I let out a yawn as I leaped up and shook myself. I glanced around at the other apprentices, who were sleeping. I padded over to the fresh-kill pile and grabbed a plump chaffinch. I walked over to a moss patch and chewed on the bird. I perked my ears as Falconstar padded up to the Highledge and called out a clan meeting, "All cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather beneath Highledge for a clan meeting!" I got up and bounded over to Highledge, as well as all the other cats. Once we were all settled, Falconstar raised her voice, "Twigtail has given birth to healthy kits today!" She yowled. All the other cats yowled happily. Dappleleaf, Twigtail's mate, looked especially proud. Falconstar then hushed the cats and called out, "The Gathering is tonight, for it is a full moon tonight. So be ready to leave soon." She dismissed the cats with her tail and leaped down from Highledge. I noticed Silversky padding towards me. "Smallpaw, would you please get some soaked moss to give to Twigtail." I nodded and bounded away into the forest. I found a large patch of moss by a tree stump. I gathered as much as I could in my mouth and soaked it in the stream. I ran back to the nursery. I saw Twigtail nursing her kits, and a happy Dappleleaf. I padded over to her and dropped the dripping moss. Twigtail looked up at me, "Thank you dear." She smiled and lapped at it a few times. I walked out of the nursery. I glanced over to the apprentices den where Smallpaw, Riverpaw and Hornetpaw were beginning to pad out groggily. I snorted as Hornetpaw shoved Riverpaw into Smallpaw. Riverpaw scrambled off of Smallpaw and growled at a snickering Hornetpaw before tackling her. I waved my tail to them and they stopped, but exchanged angry glances. I smiled as Longpaw walked by me, our pelts brushing. I padded over to Silversky, "What are we going to train about today?" I asked eagerly. She looked at me with a warm gaze, Me and Clawpaws's mentor, Deepscar, will teach you and Clawpaw about climbing." She smiled before padding over to Deepscar, who was sharing a magpie with another senior warrior, Ravencry. He nodded and Silversky began padding back over to me. "He said we will train at sunhigh, so if I were you I'd get something to eat before training." She told me before walking over to the fresh-kill pile. I yawned as I slowly stood and smiled to Longpaw before getting a fat squirrel and taking it over to a large flat rock and ate until I was content. I saw Silversky with Deepscar and Clawpaw waiting for me, so I bounded over to join them for a training session.

"You must focus, Smallpaw!" I heard Silversky yowl as I dug my claws into the rough bark as I tried not to fall. My pads ached from climbing the rough bark of the oak tree. I glanced a sideways look at Clawpaw, he was at least two branches above me and was jumping up and down causing leaves to flutter down on my face. I musn't let him distract me, not in front of two senior warriors. I thought before leaping and digging my claws deep into the bark and climbing upward, not once looking down. I felt Clawpaw's glare burn into my back, but I didn't stop climbing. I heard claws scrabbling behind me as Clawpaw continued onward towards me. I stopped on the edge of a thick branch at the crown of the tree. I turned only to see Clawpaw leap at me. I screeched as he pushed me off the branch and I saw him smirking down at me triumphantly as I fell, hitting branch after branch when I finally landed on the ground with a heavy thud. Silversky's eyes were filled with distress, "Oh Starclan, Smallpaw are you okay?" She meowed as she looked me over. "You had a nasty fall there young one, and it seems as if you'll have to see Yarrowheart." Deepscar meowed briskly, but in his eyes there was a slight frightened look. I heard Silversky yowl to Clawpaw as he bounded down the tree. Finally he landed right next to me. "Yes, Silversky?" He mewed, pretending to sound innocent and oblivious to what happened. "What happened to your sister?" Silversky demanded. Clawpaw lowered his ears and pretended to look apologetic, "I-I leaped up onto the branch Smallpaw was on, a-and she was startled because she was facing the opposite direction I leaped onto the branch from. She was so startled she fell off of the branch, I-I tried to grab her scruff, but it was too late." He sighed and looked at Silversky. "I-I didn't mean for this to happen. I'm sorry." He mewed. I saw Deepscar look at Clawpaw, seeming to see through his deceiving lies. He grumbled something before padding over to help me up. "Thank you Deepscar." I meowed weakly before leaning onto his side as he, and Silversky helped me to camp. Clawpaw trailed behind and I suppose that I, only I, could hear him snickering. I groaned as my tail tip felt bent oddly. Then, realization hit me like a badger. My tail was broken!

Oooh, a long chappie (for me at least) Sorry about the whole 'not uploading chapters' deal. And I added a little, just a little suspense. Clawpaw's just so envious about Smallpaw. –Gasp- And what chaos will erupt when Longpaw finds out about this? If you want to know, Follow, review and keep on the lookout for later chapters! Bye peeps!
