"Beth." Rossi hissed whilst pointing at the woman jogging past. . .

Every single person of the group quickly whip their heads around to stare at her, none of them knowing what exactly to do.

Panic starts to take over Hotch as his breathing increases rapidly. Starting to shake, he looks around the rest of the group to see everyone else was the same. Knowing that he wasn't alone, his attention turned towards Emily.

Her eyes are wide with the pupils enlarged. Her mouth ajar, finding it hard to breathe.

"Crap, what the hell am I supposed to do now?" Hotch asks everyone who are now facing him.

"Tell her. . . Just get it over with." Alex tells him.

"Alright then." He replies, unwillingly getting up and calling her name. "Beth. . . BETH!" He shouts as she notices him.

"Aaron?" She calls whilst smiling at him, taking a few steps forward.

"Hi, Beth." Says Aaron, walking to meet her the rest of the way.

"W-what are you doing here?" She asks whilst laughing a little.

"Well actually Beth, there's something important that I need to tell you." He says, glancing back at his friends and gulping.

"What is it Aaron?" She asks quietly, caressing his cheek with her hand. A few moments pass of silence and he pulls away from her suddenly, looking at the ground. "Aaron?" She gently asks him whilst looking worried.

"Sorry." He says now looking up into her eyes. "Well Beth, earlier today, Emily came back from London. Ummmm, when she came back she had brought a child with her. . . My child."

"What?" She whispers, tears pooling in her eyes. Hotch quickly looks down again in embarrassment. "Aaron, are you actually being serious, or is this some kind of sick joke?" She asks him, slowly getting louder with each word.

"Look Beth, I'm really sorry about this. I never meant for any of this to happen, but it did and it made me realise something. I do love you Beth, but I'm not in love with you. I'm in love with Emily. He tells her firmly, certain of his words.

Salty tears start to run down Beth's cheeks. Moments later, she sharply slaps him hard across the face. Stumbling back, he looks up at her in shock.

"How could you Aaron, I thought you loved me!"

"Beth, I did love you." Hotch tries to calm down the situation which is getting out of hand.

"Then why the hell did you sleep with another woman!?" She spits out harshly at him; gaining attention from all of the people walking past.

". . . I don't know." Is all Hotch can make out, shrugging his shoulders at the same time. He then looks directly into her brown eyes and sees nothing but anger and hatred in them. The woman he once loved was nowhere to be found, hidden away from the world.

"Where is she?" Beth suddenly asks, gritting her teeth. Catching Hotch off guard.

"Where's who?"

"Emily. . . Where the hell is she 'cause she's going to regret the day she even met you when I'm finished with her!" Says Beth forcefully, showing off the anger within her.

"Beth!" Hotch says loudly. "This is not Emily's fault! I'm the one that decided to sleep with her in the first place. You need to leave her out of this! This is between me and you Beth, not her, not and certainly not my daughter!" He shouts out at her, his blood boiling with rage but tears trickling down his cheeks.

Shocked with his reply, she runs off with no hesitation whilst crying loudly. Hotch sighs quietly and shakes his head. He turns around to see very surprised faces from the rest of the group. He slowly walks over to them and sits down next to Emily.

"Thank you." She says to him sweetly.

"What are you saying that for?" He asks raising his brow.

"For sticking up for me, Charlotte and Jack silly."

"Oh, you don't have to thank me for that; I'm just sorry that you all had to witness that." He replies turning to face the rest of the gang who all said either: "Don't worry. Or, "it's alright," in unison.

"It's alright daddy!" Jack says with a smile after everyone is quiet, giving his father a hug.

"I'm so sorry Jack; I know that you were fond of Beth." Says Hotch.

"Well daddy, if I'm honest, I didn't like Beth in the first place. I didn't say anything though because I knew that you liked her a lot." Jack tells his father, scrunching up his nose innocently as the whole group laugh.

"Really?" Hotch asks his son surprised.

"Yeah."

Later at the Hotchner residence:

"Emily! I'll show you my room first." An over excited Jack Hotchner squeals as Hotch pulls up outside of their house.

"Sure Jack!" Emily calls whilst getting out of the car, the heels of her shoes hitting the hard surface.

Jack quickly scrambles out of the car and runs to the front door, eagerly waiting for the adults.

"Emily?" Hotch asks whilst they walked side by side towards the house. "Where is all of yours and Charlotte's luggage?"

"Well actually, my mother is in town because she has a meeting tomorrow. So, she decided to meet me at the airport and help me with mine and Charlotte's luggage to her car. We went to her hotel room and dropped it all off there. Then I got a taxi to the FBI building." Emily explains to him. "So I was wondering if later we could visit her and collect our luggage." She asks him when they stop walking.

"Sure, I'm sure that Jack will want to meet her." Hotch replies. He opens the door for them all and they all walk in, one after another.

"Well, here it is!" Hotch says whilst closing the door behind them. "We've actually done quite a bit of redecorating since you have last been here. . . Soooo, tell us what you think of it!" Hotch tells her as she has a look around the room.

"Actually, you both have redecorated you place very well. . . Considering that you two are only men." She adds in with a cheeky grin spread across her face. Hotch gasps, pretending that he's hurt and places his hand over his heart. Jack tries to copy him but bursts out laughing.

"You're so silly daddy!" Jack tells him whilst giggling.

"Am I still silly when I do this then?" Hotch asks as he picks up Jack and blow a raspberry into his stomach making Jack squeal with laughter.

"AAHHH, stop daddy! Emily, help!" Jack screams whilst chuckling wildly. Trying to get Hotch to put him back down.

"Hahaha, sorry Jack. No can do." She replies sniggering. After blowing another raspberry, Hotch gently lets Jack back down to the ground.

Jack gives his father a quick hug then eagerly runs to the stairs.

"Come on daddy, Emily. You said that I could show you my room!" He states whilst bouncing up and down.

"Alright Jack, we're coming." Hotch tells his son, putting his arm around Emily. They slowly make their way up the stairs as a happy new couple. . .

6 months later:

Hotch and Emily are sat down at a table in a fancy restaurant. Slow classical music is playing and the room is filled with quiet chatter.

Hotch hadn't asked Emily what she wanted to do for their 'date night' this week because he had already planned out the perfect date possible. (With help from Rossi.)

They are making small talk with each other whilst they ate their meals.

Hotch is wearing a tailored black suit which fits his gorgeous body perfectly with a dark red tie laying against the white blouse he wore.

Emily has a stunning deep red dress attached to her body the comes down to just above her knees. The dress shows off all of her features. With matching earrings and heels, her hair is in loosed curls that have grown to just below her chest. Her plump lips are covered in shiny red lipstick that Garcia had picked out for her when the four BAU girls went shopping the weekend before hand.

Emily has another sip of her white wine as the waiter brings their desserts and takes away the remains of their main meals. However, Emily notices a note on her plate next to her chocolate caramel tartlet with vanilla ice cream. She outstretches her arm to reach it. She starts to open the note but has second thoughts when she notices Hotch looking very nervous from where he is sitting. Focusing back to the note, she reads the words on it and completely forgets all of her surroundings. Looking down to Hotch who is one the floor, kneeling down on one knell with a little black bow in him hand. She soon becomes too overwhelmed to say anything at all but she just stares at him, tears forming in her eyes.

"Emily, we have known each other for over 20 years now and from the first time I laid eyes on you, I knew that one day we would be together. Many years ago, I worked for your mother and that's when we met for the first time . . . 7 years ago, we met again, that's when you joined my team. At first, you were a devious woman who I couldn't trust which soon turned into a strong friendship. A friendship that lasted way too long. And 6 months ago when you came back from London, I met you again and I also met our daughter for the first time. Emily, you have been with me through the good times and the bad. You have seen me at my happiest but also at my sadist. You are my soul mate, you are my lover and most importantly, you are my friend. . . Emily Prentiss, Will You Marry Me?" Hotch asks her, his whole body trembling as he opens the case to reveal a diamond encrusted engagement ring. A big diamond in the middle with a medium sized diamond each side and all the way around are little diamonds encrusted into the silver.

Emily has never seen such a beautiful engagement ring in the whole life and she gasps with shock.

"Yes. . . YES, I will marry you!" She shouts kneeling down in front of him and engulfing him into a tight hug. Tears are running down both of their cheeks as everyone else there cheers for the couple.

Emily and Hotch pull away from each other and he slips the ring onto her finger then suddenly kisses her passionately. . .

The note that Emily had in her hand slowly floats to the ground and read: 'There's not need to be a Princess when you can become my Queen.'

The end.
