Chapter 8: Dark Moon
"I can already taste the tears of those who are about to be destroyed." Razenoid remarked, hatching from his egg.
"Nothings compares to what comes next." Mag-Mel added. "The utter and complete destruction of Earth. But first, before I could end the miserable existence of every last human, I will show them fear they have never known. They will live just as you and I were forced to; in the dark and twisted dimension. Their final moments will be spent thinking about us!"
"Where are all the people?" Dan gaped, the Dark Moon's energy waves sending all the non-Battlers to the reverse dimension.
"It's like they've just vanished." Ben gulped.
"Let's just say I have to clear the field in order to focus on the final battle." Mag-Mel chuckled, appearing in the sky.
"I don't like the sound of this at all." Shun remarked.
"Where did everybody go?" Dan demanded.
"Once again, you're focusing on the wrong thing, Kuso." Mag-Mel chided. "But since you asked, I've sent them all away to the dark reverse dimension of this world."
"Those poor people…" Marucho muttered. "It's our fault."
"Let those people go, Mag-Mel!" Dan glared. "Your feud's with us, not them. You understand?"
"I admire your fire, Kuso." Mag-Mel noted. "But your naïve ideal is so pathetic. That's enough talking for now. Behold! I've despatched five of my deadliest Razen Titans to the five biggest cities across your pathetic excuse for a planet. If you don't try to stop them in time… impossible!" he exclaimed, a powerful yet serene Cosmo flooded from the dark moon. "That Cosmo… you're still alive, Léarin?"
"What have you done to her, Mag-Mel?" Shun snapped.
"It's her decision, boy." Mag-Mel replied. "To be locked up within the Main Breadwinner as water pours from the outlets from the walls, in an attempt to halt the destruction of Earth."
"What the heck is it doing?" Paige wondered when the Subterra Titan started burrowing into the ground with its tail laser.
"That looks to me like a super intensity high-laser drill." Paige replied.
"If they drill into the Earth's core…" Shun started.
"The released pressure will blow the Earth to pieces." Paige realized.
"Paige is right." Marucho agreed. "If we don't stop these things, the Earth is doomed."
"The Earth is merely the linkage to my larger plan; for universal destruction." Mag-Mel taunted. "Too bad you won't be allowed to see the end. Others must suffer for the part they played in the treachery that befell me. The force caused by the Earth's destruction will rip all across the dimensions, toppling each world it passes over and no space shall be spared. Very well, Léarin. For the sake of those who are going to die, and for the Battle Brawlers who so desperately want to save you by any means, pray for a final moment, and then die!"
"Gundalia is next." Paige gasped.
"And Neathia and Vestal." Rafe added. "We have to stop him"
"You're not going to banish my people to some dark dimension!" Paige retorted, the laughing Mag-Mel vanishing. "So, let's split up."
"It's our only play." Dan agreed. "We can sit here and debate the risk, but in the end of the day, it's the best shot we have to save Earth, Léarin and the Universe."
With that decided, the group split up.
SailorStar9: Okay, this chapter is finally down. Read and review folks.
