"That isn't possible," Dean breathed.

"You could say that again…" Sam agreed. They watched their father draw nearer, giving the group a curious look.

"Sam? Dean? Who are these people? Where am I?" John asked again as he came to a stop in front of his sons.

Knowing Dean and Sam had no answer, Callista tried to help, swallowing her fear. "Sir?" She waited until John's attention was on her. "Hi, I'm Cali, I'm a friend of theirs. Uh, you're in Farmington, Michigan. It's 2013."

"2013? How did I end up here? I need to get back!" John suddenly started panicking. "Dean's going to be worried! I mean, you are…Other Dean? Past Dean is going to be worried about me! I've already been gone a couple of days and now I'm eight years late!"

Dean remembered what time John was talking about. "Sam, he's talking about when I came and got you," he said.

"Yeah. You mentioned Dad hasn't been home for a few days," Sam remembered. "Huh. So this is where he went? How?"

Crowley coughed pointedly, getting the brother's attention. He was uneasy in John's presence, but thankfully the elder hunter had no clue who the demon was. "Perhaps we should ask the only unsupervised being capable of dragging someone from the past," he pointed out.

"Dimitri!" Callista said. She turned to the brothers. "Uh, Dad…" she stumbled over the word, "and I will go check on our….friend. Kevin, you and Cas and come too," she said.

"Hold on. Who is everyone? Someone better start talking," John warned.

"Sir, I promise you will get your answers. But I need to get them first. I'll be right back," Callista said, turning and hurrying off towards the hotel. Kevin and Crowley followed her, but Castiel stayed where he was. He knew of John's methods and didn't want Dean or Sam to sink back into the routine that followed their father around.

"So? Who was she really?" John demanded. He was confused about being thrust into the future and responded by lashing out at his sons.

Before Dean could answer, Castiel stepped forward. "John Winchester, you better watch how you talk to these men. You are no longer in your own time. They have grown beyond you and it will be over my dead body before I let you bully them back into the perfect sons. Dean more than Sam," he threatened.

"And who are you supposed to be?" John asked, narrowing his eyes at Castiel.

"I am an angel of the lord. I have been assigned more or less to watch over Dean and Sam, and you can be sure I will protect them. Even from fathers who need to learn a few lessons on manners," Castiel said, pointedly looking at John.

"Angel my ass. They don't exist," John said.

"Just because you are too pigheaded to maintain faith, doesn't mean that faith isn't there. Remember, I will be watching over them," the angel warned before disappearing with a flash of his wings' shadows. Dean and Sam were impressed, they never really got to see them. John was white, having realized that Castiel was indeed an angel.

"Uh…passing over your…protector…How is everything?" John asked awkwardly.

"As good as can be expected," Dean answered, still in a bit of awe that Castiel had been so protective of them.

"Why am I not with you? Am I on another hunt?" John asked, looking around as though they were hiding future John somewhere.

"Uh…no," Sam said. John looked back at his youngest son and grimaced.

"I die. Don't I?" he asked in a small voice.

"Yeah…" Dean said awkwardly.

John sighed. "Well, don't tell me when or how. I'm not sure I want to know. At least tell me Bobby is taking care of you."

At the two boys hesitation, John sighed again. "Dead?"

"Yeah. Last year," Sam said.

"Anyone still alive?" John asked.

"Dean and I. A couple of our friends that you don't know," Sam answered. "The ones you just met and another girl."

"Two girls?" John was trying to avoid the subject of his sudden appearance, so he focused on the one thing he could right now.

Dean caught his meaning and chuckled. "One of them is out of the question for either of us. The other, the one you just met, she likes Sam more than me." He didn't add that while he liked Callista as a sister, his eye was on someone else entirely, someone who just threatened his dad. He still wouldn't admit he was attracted to a male, since Castiel was not gendered himself, but he didn't think Jimmy's body would fly too well with John.

John nodded. "Does she treat you well? Does she know what you do?" he asked.

"Yeah. She's…aware of the supernatural," Sam said hesitantly. Well, it was the truth. But if Dean's attraction to a male would send John into a rage, Sam's attraction to a demon, no matter how nice she is, would send John to murder.

"Well. Let's not waste time anymore. We need to start the research needed to send me back. Dean, you and I will head to the local library, see if there's-" But said son cut John off.

"No." John looked taken aback as Dean said that. "Cali said that she would get answers. So, what we are really going to do is wait out here until she comes back and then we will have everything we need."

John looked angry for a second, not used to his son defying him. Not Dean at least. But then he nodded. "Fine," he said in clipped tones.

Sam inwardly sighed, knowing it was going to be a long time until Callista came back.

"Did you bring John Winchester back from the past?" Callista asked, walking right up to Dimitri. The blonde witch simply smiled.

"Isn't it a lovely surprise? How do you think Papa Bear would react to finding out his younger son is hooking up with a demon? Not just any demon, but the most powerful demon in all of myths," Dimitri sneered. She had to tamp down the urge to slap him. Crowley, Castiel, and Kevin hung back, letting Callista take the floor.

"Send him back. He has no place here," Callista pointed out.

"What do I get out of it if I send him back?" Dimitri asked, lifting an eyebrow. Callista instantly fixed him with a glare.

"You know what? You're irritating and I don't like you. I'll simply find the men on my own and I could probably send John back by myself. I don't need you anymore," she said. But she didn't want to kill him, since she had killed Jade, however accidentally. "Cas? D-Dad? One of you want to take over?"

Castiel and Crowley looked at each other, silently asking the other. Eventually, Crowley stepped forward, cracking his knuckles. Kevin decided to duck out with Callista.

"So, I never asked before, but why is Crowley with you guys? And why did you call him dad?" Kevin asked as they walked back to the Winchesters. "Wait. He's not like…your real dad? Is he?"

"Yeah, he is. My mom just so happens to be Lilith," Callista answered.

"Lilith. As in All-Mighty Lilith, first demon ever made?" Kevin shook his head. "Eesh. And I thought my absent father was bad."

Callista laughed. "Hey, I'd trade you any day. Now, let's go see if I can send John back to his original time."

They caught up with the Winchesters. "So, uh…great news. I found out how you ended up here. A witch brought you back," she said, smiling.

"But?" John asked, too many years of hunting to not hear the unspoken end of the sentence.

"But…he won't be able to send you back," she said with a sheepish smile.

"Why not?" Dean asked.

"Oh, you know. Because…" Callista grinned.

"That's not-" John started to say.

"Drop it, Dad. She knows what she's talking about," Sam said, throwing an arm around her shoulder. She beamed up at him.

"Fine. Well, how do we get me back?" John asked. He may not have been the best father, but he was touched by the intimacy that Sam and Callista had. Of course, he didn't know that they had only known each other for a couple of days. Seeing them together, you would think they've known each other for months or even years.

Without thinking, Callista answered, "I can try to send you back, but I've never done it before so bear with me…" She trailed off as John narrowed his eyes at her.

"How would you be able to send me back?" he asked suspiciously.

"How are you guys able to exorcise demons?" she retorted back. She turned and addressed Dean before she started a fight with his dad. "I got to go see if Charlie has a book on sending people back in time. She might. I'll be back soon." She gave Sam a quick kiss and bounded off. Kevin has a sudden urge to go with her, but something told him he needed to stay where he was.

John heaved a sigh irritably. "I'm going to go see if there is a bar in town," he said, stuffing his hands in his pockets and turning away. As he walked away, Dean and Sam looked at each other, then at Kevin.

"Do we follow him?" Dean asked, concerned.

"I don't think so. I'm not getting any bad vibes," Kevin answered. "I think he's honestly getting a drink."

"Let's hope so. I don't even want to imagine what he would do if he found out what she really was," Sam said, worrying for Callista.

"So, I have this one," Charlie said, picking a book of the shelf and handing it to Callista. "It has a whole bunch of rituals in it. Or this one," another book was taken off the shelf, "I can't read most of it, but you look like you can read Latin."

"Thanks. Yeah, I can understand any language," Callista said, browsing through the books.

"Wow, really? That's cool. How did you manage that?" Charlie asked, sitting in her favorite chair. Callista sat across from her.

"Well…can I tell you something?" Callista asked the red-head. Charlie nodded. "You know Lilith, from the Supernatural books?"

"Yeah. She was an evil bitch." Charlie made a face and offered Callista a tin of cookies.

"Well, thirty years ago, she hooked up with Crowley," Callista said, taking a cookie and biting into it.

"As in King of Hell?"

"Yeah. Well, they had a kid. The first ever demon who was born. Who was never human," Callista said.

"Wow…That sounds either really cool or really terrifying. Depends on how that kid is, I guess," Charlie said, sounding awed.

"I hope really cool. Because I'm that kid," Callista announced.

"No way!" Charlie laughed. "Prove it!"

Callista also laughed. "Fine. What should I do?"

"I don't know…Oh! Make my Hermione figure talk!" Charlie suggested, pointing to said figurine. Callista stood and pointed to the figurine. Snapping her finger, she made the figurine move, getting up and turning towards Charlie.

"Hello, Charlie. It's nice to finally get to talk to you. I just want to say I like hearing you read the Hobbit out loud," Hermione Figurine said. Charlie gasped and then grinned widely.

"Wicked. Ok, I believe you," she said, turning her grin to Callista who returned it.

"That easy?" Callista asked while laughing.

"Hey, I'm friends with Sam and Dean. I know there are things out there that I can't explain. Thankfully, this is one that I can. You're awesome, and I don't believe for a second that you're evil. If anything, you're like the opposite," Charlie pointed out. "Does Sam know?"

"Yeah. He said he doesn't care. That I'm nothing like Ruby," Callista answered.

"That's for sure. You are much cooler and kinder," Charlie said, smiling.

"Thanks. Well, I should get back. Otherwise they might send someone to rescue me from Geekland. Dean's words, not mine." Callista laughed and stood.

"Alright. Well, see you until next time," Charlie said, waving Callista goodbye.

"Does Sam know?" John heard the red-headed ask from his spot under the open window. This whole conversation was making him angry. So, Cali was a demon, huh? And apparently, not just any demon, but the most powerful one in existence.

And Sam. He knew? He knew and he didn't care? Apparently he's even been with a demon before this, one called Ruby.

But…what if she was just saying that. What if Sam had no idea what she was? What if she had him under some sort of mind control? John wouldn't be able to get to him then. He'd have to kill her first. But he couldn't kill her in front of anyone. Too many people were under her control. His own sons were slaves to her will.

Well, not anymore. He was going to save them, even if it took his life. No son of his would love a demon.
