*Frost's Day In Assiah*
I'm so sorry for the lack of updates! Honestly haven't been in the zone lately but after a nice camping trip to the mountains my head is clear and ready for writing! So, as a little apology and thank you for being so patient, here's a little relax chapter that me and a friend of mine came up with! My friend said that it might be a little interesting to throw in some Kuro/Frost to have a little fun in this story of mine so I did! This is a strictly T-Rated Fic so nothing M-Rated is within this chapter. It's pretty much just some fluffiness that I felt would be a cute touch to our lovely story. Anywho~ Rant over, time for the story! ENJOY~! 3
Today was the day! Frost was so excited he was bouncing on his fuzzy little heels. Starting today Frost was going to be spending a whole week in Assiah with Blizzard and Amaimon! The Cat-Sidhe was currently on top of a train sitting next to Amaimon's Behemoth who had been sent to guide him to the school.
"I can't wait to see Blizzard again! She hasn't been to Gehenna in ages!" Behemoth smiled and rolled his eyes at his friend.
"It's only been a month since her last visit Frost. She's been busy with schoolwork, her and Amaimon both." The cat tilted his head in confusion.
"Schoolwork? Why would Blizzard be doing schoolwork? I thought only humans went to school?" Behemoth shrugged.
"From what I over heard it was some kind of mix-up and now she's stuck in school. Amaimon started going because some human was trying to get close to Blizzard and we both know that never goes over well, what with him being as possessive as he is." Frost shook his head and smiled. Leave it to Amaimon and Blizzard to inadvertently cause trouble.
"Oh well, so long as I at least get to spend some time with them. I've been waiting for this trip forever! I was so excited when Blizzard first told me I could come!" Behemoth just chuckled and listened once again to the cat-sidhe and his story on when Blizzard first told him he could come to Asshia. The earth-demon didn't really mind, it was better than sitting in complete silence the whole two-hour trip. Due to Mephisto's order of 'no causing trouble' Blizzard had suggested that when Behemoth go to pick up Frost they take a train, by that she meant sitting on top of the train as it flew through the city at over 200 mph. None the less, it was less hassle and a lot faster than making the near four hour walk. The closest gate that connected Gehenna and Asshia was sadly farther away than any of the demons would like but it was as close as they'll get. It was physically impossible for a gate to be any closer to True Cross Town least they want the gate to become unstable. After the train ceased to a halt and Frost nearly barreling into Behemoth from the sudden loss of motion, the two demons made there way back to True Cross Academy. Frost could barely contain his excitement as the school came into view. This place was huge! No wonder Blizzard decided to stay here, not only was it big it was really pretty too. It could've used more snow and colder weather in Frost's opinion but hey, that's just him being the ice-demon he is. Behemoth lead him around to the back gate of the school so as to not cause any sort of commotion since the Cat-Sidhe was able to be seen by humans in his smaller form. After entering onto school grounds Behemoth stopped and motioned for Frost to sit next to him.
"Now look, I have to go report to Mephisto that you've arrived but I don't want to bore you with having you listen to me tell him everything that happened, so, you can find Blizzard by her scent right?" Frost nodded and sniffed the air, almost instantly smelling the icy scent of his Mistress. "Good, now go ahead and find her. I'm sure she'll be glad to see you made it here safe and sound." With a wide grin Frost jumped up and immediately ran in the direction of Blizzard's scent, making sure to yell a thank you back to Behemoth for his aid. Frost had to track a lot of scent to find his Mistress. It seems like she's been all over the place here! Finally though, after a good hour of sifting through new and old scents he finally found her! Blizzard was right there, standing with a bunch of humans and Amaimon right by her side. Although, something seemed a bit off about her. He could sense his Mistress was uneasy even from such a far distance. Before he was able to call out to her, the Cat-Sidhe managed to barrel into something, effectively knocking both it and himself to the ground. With a groan, Frost got up and shook himself off.
"What'd I hit?" The cat's voice wavered as his shaken body swayed back and froth from the sheer impact. He heard another groan and quickly snapped back into reality. Looking over to what he hit Frost was surprised to see it was another cat! Not only that, it was another Cat-Sidhe like himself, two tails and everything!
"Ow, that hurt. Watch where you're running next time will ya?" The black Cat-Sidhe sat up and shook himself off much like Frost did a few moments ago. It took a second before the visiting cat realized he had yet to apologize.
"I'm sorry! I wasn't paying attention. You see, my Mistress is over there and she seems worried so I wanted to go over and see if she was okay and I guess I kinda just… ya know, ran into you." Frost laughed nervously, unsure how this other demon-cat would react to him being here. Behemoth didn't mention there being another Cat-Sidhe so Frost wasn't sure how to react.
"Mistress? Oh! Do you mean Blizzard?" At the mention of the Ice Queen's name Frost's eyes lit up like stars.
"You know Blizzard?" The white and baby-blue cat's tails began to swish in excitement.
"Yeah! She's friends with Rin! That's my new Master according to Exorcist records, but in reality, I just really like being around Rin. He's so much fun to play with just like Shiro was." Frost tilted his head in confusion for the second time that day.
"Shiro? Was that your old Master?" The black-cat nodded.
"Yeah, Rin's his son. Anyway, my name's Kuro! You must be Frost right?" The lighter cat nodded and smiled.
"That's me! Anyway, do you know what's going on over there? How come there are so many people?" Kuro took a second to look over at the mass of humans and was easily able to spot the two demon Rulers within to fray. Not that hard to pick them out.
"Kinda, from what I heard, apparently a student got attacked last night! They found him outside his dorm room pretty beaten up. I think he might be one of Blizzard and Amaimon's classmates. I'm not exactly sure, but in any case it might not be the best idea for you to bother Blizzard right now. Crazy weird things have been happening on campus lately and no one really knows why. Not even Rin can catch a break, he's been super busy with Yukio helping both Bliz and Amaimon with their school work. Or was Yukio helping all three of them with their schoolwork? I can't really remember." Frost's excitement all but dissipated at the fact that he couldn't see his Mistress and it was clear on his face. His ears flattened and his eyes looked to the ground.
"Oh, I see. Man, and I came all this way so I could see her again. I haven't seen Blizzard in over a month! It's not fair." The Cat-Sidhe pouted and pawed at the ground. Kuro felt bad that he ruined the lighter cat's cheery attitude, he started to think, what could he do to bring Frost's spirits back up? That's when an idea hit him.
"I know! Just because you can't hang out and play with Blizzard doesn't me we can't have fun on our own!" The lighter cat looked up at Kuro with interest.
"What do you mean?"
"Well Mephisto has only one rule for us demons and that's for us to not cause trouble on school grounds so when Rin can't play with me I go off school grounds and have a little fun on my own! I was just about to head out too, wanna join? I promise it'll be so much fun!" Kuro smiled and waited for the other cat's answer with bated breath. Frost had to think about this one. It's been a long time since he even played a mere prank on humans let alone go all out and cause mischief. Ever since meeting Blizzard, Frost hadn't even thought about doing anything like what Kuro was suggesting. Then again, it did sound really fun.
"You promise we won't get in trouble?" Frost's dual tails swished with excitement.
"Haven't been caught yet, don't plan on it either." Frost grinned at Kuro's answer.
"Then let's go!" Kuro jumped up with a meow of joy.
"Alright!" With that, both cats rushed off in the direction of town, making a game of tag along the way so as to not get bored during the 20 minuet trek down into town. They had to take the long way so as to avoid the students but it just made their game of tag all the better. Once in town though Frost was immediately stunned at how many people were out and about. The last time he was in Assiah there were never many people around, then again, he was always in a place where it was cold year round. He couldn't remember the name of the place but he knew one thing, there were never this many people outside.
"Wow, this place is cool!" Frost heard Kuro giggle and looked over to him, smile still plastered on his fuzzy face. "What's so funny?"
"Nothing, just, you don't get out much do you?" Frost shook his head and Kuro smiled. "Come on, I'll show ya around then." Kuro lead Frost into town and at first Frost was confused, weren't they supposed to stay out of sight?
"Um, Kuro, aren't we supposed to be, ya know, hiding from the humans?" Kuro shook his head.
"Nope, pretty much everyone here knows me. They feed me from time to time too. Everyone here is really nice, come on, I'm sure Mr. Hikari has some snacks for me today. No doubt he'll give you some too." Kuro weaved his way through the crowds of humans with Frost close behind, trying his best not to lose the black cat in the process. The two stopped in front of a place that smelled like raw fish. Kuro started to meow and a man with dark caramel hair came outside. When he noticed the two Cat-Sidhes he smiled.
"Ah Kuro, there you are. I knew you'd be around sooner or later, and who's this pretty kitty? A new girlfriend maybe?" At that Kuro had to repress some laughter while Frost blushed. Girlfriend!? The lighter cat knew he had a tendency to act a bit girly at times but he was in fact male! Stupid human for not knowing the difference between and male cat and a female! This was beyond embarrassing! "Haha, anyway, I'll be right out with your snack and of course one for your new girlfriend here." Once the human left Kuro couldn't hold it in anymore. The black cat burst out in hysterics and Frost glared at him, a dark red blush strewn across his furry cheeks.
"It's not funny! That human needs his eyes checked! I'm obviously a guy not a girl!" Frost puffed out his cheeks in annoyance. Kuro on the other hand, was still laughing his furry little tails off. It was just too funny. Finally calming down, the black cat wiped away the tears that formed in his eyes from laughing so hard.
"I-I'm sorry but, that was really just too funny! The look on your face was priceless! It may be obvious for you and me to tell that you're a guy but for humans, they just judge by appearances when it comes to cats. Most of the time they don't really check to see if they're really a boy or a girl unless they plan on taking them home. With your colors, you really do look like a girl." Mr. Hikari came back out and put a small bowl in front of each cat, missing the look of annoyance on Frost's face.
"There ya go you two. Oh, and Kuro, you should head over to Ms. Aiyama's shop. She has a new flavor of candy she made especially for you. Took her a long time to make too. I hope you like it." The human gave both cats a pet on the head before disappearing back into his shop for good. Kuro immediately started to eat while Frost just sat there and eyed the strange food that was placed in front of him. He had no idea what he was looking at right now. Kuro noticed the other cat's hesitation and looked up.
"It's grilled fish with a few pieces of fried shrimp and a piece of fried octopus. It's really good. Mr. Hikari makes the best in town." With that Kuro went back to eating. Frost hesitated for just a second longer before trying a piece of the shrimp. Next thing the lighter cat knows his whole face is in the bowl. This food really was good! He's never had anything that tasted like this in his life! After finishing the delicious meal Kuro lead him to a brightly colored shop down the street. A woman with long red hair was seated outside the shop and her face lit up with a smile when she spotted the two cats coming her way.
"Kuro! There you are dear. I have a new treat I'd like you to try for me, and who's your friend? A girlfriend I presume?" The woman smiled but Frost just glared. Again with saying he was a girl! This was getting rather annoying to the Cat-Sidhe and he was about to growl in protest but a very sweet scent stopped any noise other than a light purr to escape his throat. He knew that smell very well, just like any cat would. "I call it Cat-Nip Poppers. I was thinking of selling them as treats for cats and I'd like for you to try one, I'll even give your girlfriend one too." At this point both Frost and Kuro were ignoring her comments. They just wanted the candy. The woman set one small green pellet in front of each cat and both instantly devoured the candies. The taste was amazing! It was smooth and Frost swore he could taste a hint of vanilla in there somewhere. The taste wasn't too strong so it didn't over power his sense and it even went down smooth. Both cats meowed in great appreciation to the wonderful treats. The woman smiled. "I'm so glad you like them! That settles it, I'm going to start selling these starting next week. You've been a big help Kuro, and you too Missy." Ms. Aiyama did the same thing that Mr. Hikari did and patted both cats on the head. Although Frost was still a bit irritated that people thought he was a girl, the good that came out of it defiantly out weighed the bad. After the red-headed woman said goodbye Kuro lead Frost up on top of one of the buildings that had a good view of True Cross Town.
"So, what would you like to do? I usually stay away from this part of town since most people here give me food but anywhere else is fair game." Frost didn't know what to do. He really did like to play games but he hasn't done anything like that in a long time.
"I don't know, I'm kinda rusty when it comes to this. It's been a long time since my last time in Asshia and times have really changed here. What I used to call fun might not be so fun anymore." This time it was Kuro's turn to be confused.
"Not to be rude or anything, but how old are you exactly?" Now there's a question Frost hadn't heard in a while.
"Hmmm, about 340 years old now? Give or take a few decades." Kuro's jaw dropped in complete surprise.
"No way! You don't look a day over 100! That's so unfair, I'm only 121!" Kuro pouted and this time it was Frost's turn to laugh.
"Well just because I look about your age doesn't mean I am. Like I said it's been a long time since I've been in Asshia so I'm not sure what to do for fun anymore. Blizzard usually knows what to do for fun and she's not here so I'm relying on you for an idea now." Frost sat patiently as Kuro thought up something good for the two to do. It was a hard decision to make considering there were so many things the black cat wanted to do with his new friend. Kuro shifted through the many ideas that came to mind and finally a rather exciting idea came to the younger Cat-Sidhe's mind.
"I know! We can go down by the train station and mess with the people going on and off the trains. I like to open their bags and switch things with other people's stuff. It's funny because by the time they notice it's way too late." Frost smiled.
"Sounds like fun and there's no way we could be blamed for it either, so long as we're unseen." Finally on agreement of what to do the twosome headed to the train station to lay in wait for their unwilling prey to their prank.
*Some hours later*
Being lazy~
To say Frost had fun would be an understatement. Kuro sure knew how to make a simple prank seem like the most hilarious thing in the world. Each time they swapped one thing with another there was little they could do to contain their laughter. Frost hadn't had that much fun since the time Blizzard made a huge snow storm in a place called Britain back before she met Amaimon. Now that was a fun time.
"See? What'd I tell ya! That was hilarious!" Kuro smiled and jumped up onto the kitchen counter. The two had finally made their way back to the school and were now sitting in Rin and Yukio's dormitory kitchen with Ukobach who paid little attention to the two as he prepared dinner for the only two residents of the dorm.
"I agree Kuro. That was really fun! I still can't believe those two guys got into a fight! Now that was interesting to watch."
"You're tellin' me! That's never happened before when I was by myself. I thought the one guy was gonna break the other guy's jaw at one point." Frost snickered.
"Yeah, that was pretty intense." The elder cat yawned and stretched out a bit.
"Tired Frost?" The lighter cat looked to the darker one and nodded.
"Yeah, I wasn't really expecting to do so much in just one simple day. You really know how to run wild Kuro." Frost smiled and Kuro grinned. He's never been complimented on being mischievous before. "Is there a place I could stay the night? I don't really wanna chance going to Blizzard just yet, I think it might be better if I just wait until things die down a bit." Kuro nodded.
"You can sleep with me in Rin and Yukio's room. I usually sleep at the end of Rin's bed. Come on." Frost yawned once more before following the black cat to the room of the two boys in question. The room was empty so there would be no questioning until the morning. Kuro and Frost both hopped up onto Rin's bed and settled down at the end of the bed. Both rather exhausted and worn out, the two curled up nest to each other and lightly drifted off into a sweet slumber. Frost had to admit, even though he didn't get to spend time with Blizzard today, he was rather happy that things turned out the way they did. Maybe being with Kuro wasn't such a bad thing.
