Hey guys sorry for the long wait on the last chapter of this story. It's not much of an ending so sorry! But I hope you enjoyed this story! I will update other stories soon I've been working on them!

Chapter 9

You looked over to your brothers "He doesn't want the fucking kingdom! This has all been about acquiring me! Don't you understand what I'm trying to do?"

"Yes you are trying to destroy your self again."

The look you gave Dai was one you had used only once before and that was when he had gone too far. You took a step towards him "If there is one thing I do not care about that is the well being of myself. Everything I do is for you, Riku, Mitsu, and the boys." you stopped briefly "Nothing I do is ever for me because that is what happens when you are head of this family. Your well being is taken into account after everybody else's if that means I have to destroy myself then." you grabbed him by the collar of his clothes "So." pulled him closer to you "Be." you threw him into the wall farthest away from you while screaming "IT."

The whites of your eyes started glowing red and you started to transform into your demon form. White hair started sprouting out all over your body while it contorted into that of a fox. You grew taller standing even taller than Riku before you stalked Dai across the room. He was just getting up and when he saw you leaning over him teeth bared he froze. While you could use the power you received from your mother's family to transform into a oversized fox his was stripped from him. "-Name-..." You growled and took another step towards him. "I'm sorry but we only care about you."

Riku shifted towards you and Dai. You caught the movement and turned your attention to him "Leave Dai alone -Name-. There is nothing you can do about him he is right there is no reason for you to be like this. Kurama was not trying to scare you off." upon hearing Kurama's name you roared you had lost control of the beast you had turned into and leaped for Riku. You bounced back mid jump as a human looking fox stopped you. "Kurama...I don't…" Kurama ignored Riku and stepped closer to you.

"Whether you like it or not you have been claimed. I have claimed you so you are no longer the head of this family I have that right." In the red fog covering your mind something tried fighting back the haze. But you fought it and growled at Kurama. "There is no Ma'at here to help you he has his own family you are mine now I have claimed you and you will mate with me." you shook your head sending slobber all over everybody.

Looking directly at him you narrowed your eyes 'You didn't ask me.'

"I didn't have to. Did you not learn the ways of our species?"

That made you bristle the hair standing up on your back 'What are you saying?'

"That clearly your parents didn't teach you the traditional way for our species to choose our mates."

Dai moved slowly to stand next to Riku "What is he talking about?"

"He's putting her in her place. Dad let her do what she wanted when she was younger and now she is going to learn the hard way what it means to be a female fox demon."

"But…"

"Dad let you two pretty much run free and now she is going to pay for it."

'I choose who I want when I want and I don't want anybody'

"That my dear is where you are wrong you chose me to be your's and I claimed you. That is how our species works we chose each other and the male claims the female there is no asking like your brother did with my sister. Yes it can be done that way but you are out of control and I am going traditional on your ass."

You lunged for him and he disappeared from in front of you. You turned to see Yuna trying to escape and you knocked her down pinning her to the ground 'This is the end of you.' she tried everything to get out from under your paw but you didn't move and bit her 'My saliva is poisonous to you so you will die slowly and you can't find a cure there isn't one.'

You were so focused on Yuna that you didn't hear Kurama dropping from the ceiling to land on your back. You crashed to the floor and tried twisting he held you by your neck and didn't let go "Go back to your human form."

You jerked and moved but he didn't let go but the longer he held on the more the haze cleared. When you calmed down you went back to your human form. His arms were still wrapped around you and he waited until you looked up at him before saying anything. "Finish what you have to do here we are going home." he released you letting you up.

He stood and waited as you gathered what you needed as you walked by your uncle he grabbed your arm "You are mine -Name-"

"No. I've been claimed. Take him to Koenma"

Kurone, who had taken over holding him, nodded "If you need me -Name- call for me. I'm not scared of him."

"It was great seeing you again Kurone but you come near her without my permission I will kill you."

Kurone smiled "I never thought I'd see the day. I'll come visit you two lovebirds soon." he disappeared.

You opened a portal into your house and waited for everyone to step through before going through yourself and closing it. "I'm sorry Dai...I've never experienced anger like that since I was a child."

"The crystal you took with you where is it?" Kurama asked you. You held the cloth out to him but it wasn't glowing anymore. "Why isn't it glowing?"

"I don't know it was glowing before you showed up...I must have touched it without trying to."

"What does that mean?"

"I don't know...Uncle Artic told me that if I touched it I would gain my mother's power...but I don't feel any different." As soon as you finished that sentence you dropped to your knees pain shooting through your skull.

"-NAME-!" you heard voices but couldn't tell who was who because you were starting to lose consciousness.

"Has she awakened?"

"No." Kurama stood looking down at you his expression blank but inside he was torn between staying here by your side, strangling you, and leaving you to go find some answers.

"Why did you treat her like that back in Makai?" Riku was watching his reaction intently.

"She needs to learn discipline." his voice held no emotion.

"She does have discipline."

His hair flashed silver the only show of the anger simmering below the surface "In battle yes. But not of her powers nor of her emotions her emotions may have been diminished but they are there and taking on your mother's powers intentional or not will bring them back full force. She will feel things she wasn't able to feel before."

"What do you mean?"

"She basically had her emotions cut off her love and hatred were probably the first because those she didn't know how to handle on her own. You said it yourself she needed to feel like she was destroying herself to cope."

Riku shrugged "She's been the same since she was a child there was nothing we could do about it."

"You didn't know how...She needs a new way to cope."

"You think you can?"

Kurama turned glittering eyes on Riku "She is my problem now not yours."

Riku smiled, more a baring of his teeth, "You may have claimed her but she isn't a problem she never was. She was my parents world when she was a child. They loved me and Dai but -Name- was their only girl and they expected a lot out of her. She is the way she is because she has had to deal with a lot." Riku spun on his heel "And unlike my brother and sister my father did teach me the traditional way. If you hurt my sister I will kill you, you better take the best care of her or I will be coming to RELIEVE you of your PROBLEM." With that Riku stomped out of the room.

Kurama looked down at you sleeping seemingly peacefully and sat next to you on the bed.

Everything was tinted in red as you tried running. What you were running from you didn't know you just knew you needed to get away. You heart was pounding and you felt like you couldn't run fast enough. You heard pounding feet and looked over your shoulder to see a demon chasing you.

You thought you recognized the demon but weren't too sure so you kept running. When the demon tackled you to the ground you laid there looking into familiar green eyes. You knew who it was and it made your heart pound harder. You didn't understand what was going on though. When he stood and reached down to you, you hesitated it was too much this feeling that was crushing your chest was too much.

It took you a minute to realize that crushing in your chest was your emotions. The emotions that were stripped from you when you were just a child were back in full force and they were crushing you. The pain in your chest wouldn't let you breathe, but when you looked up into emerald green eyes it eased.

You knew those eyes but didn't know who they belonged to. Yet your heart yearned for the man that those eyes belonged to. Your mind screamed no but your heart was pushing you to take his hand you reached for his hand but a face flashed in front of your eyes before your hands connected and you jerked your hand back as horror filled your mind. You knew why your mind was screaming now. Your first friend that you ever made had flashed into your mind's eye reminding you why it was best for you to be alone away from everyone.

Kurama stood staring as you thrashed on the bed unable to help you. He didn't know what it was you were seeing but it couldn't be good. Over the last week as you laid in bed not moving very much as Dai and Riku force fed you soup and broth so that it would keep you from withering away it wasn't much but it would help. Shinji and Kiba would crawl into bed with you when they weren't with their parents but even that didn't affect you. Kurama was afraid that you wouldn't ever wake up.

When you settled down Kurama took a chance to leave you for a few minutes to go change he hadn't left your side since the day they brought you home and was still wearing the same thing he had thrown on. When he returned your bed was empty and he started to panic. He rushed down the hall to the stairs and yelled for Dai before rushing back to your room. When Dai skidded into the door he growled. "I stepped away for a few minutes to change...she was gone when I got back." he explained worry on his face.

It was Riku that said "She couldn't have gotten far let's spread out Mitsu stay with the boys." he then jumped out the window followed by Dai and Kurama. "She couldn't have gone far. Kurama you should be able to feel her. "

Kurama scowled "I tried that I think she's blocking me…if she is I didn't know that was possible."

"It might be all of the new emotions she's never had to deal with them they are probably overwhelming her."

"We'll have to track her down by scent then."

"Dai...she can mask her scent…"

You ran through the trees dodging them as you tried to get away from the house. You needed time to think you knew there was probably little time for you to get away and think but there was a chance that you could get some time away you were gonna try.

Hearing crashing behind you, you veered off down another path and stilled you were surprised that you remembered to hide your scent because when you had woken up you panicked and dashed out the window not thinking just reacting.

As you heard them continuing on you sat down to gather your thoughts...you were claimed now and there was nothing you could do about it. You knew getting involved with a fox was bad and now you would have to put the lives of your families in the hands of another and you didn't know if you could relinquish that control to anybody. Sighing you looked up to the sky staring at the stars.

You didn't know how to react around him now that you had your emotions back in full force. It had been so long since having them they were weighing heavily on your chest and mind. You sat there for a long while, you didn't know how long you sat there when you heard footsteps crunching through the trees behind you.

It was Kurama there was no mistaking his walk or his scent as it drifted to you on the wind. "I thought you would have disappeared." He said in greeting.

You didn't look at him as he sat next to you. "There is no point if I were to start now I wouldn't be able to stop even if I wanted to."

"Why?"

"Would you give up?"

"What?"

"Looking for me?"

He was silent for so long you thought he wouldn't answer "No."

"Why? Is it because I belong to you?"

"Partly."

You looked at him then narrowing your eyes at him but he refused to look at you. "Explain"

He sighed "Yes, but we belong to each other. Eventually you would have come back to me. We are now bound there is no going back -Name-."

"But you haven't claimed me…"

"I did...Yoko grew up long before everything changed and so I have those in my memories...therefore you were claimed."

"But…"

"I would have kept after you because you are special to me...you always have been -Name-...there was no question when I first met you there was something there even when you were so stand offish I felt something as if I knew you before...or maybe Yoko had."

"But I've never seen Yoko before the other night."

"That doesn't mean he never saw you….how did you meet Kurone?"

"While playing assassin for my uncle at one point."

"Did you still live in Makai? Or here?"

"Mostly in Makai...When we first moved here I snuck away for a few months in the beginning Dai never knew that's when I met Kurone"

"After you met me?"

"Just before we started going to school with you. Why?"

"Because I find it weird that he's never tried to find me…I thought he was dead all this time"

"Maybe he thought you were dead too."

"-Name- the first time I saw you it wasn't at school...it was when you took the boys out for ice cream one day I was there."

"So?"

"If he's the same way that he was back then...he would have had somebody following you if he was there when Yoko first saw you and he was never far from Yoko they were like two peas in a pod the only way was if he saw me and recognized me."

"How would he recognize you in this form?"

"My eyes are usually gold and my hair will flash white when I'm around you -Name-...it happened that first time too...if he was around you at all he would have seen that."

"Ok but that doesn't mean anything. We weren't together then."

"But if Yoko wanted you before he died Kurone would have known that...and if he saw you back then but didn't die he would have felt it was his duty to protect you...he would have found a way to insert his way into your everyday life eventually."

"You loved each other."

"Like brothers we were always together...and if he saw me he would have left you alone."

You stood and turned away from him calling over your shoulder "If you want to know just ask him."

He jumped to his feet following after you "What do you mean?"

"He's going to come and make sure that you aren't killing me so, bide your time and ask him."

"What do you want from us -Name-" You stopped abruptly and he ran into you grabbing a hold of you to keep you from falling to the ground "Sorry"

"I can't think about that right now...I'm….still processing...us…."

"Ok...I'll give you time…"

"Thanks"

It had been three days since you had woken up and you hadn't been alone since and it was pissing you off. You needed some time to yourself to think and they wouldn't let you leave. So here you were sitting on the window seat staring out at the forest "They must be afraid I'll disappear again. Stupid brothers." you signed.

"Maybe if you hadn't run off the first chance you got."

"Kurone!" You leaped up and rushed over to him stopping just short of jumping on him "I probably shouldn't do that anymore."

"No, I don't think that would be a good idea. There's a reason his eyes are green."

That made you laugh as you walked back to the window seat "So what brings you here? I figured you would steer clear for a few weeks or years."

Kurone followed her to the window seat and sat down. "Kurama doesn't scare me he's much gentler than when I knew him as Yoko."

You have him a thoughtful look "When did Yoko die?"

A look of pain crossed his face but he answered "It was probably 50 years in Makai or close enough. Since time passes different here than it does there I'm not exactly sure."

"Did he...did...Yoko see me before dying?" Kurone was silent so long you turned to look at him. "Kurone?"

Letting out a sigh he stood and crossed the room to look at something on one of the shelves before answering. "When you were a child you were out hunting with your father. He came across our band of thieves. He didn't know we were of course but, he was cautious when Yoko and I approached him." He turned back around to look at you. "Even as a child you were very powerful we could feel it radiating off you. You probably don't remember because you were so sad because you had killed your best friend."

"I remember dad taking me on that trip. He did it to try and cheer me up...I don't remember staying in a camp though."

"Its probably because you were on your way to remove your emotions. You were very upset that night."

"Yes, I was very distraught."

"Anyway you and your father asked to camp with us for the night since you weren't feeling well. It was one of the days Yoko wasn't being an ass. He granted your father permission and the next morning you two were off. But for some reason Yoko was intrigued by you. I didn't know what it was about you, you were very young and not even near your first heat." You smiled when his cheeks pinkened leave it for a demon that was hundreds of years old to be embarrassed about something as small as that. "But, he talked about you for weeks afterwards. Then the next time he saw you was right before he died." Kurone took a breath "We were doing recon for our mission that was coming up and he caught you bathing in the river where we had camped."

"That must have been right before my parents died."

He continued on as if you hadn't spoken "I recognized you immediately, he didn't, you had your back to us and seemed to be talking to someone off to the side."

"It was Dai he was watching over me."

"We didn't approach you but Yoko swore he would come find you after we completed our mission."

You gave him a blank stare "Don't you mean heist?"

Looking away he mumbled "It was a mission to us...didn't matter that we were thieving"

"Right. Anyway he never came for me."

"No we were betrayed and he fled here to the human world and was raised as a human."

You were silent for a while before asking "Did you know who I was when we met as assassins?"

"Yes"

"Why not say something then?"

"I thought him dead, so it didn't matter, but I did promise myself I would try and keep you safe for him. Seems I didn't need to."

You smiled softly "No you didn't"

"You should tell him -Name-"

"About what?" you turned to look at him.

"What happened with your uncle, why you feel like you can't love."

"You shouldn't even know about that."

"Well I do and I think that you need to tell him."

"Why? It's not like we're going to be together."

"Keep thinking that -Name-. One thing about Yoko, that I'm sure Kurama also has, he doesn't give up when he wants something. He wants you, even after death Yoko found you, and he has claimed you there is no going back -Name-. Even if you run he will find you...there's a reason he was a good thief as Yoko Kurama."

You sighed "I don't know if I can stop. When I think about it I feel like I'm trapped."

"Just talk to him. He's a lot more reasonable as Kurama than he was a Yoko. He wouldn't even dream of letting you out of his sight as Yoko if he knew of your reservations and I'm sure he knows."

You sighed "Yes, he knows." Standing you started walking to the door "Come Kurone let us go spar."

"Uh, no thanks, As I recall the last time you sparred with someone you ended up mated and I very much value my life."

Rolling your eyes you opened the door "You are such a pussy."

"Call me what you will, but if you wanna spar ask Kurama"

"Ask Kurama what?"

"Oh great timing ole buddy" Kurone said as he slipped past you and slapped him on the back "She wants a sparring partner and as I said I value my life."

Kurama gave him a blank stare "You could have sparred with her Kurone."

Walking backwards he grinned "Not on your life."

You watched as he disappeared down the stairs before closing your bedroom door and turning to Kurama "So...Want to go get your ass kicked?"

He stared at you for a minute before answering "Well if you insist on offering sure" You walked past him and started towards the stairs him following close behind you. "Did you get your answers?"

"Of course not. Does he ever give anything away that you don't already know?"

Laughing he opened the door for you and let you lead him in "No I suppose he doesn't" he closed and locked the door.

You turned a questioning look at him "Plan on trying to do more than train?"

Smiling at you he shook his head "Just being counter productive, the last time we were in here Ma'at showed up and we were interrupted."

"Oh." You stripped down to your exercise clothes and warmed up as you waited for him. There was so much on your mind you weren't acting like your usual self.

"So are you ready?" you looked over your shoulder at him he was standing there in just a pair of shorts looking oh so delicious.

"Yes, of course." you got into a fighting stance as he attacked trying to sweep your feet out from under you. "Explain something to me." you said as you dodged his attack.

"What?"

You hesitated before asking "You said that your claiming was traditional. I was taught that anal sex was how you claimed a mate now."

His attack faltered giving you an opening, you took it and put him flat on his back. Looking up at you from the floor he watched you carefully before answering. "While that is how most fox demons think that is how it should be now, the traditional way is always much stronger." he flipped himself back into a standing position. He started circling you and you followed him.

"How so?" you followed his movements as you waited for his response.

"It's more effective because in the past when female demons were promised to another clan they couldn't run away." You flinched a little it was exactly what you would have done if given the chance. "The way you were taught were from demons that were willing I assume. While that is effective enough, going traditional is always the best course of action." he attacked again landing a couple of punches to your sides before jumping out of your reach.

"So, telling Muziki about the anal thing was ok?"

He stopped circling you "What?"

While he was distracted you did a roundhouse kick hitting him in the chest knocking him into the wall behind him "Well when I first realized that she was mated to my brother I explained the claiming ritual to her that way because that's how it was explained to me."

He regained his balance and stared at you "Why were you explaining that?"

Blushing and without thinking you turned your back to him "Well, I had to know if he claimed her!" he tilted his head looking at your back thoughtfully. You made a fatal mistake turning your back to him. He snuck up behind you silently while you were talking and grabbed you from behind "What the...what are you doing?" you struggled against his strength but you couldn't break free. "See this is the reason that I don't tr-" he cut you off by spinning you in his arms and kissing you.

"Sorry you just looked so cute standing there I couldn't resist" He said after he pulled back. Blinking up at him like an owl you smiled shyly before pulling his head back down so you could kiss him again. When you both came up for air he looked down at you "Do have more to talk about?" you nodded "Then take a seat let's talk before anymore sparring."

Tilting your head you watched him walk to the door "Why not?"

He looked back at you after unlocking the door but didn't open it "Because it's all I can do not to drag you to the ground and drive my aching cock into you over and over to ease the pain." you could feel yourself turn bright red as he turned back to the door to holler for some food and drink. It gave you time to compose yourself before he turned back around. "We'll talk as soon as they bring food and drink."

"You sure didn't wait before taking over my staff." you said a little miffed

"You were unconscious -Name-" he sighed "Stop being so defensive."

"I'm not being defensive." there was a knock on the door and he sighed before walking over to get it. He took the refreshments and locked the door back.

"Sit. We can eat while we talk." you nodded and poured you some of your favorite drink and you smiled to yourself it must have been Ito he was such a good butler. "How did you kill your best friend as a child?" You jerked spilling your drink all over your hand "Sorry I figured I could start."

"It's fine" you said as you wiped your hand on a napkin "I just wasn't expecting that question. I lost control of my powers. We were playing together and it just happened one minute she was following me the next she was gone."

"Is that when you started your journey to remove your emotions?"

"No it was much later, I learned to suppress my emotions until that journey."

"How?"

"I turned into a cold and distant child. I had heard the stories of how they locked away my mother's powers I was determined to keep mine under my control and I succeed until I met my uncle for the first time." you grabbed a sandwich off the plate and leaned back against the wall.

"What happened then?"

"He fell in love with me the first time I met him. He didn't know I was his niece at first, not that it mattered once he did find out, anyway well I kind of used his feelings to get search for what I needed."

"What was that?"

"I never figured it out. When I found out he was my uncle I left and went into hiding for a while."

"Is that when he killed your father?"

"Yes." You set the sandwich back on the plate and looked up at the ceiling "He destroyed my family. I honestly only lived because my father locked away my emotions."

Kurama stared at you for a long while. "For getting your emotions back you are doing pretty well."

Giving him a sidelong look you shrugged you weren't going to tell him you were still having issues with your newfound emotions it was all you could do to keep from collapsing into a fit of hysterics. But you were stronger than that you wouldn't succumb to them even if it killed you in the process. "My meeting my uncle is what made it hard for me to love."

Kurama jerked he hadn't expected you to speak about that. "What…"

"Loving my family comes easily to me. Looking back when I first met Mitsu and the boys I guess I subconsciously knew that they were my family because I let them into my heart quickly which never happens even with Kurone. I feel nothing for him even the friendship I know we have I don't feel it even when I want to. That's the fault of my uncle."

"How?"

"Before I found out my uncle was my uncle. I had spent some time with him. He tried keeping me from all the bad things he was doing but I still saw it and he unknowingly he taught me that loving someone is to use their love against them."

"But…"

You stood abruptly "Done yet?"

Kurama sighed 'I guess she's done talking about it' "Yes."

You didn't give him a chance to get up before attacking him. He dodged it flipping backwards. "Can't give a man a break can you?"

"I see no man here."

Kurama grasped his chest in the vicinity of his heart and grimaced "Ouch you know how to hit a guy where it hurts don't you?"

You flashed him a grin "Of course! I wasn't called a heartbreaker for nothing"

"A heartbreaker huh?" he started circling around you and you followed him keeping him in your sights.

"Definitely." You attacked him again this time aiming for his feet trying to get him on his back again but his arms dropped around your waist and pulled you down on top of him. Locking you to his chest. "You cheated. You let me get close so you could grab me."

"Leaving you an opening to get close to you is just strategy."

You glared at him before trying to sit up. "Ok you can let go of me."

"What if I don't want to?"

"I'll kill you."

He grinned and flipped you over "You can try. I don't know if you could succeed if I'm giving you enough pleasure you forget."

"I doubt that could happen."

"Is that a challenge?"

"Is that what you want it to be?"

"I've overcome any challenge presented to me. Do you want me to show you?"

You stared at him for a long moment not sure how to answer that. Deep down you wanted to tell him yes but you knew that once he cracked your armor there would be no going back and you weren't sure if you were ready to submit to him in any way even sexually. You opened your mouth to answer him when there was a knock on the door and you felt him growl before stood pulling you with him to stalk to the door. Throwing it open he quirked an eyebrow at the twins standing on the other side. "Did you two need something?"

Kiba pushed Shinji forward and Shinji glared back at his brother before turning to Kurama. "Well...Kiba and I...we…"

Kiba huffed and stepped forward in front of his brother "Can you show us your other form?"

You groaned and started towards the boys "Kiba and Shinji -Last Name- that is rude." you stopped before them with your hands on your hips.

"But Dai said it was awesome! We just wanna see it!"

You narrowed your eyes and opened your mouth to berate him when a new voice stopped you "It's not a problem to show them" eyes wide you turned towards Kurama.

Seeing him without the red haze covering your vision you had to shake your self. You remembered him now and it scared you. You saw him more than they knew. Looking back you should have known he would be the only one for you since you loved him before your emotions had been taken away. You nodded and stepped aside for the boys to walk past. "I'll just head back up stairs."

Yoko….Kurama or whatever his name was at the time narrowed his eyes "Are you planning on running again?" he said it as more of a statement than a question but you answered any way.

"No just going to think. Take your time don't rush." After reaching the stairs you ran to your room and opened the window gulping in the cool air and letting it wash over you. "I'm doomed." You said to yourself you knew he had felt familiar but to be the first one you ever fell in love with was a stretch but, you knew it to be true.

Dai walked in shortly after you did. "What are you doing?"

Looking up at him you sighed "Nothing just sitting here."

"I'm surprised you are still here."

"What's the point of running? He will just come after me."

"Probably."

Giving him a sidelong glance you nodded "I couldn't escape even if I wanted to."

"Why? You know if you wanted to me and Riku would help you."

Smiling you shook your head. "It's not that simple Dai. He's my first love."

"How so? What abo-"

"When dad and I took that trip to try and cheer me up after killing Ai we stayed with his camp. I was pretty gone at that point but I remember hearing his voice and thinking to myself how lovely his voice sounded. I didn't know who he was or what he looked like until the next day when we were leaving. After that I followed him and his camp for a few weeks before dad decided it was time to take away my emotions. I could only get so close to him before he saw me but listening to his voice and being near him was enough at the time."

"You fell in love with him"

Looking him directly in the eye you nodded "Yes."

"Then why all of this mess?"

"I didn't recognize him...although I should have Kurama may not be as overbearing as Yoko was but it's still there. That's why he could subdue me."

Dai nodded "I had wondered about that. Last time it took dad , Ma'at,and Riku to stop you. But I took it as he claimed you."

"Doesn't matter, my emotions had been restored. Despite the fact that he claimed me it wasn't my muted or non existent emotions I was feeling. It was full blown raw emotions."

"Muted?" Dai asked confused.

"Yes, you can't fully take away certain emotions. Anger and love can't be taken away fully just muted. I couldn't really feel them but they were still there."

"I don't understand."

"Anger and love are two of the strongest emotions most people have. Well at least for me they were. When a person feels with certain emotions strongly they can't be muted. For example people that are jealous of others but may not anger easily would still feel the jealousy faintly but wouldn't feel anger at all. It really depends on the person."

"Ok, I think I understand."

You shrugged "If not you are SOL because I don't know any other way to spell it out for you."

"Hey! Don't be an ass!"

"Well act like you have some sort of sense."

He glared at you and stomped out of the room just as Kurama was walking down the hall he stepped into the room and shut the door with a quiet click before leaning against it and asking "What was that about?"

You snorted "He's mad cause I told him he had no sense." Instead of answering you he tilted his head to the side and just stared at you before you sighed loudly "What do you want to say?"

"You are much different now."

You didn't pretend to not understand but instead turned to look out the window "So are you. I didn't think you would remember."

"I don't really. Only dreams I've had previously. You didn't."

"I don't look completely different than my former self. I'm still the same."

"You didn't look like your former self when we met either."

"No but I've looked like that since you found out what I am and who I was yet you said nothing."

"I wasn't sure. I never saw you in the dreams which I'm assuming is because I never saw you in the past either even though I felt you."

"Yes. Which is odd you shouldn't have known I was there at all. By the time I was following your camp around like a sick cub I had perfected hiding in plain sight."

He walked to stand beside you before responding "It's not hard to find you if you know what you are looking for. Besides, I wasn't prepared to take you on as a mate then even if you were at an age where I could have claimed you. I was still in thief mode. I saw you once while you were following us...according to the dreams at least...You were bathing in the river near where we camped and I came up on you as you stood out of the water. Your face was covered by your hair but the rest of you wasn't. I knew then I had to stop. The last heist I went on before I was betrayed and killed was supposed to be my last cause I was coming to claim you no matter what, I would have waited if I needed to until you were of an age to be claimed but, you were mine and I wasn't going to let anyone keep me from you."

You stood there for a long moment before turning to him "You not coming for me was the best. I was so fucked up in the head I wouldn't have let you near me. Even though being near you calmed me for a few weeks I noticed it wasn't working as effectively as it first did that's when I got my father to go remove my emotions. Better I didn't kill someone else I loved with my out of control emotions."

"What about now? Are you having issues controlling them?"

"I will at times until I get used to emotions again. But for now I've got them under control."

"Good then answer me one question." he turned to look you in the eyes "Do you love me?"

You wanted to look away from him but couldn't you knew you had to answer him now or you wouldn't have the courage later. You were going to drive him crazy at times but not admitting them to yourself or even him wouldn't do you any good. "Yes. From the moment I heard your voice as that scared little girl I did. Even if I didn't know it at the time."

He stared for a minute before pulling you into his arms to kiss you. When you pulled away from him and he smiled down at you "Remember that when I piss you off in the future."

"Do you love me?"

He looked at you for a few minutes for responding "Yes. Twice now I've fallen for you at least this time I can keep you."
