Hi, My loves!

I'm back with another chapter!

I'm still colleging so you must've noticed the updates have been kept to one chapter a month. I'm balancing this story among others so it's much easier for me this way.

There is an important AN that You guys need to know so that will be after the review replies!

Kat Smith - Hi my baby love! It's been a while and I've missed you and your puppies! Yes, this Emily is also one of my favourite characters and yes, Bella leaving is sad. I tried to show her going to college as a break in T's own life - like a growing up eye opener, because she needs to realize her own human life is waiting for her besides the supernatural one. You're right about this chapter tho ;) Ok, so about the tests, even if you did score low, please know that it is not the end of the world. Your priority should be your health first and studies later. Don't push yourself too much. Especially if it wasn't graded and don't compare yourself to others too much. In the end, you will be the one living YOUR life, not her. Aww, I wish Bullet the best! Love you too!

wdQjP - Thank you!

GraceEllingson - Well, this is the end result of Emily's advice. Muahahaha Enjoy ;) ;)

A/N: Ok, so as promised there is a smut scene in this chapter. I have tried to keep it as non-explicit as possible and I HAVE TRIED, because I can't be feeding you the filth I usually can spout because I don't know if there are minors here under 15. I will not be delusional and think that kids don't down smutty things but as someone who just got out of her teens, I have 'responsibility' so yes, please be discreet. I have put a warning when the scene starts so if you want to skip it you can. The next chapter will undergo no change for you if you do skip it.

Anyway, Enjoy!

I stared at my reflection for a solid ten minutes, longer than I had ever done in my entire life. My skin looked sallow, must be all the lack of sun, my eyes were sunken from the lack of sleep in a good while and my lips were cracked for good no matter how much I tried to remedy the situation. Shrugging, I turned to the sink and began scrubbing the dried skin off them nonetheless before liberally applying some balm on them. Pulling my hair in a pony tail, I finally exited the bathroom, going to down to see Charlie buttoning up his fishing jacket.

"Hey," I said, moving to the coat rack too and unhooking my jacket as I turned to see him eyeing me in the mirror.

"You look better today." He huffed out. I winced, trying not to take it too hard. "Oh, you mean I was looking ugly these past few days?" I joked and his ears went red.

"No, no, I just meant," he began but I patted him on the back.

"It's ok, Charlie. I know what you meant and I'll take it as a compliment." I said, putting on my jacket.

"So…what's…new?" he asked, or stammered which made me smile.

"Well, I got a little advice off of Emily and I have made the decision that instead of always letting Edward come to me to talk things out or apologize, I'm going to put the first foot forward and talk to him myself." I smiled at my reflection and Charlie paused before smiling too.

"Well, I'm glad someone knocked some sense into you." he chortled; making my smile vanish as I turned to him but he quickly put his hands up in surrender.

"I'm just joking, just joking…although," he picked up his fishing equipment. "I know you need to talk things out and all but I also know I'm going to be gone all weekend. So…I trust you to be safe for three days." He warned.

I nodded vehemently and gave him a salute in acknowledgement.

He looked at me for one more second before he nodded to himself too walking out the door and closing it after himself. I turned and looked back at my reflection with a somewhat exhausted sigh. Deciding to give Charlie a good amount of head start, I kicked off my shoes again, retreating to my room and opening the locked drawer of my desk.

Pulling out the box in it, I looked at the newspaper from when Victoria was still making her army. The heavily marked paper brought a twisted smile to my face as the image of her snarling, enraged face returned to me. I quickly folded the paper, tossing it in the waste basket, going to close the box, just passing a cursory glance at the necklace Alec had given me, nestled among tissues in a corner.

Deciding that Charlie had had enough time, I went to exit the house myself, locking it after me.

With Bella gone, getting a brand new car for her prodigious return to Florida from Phil, the truck had been passed on to me. Not only would the truck not be able to make it in Florida, it was too old to last the drive.

Getting in the familiar cab, I gunned the thunderous engine to life and set the route to the Cullen Estate.

The roads were freshly swept clean with rain so the lawn the stretched out in front of their house looked more lush than usual.

I parked the truck right next to the garage and got out taking small steps towards their front door. At this point I was pretty sure that they could all hear me and that Edward could sense my mind but the door didn't swing open even as I stood right on their doorstep.

Taking a deep breath to bring my heart rate down I lifted my fist and rapped my knuckles against the heavy wooden door three times.

There was a pause, loaded with tension on my end as I strained to hear movement inside. Of course, it was a vain effort because they were vampires and could flit about the room in a nanosecond.

Yet, as I tilted my head towards the door, I heard shuffling, a few scrapes of shoes against the wooden floor before the door opened with a click.

Esme stood on the other side of the door, a small, soft smile pulling at the corners of her mouth as she regarded me.

"Hey Esme," I said shyly.

"Hello my dear, it's been a while," she said.

"Four weeks, nine days," I answered and she trilled out a laugh. "Yes, of course…I must say we've been expecting you." she said.

"Expecting…me…?" I asked.

"Mm hmm, Alice had a vision that had us all waiting for you to arrive or shall we say come back home." She said, lowering her voice as if it would stop any of the other occupants in the house from hearing her.

"Oh," I just said.

"They all left the house, so you can have all the privacy you want." She said. I flushed a bright red, feeling heat burn in the apples of my cheeks as she backed in so I could enter the house.

As she'd said, the house looked empty and even Esme ran off somewhere the moment I'd closed the door behind me.

"Um…Esme," I called but got no reply back as I loitered aimlessly in the foyer.

Now that I was here, I had no clue what to do. Was I supposed to wait for him to come for me? Was I supposed to call him up? I glanced at the piano and walked to it, pressing my fingers gently on the ivory keys, a disjointed sound coming from the instrument as I huffed, turning to the grand staircase.

I climbed it to the top floor to his room before stopping at his door again. I could feel his presence inside but was mine welcome? Deciding to get the answer, I knocked on his door too.

"It's open," the answer came almost immediately as if he'd been expecting me. No scratch that, he had been expecting me.

Licking my dry lips, I opened the door a crack, peeking inside sneakily to see him swing his feet off the bed and shut the book he was reading as he looked questioningly at the sliver of my face that he could see.

"Come in," he said and I slowly moved, slipping through the crack of the door and shutting it and turning to look at him again. "Esme let me in," I said by way of a greeting. He nodded.

"I heard,"

I pursed my lips, suddenly feeling shy and forgetting the entire speech I'd mugged up to rattle out to his face. The room began to feel bigger than it was – and it was big – and I could only look down at my shuffling feet.

"I'm surprised to see you here, I'll say. You have a long record of holding out during an argument." He said lightly, crossing his arms and taking a step closer to me and I grabbed at the opening.

"You're right, I do but then I also realize I was being stupid. I mean, just because I don't want to hurt my ego, I've been sitting in my house and you've been sitting in yours and we've just been rotting there and it's no good. We have to learn to talk to each other, Edward, to communicate. I want to try…do…you?" I finished with a question, watching his quirk an eyebrow.

"Well," I pressed and he dropped his crossed arm before walking closer, hands coming up to grip at my shoulders. He dipped his head to my level and looked closely at me.

"I've always been willing to try, love." He said and I sighed in relief, my eyes fluttering as he pressed a butterfly kiss to my forehead.

I took the opportunity to wrap my arms around his waist and he straightened, slowly placing an arm of his around my shoulders while he stroked my hair with the other. We both sighed at the touch as our warmth flooded each other again, soothing and hopeful.

"So, where do we start?" I asked, my voice muffled against his chest.

"I think we should first change our location. The others were kind enough to clear the house in case you came over but they are going to come back soon enough and I would rather not be having our personal conversations with them in the vicinity. Especially, in case Jasper and Emmett have been placing bets," I heard the eye roll in his voice and looked up at him, balancing my chin against him.

"So, where do you want to go? Charlie's not here for the weekend. We could go home." I suggested but he shook his head, looking pensive before raising hopeful eyes at me.

"I've wanted to show you my house for a while." He said slowly.

"I am in your house."

"Not here…I mean…the Mason Estate…my real family house…in Chicago." He said.

I paused, looking at him wide-eyed and he quickly started talking.

"It's in the Illinois countryside, it's remote, it's quiet and very peaceful…we could talk for ages there with absolutely no interruption and I will bring you back the moment you want to leave." He promised.

I contemplated for a minute, considering Charlie and then my own needs. Finally, I gave a short nod.

"Okay."

The drive to Chicago from Forks would've taken approximately eleven hours, Edward told me as he haphazardly packed a few things in a duffel bag, along with handing me a couple things that I had in room for emergencies…like having to stay over because my own bedroom wasn't safe.

With the prospect of getting me all to himself for a few days, Edward appeared almost giddy, a dizzying smile on his face as he whirl-winded around the house to check if all was ok.

"Edward, how are we even going to get there? The Volvo?" I asked and he nodded as hand in hand, we walked to the garage.

"Oh good, I was worried we were going to take a Ferrari or something." I mock wiped sweat from my forehead when Edward stopped mid-step, looking at me curiously. "What?" I asked.

"Nothing, let's go." He said finally.

Not unusually, the way Edward drove, we made it within nine hours or so which spent in us catching up on what we'd missed in each other's lives. I told him about visiting Renee and the reservation while he told me about how Alice lashed out at him at every opportunity he could and how Rosalie would glare at him; which made me giggle. The rest I spent in sleeping since he told me it'd be late into the night by the time we got there.

When I woke up, feeling the car glide to a stop, Edward smiled at me rubbing sleep out of my eyes as I blinked up at the darkened decent manor surrounded by grass that had overgrown a good bit.

"Come on," he whispered, stepping out the car before he was at my side, opening my door and holding out his hand, letting me step gingerly into the wild grass.

"Is it safe?" I asked, nodding at the house.

"It should be; I make it a point to visit the property every few months if there are no caretakers at that point. The area is quite out of the way but it is respectable enough to not attract squatters. Plus, if there was someone, you don't need to worry about them." He smiled, white teeth gleaming in the night and I rolled my eyes as he pressed a chaste kiss to my temple. "I'll get the bag."

Swinging the duffel on his shoulder effortlessly he took my hand again, leading me towards the main door, his fingers dipping into his pocket to retrieve a key.

He slotted it into the brass lock, fingers twisting it and pushing it open before he took a step back, sweeping his hand to gesture me to enter.

I took a small step over the threshold, stopping just inside to where the porch light reflected off the wood and Edward followed, hand going to a switch on the wall before the foyer was flooding with light. I blinked in the bright light as Edward passed me, walking slowly into the house as if to check if everything was in place after a vacation.

I stayed where I was, letting him have a moment to reacquaint himself with his house as I fumbled with my fingers, nervously cracking my knuckles, cracks that echoed too loudly in the silent house.

"Don't be nervous, you can come in." he said and waited as I joined him before he dropped the bag to his feet, hand curling around mine again, like he just couldn't let it go.

"I lived here as a child." He said, tugging me with him as he walked around the palatial house. "I remember some flashes of the yard. Not a lot of people stayed here at that time so we had all the land to use. The house was different then, according to my time of course…" he stopped in front of an empty alcove.

"We had a piano here; the one I learned to play on. My mother was fond of lilac so she had all sorts of tapestry of that color about the drawing room." Another tug led me to the kitchen which he sniffed at before changing courses, leading me up the stairs, my fingers trailing against the black wrought iron rails while our shoes tapped against the granite steps.

"My mother and I were the ones infected with the disease first, so my father…he remarried once my mother died." He gulped and I squeezed his hand. Obviously this was hard for him to talk about. "My mother, Elizabeth, she told…no, ordered," he chuckled, "Carlisle to save my life…and he did." He smiled softly at me.

"She was a lot like you I think, if she bossed around vampires." He murmured. "Go on," I told him and he nodded.

"My step family inherited the house after my father's death and they've been inheriting it since then but a lot of assets were left over which Carlisle helped me inherit. He told people I lived after all and I got the deeds done to my name since my step brother was too young to inherit. Anyway, I…left soon after, never to return…before I came back again – at a proper time – so I could reclaim the house. Soon after their family died out, leaving me the sole heir." He sighed.

"You must think me childish, but I am quite attached to my family's treasures. I feel like I'm honoring my mother…since my father failed to. I've been just getting my own inheritance with each generation but thanks to the recent financial changes in the world, it has grown considerably." He said.

"It's ok, I'd probably so the same." I whispered and he stopped on the first floor, pointing out the rooms.

"This is the master bedroom. The study is that far door, and we had my nursery right through here." he paused at the door before swinging the door open.

What was Edward's nursery had been changed to a plain room, blank as a canvas. I turned to him in puzzlement. My great-great-great-great step grandson was an artist. He used it was a studio. It was covered with splashes of paint so I had it painted over." He shrugged before raking a hand through his hair.

I reached out to him, hands curling around his soft cheeks to turn his face to look at me. "Thank you for sharing this with me," I whispered. His eyes were too bright, face somewhat haggard. "Of course…it's funny; I wanted to show you this in a good mood but I'm just getting upset over the past that I can hardly remember much of."

I shook my head in disagreement, "Your past is your past. It has made you what you are today and it is okay to feel bad about a few things here and there, it's human at the very least." I argued. He gazed over my head at the nursery, silent. "Edward," I called. He didn't answer, instead turning to open the first door.

"This will be our bedroom." He said tiredly. "Edward," I pressed again and he sighed.

"I'm not human though."

"Not physically, but you're still you…and I love you," I said firmly. He looked at me with careful eyes.

"You mean that?" he asked.

"Of course I do." I said, pulling away to frown at him.

He looked down, eyes sullen as he pouted. "Edward, talk to me, please?" I begged and he sighed. "I just feel like…don't get me wrong, I know I'm as much to blame for our fights but…you just…you let things get in our way." He finally said.

"Ok…how do you mean that?" I asked.

"Just because the book says I ended up with Bella against all odds doesn't mean it will happen in reality. Just because Alec says you belong with him doesn't mean you really do. I mean, yes…I was intrigued by Bella because she was my Singer but then so were you with Alec. But…I didn't let that decide the way my heart was going. It chose you! It has always chosen you and it will always choose you! When you said that you thought that I could leave you for Bella…it…hurt me. I know I reacted irrationally but I just wanted you to know that you're you. I love you! Only you," he finished in a slur, eyes dropping to mine as he glowered at me, past annoyance flaring up again before it diminished.

"We were both just jealous." He concluded.

I blinked furiously up at him, feeling heat bubble up into my cheeks as I reached up again, gripping his face and pull myself closer to mine.

"I was; I was angry and jealous and hurt and I was wrong to treat you like that and I was wrong to yell at Alice like that but you, Edward Cullen are the single most infuriating man I have ever met but you are also sweet, kind and amazing and humane and you don't stalk people and I just…of course I love you, you idiot. I could never pick Alec. It's you. It's always been you." I let out a playful huff before I was kissing him, full on the mouth, our teeth clashing more than once. He let out a surprised yelp before kissing back, feverish lips moving against mine as he wrapped his arms tightly around me, crushing me to his chest, almost picking me up before he was pulling away again, lips parted as he panted. Licking over his mouth his eyes travelled from my own eyes to my mouth before going back to my eyes.

"The caretaker recently quit but the kitchen should be stocked. I can make you something if you're hungry." He said clearing his throat as he carefully unwound his arms from me. I shrugged before wrapping my arms around him to keep him from completely moving away. "I'm not really all that hungry, but thank you for bringing me here and talking things out." I said.

"Anything for you," he said, body still straining, "What do you want to eat?" he asked again and I giggled.

"I'm not hungry." I whispered and he opened his mouth again, probably to tell me I needed to eat but I tip toed to skim my lips against his softly, just a breath away, feeling him chase after me with a frustrated groan as I smiled and settled back down and just to make him feel less stressed, I took charge, pulling on his hands as I began to pull him towards the bedroom.

"Oh," he said, eyes widening before he was following in a daze, one hand quickly shooting back to slam the door shut.

***Smut Scene Ahead***Proceed with caution***

I moved to the middle of the room, his hands grasped in mine as he followed with his own glimmering eyes fixed on mine. "You promised me something, remember?" I asked.

He nodded slowly, unsurely, letting me maneuver myself into his hold to kiss him again. Our lips met in warmth, sighs of long lost connection tingling again. He pulled away gently, face inches from mine as he looked deep into my eyes, "Are you sure you want this?" he whispered.

I took a deep breath, returning his look evenly so he could see the truth in my eyes.

"I am. I want this with you." I said.

He kept staring at me for a while longer before he was cupping my face again, pulling me closer to him to place his forehead against mine.

"I want this with you too. I'll be as gentle as I can but if I hurt you I want you to tell me. If I make you uncomfortable I need to know. If you want to stop, you will tell me," he pressed, eyes urging me to agree and I nodded as soothingly as I could.

"I love you. I trust you." I said and he closed his eyes.

"I love you too."

This time our kiss was one of heat, of passion, a storm raging around us as we stood in its eye, calm yet wild as his hands reached up for his jacket, shrugging it off of his shoulder before gently sliding mine off my shoulders, all while keeping our lips tangled.

He moved us back to the edge of the bed, his legs nudging mine back till I could feel the mattress against the back of my thighs and he moved away. "Remember, you are free to stop me whenever you want." He said as he gripped the back of his sweater and raised it up and over his head, dropping the crumpled material and I stared – blatantly stared.

It wasn't like I hadn't seen him shirtless before, but this felt closer, hotter, making a blush raise to my cheeks that he rests his fingers against, smiling as the heat warmed his hand. "I don't want you to stop." I whispered back and he hummed, thumbs tracking over my features, the giddy smile still tugging at his lips as I mimicked it, keening into his touch as he trailed it downwards, over my jaw line, the column of my throat and brushing against the edge of my collarbones.

He stopped there before lowering his hands to the hem of my shirt, a question in the look she shot me. I raised my arms obediently and he tugged it off, letting the fabric fall to our feet as he began to pepper small kisses against my throat and shoulder, distracting me from the teasing tickling of his wandering hands.

He pressed a kiss to the dimple between the collarbones just as he let his fingers gently sweep over the swell of my covered breasts, eliciting a gasp as he left the pressure of his hands on the sensitive flesh, eyes letting me know he was enjoying the reaction he got from me.

Finally he tilted his head to brush against the lace trimming on top of my bra before he was pushing us backwards again, letting me climb back on the bed as he followed, and hands still trailing over my skin.

I reached back and unclipped the obstructing fabric, tossing it away before pulling him closer, the coolness of the room feeling good on my body as he got closer, lips closing against each other. He slipped in a tongue carefully and I reached down between us, running my hand over the expanse of his body as I cupped the quickly becoming distinct bulge in his black jeans.

Edward groaned against my mouth, deep and guttural, pants falling from my lips as we rushed to devour each other again. He eyes me hungrily as he undid my jeans, pulling them off my legs as he dipped a hand between my legs, questing after the small nub of nerves that made my body jolt as he touched it, wrist turning in rapid circles as he circled it, eyes still fixed on my face.

I reached out to curl my hand around his neck, pulling him to lean over me, his long frame easily covering mine as he entwined our fingers together, pressing them against the mattress.

"Tulika," he said voice hoarse from lust. "If you want to stop, now would be the time."

"Don't stop, never stop," I mumbled against his Adam's apple and he shuddered, laying his forehead on mine, eyes watching every minute expression that crossed my face as he slowly pushed himself inside me. The sudden pain, sharp and intrusive made me stiffen up but he was quick to lay kisses all over the skin he could reach, "Relax love, just relax," he breathed, waiting for me to slowly loosen up the muscles I'd strained.

Once the stinging dimmed, replaced with an overwhelming feeling of fullness, I reached up and kissed him as he slid our hands to rest over my head, elbows supporting his weight as he began to thrust, slow and long.

I whined in an embarrassingly high pitch, the friction and stimulation igniting every nerve cell in my body on fire as he grunted over me, deep throated and husky words of adoration mixed with my name spoken as he continued to move inside me, body coiled as he inched me towards my high.

He let go of my hand to curl around my face, angling it to suck lightly against the smooth skin under my chin as his chest brushed against mine. Every moan he let out, I could feel in my veins, going straight to my heart as I finally felt the tight coil of pleasure form in my stomach.

"Edward," I breathed my voice catching as I tried to warn him of my impending high.

"I know, I know, I feel the same, let go for me," he whispered and I felt him slide his body lower to grind against mine, his pelvic bone rubbing against my bundle of nerves and I was erupting around him, whimpering his name as he gripped onto me tighter, grounding me against him as I rode out my high with his help before he was letting out a pained groan of his own, hitting his own high.

His body arched over me as we basked in the glow of our pleasure for a while as he kissed me all over, my eyes dropping with sleep even as I shivered from the aftershocks.

Edward gently let go of my hands, lifting his body from my sweaty, exhausted one, an affectionate kiss to my temple.

"Sleep, my love, I will take care of you." I heard him speak even as I heard him pulling a blanket over my already asleep form.

Yep, That's that and all harm has been cancelled. Or so it happens...
