Hello everyone and welcome back to another exciting chapter. I'm going to let you all know now that I have no idea where this story is going at this point since I'm just letting it take me wherever. I also have other story ideas going on through my head so I would greatly appreciate your reviews. I understand that I have been gone for a while, but I do need your support to keep this story going. If not I will lose interest in it so please R&R. Anyways, on with the story.

THIS IS MY LINE AND IT SAYS HI. THIS IS MY LINE AND IT SAYS BYE.

Griever nuzzles me gently while staring at Fenrir; who was still growling at me. I watch as everyone except Cloud laid on the ground. Cloud walks up beside Fenrir and just stands beside him. 'Guess we are having that talk now.' I stare at him before looking at Fenrir before sighing. "Guess we are. Except there is one thing that I would like to know before we get started. How can he bring us together and then turn around and attack me? That doesn't make a lot of sense. I would really like to know the answer to that one if you wouldn't mind after that I will explain everything that you would like me to." Cloud blinks at him before looking up at Fenrir to see a snarl on his face. 'Fenrir? I don't understand. If what he says is true, then why would you bring him here? He is right that doesn't make a whole lot of sense.' Fenrir looks down at Cloud and his gaze softens. *I brought the two of you together because I thought it would be good for the pack. Although, once I found out that he had bound himself to Griever I knew that what I had thought was wrong. * I snarl along with Griever. The two of them look over surprised. Griever moves me in front of me and growls loudly. I knew that Griever was livid, but I don't think they had realized just how livid he was. Fenrir had picked a very sore subject for not only me, but Griever as well.

Griever stood growling at the two of them and I just stood back and watched. I knew I wouldn't be staying here after this conversation but there was no getting around it now. Griever knew this as well. We both knew that Fenrir would not stop until we told him what was going on. This was going to hurt and I just don't want to be anywhere near here once everything was out. *Fenrir, you have overstepped your bounds this time. You are jumping to conclusions and making assumptions before even knowing the whole truth. You know very little of what is going on and now I come to find out that after you had called him here for your charge it was all a lie and was only to get me here! You say that he bound me to him when in fact it was the other way around. I bonded him to me! I was hunting and had almost caught my meal when I smelt blood and a lot of it. It startled me enough for my prey to catch on that I was there. I didn't care though and followed the scent of blood for miles before coming across a sight that, to this day, I wish that I could just forget. It was the pack that I had come to love and adore. There was nothing left of it. The entire pack was dead. Blood covered the entire ground and not a thing moved. I moved carefully through them hoping that there would be some sign of life, but I saw nothing. I wept for them that day and the sky did too. The rain poured like nothing I had ever seen before almost like it was crying too. *

'Wait, you said that the pack was destroyed, but if it was destroyed then how is Squall here?' Cloud asks. Griever chuckles. *I did say that, but at the time I thought they were all dead. I was just about to leave when I heard some whimpering. I stopped and turned around to find a blood covered puppy limping towards me. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. This small pup survived when the rest of his pack did not. It was hard for me to wrap my head around. None-the-less I knew that I couldn't just leave him to fend for himself. I had to do something to protect this young pup and so I decided to take him in. I picked him up and carried him away from the carnage that was his pack. I carried him to where my den was and groomed him. His coat was a dark brown and his eyes were the color of steel or gunmetal. I had never seen anything like it before, but he grew comfortable and soon fell asleep while I groomed him. When I was done, I looked him over and noticed that he was very thin. I could see his ribcage he was that thin. I stared in shock at what I was seeing. The pack that I had grown to love and adore was starving a pup. I was baffled it didn't make any sense and that was when I realized that he was not from this pack. I would have known. None of the females were pregnant and all the pups were almost full grown. They had to have been hiding him from another. While I thought, I guess he woke up and just laid there watching me. He made no noise the entire time and I started when I saw that he was awake. I nuzzled him and gave him affection. He didn't seem to know what to think because at first he just laid there but after a while he began to come out and would nuzzle me back. Before I knew it night was beginning to fall and his stomach began to growl, but still he made no noise of complaint. I was appalled by this and knew that I just had to feed him and get him into the habit of eating regularly. I nuzzled him and began to leave the den when I heard whining. I looked back and saw that he was trying to follow me. That broke my heart. This little pup had grown so attached to me that just the sign of me leaving was sending him into a panic, but I knew that I had to get him something to eat. That was when I remembered the pack that was not far from the den. I nuzzled him and pushed him back into the furs that were the bed and told him to stay. He seemed upset about it. I told him that I would be back and he let me leave, but not without some hesitation. I quickly took off in hopes of being able to ask for some assistance from the pack nearby and getting some food for the starving pup waiting for me back at my den. I finally came across the pack and they seemed surprised to see me. This was Xemnas' pack. I asked him if he had anyone that he could spare because I had a starving pup at my den, but I didn't feel comfortable leaving by himself. I explained the entire situation to Xemnas and he agree quickly enough. He sent Tifa with me and we quickly ran back just in time to find the pup looking down at us. I jumped up onto the cliff face and took him back inside while Tifa followed behind. She stood back while I got the little pup settled back down. I looked up at her and nodded for her to come closer. She did cautiously, but it still didn't help. He was trying to bury himself into my coat. I nuzzled him before nuzzling Tifa. He watched as I nuzzled Tifa and soon grew a little more curious and slowly moved towards her. I didn't bring attention to him while slowly made his way over to Tifa. When he was right next to her he yipped softly and we both looked at him. Tifa sniffed him slightly as did he to her. He then nuzzled her gently and I knew I would have no problem leaving him long enough to hunt. I stood up and walked back out of the den. He watched me leave, but didn't follow this time. I was able to catch a large elk not long after I left and took it back to find the two playing gently. He seen me and ran up to me. I put the elk down and he sniffed it. Tifa walked up to it and started tearing into it. She pulled some meat off and laid it in front of him. I knew he wasn't going to eat it but it didn't hurt to let him try. He looked at it before looking at me in confusion. I reached down and started tearing small pieces off and eating them. He soon started doing the same thing, but threw up everything he ate after about five minutes. Tifa stared in surprise, but I knew something like this might happen. He started whimpering and shaking like he had done something wrong which made me believe he had been punished if something like this had happened. I nuzzled him before cleaning the mess up. I tore off another small piece of meat, smaller than the last and set it in front of him. He ate it and then laid in the bed of furs before falling asleep. I sighed and began to eat. I explained the situation to Tifa and even she was appalled. She stayed with us for some time and he grew stronger as time went on. Soon it became apparent that he could no longer stay with me as I had to leave again soon. I knew it would be difficult for him but it would be better for him if he just joined up with Xemnas' pack. I made sure that he was safe and sound with the pack and then I left. So, you see Fenrir, you have jumped the gun again. He didn't bind me to him, I bound him to me. You should learn all the facts before you start spouting crap off. Unfortunately, now we will be leaving. You have a lot of making up to do and right now I'm unsure if this is even a smart thing to do anymore. * Griever says.

We turn away and I sigh at thinking that I had just lost my chance at finding my mate but I must agree with Griever that this was probably a bad idea to begin with. I feel Griever look at me, but before I could even think about the reason why I get tackled from behind. I feel myself tense up before hearing a soft whimper. "Cloud?" I ask softly. "You're not leaving! I won't allow it! I have spent every night from the time I turned ten until the day I met you dreaming of the day we would meet and now that I finally met you and have begun to see a new life for us all it is being ripped out from underneath me! That isn't fair and I won't allow it! You are MY mate and I won't just let you walk away! I don't care that you were abandoned, I don't care that Griever raised you, and I certainly don't care what Sephiroth or even Fenrir think of this whole thing! It is MY choice and no one else's! Please, please, I'm begging you not to walk away." I feel him shaking with pent up emotion and I look at Griever to find him starring at Fenrir. I look at Fenrir to find a surprised look on his face before he sighs and nods. Griever nuzzles me before walking over to Fenrir and the two walk off. I watch them go before looking back at Cloud. "You know regardless of which I choose I can't go anywhere if you don't get off my back." Cloud chuckles lightly. "Then I'm not moving because I don't want you to leave me." I smile gently before changing and standing up with him on my back. He gasps and clings to me as I begin to walk in the opposite direction of Fenrir and Griever. "Where are you going?" I chuckle lightly but don't answer. I continue walking before I pick up my pace and begin running through the trees making Cloud cling tightly to me. I listen to the sounds around me as I continue running before hearing running coming quickly towards me and I check to see who it is and find Sephiroth and Zack running towards me. I growl slightly and pick up my pace even more surprising Cloud. I see a cliff face and turn sharply and darting off around it to find a cave hidden in the side and quickly climb to it and enter. I slowly move to the back of the cave and let Cloud down. Cloud releases his hold and stares at me with wide eyes. "How?" I nuzzle him gently before quickly looking to the entrance to find Sephiroth and Zack standing there growling. I feel Cloud start at the tension, but I stay relaxed which in turn helps him to relax. I continue to stare at them before a soft scent reaches my nose and I turn to find the scent coming from Cloud who stares at him with a scared look on his face. I feel my body reacting to the scent before being thrown against the wall. I stand up to find Sephiroth snarling at me and Zack checking Cloud. I watch as Cloud relaxes slightly, but was still tense and then I realize why they were on edge. Cloud's heat has begun.
