Harry Potter was a deadly and powerful person. Well, that's mostly what Leila knew. Seeing Harry look so defeated and worn out worried Leila a lot. Harry said that he was at crossroads, so Leila knew that Harry was trying to make a life changing or hard decision. Sighing in frustration, Leila wished that Harry could be more specific or actually allow people to help him. It's not like he was expected to make the decision himself right? That's what adults are for...
Harry Potter on the other hand, did not even consider asking an adult, and was frustrated. How was he supposed to choose between Demons and Voldemort? Was he supposed to use some kind of lesser of two evils thinking?
Focusing on his mindscape, Harry searched his head for memories of demons.
-~Flashback~-
The Battle of Hogwarts had begun. Locking hands with his friends, Harry closed his eyes, letting the bindings on his power lose. Hogwarts herself pulsated with a strong, ancient aura as the castle felt Harry's overwhelming power in waves. Green eyes glowing a killing curse green, Harry walked out. Sword of Gryffindor in one hand and his wand in the other. He also wore a necklace with a silver serpent that was built by Salazar Slytherin. The snake helped Harry by notifying him of any nearby danger and advising him. Harry never had much time to train in fighting like regular aurors, and he just learnt by experience. That resulted in him relying on luck and survival instinct in fights.
"RON!" A loud scream was heard as Harry spun around. He saw Ron falling to the floor as Hermione screamed his name. His own voice was added to the mix as Ron fell to the ground, most likely dead.
Voldemort started to laugh, in his cold, grating voice. "Another one of your friends has died Potter. When will you learn boy?"
Harry just snorted. He was used to people dieing, it was just something that happened to everyone. It had to happen sometime. Harry knew that this was a result of him simply suppressing emotions, and pushing grief to the back of his mind under lock and key, but he quickly started to taunt Voldemort. "Now now Tom. Just because I have friends and you don't doesn't mean that you can kill them in jealousy."
Ten killing curses answered Harry. "Temper temper... You should really try a cheering charm..."
-~End of Flashback~-
Why do demons make me think of Ron's death? Even more confused, Harry decided that he needed to add a pensive onto his shopping list, along with his new school supplies.
-~Living Room, Harry's house~-
You've got to be kidding me. Are you sure?
'I'm afraid so Harry, you must. If you send out your power at maximum level, even the elder wand cannot hold the power, and it will be destroyed.'
It won't help me blend in though! It would cause Dumbledore to be suspicious, and Voldemort to target me even more!
'Then use a legendary mage level transfiguration rune!'
That would be extremely hard to do...
'Well, at least you don't have to use a legendary atlantean level transfiguration rune...'
Good point. Actually... What about a sentient sorcerer level linking rune set to link one legendary mage level transfiguration runes with one advanced atlantean morph rune, and another rune to return it to it's original shape?
'That would be almost impossible to do with a two feet long staff.'
I agree, however, I can infuse it with mithril while adding a few dragon star gems.
'Extremely expensive, but efficient. I will draw up the diagram for the staff then. What will you link to the advanced atlantean morph rune?'
The Sword of Gryffindor, and the Silver Serpent of Slytherin
'Two? Will they work together?'
Yes, they have to work together. They are original founders objects, both goblin made.
'I see why you chose an atlantean rune then. Atlantean runes work well with goblin made objects.'
Exactly.
After that conversation with one of his avatars, Harry exited his mindscape. He immediately collapsed on the couch he was sitting on, his head pounding from activating a fully conscious avatar. "Well, time to draw out the diagram then."
Following instructions from his avatar, Harry quickly started to draw out a two feet long staff. A few minutes later, he was finished and ready to create the staff.
To create the staff, Harry needed to combine his Holly and Phoenix feather wand, and The Elder Wand into an already made one foot long staff. The staff was mainly made out of elder tree wood from the elves of the enchanted forest, and it currently had nothing else.
Flashback: Getting materials for the staff
After arguing for a while, Harry managed to buy the block of mithril for 20,000 Galleons, and the golden phoenix blood for 60,000 Galleons. After getting them, Harry got each required gems for a hundred galleon each, and the Dragon Star Gem for 60,000 Galleons. The melted starlight was added on for only 20,000 Galleons, due to the bulk of his purchase.
End Flashback.
Letting his hands glow an eerie white color, a nearby block of mithril was slowly infused into the wood. Concentrating a bit more, Harry moved his two wands and dropped him onto the staff. The surface of the staff rippled, and the wands melted into the staff. Knowing that the phoenix core wouldn't be enough to be fully equal with the thestral tail hair, Harry added two drops of golden phoenix blood. As soon as the two drops of golden blood fell onto the staff, he quickly added a silvery substance, also known as melted starlight. Melted starlight was one of the hardest substances to obtain, because it only could be taken from the core of a star on it's dying day. Focusing on the silvery substance, Harry made sure that it was evenly spread out across the center of the staff, since he didn't want the staff to explode with power.
Knowing that the melted starlight and phoenix blood would overload the two cores, he then got ready to start inserting the gems. With a wave of his hand, he dropped small, one inch cube like gems into the staff. The inserted gems were a Moonstone, one Ruby, one Opal, one Sapphire, an Emerald, and one Diamond. Each gem melted as they touched the surface of the staff, and they slowly spread out in a mix of colors around the staff in a tornado like swirl. The gems were still moving around when he proceeded to the next step.
Harry quickly added a small unicorn tail hair before the gems stopped moving. The tail hair melted before it touched the wand, and Harry knew that it was already melted and spread across the wood, making it useless as a wand core, but causing the staff to be more loyal to it's first owner. Safe in the knowledge that the wand wouldn't start switching owners with simple disarming spells like the elder wand would, Harry then quickly started to carve a bunch of runes onto the surface of the staff.
Two hours later, Harry was done with all the runes. He then added a dragon star gem that was fully linked to the sentient sorcerer level linking rune. He also made sure that the staff was linked with the sword of Gryffindor and the serpent of Slytherin.
"Finally, I'm done with the staff!" Harry yelled a quick celebratory cheer, and tested out his new, two feet long staff. The staff had some markings on it, and there was a huge colorful band of gems near the top, just above were Harry was holding the staff. The main components were the elder wood, but it also had a coating of mithril, making the staff look like a mix of silver and wood. On the tip of the staff, there was a dragon star gem that glowed with power as soon as Harry held the staff. Testing it out, Harry thought about changing it to wand form. Instantly, the staff turned into a miniature version of the staff, but shaped differently with the to look like an ordinary, 11.5 inch wooden wand except for the dragon star gem that was imbedded at the tip of the wand. "Great, the Sentient Sorcerer linking rune worked!" Concentrating again, Harry thought about the sword of Gryffindor. Instantly, it changed into the sword of Gryffindor. Changing it into a wand, Harry quickly inserted it into his wand holster.
Harry then decided to try a few tests. He sent out raw magic from his body, and activated mage sight. When he activated mage sight, he saw the magic get sucked into his wand like a vacuum cleaner. "Well, this is new..." Harry then proceeded to ask his avatar for a complete analysis of what was happening.
Do you know what this means?
'Yes I do. Your wand is sucking in the magic that you just sent out. It is probably storing it, and you might be able to use the wand like a wand core. Now that I think of it, It might be able to become sentient. All it requires now is a soul to become a sentient wand. Now, lets see if this works... Try sending out a few spells.'
Harry then proceeded to send out a few stunners and levitation charms. The wand sucked them in after they stopped working or in the case of the stunner, hit a wall.
'Intresting! It seems like your wand is able to even suck up ambient magic, or magic particles in the air. Your wand seems very powerful. There hasn't been any recorded wands able to suck up magic and store it in a core.'
Brilliant, this wand will be important in the oncoming storm then.
After that, Harry tried hitting a magic measurement gauge with the wand. After that, Harry compared the results with the ones of his previous wands.
Holly and Phoenix Feather:
Amplifier: 150%
Max Power: 10
The Elder Wand:
Amplifier: 250%
Max Power: 20
The Staff of _ (Note to self: Name staff for no apparent reason)
Amplifier: 280%
Max Power: 28
Magic:
Amplifier: 100%
Max Power: 22
"Interesting, The staff doesn't amplify my magic much, but it can handle my max power of 22... This staff won't explode if I put all my magic into it, so this should be good enough." After that, Harry rolled up his magic results and stashed it away with the diagram and any leftover staff crafting supplies into his trunk.
A hour after finishing his new wand, Leila returned home. "Hey Harry! Diagon Alley is totally awesome! Can I go with Tonks there again? Please?"
Sighing in irritation, Harry raised his eyebrows. "Since when did you ever need my permission to do anything... Actually, more like since when did you ever listen to me when I told you no?"
Smiling sheepishly, she said, "Well... There was that time..."
"That time was common sense. You agreed with me."
Pouting, Leila dropped her shopping bags and tackled Harry.
"Oww... Leila... You're too heavy for this nonsense..." Groaning in pain from being tackled by an 11 year old, Harry pushed Leila off him and proceeded to escape the energetic whirlwind called Leila.
Smirking in the doorway, Tonks yelled out, "Sorry about that Harry! Leila insisted on going to the new sweets store, eating tons of candy, eating five scoops of ice cream from Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour. Then, at Hogsmeade, she proceeded to go to Honeydukes, and bought tons of Liquorice wands while drinking butterbeer. After that, she managed to convince me that Toothflossing Stringmints were necessary for her teeth, and started jumping all over the place on a hyper level that only high amounts of sugar consumption could cause. Oh, and by the way, she was eating her sixth chocolate bar while apparating back here..."
Just as Tonks mentioned sugar, Leila started bouncing up and down in a fashion that reminded Harry of Dobby when he was enthusiastic.
"TONKS! DON'T YOU DARE LEAVE ME TO MY FATE!" Harry started screaming for Tonks to come back, but she already apparated away. Turning to Leila, Harry tried to defuse the situation. "Now Leila, lets just take a few deep breaths and calm dow-"
Harry was interrupted by Leila tackling him and demanding for more sugar. Feeling a headache coming on, Harry knew that this was going to be a long day.
-~Time Skip - Two days before the Hogwarts express~-
Groaning, Harry agreed with Leila's idea. "Alright Leila, you are right. I give up." He then proceeded to buy her a Nimbus 2001. Leila's supposedly brilliant idea was for Harry to keep the Nimbus 2001, but to allow her to 'borrow' it throughout her first year at Hogwarts then give it to her after her first year. This allowed her to ignore the whole first years can't have brooms rule. Initially, Harry said no, but he gave in to Leila's pouting and pleading look.
"Thanks Harry!" Leila then proceeded to drag Harry to the next store.
Twitching in annoyance, Harry let himself be dragged to the next store.
-~Time Skip - Eight hours later~-
Eight hours later, Harry apparated into the forbidden forest. He then proceeded to change into his animagus form. A huge, bear sized wolf with extremely thick magic resistant skin and powerful muscles suddenly appeared. Green eyes glowing in the night, the wolf started running at extreme speeds, at over 90 miles per hour. The forest blurred around Harry, and any branches in the way were destroyed by the wolves powerful muscles and thick skin. In the middle of the forest, the wolf started to howl.
All wolves and creatures nearby ran away from the howling wolf, recognizing it's status as a powerful alpha.
As soon as the wolf finished howling, the ground in the middle of the forest opened up, and a large ancient looking tree started to rise. Seconds later, an elf appeared.
Harry turned back into his human form and proceeded to talk to the elf. "I just realized something. Voldemort also traveled back in time! How did he do that?"
Amused by Harry's abrupt conversation and lack of formalities, the elf replied, "Forty years after you traveled back in time, Voldemort managed to use the room of requirement to travel into the same time as you. He overloaded the school with magic, causing the school to have enough energy for him to leap back in time. It was also due to him straining the school that the demon seal cracked."
"So because the time travel energy is split between both times, and we both went to the end of my fifth year, the demon seal cracked? Why didn't you tell me so earlier?"
"Well, we thought you would have figured it out by yourself. We can't just tell you everything you know."
"Right... Because you have to always talk in riddles and have to leave certain aspects out because you're ancient and stuff..." Harry talked in a sarcasm filled tone.
Still amused with Harry, the elf replied in a matter of fact tone. "Well, yes we do! We can't just talk like normal people. Where's the fun in that? At least I don't talk in riddles..."
"You do to everyone except me."
"Mars is bright today." The elf replied in a deadpan voice.
"Oh shut up..." Harry's wand arm started twitching as he fought an internal battle to not curse the elf.
"So... Crossroads and stuff... I decided to prioritize, not choose one over the other. Voldemort should be easier to defeat, then we can take care of the demons... After all, the reason elfs are here because of the demons right? Lets split, The Order, my friends, and I can defeat Voldemort. Meanwhile, you guys can hold back the demons from destroying everything. After we defeat Voldemort, we can help you guys and destroy the demons. Sound fair?"
"Harry. In that case, you must destroy Voldemort as soon as possible. We would be wiped out if we keep on opposing demons without your help. I do not want my species to be destroyed because you took too long with Voldemort." The elf looked grim at the prospect of opposing demons solo.
"You're right. But the percentage estimate only includes The Order and my friends right?"
"Indeed."
"I will get help from other people, that would increase our chances of winning this."
"Good luck Harry. I will be busy convincing the elder council to oppose the demons without your help. It is a suicide mission, but we will hopefully hold them at a standstill until you help us."
"Is there anything you can let me borrow to quickly defeat Voldemort?" Harry knew that he was pushing his luck, especially with the elves already going to trust Harry with their lives, but elf made weaponry was stronger than any other weapons.
"We have something that you can keep. However, you would need to give us 40,000 of those galleons in exchange. We will need that gold to buy materials for our battle against the demons."
The elfs normally didn't need gold, but buying supplies from other creatures and fighting a war against demons required a lot of gold. Harry knew that, so he quickly agreed. "Alright." Harry counted 45,000 galleons from his moleskin pouch, and put it in the elf made bag that the elf brought out. As soon as he gave the elf his gold, the elf brought out a old looking wooden box with many runes.
The elf put it on the ground, and put a hand on the middle of the box. A few gear like clicks sounded inside the box, as the box opened by itself. Inside of the box, there were 14 rings with another one right in the middle of the box. "Take the middle one and wear it on your wand hand." Harry put the ring right onto the same finger with his lordship ring. The ring glowed green, and Harry noticed that five strands of magic connected the ring with his wand and another ten connected with his magical core. It also changed sizes to adapt to his finger.
The elf raised his eyebrows at this, and said, "You're wand has a core also? Well, in that case, your ring just became even more stronger. Your ring is another huge magical core. As you just saw, it connects with the wearers core. You can store tons of magic in it. It is semi-sentient, so it just adapted with your wand. Any magic that your wand sucks up, the ring will be able to access. In the same way, any magic the ring stores, your wand can access. You can choose to store magic in the ring, which means that you can also store magic in your wand through the ring. Try turning on your mage sight."
Harry turned on his mage sight, and saw that his ring also connected with the other rings through strands of magic, but was a different colored thick strand. "Interesting... The ring has some sort of a connection with the other rings?"
"Yes it does, the other rings connect with magical cores just like yours does, but yours is the master ring. The other rings communicate with yours, and you can allocate magic to flow into the others just by thought. You might also be able to use the others like portkeys, because your ring will always know where the others are due to the strand of magic connecting them. Due to this, you can send messages through the link. Once you receive a message, your ring will notify you." The elf then gave Harry the box of rings.
"Will I be able to change permissions or something?"
"Yes you will, Your ring is level 5. Level 4 is similar to yours, it can receive and send text messages in all channels, choose how much magic to take from your ring as long as the amount is reasonable, and increase the amount of magic stored in other rings level 3 or lower. It also can send messages to the level 5 ring, and find the location of any other rings and portkey or teleport freely. Level 3 has an allocated amount of magic it can withdraw, and it can receive or send messages freely to other rings or designated channels, in text format. It can also work as a portkey in emergencies. Level 2 is similar to Level 3, except it can only broadcast messages through the public text channel, and not send messages to specific rings unless the ring is keyed into a specific text channel. Level 1 doesn't allow to send messages other than emergencies, and can only receive messages from public broadcasts, and can only withdraw magic in emergencies, and portkey only in emergencies."
"Wow! How do I designate levels though?"
"Just think, your ring can pick up your thoughts."
"How does the text channel stuff work though?"
"This is where the magic uses technology. It creates something similar to a online muggle chatting system. You can access it by pressing the ring, and a chat box with messages will appear above the ring. You can send a message by thinking your message, and it will be sent in a text format. It's made so only you can see the text box. It also heats up when there is an unread message. Any other questions?"
"Not really... This is awesome though! Thanks for giving me this!"
"Oh! I almost forgot. Your level 5 ring can create Level 2 or 1 rings. It just requires a lot of magic and a few materials. The instructions for creating them are in the box with the other rings. The rings can't be taken off by force, and only willingly. Your master ring will show who has the rings along with the location, so you will know if someone betrays you and gives the ring to someone else. Each ring can be made invisible by thought by the way."
"Yup! This is going to be perfect for messages! Can I create different channels?"
"Yes you can. Good luck with your fight against Voldemort."
Saying goodbye to the elf, Harry changed into his huge wolf animagus form and ran out the forest at extreme speeds.
-~One day before the Hogwarts express~-
Packing was hard. Harry had given Leila a level 3 ring, and explained everything to her. After doing that, Harry wished he remembered the pack spell. Stuff was thrown about everywhere, as both Leila and Harry tried to pack. Harry was only used to throwing stuff in trunks, but Leila insisted on 'packing like an ordinary person.' Because of this. Harry ended up having to fold his clothes, put everything in designated places, and attempt to find everything he needed. Leila had no problem with folding her clothes or anything, but she insisted on quadruple checking everything to make sure that she had everything. After the fourth check, she threw everything out of her trunk and made a packing list. She also insisted on making sure her room was not missing anything and that her 'little Srythuneleckt' was comfortable at home and able to get his own food.
"HARRY! I forgot to get a money pouch! I can't just put my money in my trunk!"
Twitching in annoyance once more, Harry gave Leila a newly permanently conjured money pouch while muttering about insane girls. Of course, this resulted in him getting hit in the head with a nearby book. Resisting the urge to curse the insanely hyper and happy eleven year old girl, he quickly left to continued his packing.
"Wand... Oh darn! Why did I pack my wand!" Harry quickly summoned his wand from his trunk. Of course, with his luck, this ended up messing up all the clothes that he finally managed to finish folding. Groaning, Harry started packing again.
Two hours later, they both finished packing. Harry made them some lunch, and they both sat down on the table.
Leila asked the question that Harry was dreading. "Hey Harry? Why do you almost never smile? And your eyes... They always look haunted."
Sighing, Harry put down his fork and started talking. "There's an insane Dark Lord after me."
"WHAT?" Leila was shocked. She never expected that answer.
"Yup, and I think we should talk about Voldemort and the war. You saw those dementors right?"
"Yes... I saw them..."
"They were after me. Voldemort, the dark lord I was talking about has been trying to kill me almost every year at Hogwarts. You read about my story right?"
"Yes... They said that Voldemort tried killing you but it rebounded."
"Yup, my mothers sacrifice sealed a powerful blood magic protection. It caused the killing curse to rebound, killing him in the process. Voldemort is somehow survived though, and he is once again alive, gathering death eaters and followers. He is probably going to try something this year at Hogwarts to kill me again. How is your occlumency going?"
"I currently have a mental shield, but maintaining a mindscape is hard though."
"Good enough. Long story short, a prophecy is the reason that he is trying to kill me. Either I kill him or he kills me."
Gasping in shock, Leila quickly confirmed what he was saying. "You have to kill Voldemort!?"
"Yup... This is why you shouldn't be close to me at school."
Almost instantly, Leila hit Harry in the head. "Don't be an idiot! I've already been living with you, trusting you with all my secrets, and I've even come to think of you as my best friend! I'm not going to abandon you just because some dark lord is trying to kill you!"
Groaning at Leila's Hufflepuff loyalty or Gryffindor bravery, Harry decided to compromise. "Fine, we need to train you then. I want you to be able to hold your own with a death eater."
Leila recognized the compromise, and quickly agreed. "Alright, when should we train, and where?"
"We should run around the castle at seven am to eight am. Also we should train in the room of requirements. Every day at five thirty pm to seven pm. Should be enough since you're only eleven right now."
"Where is the Room of Requirement?"
"Seventh floor, left corridor. Opposite side of the tapestry of Barnabas the Barmy teaching trolls to dance."
"Ok then... Will you show me around at school? I don't want to get lost..."
"Course, since you're apparently sticking with me even with all the risks."
"What if I'm sorted into a different house?"
"Honestly? I would be sad that we won't be able to have the same common room and stuff, but I would also be glad... You're too dependent on me right now."
Leila started growling after that so Harry quickly ran off muttering about crazy girls.
Ten minutes later, when Harry explained that he was worried about her being too dependent on him because that meant she didn't have anyone else to depend on when or if he was injured or killed, they finally got back to eating lunch.
After eating lunch, Harry gave Leila a wand holster for her wand, and they spent a few hours practicing drawing and casting spells. Eventually, when Leila was able to draw her wand and hit a far away target in one second, they stopped practicing since Harry decided it was fast enough.
Eventually, they started to experiment with the elf rings, and see their limits.
Harry managed to figure out how to create 4 separate channels. First was the public one, used only in cases of death eater sightings and emergencies. That channel was set to alert the ring wearer when a new message pops up. Second was a channel for the D.A. Harry decided to give each D.A member a ring, and the channel was used to alert members about meeting times, and in cases of emergencies. After thinking, Harry decided that he could give Dumbledore a level 3.5 ring and make him the manager of the third channel, The Order of the Phoenix. He also decided to make rings for each order member. Fourth was a simple chatting channel, where people could ask for help on homework, or just talk. It was set to not alert the wearer, since alerts are only used in important messages.
After that, Harry had opened up a private channel to talk to Leila. After a while, they figured out how to send messages through the chat.
Focusing on his ring, Harry broadcasted a thought. 'Send message to Leila Elphick. Hi'
Milliseconds after that, Leila received in her ring. A chat box came up, and the message from Harry appeared in a chat format.
"Awesome! So all we need to do, is focus our thoughts on the ring, and think send message to person, then think the message?"
"Yup. This ring is awesome. It can send text messages by thought. So if I think a message to the D.A, everyone would receive it on their rings."
"The D.A? What is that?"
"Dumbledore's Army or the Defence Association. I'm planning on using the second name this year, since we're not fighting for Dumbledore, we are learning to defend ourselves."
"So are you the leader or something?"
Amused by all of Leila's questions, Harry nodded.
"Leila, I think you forgot the most important question... How are you going to control your Shadow Lady powers?"
Gasping in shock, Leila started to freak out. "I can't go to Hogwarts! I can't-"
"Leila! Calm down... Your occlumency training should help a lot with this. Basically, don't feel angry at anyone, or try not to feel threatened. Your powers are like a defence mechanism, they can help you, but only once their controlled. Those snakes you saw with mage sight? Those can be tamed to only attack enemies."
"So... This is a gift and a curse?" Leila had a pensive look on her face.
"Exactly, and just letting you know... Muggles are more affected by your powers. You should be able to control them in Hogwarts, but don't go wandering around in the muggle world yet."
"Alright, so once I can control my powers in the muggle world, I can see my parents again?" Leila looked happy with the prospect of seeing her parents again.
Squashing the feeling of unhappiness at Leila leaving his house, Harry nodded.
"What's with that face?"
Harry realised that he didn't mask his emotions enough. "Well, I'm just going to be a bit lonely once you leave."
Leila looked amused at Harry. "Don't be stupid! Of course I'm not going to leave... This place feels more like home than my old house... I'll just be glad to see my parents again."
This time, Harry was frowning. "Your parents won't like that."
"So what? I like it here better." Leila started to get mad. "I'm not going to leave this place and they can't make me!"
"Alright, alright. We will talk about this later with your parents. Maybe next summer?" Harry tried to defuse the situation as quickly as possible.
"Ok." Leila then started frowning. "Harry?"
"Yes?"
"Sorry about this..."
Confused, Harry tried to figure out what this was about. "Huh?"
As soon as Harry replied, Leila threw something at him and yelled, "Activate!"
A scream and a splash could be heard outside, as Harry was portkeyed into the newly made pool.
Snickering, Leila went to her room and locked her door with third year locking charms, not wanting Harry to do something to her in revenge.
Hours later, after Harry congratulated Leila on successfully making a portkey at 11 years old, Harry was about to go order dinner when a ministry owl came flying in.
"Harry? What is that?"
"It's a ministry owl with my patent for my new broom, Lighting."
"Huh?" Leila had a confused expression on her face.
"Oh, right, I didn't tell you about what I did a week ago." Harry then proceeded to explain about making a new broom company.
-~Flashback, One week ago~-
"So, do we have a deal?"
34 people nodded and proceeded to sign the contract. After they signed the contract, Harry told them what each of their roles were in making the broom. Six people carved an advanced rune that Harry made, Four people carved runes around it to hide the advanced rune, (To prevent the rune from being copied.) Six people carved unbreaking, repairing, and cushioning runes that made the broom the equivalent of metal, except the cushioning runes made the broom feel like a wooden broom with a thick cloth around it. Ten people carved the brooms themselves, two fixed minor details while examining the broom, four handled owl orders and packaging, while the remaining two helped wherever necessary.
After breaking a few brooms, and messing up a bit, the 34 people got in the hang of things, so Harry sent out a patent request to the ministry with the newly made broom, called Lighting.
After that, Harry gave them enough gold to make the brooms, and set up a payment through Gringotts.
-~End Flashback, Present time~-
"So you made a new broom?" Leila looked surprised.
"Yup, and we will be selling it for 600 Galleons each." Harry then proceeded to give Leila the stats of the new broom. "The Lightning has an acceleration of 160 miles per hour in ten seconds, with extremely good breaking runes and repairing runes. The Firebolt can only go up to 150 miles per hour, which means the Lightning is faster, and unlike the Firebolt, it can repair itself in most major cases, unless it's snapped in half. The main difference is the price. The Firebolt used to cost 2,000 galleons, now reduced to 1,000 galleons, but the Lighting is only 600 galleons."
Leila looked amazed at the Lightning. "So you're saying that the Lightning is better than the Firebolt in everything, and almost half the price?"
"Yup! And currently we have around 10 made. We should be releasing it in a few days."
"How long does it take to make one anyways?"
"It takes less than half a day, each of my workers work for 7 hours, and are fully certified broom crafting experts, so we usually make at least one per day, and two on normal days."
"Wow! Where are you having your workers making them though?"
"I bought a three story building, and put it under the fidelius charm. I also added advanced wards around it, mainly repelling type wards."
"Three story building? Is it like one of those huge, square like work buildings with cubicles?"
"Yup, I bought one of those, removed the cubicles, and made the second floor into the broom making floor, and the third into the rune carving floor. The first floor has couches and stuff, and a small area for owl order stuff."
"How much are you going to make from this?"
Harry was amused with all of Leila's questions, and replied with an honest answer. "Around 200 Galleons profit. 400 of the Galleons will be used to pay for materials, paying the workers, tax, stuff like that."
"Cool! Can you order dinner now?" Leila childishly stuck her tongue out at Harry when Harry looked surprised by the sudden change of subject.
Once again remembering that Leila was only 11, Harry nodded and proceeded to apparate away, getting food from a nearby muggle restaurant.
