Hello everyone! Sorry I haven't updated in a while. Hope everyone had a wonderful New Year's though! A new year and new start to everything. And I'm going to hopefully get a bunch of my stories done for sure! (cracks whip at her muses) Hehe. Anyways, enjoy the chapter!

-Chapter Nine-

'Daisuke don't forget. Inside you I exist. I'll never forget you.'

'I'll never forget you either Dark.'

Daisuke snapped his eyes open and sat up quickly looking around his dark room. 'Ngh. That dream again?' he thought rubbing his eyes and looked over at the clock that showed it nearly one in the morning. 'Ngh. It's going to be a long day at school again.' He laid his head back down shutting his eyes trying to get back to sleep. 'It's been nearly two months since the fight with the Black Wings but why do I keep having dreams of that day? I bet Satoshi's taking it better not having Krad around.' He sighed and stared at the ceiling a moment before closing his eyes again. 'Oh Dark. I miss you. I wonder what you're doing now?'

'There. I'm done,' Satoshi thought as he leaned back in his chair and stretched then saved the file he had been working on and glanced to the clock in the corner. 'Nearly one in the morning. This is going to be a long day later.' He sighed and shut his laptop off and leaned back in his chair again for a minute.

Suddenly a soft knock came from the front door and Satoshi turned in his chair giving a look of confusion. Then getting up, he went over and slowly opened it a little wondering who would be there at one in the morning. A familiar figure in black and blood red eyes looked to him and it took him a moment to recognize the face.

"Se-Selena? What are you doing here this early in the morning?" Satoshi asked as he stepped aside to let her in.

"I'd like to ask something of the sort of you being up so late when you've got school tomorrow," she replied with a shake of her head but a smirk on her lips as well as she came in.

"Um...well do please come in anyway," Satoshi said as she went to take off her boots. "It's okay." He turned and started heading to the living room. "Um...do you...want anything to drink? Water perhaps?"

"I'm fine," Selena replied as she followed Satoshi into the living room and he sat down in a chair as she went over to sit on the couch.

"Um I guess I didn't expect to see you again," Satoshi said as he watched her walk to the couch with a slight limp of her right foot. "I'm surprised you didn't use the window like last time."

"Yeah but I figured it was chilly outside now that snow has fallen," she said leaning back against the couch. "Thought I'd use the door this time." She gave a smile then.

"I see you hurt your foot," Satoshi pointed out unsure what to actually say.

"Oh that? It's nothing," she replied. "I've just been a bit more busy than usual lately." She leaned forward again looking at him. "I didn't get a chance to get what you wanted as your favor before your fight."

"My favor?" Satoshi asked then remembered. "Oh that. I...I really don't know what I want." He looked away thinking on what he had already thought about before.

"You're still thinking about Daisuke hm?" she asked softly as he turned and looked at her in surprise. "You two have been through a lot these past few months. It's not wrong to like him."

"I don't know what you're talking about," Satoshi said looking away suddenly remembering he had said that before.

"It's okay to like him Satoshi," she said softly with a smile. "I think it's rather cute."

"I don't suppose you can grant wishes playing with one's feelings can you?" Satoshi asked quietly after a moment looking back to her.

"I could," she said quietly. "But-"

"But it wouldn't be the same?" he asked and finished her sentence and she just nodded. "I understand."

Satoshi went silent a moment and looked away thinking over things quickly. "I don't want to wish for Daisuke to love me back like I do to him," he said after a moment. "I wouldn't feel right that it was a forced feeling on him. I...I would rather see him happy if it means he likes the Harada twin. I wish to only see him happy and realize his true feelings whatever they may be."

Selena nodded slowly. "A selfless wish for your decision?" she asked softly.

"Yes," he replied softly. "I...I'd want to see him happy even if I never get my feelings returned. I value his friendship over my feelings."

"A noble wish it is," she said as she stood up. "Get some sleep. It is pretty late."

"I guess so," he said standing up as well and walked her to the door.

"Goodnight Satoshi," she said stepping out the door.

"Goodnight Selena," he replied and shut the door and headed to bed.

Well that's the chapter. Sorry it's so short. (hangs head) But next chapter shall be longer for sure! Promise! (hands out cookies)
