Jack took me the food court in the mall not far from their building. I hoped he would let me change and shower but no, no point he said because we would be getting back to training afterwards. After we got our food ( I had low crab pizza and Jack had a bag of sugared donuts, and yet his teeth are perfect like freshly fallen snow). We sat by a fountain and watched the people go by as we sat in comfortable silence.

"Let me ask you something?". Jack asked after a while.

"What?".

"We where together for the first two years of our lives, how did we not recognise each other. I mean I've seen pictures and we never put two and two together".

"Well the first time we saw each other was the first day of school that was sixteen years later it's no wonder you didn't".

"I guess your right, then again when I first saw you I knew there was something special about you".

I turned away so he couldn't see me blushing.

"There is one thing that makes no sense if everything you said is true".

"What?".

"My mom never said anything about living in New York and she always said me and Astrid have been friends since that day we meet at the park when we were six months old. If this is all true I should been living here when I was six months old. Like someone took away the memorise from those two years I was with you and replaced them. How stupid is that?". I asked.

"No it's not I mean I've never hared of that kind of thing happening before but for the first ten years of my life I didn't know vampires existed".

" I thought you said you grew up hunting?".

"Well you see normally parents wait until the kids turn ten to start training and than they start hunting when they turn sixteen".

"So you guys trained for six years and I only have a week that's fair".

"You got this".

Jack lifted my chin and he smiled at me. Our eyes met and I was so sure he was going to kiss me. We slowly leaned forward and just as our lips where about to meet his phone rang.

"Dammit". He mumbled under his breath as wer quikly pulled apart.

I turned away and blushed madly as he walked off to answer his phone. I sat there for a while and tried to catch my breath. What if his phone never rang?, would we have kissed?. I mean if what Hiccup and Merida said was true and we did kiss what would happen after that?, are hunters even allowed to date each other?.

"We have to get to the school now". He said as he grabbed my arm.

"Why, it's Saturday?". I asked as I freed my arm from his grip.

"listen, that was Merida your rooms been broken into and you friends are missing they never came back lat night". He explained.

I didn't say anything and just let him pull me away. Why would someone brake into my room?, did it have something to do with the moon?, and what happened to my friends, Hiccup said they thought I was helping with a family problem. They would never go out and not come back. What's happening?.
