Sorry it's so short!

Chapter 9 The Scientist's Discovery:

Governor Spiner sat behind his desk in his office doing paperwork when two men wearing white coats walked in.

"How may I help you, gentlemen?"

"Sorry to disturb you, Governor." Reading the nametag, the governor determined the man's name to be Scott.

"It's quit all right. What can I do you for?"

"We think we might have found a more humane way to rid of the Vampires," the man named Jeremy told him.

"Might have found?" the Governor repeated. "Did you capture a Vampire to test this theory?"

"Actually, we were only able to get a DNA sample from some of them," Scott answered. "The samples didn't only come from the humans turned, but also from the full bred."

"So, what is it that you believe you found?"

"We believe we found a way to turn them human," Jeremy said.

"How far are you to the actual cure?"

"There are some tests that still need to be done, but we are close," Jeremy told the Governor.

"Well, keep working on it. This will finally even the score between our kinds."

"Yes Governor Spiner," the scientist's unison.

Before the two left him, he told the scientists, "We'll try to capture a couple Vampires for you. But you know how difficult that is. There's no promises."

"Of course," understood Scott. Then the two left him to his paperwork.

Could there actually be a cure the scientists told him about? Something that maybe done in his time? Or will it take a few more centuries to create?
