Marissa stretched, and she eyeballed the outfit mother set out for her. It seems so...adorable (I will post some art of this story on Deviantart as well as multiple cover ideas...I just don't know when. Maybe soon. Anyway, back to the story). She slowly got out of bed, and she got dressed. Has she always worn heels? Eh, oh well. She went downstairs, and she sat at the table. Mother (we all know the truth and that this lady isn't her mother, but I don't have any other names for her, so we'll just call her mother) was waiting for her, cooking eggs, bacon, hashbrowns and to drink, orange juice. She ate in silence as mother sat next to her at the table.
"Is something wrong, dear?" she asked.
"Oh…," Marissa pondered, "Nothing, mother. I'm fine."
"Okay, sweetheart, I can't have my daughter being upset, now can I?"
"Uh...I guess not...it feels weird...not remembering anything,"
"I know, sweetheart, but that will change soon. I promise," Marissa doesn't notice, but she smirks evilly.
"Well, okay...so...what do you want me to do now, mother?" she asked.
"Oh, you don't take care of those nasty chores, dear. I handle all of them," mother replied.
"Oh, okay...um...so...what should I do?"
"Whatever you like, my dear. You're responsible."
She shrugged and roamed the house. It was so weird...not being able to remember anything. She looked at the dolls around her, and she smiled at them. Looking around the house...there weren't much for windows, and if there were any, they were quite small, unallowing her to see the outside. She had to wonder what it was like outside...not having memory made her more curious about the world. What had she known before? What had she done before? Had she any friends? Question after question, she wondered about. She wondered if she now basically lived a brand new life. Maybe her lost memories are gone forever, and with it the girl Marissa once was. She stared at the door, and she decided to walk up to it...she had to know what outside felt like, looked like, sounded like…
Nightmares plagued Phineas' mind as he slept. They all seemed to involve dolls, button eyes, sewing needles, a syringe and most important, Marissa. The newest nightmare had a sequence of events. First a doll, then Marissa...but after that it seems not to allow him to see more. He woke with a jolt. He looked at where Marissa's bed was...but it was gone...why was this happening? Why was Marissa just...disappearing from existence it seemed? He knew she was out there...somewhere. Where that somewhere was...he didn't know. He felt his forehead, still feeling a little warm. He sighed knowing his family wouldn't allow him to leave with his fever running...not to mention he didn't even know where he was going...he had to think quick. Maybe there was something he'd missed that just might lead to Marissa's whereabouts...but what?
Marissa headed for the door. She had to know. She opened the door, and instantly a cool summer breeze blew at her, and the sunlight hit her face. She could smell the grass and dew drops. She could see the clouds and the sun for only a little bit. She could hear birds chirping and cars from another street, since nobody else lived on Dortonnon Street, and she could hear the whistle of the wind. Her hair blew in the breeze. She found it a pleasant setting to be in. She twirled in the yard as she headed out further. She wanted to know more. Before she could step foot off the lawn, however, she heard a voice.
"Get back in here!" mother ran out to her, "the outside world is a dangerous place, dear."
"But, mother, it's so beautiful out here," Marissa said giving a daydreamy sigh and twirl, but mother was not pleased.
"Everything is not as it seems, my dear. After all, look at that…" she looked for a good excuse to get her treasure out of the sunlight, for being outside meant possibilities of meeting people, and meeting people meant regaining her memories possibly, and then she saw it, her perfect excuse, "that bee! That bee is dangerous!"
"Awww, hi little guy. You're so cute," however, the bee stings Marissa...just what mother needed, "owch!"
"See? The outside world is a dangerous place, dear."
"Well...okay...but...what will I do inside for all my life?" Marissa asked.
"Oh you'll find out soon enough," mother muttered under her breath in an evil tone, "I have plenty of books. You love to read, don't you?"
"Well...I guess so. I mean, you are my mother, so if anyone knows me, it's you," and Marissa left it at that, walking into the house. Mother instantly shut the door, locked it to keep out intruders and keep Marissa inside, and she took the key with her. Marissa shrugged, and headed out to, what she now knew was there, the library in the house.
"Well...mother knows best, I suppose."
Okay, this one's a little shorter than previous chapter. However I have a reason for that. I don't wanna rush the story, so I'm trying to come up with some filler chapters! Hey! That's it! I'll ask YOU GUYS to suggest some filler drabbles. It can either be with Phineas or Marissa. They cannot collide yet! (that comes later). So...send me your requests. I'd really appreciate it!
Oh and...okay...so I was looking at some old stories (ya know, 'Nightmare Visioninator', 'Holocaust Blues', 'Anti Phineas', and others) and...good gosh I just couldn't bear reading them now that my formatting has improved! I'm thinking of NOT REWRITING THEM, but fixing my format errors and reposting them...what do you guys think?
And one more thing...I've been thinking...do you think I should change my pen name/screen name (whatever ya call it here) from iheartphinabella05 to Marissa Flynn527? What do you guys think?
Review with a filler drabble idea (feel free to submit more than one. I can't guarantee it'll be used, but submit it), answering both my questions and just something to say about the chapter.
Carpe Diem!
