Chapter 9

Cy's POV

I woke up to someone shaking me,

"Aaah.. whaaat?" I drawled, only flicking on my artificial eye, too tired to open my real one,

"Cy, It's morning, get your fat tail up." I groaned at the red haired mutant looking down to me, looking nearly completely human, she always seemed to unnerve every mutant around her, except for me and a few others. For reasons. Both her green and blue eye shone with impatience, common for a 13 year old. The newer combator was only noticeable as a mutant by the fox ears and fox tail which she donned proudly,

"Raquel, go the frick away."

"Get up." she demanded, "Your not sick."

"I'm. Tired."

"Hold on... I'm still looking for why I should care."

"I will murder you."

"up, Cy." she flicked my metal eye, which everyone knows I hate, and she continued to suit up with a leather jacket and a metal shirt, and other human like clothes that most of the mutants there didn't feel comfortable wearing. I, on the other hand also wore human clothes.

"Screeew you." I moaned, sitting up,

"You're still pissed?" Aryia snorted, "After three days? Frick, Cy, pull yourself together."

"Shut up." I snapped, I was never this moody, but then again nothing has ever left me in such... confusion before. I hated it. I wanted to know what in the name of Code Black was up. Why was Michelangelo lying to me? Nononono! No! If. If he was lying, then why. Is he lying? Am I in denial?

"Cyyyy?"

"Hm?!"

"You were just kinda staring... Are you okay?" Raquel asked,

"No," Aryia answered for me,

"I'm fine." I contradicted, Fixing my jacket, I nodded to my bunk-mates,

"Lets roll, people."

We strutted out, and I felt a bit better, feeling stupid for allowing Mitali to get to my head, and I actually felt good. On the way to the Grand dining Hall, we ran into Michelangelo, whom I introduced his apprentices to my bunk mates, Aryia didn't seem to care much, nothing abnormal there, shrugging it off after a 'how ya' doin'?', Raquel was just staring... awkwardly, ears down and everything, so strange for such an incredibly social mutant, that I noted to talk to her about it later.

We waved them off as they all got rounded into a friendly debate about something, for once I actually saw Michelangelo looking somewhat pleased while talking to his apprentices. For some reason, he didn't seem to like them all that much, but it seemed he was warming up to them, which was good.

"Um, Raquel,"

"mm?" she still seemed a bit dazed,

"You okay? You seemed a bit stunned,"

"um, you know Mike's apprentices? The one in the Red and Blue?"

"Raph and Leo?"

"uh huh,"

"what about them?"

"They're hoooot." I physically blanched,

"Oh heavens have mercy," I moaned,

"You have got to admit they are!"

"first off, no. I don't think they're hot. Two, even if I did think that, I'd never admit it. And three, for the love of all things rightous they're eighteen! Way older than you! No way."

"You think they'd go for me?"

"No."

"Do ya think we'd have tons in common?"

"No."

"Just a little in common then?"

"No."

"I seriously don't think age matters, think they'll sweep me off my feet?"

"No."

And as expected, this went on for way longer than it should have.

Michelangelo's POV

I flipped behind a barrel, and listened for movement, the enemy was hiding, behind a similar cover was Donatello, he looked mortified, he already had a large amount of red running down his face, his eye was shut, to keep the offending crimson to hurt his vision.

I was unscathed, thankfully, who knows where Raph and Leo went. Donatello bore a vest on his chest, similar to the one I wore, but my bulletproof vest had disappeared before this entire scenario started. I snuck a closer look at Donnie, he was in bad shape, fluids practically dripping from him all over, I'm surprised he's no keeling over in pain.

I motioned for him to stay there, he nodded silently. A single sound could blow our cover, then we were done for.

I needed to get over to Donnie, so that I did, I dove out of my cover, running, dodging and ignoring the shots that fired around me, move move move move move!

I finally managed to get back to Donnie, I fired my gun over the barrel, causing the enemies there to scatter,

What a mess. I sighed, I knew Donnie wouldn't be much help as of no- what? he was mouthing something to me, what?

what can I do?

I grinned, nodding, and gently Morse-coded a swift plan into his palm, I hope he still remembered Morse-code, years ago Leo demanded that we all learned. Raph refused, causing some huge confusion. So we dropped it, but I still remembered, and I hoped Donnie did too. I wan't waiting around for a sign of a yes or no, I just went out with the plan.

I ran around the left, screaming, not one of my normal tactics, but hey, that was the point.

My two offenders gasped, the taller one jumped out of the way, but I filled the hesitant one with fatal shots to the heart. And collapsed after a stern kick to the front and a "stay" from me.

"hold it right there." Donnie snarled, I looked up to see the other attacker, he was staring wide eyed at Donnie whom had his gun pointed at the poor attacker's heart.

"Don't do this." he mumbled as if that would help. I rested the barrel of my gun behind his head,

"Sorry Leo." I grinned, and fired.

Leo's POV

I felt the shot hit the back of my head, and Mikey kicked me in my back. ow...

"Game set, match." Mikey chuckled, "we win."

"This is stupid!" My partner in red groaned, I looked at Raphael, he had sat up, covered in paint. I rolled onto my back, and sat up. rubbing the back of my head, wiping away the liquid that was bright green. Stupid paintball.

` "Paintballs hurt." I groaned, accepting the hand that pulled me up, but was surprisingly Mikey's.

"they sure do, chief." he rolled his eyes, but I caught a smile on his lips before he turned.

"You okay, Donnie? did the paint get in your eye?" Mikey asked,

"I don't know," Donnie mumbled wiping away the red paint from his eye. "You really shouldn't be aiming for my eye, Leo." He huffed,

"I said I was sorry," I explained, as we all walked out of the training arena. "I was aiming for your head."

"thanks." Donnie responded slightly bitterly. Mikey seemed to slightly snicker at this,

"find something funny, paint-less?' Raph groaned to mikey,

"What's not funny about you guys? You're a mess, Raph's dead, Leo too, Donnie, well, if that was a real shot you would have bled out and keeled over right about..." He drew out the 'about' for a few seconds, "Now," He finished. "I was keeping an internal clock going, Donnie, you wouldn't have survived, Unless a medic with a blood bag and sterilized needle were rushing at us full speed. But, you guys are doing better, and..." he paused, but continued to walk, he looked over his shoulder with a smile, "I'm proud of you."

We all smiled, obviously. It was good to hear that,

"Now you filthies," he mumbled, pushing us into a different room with no door, he hit a button on the wall and cold water was raining harshly from the ceiling,

"Ahh!" we coursed in shock,

"Clean up." He ordered, and watched in amusement and we tried to get the paint off, but shivering.

I was doing my best, and eventually we got the paint off, and Mikey turned off the switch, but as soon as he did, and the torrent of water seized. I yelped backwards, there was someone standing right there!

"Ah!" Mikey even seemed a bit surprised, then he growled, "Scrapes and scabs, Newbie! What the heck were you doing?" he shouted,

"Nothin'" she grinned looking up at me.

"Um, hey, uh. You're Cy's friend... Rachel."

"Raquel"

"Right."

"SooooOOOooo..." she drew out, "Leonardo right? such a pretty name~"

"Um-"

"Oh for the love of-" Mikey mumbled, "Raquel, go do what your supposed to," He pointed away, sternly. Her ears dropped flat in disappointment,

"Call me," she whispered before running out,

"Pay no mind," Mikey said after Raquel had run out. "She's young, but don't underestimate her, she's still a better shot that you four."

"We're not that bad," I offered as we walked away, exiting the combator sector, He shrugged.

"You not as bad as you were,"

"C'mon," I nudged him in the side, "We're pretty good,"

"You're ruthless, and excitable. But other than that, childish at best." He shook his head, smiling.

"Childish? Pfft, let me tell you something," I snarled, grinning. And I took him down in a tackle, nothing that would hurt, of coarse. But enough for him to start fighting back, we wrestled on the ground for a while, just like old times. Raph and Donnie just looked on in amusement.

"You are in for it!" he laughed, By the time we both agreed to a truce, we were laughing like a bunch of drunkards,

"How unprofessional," Donnie teased,

"I'm not in this business to be professional," Mikey grinned.

the rest of the day was spent rather smoothly, we talked and laughed, and Mikey seemed to be happy we were here.

Mikey's POV

I can't really deny it at this point, I was having fun. I don't remember ever having this much fun with my former family before. but I was glad they were here. As long as no one find out we're brothers.

we were walking in a less crowded hall, just making the most of our afternoon break. When a brown streak zoomed into my vision, and was sitting on my nose.

"Mm?" I finally focused on a very small mongoose wearing too large glasses, and a lab-coat,

"Ello, Mik-el!" She grinned and waved, then zoomed to stand on Raphael's shoulder,

"agh!"

"Ello! I Harrieta Mongoose!" she then held up a rather large needle "An' I take your blood!"

"what?!"

"Careful careful, blood may be toxic," she said while jamming the needle into his neck taking a gracious amount of blood.

"The blood's not toxic Harrieta." I assured her, as she went to the others taking the blood in different needles. They all swayed a bit,

"C'mon, let's get some food in you guys." knowing that either Harrieta needed tons of blood, or she just took way too much all the time.

"Why did that brown rat take our blood?" Raph demanded, slightly tired from the blood loss,

"She was a mongoose," Donnie slurred. I chuckled,

"Yeah well, they need to do blood tests so they can perfect the serum for the Testing of membership."

"oh," they coursed,

"It will also show that your related, so they can put you three into a Family Bunker, so, you three will probably bunk together," Leo looked to the right for a second, then the ground, then he closed his eyes with a sigh, whenever he did that, that was his little indication that he was about to ask something inappropriate. Wait for it...

"Why don't you join our family unit, Mikey?" there it was.

"Michelangelo." I corrected sternly, "And anyway, not can know we're blood related. Okay? No one. And plus when Cy and I marry, We'll be a part of our own family unit. alright?"

"yeah." Leo mumbled, he wasn't happy about it, neither were Donnie or Raph. But I didn't have choice here! At first I didn't want anyone to know because I didn't see them as my brothers anymore. But now, it's something way more serious.

I shuddered, NO ONE better find out.

Donnie's POV

"So, Mike. what are we doing exactly?" Leo asked for the fifth time, who was shut up with a overly stern look.

"You'll find out eventually, Leo." He growled.

We trekked though the graciously lit, winding halls. Mikey was being pretty mysterious about this.

"finally," He mumbled, grinning. he opened a closet, and tossed what looked like a large circut board to each of us. These circut boards were really heavy, and were in the shape of snow boards.

He pulled on dark blue finger-less gloves, and weird sock-like things, that were toe-less, and only went up half of his shin. He tossed up similar gear to us.

"suit up and don't ask questions." we followed his orders without question. WE trusted him, but didn't mean this wasn't strange. Once we had the strange gear on, he stepped onto his circuit board, and looked to us, inviting us to do the same.

I love technology, but why are we standing on circuit boards?

"On." He demanded, stomping his heel on the board.

"...Um. Mike? Are you okay-"

"power on" it hissed, and lit up in bright Orange, with multicolored circuit veins running through it, and it lifted a foot off the ground, and grinned.

"What?!" I exclaimed, "What kind of machinery is this?"

"Hover boards." He said swiftly, "Now are you gonna come or just stand there with your mouths open?"

We didn't need to be told twice.

"this is so cool!" Leo laughed, Mikey grinned, and showed off with flips and impossible turns.

"Mikey!" I called when I finally caught up to him,

"it's Michel-"

"How do these things work? Electromagnetic waves bouncing off the metals in the earth's core?!"

"How should I know?!" He demanded, laughing. "try leaning backwards guys!" He advised, and to our surprise, we raised higher! the ceiling was rather high, so we had tons of room.

Raphael's POV

all good things must have a stopping point, and that stopping point just so happened to be a Tan furred wolf who was an actual censor.

Mikey made an abrupt halt, making up all crash into his shell.

"Uh, Mitali! hey,"

"Michelangelo." She smiled with a giggle, "having fun are we?"

"please don't tell the chief" she tapped her chin a few times,

"Alright, I'll let you and your apprentices pass." she grinned,

"Thanks Mitali, I owe you one."

"Well, since you owe me one, why don't you introduce me to your little crew here? I don't think we've ever met.

"This is Leonardo, Raphael, and Donatello." We all waved awkwardly, seeming a bit embarrassed. But she seemed nice enough.

"Nice to meet you all, I am Mitali. huh, you all have renaissance artist names? very strange..."

"How about that guys?" Mikey let out a small laugh, looking us in a concerned fear, "I never thought of that. huh, strange right guys?"

"yeah, funny how you all look so much alike too." She stared insistently,

"yeah, genetics are kind strange like that."

"You all wear the same masks..."

"M-Mitali?"

"you all have the same skills, and you had similar weapons. Funny Michelangelo... You wouldn't happen to be related to them, would you?"

"No," He was sweating now, I had a feeling his denial ran deeper than a simple grudge,

"You can't fool me Michelangelo. It's obvious. Now, you know what will happen if others find out, don't you?"

"they won't find out."

"Oh?"

"Yes?"

"No." Mikey's hands were clenched into fists, but they were shaking, there is something wrong.

"Look, I can make sure this never gets out to anyone,"

"Y-you can?"

"Of coarse I can! I am Mitali, nothing is an issue for me,"

"thank you-"

"But there's a price," she grinned, and slowly made to way to stand directly in front of Michelangelo. She ran a clawed finger down his front.

"P-Price?" He was blushing madly now. I really wanted to grab her by the throat, and throw her across the Lodging just for touching him. But not only was Leo's arm across my chest, in the 'Don't interfere' fashion, but I needed to see how this all played out.

"Mmm hmm~" she said in a sing-song voice,

"O-Okay Mitali... w-whaat kind of price?"

"You have to leave Cy," as if that didn't make him flinch enough, "for me." He pushed her away roughly, but she was strong, and hardly faltered.

"NO!" he screamed, "NO! NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!"

"Oh?" she growled,

"That's right!" He pointed at her, "I will never leave Cy! And I will never be with you!"

"It's rude to point, Michelangelo. And if you want your secret to get out..."

"No. But that doesn't matter," He growled, "You have no proof, you have no actual proof." He pulled us together under his arms, "Yeah, these rascals are my brothers. My older brothers. And you know what? You'll never come between us." I felt my heart race, did he just...? Did he just admit we're his brothers?

"I don't care what any stinkin law says. You will never get any proof that we're related other than a few half-brained rumors. So there. You'll never have any proof. And I'm going to ask Cy to Marry me. What now?!"

She lowered her ears, and growled at us,

"You've made a huge mistake, Michelangelo. You'll be sorry. VERY sorry."

"Oh I'm sure," Leo sneered.

"See ya!" I taunted, and threw down my last ninja smoke bomb. We then appeared in an empty hallway, laughing and cheering. Feeling like everything was back to normal.

"High-three!" Mikey called, and as always, we brought it in.

Cy's POV

"Cy. Cy the lovely freak of a freak." I turned to who said that in the deep silk-like voice.

"Mitali. Leave, I'm not in the mood to deal with you're... uncertainties to spead." I told her as I walked down the empty hall.

She laughed at me, and I turned my back to her, and begun to walk away.

"I do not have time for this."

"But aren't you wondering what I have here?" she inquired, I stopped int my tracks out of curiosity, and turned to face her after hearing the sounds of shaking papers.

"What's that?" I nodded to her paw after fully turning.

"Come here and see,"

"You come here." I growled, which she flicked an ear at this, shrugged, and came over agonizingly slow, or maybe normal, but I was so high strung, I could hardly breathe.

She showed a bunch of papers with strange visuals and numbers.

"what's this? What does this mean to me?"

"it's a standard copy of a blood test. It helps the scientists perfect the Apportion day serum for the specific individuals to take the test."

"Alright. What does this mean to me? I'm not a scientist."

"I actually have four here," she purred, if wolves could 'purr' "notice anything similar about these pictures?" she held up a picture that was in a horizontal like grid. it had black parts filled in wherever, it was random, I knew that, it was a blood test. But these four we're almost completely similar, almost, showing that it was four different blood reports.

"They're similar." I stated,

"Very observant," I couldn't tell if she was being sarcastic or not.

"So, what about it? What do you want me to do about it?"

"Well, first tell me, what do you think these four are? just coincidentally similar?"

"coarse not," I mumbled, "probably... siblings, I'm guessing, or a parent-child relationship. That could be the only thing."

"Well well, Cy." she grinned, "You were right. They're siblings." she shoved the files into my hands,

"What?"

"look long and hard at the files. Look at the names."

Michelangleo Combator, Leonardo TBA, Raphael TBA, Donatello TBA

"What?" I felt my nerves fry, I was shaking so hard, tears formed in my eyes. It was true. They were brothers. But the Law... no.

"I can't marry Michelangleo."

"Correct." Mitali snarled,

"But... maybe he's older-"

"oh please." Mitali snarled, "He's the smallest of them, they are undoubtedly older, and you, according to the law we stand by here, you cannot marry him." I let out a shaky breath, I couldn't breathe. I was already 'Promised' to that specific family of one. "but that's alright, I'm sure you'll be happy with the eldest. What was his name? Leonardo? Or was the elder Raphael? Oh who cares? But I'm glad you'll still be able to mate." with an amused grin she left, waving her hand.

"Don't worry about returning those! They already have a few more copies, consider it a gift from me to you."

I stared at the forms not able to stop looking from the names and the blood prints.

please no. no no nono... I can't marry Michelangelo if he has brothers of his same age

But what law? Why can't Cy be with Michelangelo? Why does it matter? MWAHAHAHA YOU'LL FIND OUT NEXT TIIIIME!

I'm so mean, and I love you guys! *Strangles Mitali*

Aryia and Raquel do not belong to me, they are a part of the OC contest that for some reason NO ONE is entering...

I had so much fun with those two believe me, and don't worry, Raquel won't stalk those two TOO much ;) We've all had crushes on elder boys before, c'mon admit it, you know it!
