The world folded out around Percy revealing an empty terrain of nothingness, as he ran, seeking safety. His body was heavy and each step was a larger strain then the last.

A scream erupted behind him and a cry of his name. Percy looked back to see a billowing cloud of darkness, sliding rapidly towards a cowering figure on the ground. Percy turned, commencing his run towards the screaming Hermione as she laid to the mercy of the darkness.

Percy increased his pace, but found that he was getting nowhere, as if the ground beneath his feet was a giant treadmill.

A second scream.

Percy turned once again to this time, the sight of an injured Annabeth. She was on her knees and covered in blood from wounds all over her body. Once again, he altered his direction, disregarding Hermione and running for Annabeth.

This time the ground allowed him to reach her, but when he gripped her shoulders in comfort, she exploded into a cloud of darkness that billowed up into the air taking the shape of a dementor. Percy hastily pulled riptide from his pocket before noticing a figure standing behind the dark creature.

"Harry!" He called, insisting the boy cast a patronus.

"You need to wake up," Harry replied, his face calm, yet his voice was frantic and panicked. "Wake up, Percy!"

Percy shook himself, he knew when he was having a demigod dream usually... this felt too real.

No time for him to think as more screams erupted the air from behind him. Percy turned to a terrifying scene.

Annabeth, Ron, Ginny, Leo, Piper, Luna... even Jason, Hazel, Frank, Grover and the Slytherin boy, Draco, were in a huddle together as a wave of darkness sailed towards them, crashing over their heads before Percy could take a step. He watched from a distance as they were swallowed by darkness.

"What have you done?" Percy glanced to his left. Nico was standing by his side, his eyes heavy and angered. "You promised to keep them safe." Percy tried to argue that he promised nothing, but his mouth was sealed closed.

"It wasn't his fault," came another voice. Percy looked to his right to see an old man standing by his side. He was tall with a long white beard to match his long hair. He held a pointed hat in his hands. A wizard. "It was his," the wizard reached out a thin finger and pointed back towards the sea of darkness.

Percy followed his gaze to see a figure riding calmly across the waves, much like Percy did himself in the ocean many times before.

The figure stepped off the waves and moved towards him. He was tall and built, with black hair, black eyes and dark cloaks, flowing around his body. Evil seemed to radiate off him.

His lips rose in a wicked grin, as he lifted his head into the light.

Percy stared in disbelief at the man who stood before him.

Himself.

[line break]

Harry woke to screaming.

His eyes flew open to the desperate wails of Hermione, only for the screams to cease as quickly as they started. His eyes danced across the white ceiling, a common sight for him to wake to.

He knew instantly he was in the hospital wing.

Now that the screaming had silenced, Harry could hear the sound of soft banging. He rolled his head slowly to the side to see a figure in the bed beside him, thrashing dangerously in the sheets.

Harry moved to stand quickly. He found his footing and stood, his head spinning as he fought to the bed. His eyebrows furrowed at the sight of Percy.

His black hair was slicked to his forehead with sweat, his lean body was threaded with the white sheeting. His face was pale with fear, and his lips were moving as if he were talking, but no sound was coming out.

Harry shook his friends shoulders, but he didn't wake.

"Harry!" The fearful call escaped Percy's lips, frightening Harry, who began to shake his shoulders harder.

"You need to wake up!" He yelled frantically into the demigods face. "Percy, wake up!"

But he didn't. Instead the doors burst open and Madame Pomfrey burst in followed by Hermione, who must of been working with the nurse today. Harry sighed with relief to see that her screams must of been in his own head.

"Harry, you're awake!" Hermione exclaimed, more in surprise then pleasure.

"What's happening?" Pomfrey asked, falling to Percy's side.

"I think he's having a bad dream," Harry explained. "A really bad dream."

Suddenly a scream escaped Percy's lips, loud and piercing as he eyes flew open. He was as white as the sheets draping his body.

"Where's Annabeth?" He questioned instantly. "Where is she?"

"In the next room," Pomfrey replied, "waiting for you to wake up."

"Is he okay?" Came a cry from the other side of the wall, "Percy?"

"Annabeth!" Percy yelled back, throwing back the sheets and streaming towards the door as Annabeth entered the room.

He threw his arms around her, before pressing his lips to hers. They stood in the center of the hospital, kissing and clinging desperately to each other. Annabeth pulled away to see trickles of tears falling down Percy's cheeks.

"Percy, are you okay?" She asked desperately, "what happened?"

"Demigod dream," he whispered into her ear, gripping her tighter.

"Madame, may Percy and I go for a walk?" Annabeth asked the nurse politely.

"I would prefer you didn-"

"Please," Percy whimpered an interruption. "We won't be long." Madame Pomfrey wet her lips uncomfortably, pondering the question.

"Fifteen minutes," she eventually said, "and don't leave the hospital gardens." The demigods nodded. Percy snatched his orange camp half blood shirt up of his bedside table and pulled it over the white teeshirt he was wearing before they stumbled out the door.

It was early Thursday and students were out and about in the sun, making the most of the weather before it cooled down any further as winter approached. Lessons would be starting in a quarter of an hour, so Annabeth was dressed in uniform.

Percy wrapped his hand around Annabeth's as they wandered the garden.

"What happened in your dream?" Annabeth questioned.

"So much I don't understand," he responded softly, before proceeding to explain the dream. He told of Hermione, Annabeth and Harry, he told of the wave. Then he reached the part about Nico, and he stopped.

"What happened after the wave crashed?" Annabeth asked impatiently. Percy cleared his throat.

"A man I don't recognized spoke to me," Percy continued, skipping over Nico. "A wizard I think- he told me it wasn't my fault."

"Why would it be your fault?" Percy shrugged. "What happened next?"

"I woke up," Percy lied.

"You woke up?" Annabeth repeated. Percy swallowed the ball of saliva in his throat and nodded. His gut churned as he lied to his girlfriend. Annabeth glanced at his suspiciously, convinced he wasn't telling the whole story, as they continued walking through the garden.

The rest of the walk was mostly in silence, until the school bell chimed and Madame Pomfrey came hunting for them. Annabeth was sent to class, while Percy was chased back into the hospital wing.

Climbing back into bed in his jeans and orange camp teeshirt, he looked over to Harry who was watching him with concern. Hermione was perched on the end of his bed.

"You boys call out if either if you feel dizzy, hungry, or in anyway unwell," Pomfrey instructed. "Come along Miss Granger," she continued, moving for the doors. Hermione cast Harry a quick smile before following the nurse out of the room.

"You alright Percy?" Harry asked immediately.

"Yeah," Percy mumbled a reply. "Bad dream. Are you alright? You've been out for over three weeks."

"Yeah, I feel totally fine now. I wish I knew why happened though in the hall," Harry replied somberly. Percy nodded in agreement.

The boys sat in silence a moment before Harry reached down to the floor on the other side of his bed a pick up a small box. He threw it across the beds to Percy's lap.

"Want one?"

Percy read the box.

"Berti Botts every flavored jellybeans," he glanced at Harry.

"Ron brought them in for me," Harry explained. "That's why the box is already half empty." Percy opened the box, pulled out a blue one (never turn down food that is blue) and popped it in his mouth.

"Blueberry," he said. "Yum." After swallowing, he reached immediately for a follow up red one. Throwing it onto his tongue he began to chew slowly, trying to work out the flavor. And then it hit him.

"Chilli!" He wailed. "It burns! It burns!"

"Eat a white one," Harry laughed. "They're sometimes milk."

"Sometimes?" Percy repeated uncertainly, but grabbed one reguardless. "It's glue!" He wailed, praying Harry wouldn't question how he knew what glue tasted like. He wasn't the smartest kid around in the first grade.

Harry laughed and tossed a golden box across to Percy.

"Here."

"I'm not eating anymore wizard food," Percy argued, as he tried to get foul taste out of his mouth.

"It's just chocolate," Harry insisted, "I swear."

"On the river styx?" Percy asked, holding the box uncertainly.

"Uh yeah, sure."

Slowly Percy pull the lid open. A croak emerged from inside.

"Harry!" Percy exclaimed as a dark brown frog bounded onto his bed cloth.

"Grab it!" Harry instructed. Percy reached for the frog as it lurched into the air. He got a grip on it and it fell still.

"You said it was just chocolate!" Percy wailed.

"You've just got to catch it first," Harry explained. "It's perfectly good chocolate now." Percy shook his head at Harry, but was smiling ridiculously.

He bit into the chocolate, and chewed happily, glad to be driving away the taste of red hot chilli and glue. As he nibbled on the chocolate, while Harry ate his own, Percy inspected the empty chocolate frog box.

"Whats this?" Percy asked, pulling a card from the bottom.

"Chocolate frog card," Harry explained. "It's the profiles of famous witches and wizards."

"Why is your photo on this one?" Percy asked, rolling the card over in his hand to read about Harry.

"Well, ah... Oh look, I got Dumbledore!" He exclaimed, moving away from the story of his past. Percy eyed him suspiciously as Harry passed his own chocolate frog card across to Percy.

Percy pulled it up to see the wizards face on the card.

His breath caught in his throat.

"Sorry, who's this again?"

"Albus Dumbledore," Harry explained. "He was headmaster two years ago."

"Why did he leave?" Percy question. Harry glanced about the room and fiddled with the box in his hand.

"He um... He was killed."

"He's dead?" Percy repeated, his tone growing frantic. Harry nodded slowly.

"What's wrong?" The wizard asked, as Percy looked down at the card.

"In my dream, Albus Dumbledore spoke to me."
