Vanir Argent
I had forgotten what Uther sounded like, his voice was severe, his hair and beard has gone grey in the last few years most likely from the stress of running a paramilitary organization and the fact that he had lost several family members over the course of this damn war. "Deaths im responsible for." I thought to myself as the four of us stopped walking and drew our weapons. I could already hear the sound of combat below us, Uther wouldn't have any backup for a while at least.
"Finally, we can end this farce." Uther said, his voice severe and gravely. I kept my breathing even as he stood up from the seat at the head of a table with twelve seats the spanned the length of the upper deck of the bridge. "Father, you can still stop this. Stand down and no one else has to die today." Mordred said, I scoffed, no way was the old man gonna stand down just because we asked nicely. Both Uther and I sighed at Mordred plea. "I'd rather not agree with him on anything Mordred." I said, keeping Gram aimed at Uther, he had already drawn his sword and his shield was ready to block any surprise attack.
"I agree with the Mongrel, lets get this over with." Uther said, before we had a chance to react he already fired several bullets from a gun on the bottom side of his shield. "MOVE!" I shouted while changing the width of Gram to block any that came my way, Iota stood behind me while Niren and Mordred both moved to the edges of the room. "Go." I said after the sound of bullets stopped for a moment, Iota nodded and ran out from the cover I had provided. Niren had begun to fire his own weapon at Uther and Mordred had also begun to advance, I raised my right arm and began to fire a few shots from it. The beam traveled over Iotas head and began to hit the area around Uther, the bastard even sidestepped a few of them, most of Nirens shots had been blocked by that shield of his too. I returned Gram to it normal length and width before rushing towards Uther, He had already blocked attacks from Iota and Mordred, they had him pinned down at the moment "Keep him there!" I shouted, aiming Gram for his abdomen.
"Worthless!" Uther snarled, shoving Mordred back with his shield and then pinning Iotas blade on the large table before swinging his shield around to hit her in the face, sending her to the ground, after that he turned to parry my thrust. "You get the honor of dying in the same way my son died mongrel." Uther said as he threw me backwards on the table, I had little time to react to his next move, he had attempted to cut me from shoulder to groin, I barely managed to sidestep his blade and bring Gram up to try and cut his arm off at the elbow, Utherkicked me in the stomach and hopped down from the table as I stood back up, Gram raised. "How vexing the Lucas trained you and my sons so well." Uther spat, scraping his sword against the edge of his shield and holding the sword to his left with the shield being held in front of him.
"Is that a compliment?" I asked before moving to the left side of the room, trying to put some distance between myself and the table, it wouldn't do to have him use it against me. "An insult to be sure." Uther replied before charging forward, swinging his shield to try and knock me back before bringing his sword down on my head, I managed to block his shield with my right arm and his sword with Gram, I hit Uther's head with my own, trying to disorient him for a moment before he kicked me in between my legs and followed up with a quick shield bash that sent me to the ground. "A paltry attempt, but not unappreciated." I chuckled while also gritting my teeth, the old bastard hit hard but didn't see the others creeping up on him. "Now!" I shouted, Iota, Mordred, and Niren all attacked Uther at the same time, Uther once again blocked two of his three attackers, Iota was able to stab him in the shoulder while he kept Niren and Mordred from doing any damage. I moved back and stood back up, ignoring the pain from that kick.
"You don't have the will to kill me." Uther said before dropping to his knees and sweeping Nirens legs out from under him, he then threw mordred back and removed Iotas katana from his shoulder before advancing on Mordred. "Pathetic." He said before swinging his sword and cutting Mordred across his torso, the armor he wore probably saved him from being killed but it still looked like it hurt. "You I will end quickly my wayward son." Uther said, putting a boot on Mordred's back and lifting his sword to try and stab him, I glanced over at Iota who had picked up her sword and nodded at her, she seemed to understand what I wanted to do. Just as Uther was about to stab Mordred his blade was blocked by Iotas katana, she had managed to reach the two faster than I could, I activated my right arm and fired a blast at his shield arm, smiling as he damn thing was ripped from his arm and landed several feet away, a hunk of melted steel.
"Not bad." Uther uttered before he shifted his gaze between Iota and I. "you will be the first then." He said as his gaze settled on Iota, who was still struggling with his sword. I watched as he kicked Iota a few feet away from him and Mordred and felt the air move as several of Nirens shots flew past me each one of them hitting Uther but having little effect because of his damn aura. While Uther was kept busy trying to avoid Nirens attack I lifted Gram and swung at him from the left, Uther ducked to avoid having his body cut in half and swept my own legs from underneath me, I tasted blood as I bit my own tongue and rolled over quickly to avoid being stabbed in the head, Uther was about to try stabbing me again when a few more bullets bounced off his aura, followed by Niren jumping over the table and swinging Gungnir in a wide arc that Uther side stepped before thrusting his sword at Niren, the blade grazed the front of his armor and I saw sparks fly before standing up and joining my brother in his attack, we had to keep Uther on the defensive. The next few moments stretched into what felt like hours as Uther danced around our attacks and countered with his own and we countered with our own, Niren would from time to time fall to a knee and fire a few shots at close range, still trying to crack Uther's aura, while my own attacks would be blocked by his own sword, or my stomach would have his boot forced into it.
" Damn." I said after we disengaged him, both of us were out of breath from several hours of fighting and the fight we just got out of. "Not bad, I think Lucas didn't fall because of luck at the least." Uther said, he seemed perfectly fine for an old man who just fought two people at least twenty years younger than himself. "Oh shut it." I growled, holding gram up and taking a moment to check it for major damage, there was one large crack running along the middle of the blade. "Not good." I thought to myself, Niren looked about ready to collapse, and the sound of combat had died down in the deck below us. "Ah, I wonder who is winning down there?" Uther asked, looking in the same direction we had been looking.
"It might be better to use something a bit more...flashy." Uther said, drawing my own attention back to him as he slowly sheathed his sword and took up a stance I had seen used by fighters that favored the katana and some of the more flashy styles. "Stop him." Niren said, I moved forward to try and stop Uther from doing whatever he had planned, however my leg buckled under me, my body felt like lead. "Ah the wonders of being able to plant an idea in ones head that they cannot refuse until I allow it." Uther said, his usual calm tone was laced with joy. "Damnit, his Semblance." I said, Uther must've used it during our duel, with a single idea the bastard managed to make our bodies wear out even more. "Now, perish." He said before rushing forwards, his blade flew out of its sheath and I felt the slash break my own aura and rend my armor even more than it already had been. The same could be said for Niren, I heard him fall to the ground as well.
"There is no need for a True King to speak his commands in a way that makes his followers obey, he need only say it for them to do as he commands." Uther said, standing tall over the two of us. "Damn Semblance of yours doesn't leave much room to maneuver does it?" I asked, feeling warmth spread across my chest, the bastard had gotten past even the stuff below the half plate. "No, it doesn't" Uther replied, before drawing his blade to parry Iotas strike, she had managed to stand up and attack after seeing niren and I go down it seemed.
"Die." Uther said, Iotas eyes widened before her body went limp and she slumped to the floor, she was still breathing though. "Iota!" I shouted, I rolled over to try and get back on my feet to try and help her, but my limbs felt like lead and refused to move how I needed them to. "You dare to strike me? You, a mongrel not even worth a seat in the Knights of the Round?" Uther said as he stood over Iota, his blade aimed at her heart. "No!" I shouted as she looked over at me and smiled, my vision began to blur as I saw he eyes widen and a tear fall from them as Uther's blade pierced her heart.
Uther Pendragon
I felt no satisfaction at killing the woman at my feet, however hearing The Mongrel howls like the beast he was brought a smile to my face. "Such is the fate of those who stand against the knights." I said as I turned once more to face my son and the two traitors, I raised my sword to finish off Niren, he had been loyal for as long as it suited him, but killing him would cause the same measure of pain to The Mongrel that he gave me by taking Morgana and Arthur from me. As for Mordred, I planned on keeping him around for a few more years at least. "Prepare yourself." I said as my blade hovered just above his heart.
"Father!" Mordred shouted before tackling me, he had tossed aside his sword in favor of trying to force me off my feet, all he did was push me a few feet away from his ally. "Stay down son." I said after hitting his back with my elbow several times and he fell. "Now, where was I?" I asked the three men before me, Niren had started to stand up. "Ah yes, your de-" I was interrupted by a sudden numbness in my sword arm, I looked down to see that it was...missing. "What?" I asked, turning to look in the direction that my blood had gone.
The Mongrel held my arm in the metal monstrosity on his right side, a blade located at the wrist was covered in blood, clearly he had managed to sever it before I had chance to react. "Your going to die in agony for that." He said, pointing his greatsword at the woman's corpse.
"Bastard Mongrel!" I yelled, picking up my blade and assuming a stance that favored my current state, I had to finish him before the pain set in. The Mongrel had no banter for me now, only heavy attacks that kept me on the defensive, and missing an arm I found myself hard pressed to try and get the few attacks I did get in. "Die Die Die!" The Mongrel said, over and over again, my Semblance no longer had an effect on him it seemed. Just as he broke off from his barrage of sword attacks I felt my stomach be crushed by the weight of his metal fist, I was sent flying into the table and had started to stand when one of my legs was severed, leaving me on the table, in a pool of my own blood which was slowly growing.
I saw the golden eyes on the beast responsible for the state I was in, the creature that took not only an arm and a leg but also my family. I felt only despair at the fact that he wouldn't die. "KILL ME YOU MONGREL!" I shouted, feeling nothing but hate for the beast, it only looked at me and blinked, its eyes changing from gold to blue and it uttered "This kill isnt mine."

I stood looking at the ruined form of Uther Pendragon and for once felt something other than hate towards him. "This kill isnt mine." I said and began to sheath Gram when I saw Uther lifting his hand, and saw the small handgun it held, he pulled the trigger and I raised Gram to block it, the bullet connected with the flat of the blade and surprisingly made the large crack in the middle expand even more, until Gram eventually broke in two. "Mordred, finish this." I said, numbly looking at the broken blade that served as the instrument of my vengeance for years, and put the broken blade in its sheath and went to help Niren up, and to collect Iotas body.
"Mordred? Whats the situation up there?" I heard Malacci say from down below, I looked over at Niren and he nodded before running over to the railing to relay a message to the other below, I noticed the battle below us and outside had died down to near silence the familiar calm after a battle had begun to settle on me. Of course that meant burying the dead, burying Iota, a woman who tried to act as a mother to me for several years, who was excited at the idea of her allies living a life free of killing humans. I looked at her dead form and ran my flesh and blood hand over her eyes, closing them and wiping the blood from the corner of her mouth and picking up her sword and her body, she wouldn't be food for the Grimm below this damned ship.
"Goodbye, Father." Mordred said as I walked by him and his fathers fresh corpse. "Im sorry." I said, noticing the look on his own face was one that I knew well, someone who had no one left. "Lets get off this ship." He replied, I only nodded my agreement, Mordred looked at Iota "Let me carry her sword." He said. I adjusted her long katana so he could grab it and we walked over to the railing where Niren stood and saw the other below, looking positively tired from the fight they just finished.
"Someone get some Bullhead in here so we can leave." I said, finally getting a look outside, the ship had begun to list heavily to the right and we could see the ocean getting nearer, as well as the wrecks of whatever ships chose to keep fighting being drawn under the waves by massive sea based Grimm. "Its finally over." I sighed, a small smile forming on my bloodstained face.
Finally had a chance to write the ending for this story so I could move on to actually writing a hopefully better fanfic for RWBY that still has the characters i've made in it, Knightfall was primarily done to give me time to figure out how I wanted things to go after Volume three finished and Im well aware some people may not have cared much for it. but to the people who did read this and kinda enjoyed it, thank you and im sorry for trying to get my sudden desire to just drown characters in blood out of the way so i can try to be a bit more grounded later.
