Chapter Nine

It was already gym class. All of my classes before this went in a blur. School was almost over. In gym we had to have a one-on-one match. We got to choose our partners. I was deciding to partner up with Blaine, when I heard some call my name. I turned around and saw that it was Daren. He was heading towards my direction. He said that since we have to pick partners, that he would be my partner. Especially since we have that DEAL. I shook my head.

Ms. Smith asked if there was a team who were ready. I was shocked when Daren said that he and I were ready. She said that the matt was all ours. We took our stance. I don't know much about wrestling so every time he came my way I dodged it. Instinctively though. Then my gut told me to grab him and throw him over my shoulder. I did. Then my gut told me to go on top of him. I followed my gut. That was really strange. This only happened when I'm in some kind of trouble. Sometimes. When Ms. Smith finished counting to three she announced the winner.

"Ladies and gentlemen" she said as if she was at a stadium "the victor of this match is none other than Clover Matthews." Then everyone cheered.

"I…" Darren began to say. We turned around to look at him. He continued "I can't accept this. She's just a little BRAT. HOWONEARTHCOULDSHEHAVEBEATENME,DARREN,CAPTAINOFTHEWRESTLINGTEAM?"

What he said seriously hurt me. Then I said "Haven't I already proven to you, that I'm stronger? You know what forget it. I really don't care anymore." I felt really pissed off. I knew that I was going to begin shedding tears of anger. Blaine also knew this and came my way. Then I said "You can have the win if you want. If it'll make you happy, I'll tell the whole school who's stronger. I just want to get out of here. Also, what you said really hurt. Actions might not hurt someone, but words do, Darren, words do."

"Blaine." I said. He didn't need me to say anymore than what I already said. He completely understood. He came my way and gave me a hug. I cried. He led out of the gymnasium. Then the others turned around and faced him. They all looked really mad.

"Darren," said Cloe. She's one of the other friends that Sam, Alex and I made on the first day of school. She almost has the same hairstyle and color that I do, but her eye color is different. She has hazel color eyes. "what you said was really obnoxious. Which is very, no highly emblematic of you."

"Emblem-what?" he asked.

"Emblematic." she said again. He was bout to say something, but she interrupted him. "It's a synonym for typical."

"I know what it is." he said quickly.

"Right." she said sarcastically.

Then Blaine brought me back into the gymnasium. Everyone saw that I was okay and they all heaved a sigh. Then the bell rang. Everyone decided to just get their regular clothes and leave in their school gym clothes. I did the same. Blaine was outside of the locker room waiting for me. He walked me to my locker. When I was done and closed my locker. We headed home. Sam, Dean, Alex and Virgil met us outside.

As we walked to our house, no one made conversation. Then I heard someone call my name. I turned around to see who it was and then I felt an impact. I saw that it was Normy. He gets out of school five minutes before we do. He let go of me and looked up. I saw that he was smiling. Then I noticed that Rose came too. She looked a little, nope scratch that, not a little, but a lot out of breath. We all continued walking. Normy just kept on hugging me, but then he settled for holding both mine and Blaine's hand. He smiled like a little boy, who was with his parents. I knew that he missed his parents. When we reached the house I motioned for all them to go inside the house.
