Hello everyone! Since almost all my fanfictions will be getting new chapters within the next week, I thought that I'd drop by and give you guys a little something too! Here's the first Interlude!

Since everyone seemed to like seeing Zack spend time with Sirius and Remus, I thought that I'd type you up a quick 'in between chapters' story with Zack spending a weekend over at Grimmauld Place!

I hope you guys will like it, and since I'm not doing the Q&A this time since it's an interlude and not an actual main chapter, I thought I'd ask you guys a few questions as well as telling you a few things.

First off, the results for my question on who you'd like to see Hermione get together with are...

Fred/Hermione/George: 23.5.

Fred/Hermione: 2.5.

George/Hermione: 0.5.

Viktor/Hermione: 1.

Draco/Hermione: 6.

And.

Ron/Hermione: 1.

You call can guess which pairing won in the end, haha!

So, from now on, look for the hints of Fred/Hermione/George that'll be in later chapters! :)

Also, for those of you who are interested in my writing, I've made a second AO3 account under the name Lyhtma. I've been having a really bad writers block, so I decided to work on a 100 words challenge using my own characters from a book I'm currently writing, so for those of you who like my writing and are interested in my Original Work, go check it out! works/1436812/chapters/3021685

And! FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE SHERLOCK FANS, I've been a crocheter since I was nine years old, and recently I've been bored around the house, so... I made a crochet Sherlock plush/doll! I've been in need of a little money lately and thought that I could put my crocheting talent to good use, so, if you have the time, please at least check it out here at my new Etsy store! listing/186141667/crochet-sherlock-doll.

So, anyways. I hope you all like the Interlude!

I do not own Harry Potter or Final Fantasy... Yet...

Sirius bounced excitedly down the halls of Grimmauled place as he sang aloud, much to Remus annoyance- The werewolf having been cleaning out one of the many cursed rooms in the large house- and yet to Remus' amusement and pleasure.

Ever since they had met Harry, erm, Zack- as they had to constantly correct themselves- Sirius had started putting more effort into getting himself into better shape and some help. While he and Remus were close, Sirius had always been closer to James, attached at the hip some said. Seeing something, some piece of James still being alive… That was enough for Sirius to start healing himself.

Even better was the fact that Zack was coming over that day and was staying for the weekend, Friday morning to Sunday night. As it was still the Christmas Holidays, Sirius, Remus and Zack had all agreed to wait to exchange gifts until Zack was there with them at Grimmauld.

"Moony don't just stand around!" Sirius called down to Remus from a landing a few stories up. Remus was pulled out of his thoughts as he looked up at his best friend, amusement twinkling in his amber eyes as they met joyful grey.

"Alright Padfoot, I'm coming." The ex-DADA Professor chuckled, making his way up the steps in the house, a gentle smile on his lips at seeing his long-time friend bouncing around like a little kid again, it had been so long since he had seen this side of Sirius.

"He's going to be here in less than an hour! And we still have a TON of cleaning! We've got to get some of the bedrooms cleaned out and then the living room, the kitchen needs a good clean…" Sirius rambled as he pushed open a door when Remus stepped onto the same landing Sirius had been waiting for him.

The werewolf chuckled as he followed Sirius into the room. Glancing around, his amber eyes widened slightly in surprise at seeing that the room had nearly been torn apart. "Merlin Sirius… What did you do in here?"

Sirius gave a half-shrug as he started to cast the charms to clean the room up, "Just some cleaning." The man shrugged, "I didn't want to risk Zack's mental and physical health… Some of the curses I've found in this house are really dark." He scowled and his face darkened at the mention.

Remus nodded in understanding as he started to help Sirius clean the room, the latter nearly bouncing around the room a moment later as they cleaned.

It was only thanks to the sound of a bell chiming down the hallway, where Sirius had put up an old grandfather clock, a muggle one that made the portrait of his mother screech- until Sirius threatened to burn her portrait- that made them realize how late it was getting for that morning, and Sirius- being the excitable man he was- almost rushed through the last few spells for Zack's room before darting out into the hallway, heading towards the kitchen to get started on a brunch while Remus finished up the last few spells for the bedroom.

Now that the dark spells that had been cast in the room were gone, the room seemed much lighter. The dark walls were now a brighter color of blue- one that Sirius had said matched close to Zack's eye color- and the floors were a soft, white carpet.

A bed made with a light colored wood stood off to the left of the doorway, in the middle of the wall, a dresser with the same color of wood was against the opposite wall and to the right, resting in the corner while the closet was just a bit to the left. A night stand with the light colored wood was sitting to the left of the bed. The bed was made in Hufflepuff yellow sheets and a black comforter. A desk sat in the far left corner of the room, same from the same light colored wood, with a chair sitting nearby it.

The werewolf nodded his approval of the room, shutting the door he hurried down the stairs to help Sirius get brunch ready. Though, he knew that the man was an amazing cook, and didn't need help with cooking, Remus thought at least he could help set the dishes out.

Walking into the recently scrubbed-clean kitchen, Remus paused just inside of the room and watched in amusement as Sirius hurried around, waving his wand and levitating the food- pancakes and several different sliced fruits, along with scrambled eggs and bacon, sausages and three different kinds of drinks, pumpkin juice, tea and coffee- over to the table.

"Can you get the plates and silverware Moony?" Sirius asked, casting a heating charm over the hot foods before turning towards the kitchen to clean up the mess. "We need to go pick Zack up in a few minutes." He added, as an afterthought.

Remus nodded, moving to where he knew that Sirius kept the non-silver, silverware. Grabbing enough silverware for the three of them, Remus then moved to grab the more basic looking glass plates that both he and Sirius preferred over the more detailed ones.

Picking up the plates, Remus sat them on the table along with the non-silver silverware, ignoring the bouncing Sirius who was waiting for Remus in the doorway. "C'mon Moony!" The man whined, in a way that was much like his dog-counterpart.

"I'm coming Padfoot." The graying man sighed, though his lips twitched in amusement as he followed his longtime friend out of the kitchen and towards the living room. They were flooing into the Headmasters' office, where they'd meet Zack and take him back to Grimmauld Place.

After entering the living room, Sirius made his way over to the fireplace, lighting a fire within it with a flick of his wand and a muttered spell. Grabbing a handful of green powder from a pot resting on the fireplace's mantle, Sirius threw a handful into the flames calling out before stepping into the fireplace. "Headmaster's Office, Hogwarts!" Remus followed shortly after the man, his own voice echoing Sirius' words.

The dark-haired man grinned widely as he stepped out of the fireplace in Dumbledore's office, brushing the ashes off of his clothes as he stepped aside for Remus to step through, sure enough, the werewolf followed moments later.

"Good afternoon." Dumbledore greeted the two, his blue eyes twinkling merrily. "Mr. Fair shall be here in a few moments."

Sirius and Remus nodded, both taking the seats in front of the Headmaster's desk, waiting for their Godson.

Zack Fair hurried down the corridors in Hogwarts towards the stone stature of the gargoyle that led up the steps to the Headmaster's office.

"Crap, crap, crap, crap, crap." Zack muttered under his breath as he hurried, his hair nearly stick up. He knew he was late, very late, to getting to the Headmaster's office to see his Godfather and Remus. "Damn those two." He grumbled, nearly tripping as he scurried around a corner. "Delaying me… Unpacking my packed things." Zack gritted his teeth at the thought of what had happened just an hour ago.

The Weasley twins had more than happily ambushed their friend while the dark haired man had been packing for his 'Christmas Weekend' with Sirius and Remus. They had magicked his things out of his trunk in an attempt to distract him, both happily telling Zack that they had somehow gotten a date with Hermione.

Zack had grumpily congratulated them before asking them where his stuff was, which to his annoyance, they didn't know… It had taken him a better part of an hour to track down everything again, and he was running late.

He hoped that when they had heard what happened, that Sirius and Remus wouldn't be too mad… Zack, having not known the two for long, didn't know how they'd react. Truthfully, he was pretty nervous about spending the weekend in Sirius' old family home, and way praying to the Goddess that he wouldn't mess this up.

"Cockroach Clusters." Zack said to the gargoyle when he reached it, watching it spring aside before running up the spiral steps to the Headmaster's office, taking two at a time.

"Sorry I'm late!" He exclaimed as he opened the door, panting slightly for effect as he grinned sheepishly. "The Twins stashed my stuff places where we didn't know they were." Zack explained as Remus and Sirius stood up, the latter laughing while Remus sighed and shook his head slightly.

"It's alright." Sirius grinned at Zack, who relaxed slightly. "I've pulled that move on James a few times, irritated the magic out of him."

Zack chuckled weakly as Remus motioned towards the fireplace.

"We'll be flooing to Grimmauld Place." The werewolf explained, noticing Zack's confused frown he chuckled softly. "It's pretty simple to do, just follow after me." Zack watched as Remus grabbed a handful of green powder out of a pot on the mantle of the fireplace, throwing a handful of the powder into the fire before calling out, "Number Twelve, Grimmauld Place!" And Zack watched in fascination as Remus stepped into the flames and disappeared.

"After you then, Zack." Sirius said cheerfully, bouncing on the balls of his feet while Zack hesitantly took a handful of the powder, throwing it into the flames, calling out as he stepped into the fireplace, nearly inhaling soot as he did so. "Number Twelve, Gimmauld Place!"

Zack cursed quietly in Wutain as he stumbled through the fireplace and into a dark room, blinking slightly to allow his eyes to adjust to the sudden change in lighting as Remus stepped through the fireplace, much more graceful that Zack had.

Sirius was waiting for the both of them, a large grin on his face. "We'll give you the grand tour after brunch, or rather a early lunch now, since you were late." He nearly laughed at seeing the slight flush on Zack's cheeks and continued on, "We can't show you much yet, the house is still being cleaned up, but we can show you were you can go."

Zack nodded mutely, smiling as Sirius began to chatter much like he often did, and he followed the man out of the living room and down the hallway towards the kitchen.

Blue eyes widened in shock at seeing the amount on the table and Zack laughed softly, "Plan on feeding an army, Sirius?" He teased the other man, a grin on his face as he faced his Godfather, who shrugged.

"I didn't know how much you ate." The dog-like man replied, and Zack nearly sighed in relief as the smell of food wafted over him. Though the alcoholic smell had left Sirius mostly, there were still traces of it.

Though - Zack's eyebrows furrowed just slightly as he sat down and glanced over at Remus, who was chatting softly to Sirius about something about 'Prongs'? – the other man still smelled wolfish…

"Hey, can I ask you a question?" Zack asked quietly as he looked over at Remus, poking at a few things on his plate, which was nearly full.

"Yes." Remus said politely, looking at the younger man curiously, wondering what Zack was going to ask him.

"Why do you smell like a wolf?" Zack asked bluntly, taking a bite of his breakfast, noticing the stunned and surprised looks from Sirius and Remus he swallowed before lightly tapping his nose. "My enhanced senses include smells." He explained.

"Ah… Well…" Sirius shifted a bit uncomfortably, exchanging a look with Remus before the sandy-haired man sighed.

"I'm a werewolf." Remus said, his tone grave and Zack blinked.

Once. Twice.

"Okay." Zack shrugged before going back to eating his meal, surprising both Sirius and Remus, the former nearly falling out of his chair.

"Okay?" Both Remus and Sirius gaped at the relaxed Ex-SOLDIER.

"I'm a werewolf." Remus said seriously again, as if Zack hadn't heard him properly the first time. Frowning slightly and his eyebrows furrowed when Zack shrugged again.

"So? You're one of the nicest people I've met since being here, I doubt that you'd hurt anyone purposefully. So what if you turn into a furry animal once a month, you've just got… Just got a furry little problem." Zack said, shrugging again, his eyebrows raising as Sirius threw back his head and laughed while Remus' lips twitched upwards in amusement and relief.

"What's so funny?" Zack asked, his own eyebrows furrowing as he took a bite of bacon.

"That's what James used to call it." Remus chuckled softly, "My 'furry little problem.' A lot of people while we were at school were under the impression I owned a badly behaving rabbit."

"Ah…" Zack grinned sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck before he laughed lightly too.

"So, tell us more of this world of yours. Any girls waiting for you back home?" Sirius asked, a grin on the dog-man's face as he wiggled his eyebrows suggestively.

"Not really…" Zack murmured, his cheeks flushing slightly. "There's Aerith, but she's more of a sister to me. We did try dating once, but there just wasn't a spark. Last I knew she was dating one of my best buddies, Kunsel. I got them together." He puffed out his chest proudly.

"When it comes to people waiting for me… There's Aerith, she probably knows I'm still alive. Then there's Kunsel, who Aerith would tell… And I know there's Cloud… I don't know if he knows I'm alive still or not…" Zack sighed, poking unhappily at his eggs.

"Who're Aerith, Kunsel and Cloud?" Remus asked politely.

"Aerith is this flower girl who lives down in the slums. I met her after accidentally falling through Sector Five and into the old Sector Seven church…" Zack grinned sheepishly. "She's the only person who can and has grown flowers inside of Midgar… Kunsel is my best buddy. We were cadets in SOLDIER together. Why he wasn't a Turk, I don't know. He's got blackmail on everyone and I mean it! He's got dirt on Tseng for Shiva's sake!" Zack gasped dramatically. "And Cloud…" His expression softened as a gentle smile took its place on his lips. "Cloud's hard to explain… He's in the cadet program now. We're close friends, actually… I think I'm his only friend." Zack's lips pursed together unhappily at the thought. "I don't know why though… He's a really friendly guy, he's just got a few problems… He's really shy and gets motion sickness. He's got spiky hair that looks like a Chocobo's crest and feels like one too." Zack was smiling again before it once again faded. "He's the person I nearly died protecting…"

Sirius and Remus were watching the dark-haired man, both noticing the tone that Zack spoke about Cloud, and how it was different from how he talked about Aerith and Kunsel.

"You like him, don't you?" Sirius asked almost bluntly, nearly laughing at seeing the shocked and slightly scared expression of Zack, who's neck had snapped up at the question.

"It's alright if you do. The Wizarding World is more accepting about gay relationships than the Muggle World is." Remus said kindly.

Zack rubbed the back of his neck as his cheeks flushed. "Is it that obvious..?" Blue eyes blinked in surprise at seeing both Remus and Sirius nod. "Well… What about you two?" Zack asked, changing the subject, and raised an eyebrow slightly in amusement at seeing the surprised look on Sirius and Remus' faces. "Are you two dating?"

Both Sirius and Remus started laughing, startling Zack.

"Moony here is dating my darling cousin, Tonks." Sirius chuckled, "I'm a lone wolf, or dog, an eternal bachelor!" He declared.

Zack laughed lightly and their conversation turned to that of pranks, all three sets of eyes sparkling mischievously.

Before anyone knew it, it was time for Zack to head back to Hogwarts and all three of them were disappointed, yet pleased that they had at least gotten a nice weekend together.

If being pranked in both muggle and magical ways, counted as a nice weekend.

Remus and Sirius had both taught Zack some magical pranking spells – much to Zack's delight – and Zack had taught them a few muggle pranks as well.

They had spend the weekend exchanging stories and on Saturday, gifts.

Zack had gotten an empty journal from Remus to keep track of his pranks, as well as his time at Hogwarts. From Sirius he had gotten three books, two hand-written and one store-bought, full of pranks and pranking spells.

For Remus, Zack had made some homemade fudge along with several different kinds of chocolate – Thanking Angeal for having the patience of a Saint for teaching him how to make it all perfect as he did – For Sirius, he had gotten a few books on Motorcycles as well as homemade candy, to the man's delight.

"I don't like Floo-ing." Zack moaned as he stumbled out of the fireplace in the Headmaster's office Sunday evening, clutching his stomach as his cheeks turned a faint green.

"Most don't." Remus reassured the dark-haired man as Sirius followed Zack through the Floo, holding Zack's trunk. "Most prefer brooms or Portkey."

Zack nodded silently as Remus spoke, keeping his mouth firmly shut as he took his trunk from Sirius.

Dumbledore watched – pleased at seeing that the three of them had gotten closer over the weekend – as Sirius pulled Zack into a hug, surprising the spiky-haired man before Remus gave Zack a hug as well.

"See you guys around?" Zack asked, flashing them a grin as the green in his cheeks faded.

Both of them nodde,d Remus smiling as Sirisu grinning – though Zack could clearly see the sadness in their eyes – "See you around, Puppy." Sirius said teasingly, having enjoyed teasing Zack all weeked with that nickname.

"Yeah, yeah." Zack laughed, flashing them a grin before watching them leave through the floo again. He bided the Headmaster a good evning before taking his trunk back to his rooms, unpacking quickly he checked on the Dumbapple tree he had gotten for Christmas, smiling at seeing it unharmed and growing perfectly well.

After a quick shower and change, Zack made his way to the Great Hall. Almost immediately he was ambushed by Fred and George, who pulled him over to the Gryffindor table, chatting excitedly as they told Zack about their Hogsmead date with Hermione – the girl herself sitting across form the Twins, an amused smile on her lips behind her book, something on Charms, as she listened to the Twins.

Zack's eyes glanced around as he half-paid attention to the Twins, his eyes catching Cedric's, who was sitting at the Hufflepuff table, and he grinned at the other Champion, who smiled back.

Next his eyes drifted to the Ravenclaw table, where Luna was waving at him from, and he waved back, which drew the Twins' attention and they started playfully whining about how Zack wasn't paying any attention to them.

He laughed as his thoughts drifted away from the conversation again. He liked spending the weeks at Hogwarts with his friends, he liked the idea of seeing Remus and Sirius almost every weekend, he liked being here…

But, Zack still thought that he'd like being back home, much, much better.
