It was a beautiful day in Konoha and Naruto was currently thinking- not surprisingly- about his girlfriend. She was due back from her week long mission tonight and she had absolutely guaranteed him that she would be spending the night with him. This was something he was really looking forward to, he couldn't wait to have her in his arms again.
A lot of their friends always made fun of him for being so sappy when it came to his emotions but he really couldn't help himself. He wore his emotions on his sleeve, he always did. It didn't help that every time she went for a mission all he could think of was her coming back to the hospital or even worse in a body bag. That's why he always treasured every single minute he spent with her, he always made sure to show her just how much love he held for her.
They had been very happy together and very…sexually active. His mind snuck in. He groaned in irritation at his perverted mind. He was always happy to just cuddle with her and hug her and kiss her but when they lay together at night he always found the craving for intimacy to become known.
They've been quite busy since the first time they had fulfilled each other's craving many months ago. He remembered waking up the next day feeling incredibly guilty that their first time had been so…messy for a lack of a better word.
He-like many others- had always thought they would be intimate with each other in the most romantic and softest way possible. She deserved that, Hinata was so gentle and kind that he couldn't imagine their first time being so heated.
She looked like she didn't mind at all, she had simply pulled him in close by his hair and kissed him deeply thanking him for the perfect night. Looking back on it now he decided he loved the way it occurred as well.
So, technically it wasn't his fault that his sex drive went through the roof at night. It's her fault, he decided. Too busy thinking about the night to come the blonde didn't notice a pale fist being thrown towards his face. It connected with his left cheek viciously and sent him flying more than 5 feet back.
"What the hell Sasuke?!" The blonde yelled, outraged.
"It's called a spar for good reason, idiot." The brunette scoffed.
"Asshole." Naruto muttered under his breath.
"What the hell's got you so out of it anyways?"
Blue eyes glazed over and a dreamy sigh left his mouth as he answered. "Hinata comes home today."
"So?"
"She's staying with me tonight." A small blush adorned his whiskered cheeks and he looked towards the village gates hoping to catch a glimpse of her.
"Oh." The Uchiha answered simply while an almost unnoticeable blush appeared on his otherwise pale face.
"Are you blushing teme?" The blonde asked astonished until the reason why he was blushing clicked in his mind. "HEY! Stop being a pervert, I haven't even said we're going to…"
"Shut the fuck up." Sasuke seethed through clenched teeth.
"Fine. But you better not be thinking about Hinata with that blush." The jinchuuriki retaliated seriously, making sure his best friend knew he wasn't playing around anymore.
Sasuke shook his head at the other male in disappointment at his stupidity. Of course he wasn't thinking about Hinata, he was wondering if he could get Sakura to spend tonight with him too. At least the blonde was good for giving satisfying ideas. It's been awhile since she spent the night at his place, always so busy at the hospital. But he figured since their first time happened so long ago they were bound to slow down eventually.
FLASHBACK
It was the middle of the night and Sasuke had finally closed his eyes to get as little sleep as he would normally get. It aggravated him beyond belief that there was suddenly desperate, chaotic knocking at his door. He was almost about to ignore it but decided that he would answer and see what this person wanted after all.
He opened his door with a scowl on his handsome face to find Hinata resting her hands on her knees and panting heavily. Her clothes were dark blue and he noticed the distinct scent of metal, there was blood all over her. Still, he didn't fret. Whatever had happened to her was not his business, it was Naruto's mainly.
"Sasuke!" She panted out franticly.
"What?" He asked stoically.
"It's Sakura!" She screamed and that got his nerves working.
He took hold of her shoulders and shook her violently making her wince, she was probably hurt too but he didn't care, he needed to know what was happening."What happened?"
"She's hurt really bad, lost a lot of blood and is in the hosp…" She couldn't even finish since Sasuke had taken off in a fast sprint towards what she assumed was the direction the hospital was in.
He had gotten there extremely quickly and noticed Naruto barge in slightly behind him, both were clueless as to what was happening. They didn't get any answers when they got there, only that Tsunade and Shizune were currently working on stabilizing her and that it could take awhile.
It didn't take more than 25 minutes later for Hinata to stumble in through the door, clothes changed and face cleaned. "Do you know anything?" She asked the two males in the waiting area. Both shook their heads and she simply nodded and sat beside her boyfriend.
It was almost 2 hours later that Tsunade came out. "She's stable but she has lost a lot of blood and is unconscious right now. She should be waking up tomorrow or the day after, you two can go inside…" She said pointing to the two males. "I'd like to speak to Hinata about what happened."
Naruto turned to look at his girlfriend who offered him a smile and told him she would be alright. It was about half an hour when she returned to the room with bandages around her wrist and a few on her face. She looked at Sakura on the bed and her two teammates who sat on either side. She stood at the foot of the bed smiling softly at the trio.
"You okay?" She heard Naruto ask her and it startled her. She only nodded dismissing his worried frown.
"What happened?" Sasuke asked hoping he wouldn't have to elaborate.
He didn't. Hinata understood perfectly.
"Sakura-chan was sent on a low-rank mission to accompany come chunnins. They were only out to get some medicinal herbs and come back…" Tsunade had told her. "I'm not sure how it happened but they were ambushed. I was coming back from my mission and found her fighting off 20 rogue…" she faltered a bit when she saw Sasuke's scowl deepen.
"I assume she told the chunnin to go back and get help since she was by herself. I helped her finish off the last remaining but she had already lost a lot of blood. I carried her back and came and got you as soon as possible." She finished off with a frown.
He cleared his throat uncomfortably and his onyx eyes didn't stray from the petite pinkette. "Thanks."
Alarmed the Hyuuga only nodded and left the teammates alone. Both Sakura's teammates rested on either side of her bed but it was Sasuke who stayed through the nights.
It had been a week before Sakura was deemed well enough to go home and to be honest it was a week she wouldn't relive. Sasuke, always being known as calm and stoic hovered over her like a swarm of bees! She couldn't even sleep peacefully knowing he was just watching her.
At one point she had actually told him he was being annoying which made him smirk and respond something like "The roles have reversed." It angered her so much she had used her injured arm to smack him in the face, something her twelve year old self would never do.
By the end of the week she was ready to get home but Sasuke insisted that she stay at his house which she agreed to only after a long conversation.
Arguing with him was pointless; he countered every good argument she proposed as to why she shouldn't stay at his place. He also glared at her until she caved, which was so unfair. Who knew Uchiha Sasuke had the world's cutest puppy dog face.
He told Sakura he would take care of all her clothes and necessities and that he would pick her up in 20 minutes.
He searched for the idiot and his girlfriend, finally finding them in the middle training field, not doing a lot of training but instead laughing and smiling. Sasuke barged in demanding that Hinata retrieve Sakura's clothes and drop them off at his house. She sighed at his manners but agreed and began walking towards Sakura's apartment.
Naruto, not liking his best friend's tone growled animalistic-like letting a slither of the Kyuubi known. It was a warning. "If you ever talk to her like that again you'll be receiving more than a rasengan up your ass."
With that the blonde walked in the direction his girlfriend headed and left the Uchiha standing by himself who immediately took off for the hospital once more. He didn't doubt he deserved that warning but he had other important matters on his mind.
Meanwhile Naruto and Hinata were packing when the bluenette spoke up to ease the tension she had noticed her boyfriend carry. "It's alright Naruto-kun. He's just worried about Sakura-chan, I understand."
He looked towards her with a caring smile though his eyes were still fierce, she was too nice for her own good. "I know but still, he shouldn't talk to you like that. I won't let him. He can say whatever he wants to me but you're off limits."
She giggled at his protectiveness but let it go. "Okay, let's just get this stuff to Sasuke's."
Hinata and Naruto had managed to drop off the clothes without another incident and the pinkette invited them to join for dinner. The Kyuubi holder was still pissed and kept avoiding Sasuke's gaze while he shook his head kindly at his other teammate, denying her invitation. He declared he had big dinner plans for himself and Hinata.
Night time rolled around quickly and Sakura lay on the bed beside her still angry looking boyfriend. It was getting to the point where it was very awkward, no one spoke a word. She was finally dosing off when Sasuke grabbed her arm tightly.
She turned to look at him only to be alarmed by the pained expression on his face. "You can't die." He said simply with a strained voice.
Emerald eyes grew in surprise but she maintained her composure. "Look at me…" She urged while placing a calming hand on his cheek. "I'm alive."
He shook his head desperately trying to ignore the burning in his eyes. "No. You don't understand, everyone I've ever loved has died..you…you can't." He snarled.
Her heart broke when she heard him speaking in such a scared voice, this wasn't the Sasuke she grew up with. Her Sasuke was never afraid. "I'm not going anywhere Sasuke. I'm right here, right in front of you." She whispered softly, dispelling those fearful thoughts.
He looked at her with serious eyes and in astoundingly soft voice he asked her "You'll stay?"
She smiled beautifully at him and nodded. "Forever." She assured before kissing him.
That night was magical. Sasuke had treated as if she were a delicate, priceless flower only to come by once in a lifetime. He was caring and gentle, not at all Sasuke like but she loved it even more. It was still early in their relationship, some would say too early to be sleeping together but she didn't care, this had been the man she was in love with since she was a child. They were ready for this step.
END FLASHBACK
"You guys alright?" Sakura asked as she walked near her two teammates who seemed dazed. Still she received no answer. "Look who I found by the gate." She tried, hoping Naruto would snap out of his daze.
"Hina-chan!" Naruto yelled while picking her up excitedly. "How was the mission?"
"It was good, just really tiring. Can we go home?"
The smile that bloomed on his face from her calling his apartment home could've lit up the entire village. "Of course, let's go." He answered while cradling her in his arms, much to her embarrassment.
Sakura was left laughing at the affectionate couple while Sasuke stealthily snuck behind her and kissed her neck. "I love you." He declared out of the blue and it shocked her. He barely ever said those words and when he did she basically had to pry them out.
"I love you too." She answered effortlessly while grasping his hand and pulling him in the direction of his home.

She was stupid to have invited Takeo along with them! Neji was so angry with her, he barely looked in her direction.
"Neji." She called to him while Takeo looked for some fruit in the forest they were currently in. He didn't answer her, like usual.
"Neji!" She tried again with a more aggressive voice, she had enough of this. "I will find a way to kick you if you don't look at me."
Sighing Neji turned to his ex-teammate answering in a surly tone. "What?"
"You're angry because I invited Takeo." She stated as a matter of fact.
"I'm not." He rudely responded.
"Then why do you look like you're constantly sucking on a lemon?"
He growled in annoyance at her cleverly describing his sour looking face but answered nonetheless. "He's slow. It's taking us a long time to get to certain places."
"He's not a ninja." She argued softly.
"I don't care."
TenTen sighed tiredly, she didn't want to argue with him, she only wanted to help him. Ever since Takeo had joined in he had been aggravated all the time, he barely looked at her or spoke to her and it was incredibly upsetting.
"Sorry. I'll see if we can move faster." She said dejectedly.
Neji noticed her dampened mood and felt like shit. He hadn't wanted to make her upset but he was angry that Takeo had tagged along. He always saw them talking and smiling and even laughing! Takeo made her happy and this bugged him.
He was sure of his feelings for her now but it didn't make a difference, she was a live and he was still dead.
"No, TenTen. It's not your fault. I apologize for overreacting." He said sincerely and moved closer to her.
She looked up into his eyes in surprise but didn't move away from him. She saw him smile and felt her own lips tug upwards. Before she could even process their proximity he spoke again. "You two are very open with each other, it bothers me a little."
She laughed softly at his words and shook her head. "I talk with him because I can't very well talk with you without seeming insane."
"I guess." He said not looking at her but she sensed how uncomfortable he felt. She on the other hand felt great. Neji was jealous! That had to mean he felt something for her, didn't it?
She smiled softly at him and brought her hand up to his face, ghosting above his cheek. She knew she couldn't touch him but this felt nice, being in his presence without him scowling or glaring at her.
"TenTen, I have to tell you something." She heard him say and she looked into his pale eyes expectantly, her own glowing with excitement. Maybe he would confess to her right now.
"I…" He began before he got interrupted.
"Hey! I found an abundance of berries so I brought a lot, I hope you're hungry." Takeo declared as he barged into their conversation unknowingly.
The brunette's smile faltered when she noticed the pale man in front of her lock his jaw. He huffed angrily and turned around to start walking away from them. Sighing and gathering her composure once more TenTen turned to look at the other brown haired male and smiled a tight lip smile.
"That's good! I'm really hungry."
It seemed like maybe Neji wasn't meant to confess to her…yet. But he would, once they found his body and she could officially hug him and touch him. It was something she looked forward to.

"Shika…" His girlfriend called out while they attempted to cook dinner at her apartment. "Have you noticed something odd with Hinata?"
"Odd?" He asked confused.
"Yeah. I think she misses TenTen. They were like best friends right?"
"I guess." He answered not knowing why they were talking about this.
"Do you think she'll come back soon?" She asked earnestly. Her and Hinata had gotten so close since they started living with each other and she hated seeing the petite brunette so upset. It didn't help that she almost never slept.
Hinata assumed she was being sneaky when she exited their apartment but Temari always noticed. She had followed her once and ended up in the cemetery. Hinata stood at the base of Neji's grave for hours and from then on Temari never followed her again.
The battle Hinata was fighting had to be fought on her own. It just annoyed her that the girl wouldn't talk about it with anyone. Not even Naruto, which she only knew because the blonde had asked her if she knew what was happening with Hinata a few months ago.
She had advised him to the best of her ability to be patient with her and give her time which he seemed to have been doing but she still sensed his worry even now.
"She'll come back when she's ready." She heard Shikamaru answer and she scowled at him, he wasn't being helpful.
"I guess."
"So what're we making?" The brunette asked his girlfriend. He had no idea what to do with the raw veggies that he held. Since he had lived his entire life with his mother he never learned how to cook and even being a genius couldn't help you in the kitchen.
She laughed at the irony behind the genius- right hand man to the Hokage- being completely clueless in the kitchen."It's called stir fry. Basically we fry rice and add in the veggies gradually so they don't overcook. We can add in some soy and hot sauce. It's delicious."
He looked disgusted by the thought of mixing hot sauce and veggies but decided to stay quiet and follow his girlfriend's orders. This past year and a half with her had been incredible, he honestly felt like he was on cloud nine all the time and always thought about making this more permanent.
He started at the thought and calculated the chances of her actually agreeing to be with him forever. Do I really want this? He questioned himself and his answer came almost immediately.
Yes.
He glanced at her from the corner of his eye and smiled at the soft expression she had on her face, most people didn't know this but she loved to cook. It was relaxing for her and she always gained this heart-stirring smile. Suddenly the image of this being an everyday occurrence stuck in his mind. Living with her, cooking with, even sleeping with her. He wanted all of this with her and in that instant he decided.
Taking one more glance at the blonde beside him he noted his heart skip a beat. She was the one, she was always the one.
She was the girl he wanted to marry.
"Smells good!" Naruto exclaimed as he walked through the door, his lovely girlfriend draped in his arms.
Temari snorted at the blonde's loud voice but smiled softly at the couple, they were really perfect for each other. "Hey idiot."
The blonde rolled his eyes at the comment but walked right into the kitchen, invading their privacy. "Haha, I'd never thought I'd see Shikamaru in an apron."
Hinata giggled with her boyfriend who was laughing uncontrollably. Shikamaru gained a noticeable blush and started taking the discriminating piece of clothing off.
Temari only shook her head at the boys who were invading her kitchen and escorted them out of the kitchen and into the living room. Hinata had already left to go to her bedroom. "You can stay here while Hinata helps me finish up dinner. I am assuming you'll be staying." She looked towards the blonde with blue eyes.
He rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly and shook his head. "I'm afraid not. Hinata just came back from her mission and well we just came here to get some clothes. I'm not really hungry." He admitted while waiting for his girlfriend to come back from her room.
"Not hungry for food you mean." She stated as if the whole world knew about the perverted thoughts he had about Hinata.
An immediate blush lit up his face and he shifted, uncomfortable with this conversation. It was Shikamaru's turn to laugh at the blonde and his discomfort.
"Why are you so goddamn blunt?" Naruto questioned aggressively, trying to fight down the blush that was still present on his face.
The curvy, older girl merely smirked at Naruto while waving a hand dismissively and going back into the kitchen. The blonde turned to the brunette next to him and asked honestly. "How do you handle her?"
The genius shrugged and looked toward the kitchen entrance, hoping to catch a glimpse of Temari. "I love her." He muttered affectionately while standing up and following his girlfriend's footsteps.
Naruto sighed in understanding and turned to look at the girl who had just popped out of the hallway with a small pack. "You know you should just leave clothes at my house, you're over there a lot anyways."
"I guess." She said with a smile before going to say goodbye to the others.
"Don't do anything crazy!" Naruto called out before getting slapped on the arm by the bluenette and giving him a slight glare.
Little did they know, in the mind of a genius he was wondering if proposing to someone would be considered crazy at all.
