I legit do not know what was going on in this chapter. I need comments you guys!
The next morning, when training started Tobias kept looking at me. But I ignored him. He even attempted to talk to me but one death stare later, he went back to showing initiates how to use guns properly.
Last night when he was comparing me to Caleb, that was just low.
My mood had changed completely since I met him last night I barely talked or ate. Just like my old self in abnegation. Here I thought I had changed. This was supposed to be a fresh start for me. As much as I hated it in Abnegation, I wanted to go back. It was definitely better than living in this hell hole. Yet no one ever gets what they want. Being divergent, I had realized, I never really would fit in anywhere. Becoming factionless would the best choice.
Nowadays, having sore muscles was normal and sleep was vital. Sleep was definitely something we were always deprived of.
"Wake up initiates, meet me in the mess hall in a minute. We have places to be and if you don't want to be a part of it, we will happily make you factionless."
I woke up to the sound of Eric yelling. I think I felt his spit on my face and he was standing on the other side of the room. I blinked drowsily to see everyone scrambling get ready, I tried to get up yet my eyes closed and I fell back into a peaceful slumber.
"Tris. Tris! Get up for christ's sake."
"Hmm? wha-," I stopped abruptly when I rolled around coming face to face with Tobias. Again. "What do you want I thought I told you to get lost," I hissed at him.
"Oh well, Miss feisty unless you want to become factionless I would advise you to wake up right now. You're lucky I even stayed back waiting for you and convinced eric to move on without you."
I got up and looked around and realized he was right there was no one around.
"Shit."
"Just hurry up I think you can still make it."
"Thank you."
"What?" he looked bewildered.
"Thank you."
"Just- go get ready."
After about 10 minutes of the gentle swaying of the train in complete silence, I said, "So where are we going?"
"Be patient."
A few minutes later he said, "We're here."
I jumped off, him following me.
I turned towards him, narrowing my eyes. "Where are the others?"
"A little further in, come on."
We went through a clearing and I saw a silhouette of a Ferris wheel in the distance. a sudden wave of pain came over me and I clutched my head and collapsed. I closed my eyes and I heard laughter and saw a couple in each others embrace, both abnegation, on one of the carts in the Ferris wheel.
"Whats wrong?" His face loomed over me filled with worry.
"Nothing it's nothing. Come on it's right here." He extended his hand and pulled me up. We walked some more before I saw Eric.
"Oh look, the stiffs finally here, Four what took so long. I looked towards Tobias. His face was impassive. A paintball gun was shoved into my hand.
"Let's play."
Hello! In about a week, a new story will be posted on my collab account . I'm really pumped for this story, I'm writing it with my two best friends. It's new territory for me, action/adventure/mystery with a dash of romance. *winks* 'Miles to Matryoshka' features a multilingual nun, a teddy bear with strangely violent tendencies and a Hermione-Grangerish russian, as they follow the trail of some dolls, a few bits of paper and a strangely poetic description should be posted soon!
It will be on wattpad.
