Don't hate me, but I'm so sorry for making you all wait for a month but thank you for your patience and reviews! :)
But this chapter is finally here and in it, we might find out why Austin is so angry at everyone all the time...or half the reason.
Disclaimer: I Do Not Own Austin nor Ally but they are owned by the lovely people who write them! :)
Recap:
"Fine. I won't answer it again." I said to him.
"Good. And in just in case you forget in the future, don't ever let him in. If he comes to the door again and you answer it, I will have you sent home faster than you can imagine." he told me firmly.
"Yes boss." I said turning around and closing the door.
I didn't want to discuss the situation anymore with him but I knew one thing...never let Ethan in.
"The answer is United States!" Austin exclaimed as we were sitting back on my bed.
I smiled at him because this was the first time he actually had gotten an answer right that I had asked him...after 5 hours of solving the problem.
"Exactly! You got the right answer!" I said.
"I am so smart!" he said happily.
"See Austin, I knew you could do it!" I told him smiling.
"Wow, I never thought I would get anything related to school right." he said.
"Well I guess you learn something new everyday." I said.
"Yeah, I guess I do."
"Well that's all the lesson is for the day. We'll start math tomorrow." I said getting up from the bed and heading for the door.
"Ugh! We have to do this everyday! It took forever doing this." he whined.
"Yes, that's what tutoring means." I said as I finally approached the door and turned around to face him. "You'll get it Austin, I know you will." I finished.
And with that, I turned back around and out the door. Once I left I couldn't help but smile to myself at how I was starting to really make a difference in Austin's unexplained life...well almost.
I still didn't understand why he was freaking out about the whole "letting Ethan in" incident and to be honest, I really wanted to know why.
I knew I wasn't going to get anything out of Austin so I had to go to someone who had been with for so long, someone closer to him that would tell me anything without even giving it a second thought...Dez.
I was now in the kitchen and dining room hall looking all over for Dez but couldn't find him anywhere. I was now in the kitchen where I instantly saw everyone cooking and organizing plates and whatnot seeing Trish and Elliot and soon the guy I was looking for.
"What have you been doing?" Trish asked walking over to me smiling.
"Nothing, I've just been helping Austin like always." I said.
"Well good thing you're here. We all wanted to know who was at the door a minute ago." Dez said walking over to me.
"That's actually the reason why I wanted to talk to you about." I said shyly.
Dez and Trish then gave me confuse glances and then looked a little scared to what I would say next.
"You wanted to talk to him?" Trish asked a little shocked.
"Well...yeah. I mean, you could help me too it's just that Dez has been with Austin and best friends with him for a really long time and so I wanted to know..." I started to trail off.
"Well whatever it is, I'm sure I can answer it." Dez said smiling leaning against the counter.
Here goes nothing.
"Okay so the person that came to the door looked so nice, sweet, and gentle and wanted to see how Austin was doing and so I went up there and told Austin and he just so angry that I didn't even know what or how to react to it..." I started to say.
"Ally, just tell us who was at the door." Trish said.
"He said his name is...Ethan." I said slowly.
And in just one second Trish and Dez and including Elliot who was behind them faces went from calm and collected to pale and frantic which made me even more curious than ever.
"Did you say Ethan?" Elliot whispered coming up to me.
"Yeah..." I said confused.
Something must have been very wrong if even they were taking it way more serious than it needed to be.
"Ally, you know I love you and all but if you want to see yourself fired...don't even talk or even mention Ethan in this house." Trish said to me cautiously.
"For once she's right, there's many rules around the Moon household but Ethan is the main one everyone must not break." Dez explained.
"Well why?" I asked.
It was just one guy, what's with all these people being mysterious and everything?
"Because if you do, all hell will break loose." Elliot said quietly making sure Austin didn't hear him.
"What did Ethan do so bad though?" I then asked.
They all looked at each other hesitantly not sure if they wanted to tell me or not. But I worked here just like they did and I did have some kind of right to know.
"Ally, when we say we can't talk about it...we can't talk about it." Trish said to me.
"I don't understand, I thought we were best friends. Don't best friends tell each other everything?" I asked nicely but a little offended to all three of them.
They simply just looked at me and sighed sadly.
"I would love to but I just...can't." Dez said.
That was it, I was pissed. If people wanted me to think Austin wasn't the biggest jerk he appeared to be how could I do that if I knew almost nothing about him.
I finally decided to make my decision. If they weren't going to tell me, I was going to find out myself wether anyone liked it or not.
"Fine, don't tell me." I said getting angry turning around and leaving the room.
I was now walking near the front door right after I left the kitchen. I needed to get out of here and take a walk. Living in a house full of secrets wasn't as easy as you think.
I finally opened the front door and about to walk out of it until someone stopped me before I left.
"Wait Ally!" a familiar voice said...Elliot.
I quickly turned around and gave him confused yet mad look.
"What?" I asked. He sighed and looked down for a minute and looked back up to me.
"Go to the city's library, look in the newspapers dating back to 4 years ago on July 14, look for Austin's family name...then you'll find your answer." he told me.
I wanted to give him the biggest friendliest hug ever but I had too much to do than to do that so I simply just smiled.
"Thanks!" I said happily.
"Now before you do that, if anyone ask you where you got anything from don't mention my name." he warned me.
"Of course." I said turning back around and started to head out the door until he stops me again.
"Oh and Ally..."
I turned to face him getting confused at what he was going to say next until he said something that left me wondering if I really did want to know things about Austin's life.
"Sometimes, things are best to keep as secrets." he said cautiously.
And with that he turns back around and walks away back to his job leaving me guessing what he meant by that but I didn't care...I needed to know something about my new possible friend.
Things I know about Austin Moon:
*He's very short tempered
*He's very secretive
*He likes romantic comedy movies or just romantic movies in general
*He owns a DVD that's meant for little kids
*He likes Pancakes
*He needs tutoring
*He can be very smart when he wants to be.
*He hates some guy name Ethan
That was it, the list I was making as I was leaning against the library counter waiting for someone to come help me.
It was only 8 things on that list and I didn't know any reasons behind all of them. I couldn't get any of the logical answers to them simply because every time I asked Austin something about himself, he would always get so defensive and just get angry with me or just try to change the subject.
I quickly put the piece of paper I had away as the lady behind the counter came up to me smiling.
"How can I help you?" she asked me.
"Hi, do you by any chance happen to have any newspapers dating back to 4 years ago anywhere?" I asked.
"We sure do, we usually keep them on the second floor so you can go up there and look." she said nicely.
I smiled to her and turned around walking up to the 2nd floor scared to see what I might find. Scared that whatever it was, it was going to be bad or maybe just like Elliot said...maybe it was going to be something that should have just been a secret.
Once I finally got there I looked around until I approached the section where it was located at and started looking through the papers anxiously trying to get what I needed fast and get out of there before someone accidentally catches me.
After 20 minutes of looking I finally came across the paper I needed and pulled it out and sat down at the table and started skimming it to see if there was that little information I needed to finally know about Austin.
At first I couldn't find anything though and I knew that it was just hopeless to find something in this paper since I didn't have very much time left. I was about to give up until I finally found what I was looking for and was shocked, appalled, and surprised at the same time as I continue reading.
On Friday July 14, 2010 an accident took place in Cincinnati, Ohio
2 kids were walking along the road until someone ran their car off the road aiming for them and scaring one but ending a life of another.
The surviving victim was 13 year old Austin Moon who had been walking with his little brother Adam Moon that night. Unfortunately the victim who lost their life was 4 year old Adam Moon who was found dead on sight.
Police have not been finding any evidence to who would do something to harm the family's life but the surviving victim Austin Moon, suspected a former classmate Ethan who use to be an old friend of his did it but had no proof.
Police took Ethan into questioning but didn't find anything that could link him to the situation and released him.
The victim's parents Mike and Mimi Moon didn't know why their son told the police Ethan was the alleged culprit in this. Soon the case was dropped and was never solved as the Moons moved from Ohio to Miami, Florida trying to get their family back again but always remembering their loving son Adam, forever.
After I was finished reading everything I could feel my heart breaking for him. I had known half of the reason why Austin Moon hated the world and basically hated everyone.
He had a little brother and saw him die all because someone was either drunk or purposely ended his life and if you asked me, I would hate the world too if that happened to me.
But Austin needed to know that the world wasn't always like this, good things came to people to and many people may have not shown him that this was true...but I was.
I finally knew why Ethan was not to be mentioned or even thought of in front of him or even in the house...but Elliot was right. Something like this, was best to keep a secret.
I was now back at the house pacing around in my room scared and worried that Austin might find out I researched him or even worse, knew about his little brother and was going to hate me forever.
I didn't want to tell him about what I found out because to be honest, I was scared to. He might have yelled at me in the worst possible way, call me every name he could think of, or even worse than that...fire me.
But I realized that I did need more information than this. Such as why someone who looked nice, sweet, and condescending would ever be someone who was involve in something like a freak accident or murder like Ethan was.
I didn't know why Austin would accuse Ethan of doing that and many more unexplained answers and fact I knew nothing about.
I figured if I did want to know something I would have to not just look in the local newspaper but snoop around in the house to see if I could find anything.
And just like that I got an idea and thought of a place where all my answers could be in...the forbidden room.
I knew it was risky, I knew I could get into more trouble than I could imagine but I needed to do this...for both of us.
I quickly then ran to the door of my room and opened it up walking down the stairs making sure no one saw me especially Austin. It was now nearly 11 at night so he was either sleeping or in his room trying to which was the perfect opportunity to do what needed to be done.
Everyone else was home already including Trish, Dez, and Elliot so it was just me here roaming the house which was better for me anyway.
As soon as I got down the stairs I quickly but quietly ran all the way down the hallway until I finally got to the other side of the house. I finally soon managed to get to the room where I had been yelled at on my first day on the job and could see the dark cold pathway to the door.
I took a deep breath in and sighed and just like that I started walking up the cold-stoned staircase getting more scared and anxious than I ever been before.
I finally then came to the door and could feel how cold the secluded room was and could see it was the darkest room in the house. I opened the door slowly and started walking inside turning on the light that was on the wall but instead of seeing something that scared me, I saw something that surprised me.
It was a little private practice room that had a grand piano in the middle of it and instruments than I could think of all around it. From guitars, drums, harps, trumpets, and many more was all in one room.
It actually felt like my home away from home since I hadn't seen Sonic Boom in days and to be honest, this was the first room that made me feel welcomed in and it was the most hidden out of all of them.
I didn't know why it was here though since Austin didn't play music...or maybe he did. He did have that guitar in his room, maybe it was just another thing I didn't know about him.
The only problem though that made this place not feel like home was how vacant it was. It looked like none of this stuff had been used in years since half of them were in boxes and the piano was a little dusty.
I continued looking around the room trying to figure out why any of these instruments were in here if no one used them until I came across a guitar sitting up straight in a box.
It was red and white and it had a little picture attached to the top of it which made me curious but realized it was the same guitar that was once in his room today...he must had brought it up when I wasn't here so I wouldn't question it anymore.
I then walked over to it seeing the picture was something I was looking for that could help.
It was a picture of Austin and his little brother while they were in Ohio. I could see Austin smiling holding that guitar up in his hand as his little brother who had the same blonde hair and hazel nut eyes was smiling to the camera.
I was about to smile at how adorable both of them looked until I heard the sounds to something I didn't want to hear.
"What the hell are you doing up there?" I heard from down the stairs.
I instantly froze and turned around slowly looking down the stairs to the person that was going to make me regret doing any of this...Austin.
