Chapter 9:
Chat with a Norse God, Part 2
There I was in Godland again. Same place, even. I looked around, and instead of finding Odin sitting in his throne, I found a blonde, beefy guy standing in front of it. He had intense blue eyes and silky hair and beard, which didn't really match with the size of his body. He, as everyone else, stared at me hesitantly, as if I was a bomb or something.
"You are Amber Grossville?"
"Indeed I am, mister Goldilocks. Why did you call me here?" He seemed upset, more so than Odin. Oh, but it sure was fun to mess with gods.
"I am Thor Odinson, mighty god of thunder." My mouth turned into a perfect 'O'.
"That makes sense. It's kind of unfair, how you look like yourself in the movies but Loki doesn't." He frowned. "Never mind. By the way, I like the way you added 'mighty' in there. Way to go, Mr. Thunder-Guy. That's a lot of ways, right?" A thunder raged outside. I shivered and reminded myself of being politer to the next god I met.
"Don't play with me, mortal girl. You might be my brother's daughter, but I can still kill you with my hands only." I stared at his hands. Indeed he could.
"Okay okay, sorry. What would you have me do, oh mighty Thor?" He shifted, seeming to appreciate the ass-kissing.
"To reach Helheim, you will need Sleipnir, Odin's horse and…" He gave me a grin. "Your father's child." I just facepalmed myself.
"So what if my father is a zoophilic? That's his problem, not mine. So where can I find this horsey?" He seemed a bit disappointed for not having surprised me. Heheh.
"Well, he used to stay here in Asgard, but…" He shifted again. "I took him to Midgard one day and accidentally lost him."
"You lost your dad's prized horse? Well what an honorable son you are!" I played. He seemed angry again. "Sorry. Do you have any idea where I can find him?"
"He should be somewhere in Canada."
"…Canada. Incredibly far from where I am." I said simply. He stared at me, unchanged.
"If you don't get Sleipnir, you won't reach Hel. If you don't reach Hel, all Hell will break loose." I sighed at his stupid joke.
"Please, keep the jokes within the Loki branch. Don't go humiliating yourself." With a last thunder and a last angry look, I was shoved back into reality.
