Anyways, this chapter was written on a series of sugar highs, so...please don't judge the weirdness.

Kickin It is mine. Whatcha gonna do?! Jk, jk lol...I wish xD I also don't own Naruto, Pokémon, and Beyblade, although they are all very nice things to own...

Happy Reading Y'all!

Chapter 9: Attack of the Killer Cookies
Kim's POV

Okay, we were in the kitchen. That was a good start. Meanwhile, Nicole was bouncing everywhere and saying all sorts of things at a speed that my ears could barely keep up with. I sweat dropped as I thought to myself, 'Is it really a good idea to give this girl more sugar?' Thankfully, I didn't have to think on that topic any further as she paused to take a breath.

"So, Kim. What kind of cookies should we make? We can make chocolate chip or sugar or peanut butter or oatmeal raisin except I don't like oatmeal raisin 'cause its too healthy to be a cookie so maybe we can make something else like Christmas cookies except for this season but I have no idea what kind of cookies people eat in summer when it's about to turn into fall but hasn't yet so maybe we should just-" She stopped when she saw my mouth which was so far south, it made Texas look like the North Pole. "What's wrong with your mouth, Kim?"

"Whoa girl, that is one fast yapper you got there," was the wonderfully insightful statement I made at that point in time. A tiny smirk crawled its way up her face as she replied,

"Life's too short to talk slow, blondie." Yep, this was definitely a Brewer girl, all right.

"Okay, listen here Nicole. You seem like a cool girl, and I think we'll get along fine. But one thing you need to know is that my name is Kim AND NOTHING ELSE. 'Kay? Good, I'm glad we understand each other." I smiled sweetly at her nervous expression. "Grab whatever you have that works for cookies, we need to see the choices first."

"Um, okay..." She said as she reached up to the top shelf, grabbing some marshmallows, chocolate chips, and a gazillion other sugary things. I turned around and searched for the bowls and the eggs, milk, flour- pretty much all the boring ingredients. Eventually, we began our cookie baking mission.

"So Nicole. How's Nate been at school?"

"Most. Annoying. Kid. EVER!" She said. For some reason, I had no problem believing that. "I mean, he threw pencil lead in my hair!" Yep, my brother for sure.

We kept talking, and I got to know her pretty well. I think she has a fair understanding of me, too. I like her overall, Nicole is a pretty fun ten year old. Way better than her brother.

"Hey blondie. Hi Nicole." I glared at the peanut butter that I was currently scooping into the dough when he said blondie.

"What do you want Jack?" I said without turning.

"Nothing, I just wanted to see you. Is that a bad thing?" I could practically hear that smirk.

"Anything that has to do with you is a bad thing."

"Awww, don't be like that Kimmy," his voice suddenly whispered into my ear. Wtf?!

"AAAAAAAAAHH!" I screamed and jumped about a million miles high. "JACK YOU SCARED THE COOKIE DOUGH OUT OF ME!" I heard Nicole snickering at my reaction. I glared at her before moving onto Jack. "And you... You, my friend, are going. To. SUFFER!" I yelled as I grabbed a huge spoonful of peanut butter and smeared it all over his face and hair. Satisfied with my work, I turned around and said, "Now leave me alone."

"Oh, I don't think I can do that Kimmy." At this I looked up and began to turn to question him, but then his arms encircled me in a close embrace. "And I don't think you want me to leave you alone." He said, pressing his peanut butter-covered face into the base of my neck. I felt my face heat up. That's disgusting.

"Jack. I'm counting to two. TWO!" I yelled before squirming fiercely.

"Whoa, someone's feisty. But that's okay, it makes things fun." He held on to me tighter and I felt his smirk. Ewww...

Okay, I'm so done with this!

"Let. Go. Of. Me. Or I will kill you. You choose." I said menacingly. Turning my head to glare at him, I found a pair of warm chocolatey eyes gazing back at me.

"You and I both know you like me way too much to do that."

"You are so irritating, I hate you so much, and you won't get any cookies." I said. He let go of me to gasp dramatically.

"No, Kimmy, take anything but the cookies!" I just rolled my eyes and called out to Nicole.

"Hey, can you pass me the chocolate chips?"

"Yeah, sure. Here's one...and the other," she said, sliding a bag of milk chocolate chips and then some white chocolate chips over to me. I dumped some into the cookie dough and gently folded them in with my hands.

"Fine, ignore me then! But I'll be back for my cookies. And we have a song to practice, don't forget!" Jack said, walking out of the kitchen.

Once he was out of hearing range, Nicole came over to me and said, "He sooooo likes you."

"Whaaaat?!" I said, my voice rising many octaves. "One, that is not true. Two, what would you know about how guys think? And three, how would you know how JACK, of all people thinks?!"

She flipped her straight brown hair back over her shoulder and said, "He's a Brewer boy, and my brother. Any other questions?" She answered me with a smirk. I hate that smirk.

"NO. We have cookies to bake." I turned away from her.

"You know, Kim, I think you're gonna be a fun sister for me to have." This caught me by total surprise.

"Oh no, Nicole, I think you got this all wrong, I'm just living with you guys for a month, that's all! But I guess I could be your sister for a month..." I said.

"Oh, I think you'll be my sister for much longer than a month." Her mouth twisted into a mischievous smile. Oh no.

"Nicole? What are you thinking now?" We were at the stage where we roll out the little balls and put them on the cookie sheet. I tore a piece of parchment paper off and placed it on the cookie sheet before she put the dough on the cookie sheet.

"Oh, nothing much...just about how cute you and Jack would look together."

What?! "Okay, Nicole, as much as I appreciate your opinion as a ten year old, I don't need you to go all mini-matchmaker on me."

"Mini-matchmaker?! No way. I do everything full size, if not bigger." She grinned at this. I sighed and slid the cookies into the oven. Grabbing a paper towel and wiping the peanut butter off my neck and shoulder (thanks a lot, Jack.),I asked Nicole,

"Where's your TV? Lets watch something while the cookies are in the oven."

"Okay! It's right over this way..." Once I set the timer, she dragged me through the hallway and made a sudden turn into another hallway and it sort of went on like this for a while, but we did end up in a nice little gigantic humungadunga THEATER.

...

Will I ever get used to how rich the Brewer family is?!

"Hey, Kim! What do you wanna watch?" Nicole asked, gesturing to a WHOLE WALL OF MOVIES. And trust me on this, it was a BIG wall.

...Answer: No, I will never get used to how rich the Brewers are.

After a long, hard, life-changing decision between Naruto, Pokémon, and Beyblade Metal Fury (what?! I like my anime!), I chose Pokémon Heroes, one of my favoritest movies EVAAAA!

"...Kim? Did you just call Pokémon Heroes your favoritest movie evaaaa?"

"Yes. Yes I did. You just be jelly o' mah coolness, yo."

"Um. Ok then." We turned to the tv and I felt myself tingling with anticipation. I loved this movie, especially the ending, oh my god!

"Oh my god, I love Pokémon!" Nate ran into the room (from where, I don't know) and yelled. He plopped down next to me on the couch and we watched the movie for the next 30 minutes or so.

30 minutes later...

"OH MY GOD I FORGOT ABOUT THE COOKIES! AAAAAAAAHHH!" I jumped off the couch and yelled. I broke into a wild sprint for the kitchen. When I somehow reached a kitchen, I pulled to a sudden stop, trying to catch my breath...and realized that NOTHING WAS BURNING. Hmmm.

Lifting my eyes off the floor, I saw a certain flippy-haired brunette looking at me with an amused glint in his eyes and a raised eyebrow. In his arms were the cookies I came to rescue from the oven's wrath. Not a single one was burnt.

"Oh, shut it you." I grumbled.

"What did I do?" Jack asked, hints if laughter coming through. I glared at him.

"Stop laughing at me."

"I'm not laughing at you." He was smiling more and more by the second. It wasn't a bad look on him at all, but it was at my expense, so I wasn't loving it at the moment.

"Shut up..."

By now he wasn't even trying to hide his laughter.

"Augh!" I have officially given up. But I didn't try to hide the smile slowly making its way onto my face. He does really have a nice laugh, it makes everyone around him smile.

Hmmm. I sort of like this nicer side of Jack a teensy bit more than the one from school. You know, the smiling and laughing, rather than the smirking and flirting. But just a little. You know. Yeah. Cuz, I don't like him. In any way. Yeah. Because, like, he's...not my type. There we go. Exactly.

...Yeah.

Sooooo I have no idea what this chapter was supposed to be, I kinda just wanted to update. Thank you all for reading, I love you all!

And btw, I really am an anime freak, I love Naruto, the older seasons of Pokémon, and Beyblade Metal Fusion, Metal Masters, and Metal Fury (the others...not so much. They don't have my Kyoya ;) )

Sorry for my useless talking, but thanks anyways for reading, byeeeee!
