"He's perfect Livvie, thank you" Fitz said as he placed a tender kiss on his wife's forehead. Fitz looked at his wife lovingly, as they had finally reached a perfect ending to a very eventful day.

The moment Liv's water broke, all of the adults in the auditorium went into a panic. The kids were pretty much rooted in place, as they were all afraid of receiving an office referral. Luckily for Fitz, Tom had a feeling something like this would happen, and an ambulance driven by military personnel was already waiting outside to assist them to the hospital. Tom was able to get Liv, Fitz as well and Dani, Four and Karen out of the school in under six minutes.

The ride which took all of eight minutes, seemed like hours to Fitz as Liv was literally squeezing his hand until it was turning blue. He tried reminding Liv of the techniques she brushed up on in Lamaze class, but that only earned him her painfully hard grip on his balls.

While Liv and Fitz made their way to the hospital, the kids were taken back to the house with Karen, as Fitz wasn't sure how long it would be before Liv actually delivered. She laid into him for making that call, but a contraction hit her hard and she quickly forgot her anger as she whimpered for her husband again.

After 16 hours of labor, Gabriel Nicholas Grant entered the world at 9 lbs., 15 oz. So far from what they could tell, he was all Fitz, except he had slightly fuller lips. Where Dani and Four were the perfect blend of the both of them, Gabriel clearly had Fitz's eye shape, his eyebrows, his nose, cheeks, even his chin. He was bald just like Fitz was when he was born, and his bright blonde eyelashes and eyebrows held no clue as to whether or not they'd remain light, but based on Fitz and Four, they were sure his hair would come in light, and darken over time. Although Dani and Four's hair did the exact opposite. His complexion was much fairer than Dani or Four's had been when they were born. It was clear that Fitz's genes overpowered with this one.

Liv and Fitz were currently sitting on the bed, stalking the little boy's every twitch as he had yet to open his eyes. Liv prayed his eyes would be brown. She hoped there'd be something on her newest baby that proved she had actually birthed him. But at the rate things were going, she was beginning to think Fitz won this round. As of right now, Gabriel looked like Fitz had just cloned himself.

"This is so not fair! I carried him for almost nine months, you'd think he'd have something of me in him." Liv said frustrated over the fact that she seriously couldn't find a single one of her features in her newborn son.

"Technically he has your milk in him." Fitz said jokingly, earning him a slap on the chest.

"I'm serious Fitz! Why doesn't my baby look like me?" Liv asked as she began to cry. If it wasn't for the fact that this baby was 100% Fitz, Liv would've had Tom scouring the hospital by now, looking for her child. She knew she was being irrational, but her hormones wouldn't allow her to care.

This was the part of childbirth that Fitz didn't welcome. Liv had suffered terrible post-partum depression after the twins, and every little mishap or wrong wording, made her break out in tears. He was praying this was just a moment and not something more. Fitz was about to say something when he noticed Gabriel beginning to open his eyes.

"Yassss! They're bluish gray. He's all me...shit!" Fitz thought to himself as he waited for his wife's response.

Liv looked into their son's eyes for the first time and immediately began to cry. "Fitz, he's gorgeous. He's 100% you and he's perfect." Liv responded with a squeal as she leaned up and was rewarded with Fitz's lips pressed against hers. That wasn't the response Fitz was waiting for, but, he'd gladly take it over the alternative.

Liv wanted to call Karen and have her bring Dani and Four over to meet their brother, but it was late and she wanted them to rest after the day they had. It isn't everyday your father, the former president and mother have to rush from your school assembly because your mother went into labor on stage in front of half the school. The kids definitely needed their rest. Fitz glanced over at the clock on the wall, and realized it was nearing 3 in the morning.

"Honey, we should probably try to get some sleep." Fitz said as Gabriel was now sleeping. Liv hesitated for a moment before placing him into Fitz's arms, allowing him to lay Gabe down in his portable crib.

Once he was settled, Fitz returned to the bed where Liv happily scooted over, allowing for Fitz to lay down with her. He wrapped her up as tightly as he could in his arms, and kissed the top of her head.

"You were amazing today." Fitz stated proudly as he knew there were so many emotions that she had been dealing with.

"You were amazing yourself. I'm sorry for putting you in the ball buster earlier. I promise to make it up to you once we get out of this place."

"Hmmm... Six weeks, remember?" Fitz responded although he realized that he had just shot himself in the foot.

"Six weeks for vaginal intercourse. If you remember after the twins were born, we can always do other things."

"Hmmm... I like the sound of that. But let's sleep before Olitz wakes up. Especially since you're not physically able to put him back to sleep." Fitz said as they both looked down and noticed the erection forming in his pants. Liv let out a soft laugh before pressing her lips to Fitz's. They kissed until they absolutely had to part for air. Once they separated, Liv rested her head on Fitz's chest, and they both drifted off to sleep.

Karen sat in the kitchen, reflecting on everything that has occurred since her father decided to run for president. She knew for a very long time that her parents weren't happy in their marriage. They never acted like her friend's parents acted. They didn't kiss or hug, or joke around like she had witnessed when she spent the night with friends. She hadn't witnessed her father smile, really smile, like teeth bearing contagious smile until Liv came along.

Karen remembered how Liv was always so good to her when Mellie would summon her to participate in some appearance on the trail. She secretly wished that she wasn't an only child as she hated enduring these events alone. Karen would be uprooted from the comfort of her room at boarding school, to take a few pictures and be ignored by her mother for the rest of the day.

She always hated having to make an appearance, that is until Liv came along. She always seemed busy, busier than everyone else including Cyrus and Fitz, but she always made time for Karen. Whenever Karen was around, Liv ate all of her meals with her, and even helped her with her homework. At night they would sit in Karen's room, and just talk about whatever Karen wanted to talk about. She wasn't old and stiff like everyone else, and she even treated Karen as if she were an important part of the team. She taught her how to read the polls, and even allowed her to help pick out Fitz's clothing when no one was around.

Liv was Karen's hero, so it was only natural that Karen followed her around, or watched her every move. That is how Karen noticed how Liv truly felt about her father and he - her, well before anyone else knew.

Karen noticed when Liv and Fitz were in a room together, they smiled were brighter, and their laughter was real. When Fitz found out Liv was spending so much free time with Karen, he began to join them which was something that never happened with her mom. It was a week before the election when Karen began distancing herself from both Liv and Fitz. When they confronted her about it, she told them that she wanted to get used to not having happy family moments anymore. She knew once Fitz won the election, life would go back to boarding schools until holiday, and being stuck in her room for fear of getting in the way.

That was how things were in the beginning, especially after Liv left the White House. But after Fitz was shot, her family came back with a vengeance, and Danny, Four, and now Gabriel were part of the mix.

Karen thought of her siblings and how important they were in her life. When she had made the decision to accept Tyler's marriage proposal, she knew immediately that Dani and Four would be perfect as their flower girl and ring bearer. She was right, they were perfect. Now with Gabe officially being introduced to the world, Karen placed her hand on her flat stomach, and couldn't help but smile as she thought of the little one that was growing inside of her. She had planned to tell her parents after the assembly, but Gabe had other plans.

Even with the arrival of her youngest brother 4 weeks early, Karen was glad to be able to spend this uninterrupted time with Dani and Four.

When they came back to the house after leaving the school, the three of them quickly changed into something more comfortable, and spent the day vegging out on the couch, while enjoying a Disney & Pixar movie marathon. Neither kid had given her any arguments when she decided to order pizza for dinner, and she even allowed them to prank call Tyler at their home in New Hampshire. Her life had changed so much in the past 11 years, and she owed it all to Liv.

"Karey?"

Karen turned and saw Dani standing in the doorway, rubbing her eyes. She walked over to her younger sister and knelt down before her, and placed a kiss on her forehead.

"What are you doing up, Dani Banani?"

"I couldn't sleep. Did you hear from Mommy and Daddy yet? Is the baby here? Is it a boy or a girl?" Dani asked, firing of questions much faster than any child should be at 3 in the morning.

"Dad called not too long ago. He said to let you and Four sleep. Gabriel was born an hour ago, and I know your mom needed to rest, so dad said we can meet him in the morning."

Karen watched as Dani's tired eyes lit up upon hearing about her new baby brother. Even though she wanted a sister, brothers weren't that bad, and she already had the best big sister there was.

"Why don't you go lay down and try to get some more sleep." Karen suggested as Dani was beginning to fall asleep standing up.

"Can I lay down with you in your bed?"

"Sure. You can sleep in my room tonight." Karen said as she grabbed Dani's hand, and the two of them went upstairs and climbed into her bed. They were asleep in seconds.

Fitz woke up to the sounds of Liv crying in his arms. He held her tighter and looked down, only to realize she was still asleep.

"Fitz, please wake up. I love you so much. I promise I won't run..."

"Please come back to me, I need you..."

"Fitz, you've got to pull through. We have babies and jam to make..."

"Fitz..."

"FITZ!"

Fitz's heart broke as he knew Liv was dreaming of when he was shot. It was one of the worries he had when he was asked to do this speech. Not wanting to startle her awake, Fitz began peppering soft kisses on her face, and running his hand up and down her arm.

"I'm here Livvie, I'm not going anywhere, I promise."

Liv began to slowly open her eyes, and realized Fitz was staring back at her. He wasn't there for the first set of nightmares that occurred after he was shot, and she was embarrassed that he had witnessed this moment. She tried to turn away from him, but he held her a little tighter in his arms.

"Baby, it's ok. I know today was stressful and brought back a lot of painful memories, but I'm here and I'm not going anywhere." Liv looked into Fitz's eyes and felt a sense of peace wash over her. She simply nodded and returned her head to his chest. She was asleep in seconds.

"Ok, so what do you guys want for breakfast?" Karen asked as Dani and Four came rushing down the stairs. They had all slept longer than they intended to, and they were now rushing so they could go meet their ban brother.

"I want cereal in a baggie!" Dani yelled

"I want pop tarts!" Four responded.

Karen walked into the pantry and grabbed the unopened box of cereal and a pack of pop tarts. She yelled "Toss Across" as she threw the cereal and the box of baggies to Dani, and the pop tarts to Four (who both surprisingly caught them), while she was making a mad dash towards the fridge.

She grabbed the milk and filled the kid's spill proof cups, while grabbing a bagel and cream cheese for herself. Dani and Four loved having Karen at home. The only other time food went flying across the kitchen for breakfast, was when they were running late for school, and Fitz was in charge of taking them.

"Karey, you are so much fun! Just like daddy! Mommy never lets us throw food even in the wrappers!" Dani said as she struggled to fill her baggie with cereal.

"So we just won't tell mom." Karen said as she winked and helped Dani fill her bag with Fruit Loops.

Once they all had their breakfasts ready to go, the three of them made their way to the car, where Tom was patiently waiting. When he saw the three of them barreling towards the car, he already knew what kind of morning it had been for the siblings. He shook his head in amusement, and opened the door of the car as each child came running towards him, and jumped in.

When they arrived at the hospital, Dani took off for the elevators. Although she had no idea where she was going, she often times like to make Tom panic and chase after her. As Tom, Karen, and Four ran to catch up with Dani, they felt a sense of panic as Dani slammed into someone around the corner, and was knock onto the floor.

"Cool! Did you see how far she slid?" Four yelled as they continued to catch up with Dani.

"I WANT MY DADDY!" Dani began to cry as she was shaken up from her incident. She never looked up, so she didn't realize that was exactly who she ran into. Fitz hurried to Dani's side, and scooped her up into his arms.

"Shhhh baby, daddy's here." Fitz replied in a hushed tone as he rocked his daughter in his arms. Realizing that Tom probably had a gun pointed at his head as he had yet to reveal himself in his scrubs, Fitz slowly turned around with Dani in his arms.

Just before Tom reached Dani, he saw a man in scrubs pick the child up, and he immediately began to panic. He pulled his gun and was beginning to raise it, but halted when the man holding Dani, turned around.

"Let me guess. Fruit Loops in a baggie?" Fitz asked as turned to look at Tom and Karen.

"UUUHM... yeah... We were kind of excited to get here to meet the baby." Karen responded bashfully.

"Toss across breakfasts are the best!" Four squealed.

"Just don't tell your mother." Karen and Fitz let out at the same time.

Fitz kissed Dani's cheek as she buried her head into Fitz's neck and cried. After a few soothing words, he managed to calm her down, then took everyone upstairs to meet Gabriel.

When they entered the room Four stood back with Tom while Dani wiggled her way out of Fitz's arms. She slowly made her way over to the bed, and looked at the tiny human her mother was currently holding.

"Hi mama." Dani whispered as Karen told them they had to use their library voices around the baby.

"Hey Danibug. How'd you sleep last night?" Liv asked as she patted a spot on the bed next to her for Dani to take a seat.

"I slept really well. Karey let me sleep in her bed last night!" Dani said as quietly as her excited voice could manage. Liv looked up and noticed Four hanging back by the door.

"Don't I get a hello from my little man?" Liv asked as smiled brightly at her son.

Four began making his way over to the bed at a snail's pace. When he finally reached the bed, he stood there looking at Liv, his eyes full of wonder.

"What's going on Four? Talk to me." Liv said as she knew the gears in his mind were turning.

"It's just... Yesterday Gabe was in your stomach."

"He was."

"Today he's out here."

"He is."

"But there isn't a hole in your tummy, right?

"No sweetie, there isn't."

"Then... How are babies born?"

Liv looked up at Fitz who seemed to be waiting for Liv's response as well. Liv looked back to her son as she realized Fitz wasn't going to help, and gave them a basic rundown on how he and Dani were born.

"Ewww! So they cut your stomach open and pulled us out of your body?" Four asked with his eyes bulging out of his head.

"They did."

"Well that was rude! Who said I was ready to be born. They just go around kicking us out of our homes. Ugh!" Dani said drastically, causing everyone in the room to laugh.

After they spoke for a while, Fitz took the twins over to the sink and showed them how to properly wash their hands so they could hold Gabe. Karen washed her hands as well, and the three of them went to go meet their brother.

Fitz enjoyed watching all three of his older children coo and hold Gabe. Even with their huge age gaps, Karen, Four, and Dani were very close, and he prayed Gabe would be close with them as well.

"Where is his hair?" Dani asked as she noticed Gabe's hat slipping off of his head.

"It'll grow in soon enough. You know Four, you were bald too when you were born. Look at you now." Fitz said, as he rubbed his son's mass of curls.

"What color are his eyes?" Dani asked excitedly.

"They're a bluish grey." Liv responded.

"Like ours?"

"Just like yours.

Liv and Fitz spent the rest of the afternoon with all four of their children. They laughed, joked, and even had Tom sneak in dinner for them. Life couldn't get much better than this.
