Hello people sorry for the late upload but essays and exams have been kicking my butt :( I hope you enjoy this chapter :P enjoy and have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS where ever you are :P

Groaning I fling myself back down the mountain with Bofur on my tail, his hand clings to mine as we race to get as far away as possible. Looking behind me I can see the wargs eyes glinting and flashing full of murderous intent in the moonlight. My chest starts to shrink with fear and I can't help but gasp.

"Keep running Lass!" Trying to nod, gasp and run is quite hard to do I'll let you know, especially when there are wargs running after you to rip you to to pieces, why on earth did I come on this bloody quest I swear I've never met a more troublesome group of dwarves! A sharp and sudden tug on my wrist makes me stop just in time before I could continue over the side of the mountain, gulping slightly I glimpse over the edge and there was no way down at all! Turning my head so I was looking at Bofur I couldn't help but think maybe this was the last time I would see him properly before the gates of Mahal. As he turns his head I can see his eyes glittering with the usual mischief and his cheeky grin plastered on his lips, bemused I tilt my head as his hands grip my waist.

"Time to fly beautiful." Huh?

"Bofur what ar- AHH!" His hands hook under my arms and fling me up into the tree branches, clinging onto one I glare down at the ground where Bofur is easily climbing up the branches.
"Was there any need for that?" His cheeky grin was spread across his face as he pulled himself up by me.

"There was every need love" raising an eyebrow at him he bends down and holds out his hands, using them I push myself up into the higher branches, hooking my legs on the branch I lower my top half and grab Bofur's extended arms and yank us both up. All I can say is Bofur is not a slight dwarf and ouch!

Climbing up further and further we manage to get to a height where we felt was a safe enough distance from the floor and the wargs. Howling and an Orcs scream was heard all around us.
"Bofur?" His eyes met mine once again but there was no humour this time, no laughter or mischief only fear and worry. Trying to hide my own fear I grasp one of his hands and pull him closer to me and the tree trunk. "Bofur it's going to be okay!"

"Best you could come up with love?" Amused that he could still joke around even though we were facing death once again I smiled innocently up at him as I run a finger softly down his cheek which I then have to jerk away to cling to the tree trunk as an almighty shudder runs up the tree. Bofur suddenly moves closer to me and pushes me up against the tree trunk securing my body there as well as his. Looking down I. Can see the wargs snapping off the lower branches, their teeth flashing and spit flying, shaking slightly I bury my head into the crook of Bofur's neck and try to breath and pray to Mahal that we would get out of this alive.

"Azog!" Thorin's gasp snaps my head up straight and my eyes widen, please please let him be wrong!

"Nuzdigid? Nuzdi gast? Ganzilig-I unarug obod nauzdanish. Torin undag Train-ob."

"It cannot be!" My grip on Bofur's hand increases as I catch a glimpse at the pale monstrous figure which caused so much pain to me and my family! Hate grows in my throat and I can feel my lips curl in a feral snarl but that soon stops when the monster screeches:
"Kod, Toragid biriz. Worori-da!" A scream rips from my throat as the wargs tear at the tree with a new purpose and vigour, breaking the branches apart and ripping the the trees down limb by limb. "Sho gad adol!"

The trees starts to uproot and more and more dwarves jump into our tree. Bofur moved away and grasped my hand, giving me a gentle smile I nod to show I understand what he wants from me and bend my knees as our tree lets an almighty groan and crack sound out across the forest as it starts to tilt and then fall towards the last tree. Leaping forward I manage to grab a branch as Bofur lands on his stomach beside me. With a helping hand off Bofur we manage to tighten ourselves before the wargs surround the tree we are in now, clinging to Bofur's tree I start to count the dwarves and Bilbo, as well as Gandalf, and see that they all managed to get into the tree unharmed. Balin, stood on my right, checks over the number of our company and releases a breath also sending me a small smile. Before I could even return the smile a bright light flew past my face and hit a warg in the nose, what now is the sky going to start raining fire as well?

"Fili!" Looking above I can see a burning pinecone fall down into Fili's hand in which then Bilbo uses another pinecone to light it before throwing them into the sea of wargs. Well at least I know the sky isn't raining fire.

Grinning mischievously at both Bofur and Balin I pluck a pinecone from the branch we are on and rub my hands around it quickly releasing sparks of flame into it. I can't help but chuckle at their shocked faces as I throw the pinecone and it hits it's bullseye, or well wargseye,.
"Full of surprises aren't you lass?" Laughing I get another pinecone and set it alight handing it to Balin and then repeat the process and hand another one to Bofur, the howls of pain from the wargs was a welcome sound after all the hell they put us through, revenge is a dish served best ear .. With burning pinecones?

We all begin to cheer as the Wargs retreat a little and some running far away in the forest with their fur burning their bodies, laughing we all jeer at the Wargs and orcs until we feel the tree start to move and suddenly those cheers now turn into cries of fear. Yelping I cling onto the branch as the roots of our tree starts to give way and then we are all hung over the edge of the cliff. Looking down I can barely make out the individual trees, gulping I strengthen my grip on the branch and try to link my legs around the branch also but I just did not have the energy any more.

"Mister Gandalf!" Looking over I can see Dori clinging into a branch with Ori grasping at his boots, shock hits me as Doris fingers slip from the branch but thankfully Gandalf reached down with his Staff and Dori caught it, breathing a sigh of relief I checked on the two dwarves next to me and see Balin safely, or as safely in this situation you can be hanging from one branch with his feet touching another one, Bofur was in the same situation as me trying to hook his legs on the branch but all our energy was sapped up from everything that has happened since the mountains and no sleep. Hearing a feral growl I look and see Thorin stand up on the trunk with his sword drawn and raised then start to run towards the pale Orc.

"Thorin NO!" I try to scream to him but he doesn't listen and carries on running to his impending doom, stupid arrogant proud Dwarf! Struggling I try to pull myself up the branch but only manage to move an inch, growling in desperation I look back to where our leader was running towards his death, oaken branch shielding him but I know this time that branch will not save him. I could see the Orc crouch then the warg leaps at Thorin who tries to swing at it but it's futile as the warg manages to hit him square in the chest with its paw and floors him.

"Bofur we've got to do something!" He nods and with renewed effort we both try to climb up the branch and we get pretty far until the branch cracks in two, me and Balin are flung to one side as Bofur is smashed into another branch. Gasping in pain I grip onto the branch again and catch Balin's arm as he flies backwards and bring him back to the branch safely, sending me a thankful look he looks over the trunk and moans in pain, looking over I can see Thorin be flung from the wargs mouth onto a plain of rock and even from here I could see his sword fly out of his hand. Dwalin tries to help him but it only ends up with his branch snapping and he's hung over the side of the tree the same as all of us.

"Biriz torag khobdudol!" (Bring me the Dwarfs head). Snarling I once again try to climb up the tree and manage to hook my feet into the sections of wood and haul myself up onto the trunk panting, sweat drips down my forehead as I reach one hand out and yank myself onto the base of the trunk safely. Closing my eyes as I hear a screech I lower my head onto my hands and pray to Mahal and any other dwarf, elf or wizard that was listening to give the power I need just to save this idiotic dwarfs life. Wearily I pull myself onto my feet and see Bilbo standing in front of Azog with Thorins head thankfully still intact with his body. A feral growl ripped out of my throat as I see Azog threaten Bilbo, somehow I manage to make my legs start to run faster and faster until I am face to face with the Warg and Orc which nearly destroyed my entire family, I would not let this happen again!

"Out of the way She-Dwarf!" Smirking at the Orc I bare my teeth as my hands start to burn and trickle with heat, thank you Mahal for helping me.

"You destroyed my one family Orc you shan't get the chance ever again!" With that my hands light up with blue flame and I could feel the temperature drop a few degrees as it usually does when my magic surfaces. "Ready to die Orc!" Without giving it a chance to reply I throw all my power into hitting the warg in front of me, it's fur catches on fire but instead it's colouring was blue and the howl of pain was enough to make Azog and his warg take a few steps back. "Run away little boy before I slaughter you all!" I snarl as I stand fully in front of Thorin and Bilbo, Hans's thrust out ready to do as I promised.

"You think I am scared of you woman?" Smiling menacingly, I crouch down the ground ready to leap.

"You ought to be." Before the vile thing could reply all my dwarves appear out of the flames and start attacking the wargs and Orcs. Flying forward as fast I could I clasped my hands around the white Wargs face and let my magic burn it's face, a sharp blow to my right side sent me hurtling towards the ground before my magic could really take effect. Groaning slightly in pain I fling myself back onto my feet as the warg sets it's eyes on me, happily I could see it's fur and skin on its face was burnt and blistering. Azog was no longer smugly smiling but now there was a vicious look on his face and I knew in that moment he was going to kill me with pleasure, that is if he could ever get his hands on me. Rolling my shoulders forward I was ready for what ever move he made, what I was not ready for however was the eagle that swooped down and grabbed me. Screaming as it dropped me I landed onto a soft back of another eagle, letting my magic return back into my body I glimpse over the side and see all the dwarves, wizard and hobbit be picked up too, Gandalf's relieved and smiling face was a big enough clue that he was the one who sent for help.

Running my fingers through the eagles soft feathers I sit up properly and let the wind swoop and dance on my skin and in my hair, tickling along my fingers and arms which were out stretched I could almost believe that I was flying and not the magnificent eagle below me. Smiling I looked at the approaching dawn and wondered at its bright colouring, how could a night that was so dark and bleak suddenly have a dawn as beautiful and as colourful as this? Leaning forward again I hold onto the eagles feathers gently as he or she flew with her group for hours until we came to a high piece of land, I think I remember it being called the Carrock. Sweeping down gracefully in circles my eagle mounted the rock and allowed me to slide off it's back. Turning back round to the beautiful animal I give my most practised curtsy and thanks to the bird. Bowing it's head slowly it then soars back into the sky with its fellow eagles and flies away into the distance.

Turning back round I do not see Bofur just yet who must still be on one of the eagles, what I do see is Gandalf bent over Thorin, running over I quickly fall on my knees and give Gandalf my hands. He sends me an unsure look which I frown at and motion at my fingers.

"I know you need a life source Gandalf, my friend use mine." Nodding gently he reaches out one hand and grasps both of my hands while with his other softly goes over Thorin's face as Gandlaf mumbles in an ancient language, slowly I could feel myself weaken and soon I was slumped over until we all heard Thorin's intake of breath. Gasping with relief I push myself backwards and try to sit down elegantly but instead it was more a slump than anything.

"Laecla?!" Tilting my head up slightly I see Bofur's beautiful glittering eyes in front of me, trying to give him a reassuring smile I lean back slightly but end up slumped over again. "You are a daft one lass I'll give y' that!" Chuckling slightly I rub my forehead and look back up at the dwarf who had completely stolen my broken and bruised heart.

"Sorry Love." Shaking his head he kneels down in front of me as his eyes quickly go over my body checking for any injuries I am guessing.

"Lae you know you are bleeding, right?" Frowning I shake my head and look down and see blood dribbling from my right side, thinking back it must have been when Azog hit me with his metal hand thing. Hissing slightly when I pull my top off the wound I worry my lip between my teeth. A rough finger brushes my cheek as another slides around my waist. "Time to get you standing love, Thorin is awake now." Nodding I hold onto his shoulders as he gently stands me up, sliding one hand around my waist he helps me walk over to the other dwarves who all send me warm smiles as Dwalin and Kili help Thorin stand. Pushing the two away he faces Bilbo with a scowl all over his face, oh great!

"You! What were you doing? You nearly got yourself killed! Did I not say that you would be a burden? That you would not survive in the wild and that you had no place amongst us?" Glaring at Thorin, it was only Bofur's arm around my waist that kept me from beating his head but then he has to go and surprise us all as he smiles and embraces Bilbo and states: "I've never been so wrong in all my life!" Are these bloody dwarves trying to give me a heart attack? "I am sorry I doubted you!"

"No I would have doubted me too. I'm not a hero or a warrior ... Not even a burglar." We all watched as the eagles flew above us and into the distance, sighing happily I lean into Bofur a little and rest my cheek on his shoulder. "Is that what I think it is?" Raising my eyebrows at Bofur we follow the others and see Erebor standing in the dawn light coloured in light purples and pinks.

"Erebor - The Lonely Mountain. The last of the great dwarf kingdoms of Middle-Earth." Smiling up at the old Istari I feel worry start to creep in as I look over the vastness of Mirkwood.

"Our home!" A twittering caught the whole attention of the group as a bird fluttered by and off I to the distance towards Erebor.

"A raven! The birds are returning to the mountain!" ion shouts excitedly, amused I hide my grin in Bofur's shoulder and chuckle to myself.

"That, my dear Oin, is a trush." Of all the birds to mix up Oin.

"But we'll take it as a sign - a good omen." Thorin's voice booms out and I think we were all hoping it was a good sign.

"You're right. I do believe the worst is behind us!"
