Chapter 9- Adjustments to power
Breakfast the next morning was a bit hectic as most were out killing last night and were
surprised to see that Kaytlin was conscious.
Bombarding him with questions first thing in the morning did not end well.
Most of the pastas were swept away in the swirly red telekinesis owned by the redhead.
Shock and amazement passed through many faces as they were sat down at the kitchen table,
all attention now focused on the sleepy newcomer.
His face held a look of exasperation and slight worry.
He felt self conscious and a little worried about not fitting in, but his display of power spread
respect around the table and their breakfast became remotely quiet.
Everyone seemed to have calmed down and a few questions about his powers were thrown
around the room.
Kaytlin carefully answered each question, hesitant to reveal too much.
The others must have sensed his hesitation because they eased up on the questions about
his past.
After breakfast, Kaytlin decided to find the bathroom and finally take a shower.
As he stepped under the hot stream of water, someone was planning something.
BEN noticed something at breakfast that had made him curious.
Every time someone drew near, mostly close to his back, Kaytlin would inch away slightly.
He was determined to figure this out.
BEN snuck into the bathroom as the shower was running, grabbing at the male's clothes and
leaving his boxers.
He shoved them inside Jeff's room and locked the door before running to the couch and
casually starting up a game on his DS.
When the shower water turned off and he heard shuffling in the bathroom, BEN heard a
frustrated yell and the door burst open.
Kaytlin stood on top of the stairs, red blooming on his cheeks and his eyes glowing with anger.
He stayed exactly where he was, glancing around the room and landing on BEN.
His gaze burned into the back of the cyber elf's head, knowing instantly that he was the culprit.
Too afraid of his scars being seen, Kaytlin just stayed by the top of the steps, knowing that no
one was upstairs to see behind him.
"BEN, where the fuck are my clothes?"
Kaytlin asked menacingly through gritted teeth.
BEN just shrugged, continuing with his DS game.
Using his telekinesis, Kaytlin took the game and closing his hand, crushed the device with his
powers.
BEN shouted out in frustration, turning around on the couch to shoot a glare at the other.
"I won't ask again. Where are my clothes?"
Kaytlin was tired of this little game, clearly unamused.
BEN steadily glared back, standing his ground.
"Why were you so jumpy this morning?
Hiding something?"
The elf smirked as Kaytlin's eyebrow twitched.
"That's none of your business!"
He backed away until Jeff's door was beside him and tried opening the door.
Realizing that it was locked, he gave an irritated groan.
Going back over to the stairs, Kaytlin made BEN float upside down, crossing his arms as his
waited for an answer.
The blonde only grinned evilly and floated out of the wave of telekinesis.
He then proceeded in flying up to the redhead and dragging him down the steps, struggling the
entire time.
He managed to push Kaytlin out in front of the couch and recliners.
The male stumbled and fell to his knees, his back facing everyone in the room.
He stayed there, eyes wide and the world going in slow motion.
Water dripped down from his still wet hair.
Gasps rung in his ears as everyone could finally see the scars littering his back.
BEN sneered in disgust, walking close to the teen's rigid form.
"That's it?
That's why you're so jumpy?
Pathetic."
He crossed his arms and huffed.
Something snapped in Kaytlin's mind and the new power he possessed started to show.
After becoming immortal, Slender had warned him about spontaneously getting new abilities
and he could feel the power surge through him.
His entire eyes turned pure black and the ends of his mouth tore into a wicked black smile.
Growling lowly, he slowly lifted from the ground and turned towards BEN.
"You think it's funny that I was tortured?
Or maybe that I was made in a lab?
Oh, maybe the fact that they got bored and tried
to find new ways to torture me...
No?
How about that they fucking raped me!?
Is that what you wanted to know?
Huh?
All of you!"
His breathing was ragged and he at some point had backed BEN against a wall.
The never ending blackness of his mouth opened wider and he was just about to devour BEN's
soul when a black tentacle wrapped around his shoulders.
Kaytlin instantly fought and squirmed around in its grip, growling animalistically at the elf.
His attempts to escape were useless and his energy was declining.
The blackness faded, his normal eye color returning, and his face was hidden by his bangs.
After making sure that he wouldn't lash out again, Slender released his hold halfway.
BEN and all the other CPs had shock written in their expressions and also worry.
They were ashamed of BEN pushing the limits of their newest friend and surprised at the pain
Kaytlin was actually hiding.
They watched carefully as Kaytlin shrugged the tentacle fully off of his shaking form and briskly
walked to the front door.
He swung the old door open and slammed it shut behind him.
Jeff at the time, was knife practicing outside and watched from one of the windows when he
heard Kaytlin yelling.
He didn't even try to stop Kaytlin from leaving as the words registered in his mind.
Rape?
Torture?
A lab?
All of those things swirled around, making him dizzy.
The only thing stopping him from collapsing was the fact that this was all BEN's fault and he
greatly upset someone close to Jeff.
Anger finally caught up to him and he barged through the door.
Jeff walked straight up to BEN and socked him right in the face.
Lunging, the ever smiling killer gripped a fistful of the elf's blonde hair and started screaming
into his now bruised face.
"What the hell did you do?!
Why!?"
He shook his fist containing mounds of hair and snarled at the being under him.
BEN grunted in pain.
"I was just curious!
We all were!
I didn't mean to go this far and I'm so sorry!"
He pleaded, wincing when the grip on his hair tugged again before letting go.
Jeff wasted no time heading for the door, pausing as he walked out.
"I can't believe you could be so low.
Kaytlin is our family now, well actually I'm not so sure after this."
With that he walked away.
Kaytlin had found a clearing in the woods, tall grass swaying in the morning breeze.
Shivering from still being slightly wet from a shower, he curled up against a fallen tree and
sighed.
The grass obscured anyone's view, so he couldn't be found.
Except Jeff had already found him.
He was watching from afar and if he could, he would've frowned.
Quickly taking off his hoodie, he slowly approached the shivering make and sat down.
Wrapping the hoodie around his shoulders, Jeff watched as ruby eyes slowly rose to meet his.
Tears stained his cheeks and his eyes were red from crying.
Catching a tear as it rolled down the other's cheek, Jeff wrapped an arm around Kaytlin, pulling
him close.
Kaytlin sniffled, snuggling into the sudden warmth.
They stayed silent while the tears subsided.
"I know what he did was horrible, but revealing your past would have been inevitable either way.
I hope this doesn't mean you're leaving."
Jeff whispered gently, slightly worried that Kaytlin might actually decide to leave.
However, Kaytlin simply shook his head, water droplets falling from his hair.
"I won't leave, it's just annoying."
He sighed, resting his head on Jeff's shoulder.
"I can't believe he did that.
Are you, ya know, ok?"
He wasn't used to so much emotion and comforting someone took effort.
His words got through to Kaytlin though and he nodded.
"I've just never really told anyone about my past, well except for my best friend Suko."
Kaytlin seemed to brighten a little at the thought of his buddy and Jeff came up with an idea.
"How about we go visit your friend?"
Jeff offered.
Kaytlin nodded frantically, smiling slightly.
Standing up, kaytlin leader the way towards town, but paused.
"Uh, I need some pants."
As he said that, he slipped on Jeff's hoodie that was put on him earlier.
Shrugging, Jeff just said they could borrow some from Suko.
So, they both headed towards a small house near the woods.
