it a game with Sophia, but she just placed her backpack on the bottom and sat down, not saying a word. Carl looked at her for a bit, then he sat down beside her; Carol and Lori soon came in to see how they were doing, and they saw that they didn't look as happy as they were before.

"She'll come back" Carl said, grabbing Sophia's hand and gave it a squeeze.

Sophia looked at him, then at her mom and Lori, then she gave a small smile.

"Can she sleep in here with me?" Sophia asked, her voice still small.

Lori and Carol looked at each other, not sure if they should say yes when they don't even know if Echo is still alive, and even if she was, they didn't know if she'll find them, she could be miles away from them.

"Yeah, where else would she sleep?" Carl said.

Sophia smiled, then she grabbed her backpack and tossed it on top.

"Then when she comes back, we'll take the top" Sophia said with a smirk.

Then they got in a playful fight to see who could get to the top first and both women were laughing as Sophia got to the top first and tossed Carl his bag; Carol was glad to finally see her daughter playing and happy again.

Michonne had soon returned from her trip from the drug store and as she came into the deer cooler, she saw that the place she left Andrea and Echo was empty, she prepared to pull her sword out, she walked further into the store and saw Andrea lying sideways on the floor and Echo was by her side.

"Whatcha doing out here?" Michonne asked.

"Some walkers came by the place and I went out to kill them, then when I came back, Andrea moved in here" Echo answered.

"I didn't sleep" Andrea answered groggily.

"You're sick Andrea, you can't move around so fast" Echo said as she pulled Andrea up and leaned her against the wall.

Michonne kneeled down beside of Echo and reached into her pocket and pulled out some aspirin packets and ripped them open, spilling the tablets out and fed them to Andrea, then she pulled out a bottle of water and got Andrea to drink some. After Andrea watered down the aspirin, Michonne pressed the bottle to her forehead to cool her down from her fever.

"How is it out there?" Andrea asked, breaking the silence.

"Same" Michonne answered, "It's quiet"

"You're lying" Andrea croaked.

"She was right about it being the same, they'll come and go every now and then" Echo said.

"We should go in a few days" Michonne said.

"They're coming, y'all should go" Andrea said.

"No" Michonne said firmly.

"I'll hold y'all back" Andrea said.

"Andrea" Echo said.

"I can take care of myself, I saved your asses all winter didn't I" Andrea joked.

"Now we can save your ass" Echo shot back.

Andrea began to cough violently and Michonne patted her back, once she stopped coughing, Michonne tried to give her some more water, but Andrea pushed it away.

"I won't have y'all dying for me, that solider won't leave your post, screw you" Andrea said as she wrapped herself in her sweater and closed her eyes.

"Andrea, we've come to far just to die off" Echo said.

"We'll go in a few days" Michonne said, then stood up.

"If we stay, I'll die here" Andrea said.

Michonne stood there for a bit, then she went and grabbed her two walkers, Echo helped Andrea up and they headed out the back way towards the woods.

Rick, Daryl, T-dog and Hershel were looking at the previsions they gathered on the table.

"Not bad" Daryl said.

Daryl and T-dog picked up some gear that they picked off and it was covered in some kind of slime.

"I ain't wearing this shit" Daryl said, wiping some of the slime off his hands.

"Hershel" Carol called out and motioned him to come to the room.

"Everything alright?" Rick asked.

"Yeah, nothing to worry about" Carol reassured, and she and Hershel left.

While Hershel and Lori talked, the others found some other gear that weren't covered in walker slime. Carl was trying on the helmet, but it was too big on him.

"You won't need that" Rick said and took the helmet from him, "I need you to stay put"

"You're kidding" Carl groaned.

"We don't know what's in there, something goes wrong, you're the last man standing, I need you to handle things here" Rick said.

"Sure" Carl agreed.

"Great, let's go" Rick said as he handed Carl the keys.

Rick, Daryl, T-dog, Glenn, Maggie and Hershel soon headed out to get a further look around the prison. Once they made it to a different part of the prison, Daryl unlocked the door and they began to search, it was darker in this part, but they had flashlights to help them out. They came across a few dead, mauled, bodies, but they continued on; Glenn sprayed an arrow on the wall so they wouldn't get lost, then when Maggie turned to move with the group and she accidentally ran into Glenn, causing her to yelp out in surprise.

They continued around a few corners, finding nothing but gnawed on bodies; but when they turned another corner, they saw a herd of walkers there and they were frantically trying to get out, but as they were going out the way they came, it was blocked by another group of walkers, so they had to go a different way. While running, Maggie and Glenn were cut off by some walkers and went in a different room. Rick, Hershel, T-dog and Daryl hid in a room as more walkers passed by.

"Where's Glenn and Maggie?" Rick asked.

"We have to go back" Hershel said.

"Which way?" Daryl questioned.

Rick soon looked through the window and they left as soon as the coast was clear; they walked down the hallway and called out for Maggie and Glenn. The two soon came out of the room once the walkers were gone, then they tried to call out for the others. Hershel heard Maggie's voice and followed it, and then as he was walking, a walker he was stepping over grabbed his leg and bit into his calf.

Hershel screamed out and the others soon came running and shot the walker. Maggie was crying out in panic and Glenn and T-dog helped carry Hershel out of the hall to try and find a way out. They soon came to double doors, but they were cuffed, T-dog cut the cuffs and they came into a cafeteria and T-dog and Daryl closed off the doors. Hershel was resting on the floor, crying out in pain; Rick tore the pants leg open to reveal the wound.

"Hold him down" Rick said as he took his belt off.

Rick tightened the belt around Hershel's leg to try and stop the bleeding.

"Only one way to keep you alive" Rick said as he grabbed the hatchet and started to cut off part of Hershel's leg.

Hershel passed out half way through it and after a few more hits, Rick cut his leg off.

"He's bleeding out" Rick panicked.

Daryl noticed something behind him and whispered, "Duck"

Daryl aimed his crossbow at the figures and flashed some light on them, revealing the figures to be surviving prisoners.

"Holy shit"
