Ok so this one was also suggested, hope you like it :) There will be another A/N at the end.

Tony and Clint were down in Tony's lab, up to no good. Usually when they were down there together something either exploded or someone was going to get pranked. After a communial vote, they had been banished to be alone together, but somehow they also managed to. This particular meeting was all about business though, the pranking business. For the past few days these meetings had been taking place daily, they were planning something big.

Today was the day.

Hours later.

Steve couldn't shake the feeling he was being watched which was crazy because he was in the safest tower he had ever seen. Something still didn't feel right. He looked behind him, almost expecting to see Clint because he was usually there. He wasn't. Now that Steve thought about it, Clint hadn't been spending as much time following him around. Where has he been?

Tony. But they were banished from spending time alone together. I am sure JARVIS would have alerted one of us if they were together, maybe Bruce was with them. He sat down on the couch where Natasha was reading a book, her knees brought up close to her chest. Right away when he sat down, she stretched her legs and then layed them across his lap.

He stared at her. "Was that necessary?" He questioned.

"Yes." And the conversation was over.

He sat there for a little bit before his attention was drawn to the feet on him, they were kinda small. He looked at his own feet. OK, scratch that, they were tiny. He poked her foot and instantly she pulled her knees back to her chest.

She looked up at him. "What was that?"

"I just poked your foot! You're the one that freaked out." She glared at him. "It shouldn't matter... unless you're ticklish." Steve said with a smirk.

"Don't. Even. Think. About. It." She warned.

Steve got up with the smirk still on his face.

Tony and Clint were currently in the kitchen, they had been following Steve hoping to make him uncomfortable because it was an important part for their plan. They could tell his sixth sense was telling him something was wrong but they always hid before he saw them. Just as they were about to execute the final part of their plan, the Avengers alarm went off.

The identical smirks were immediately wiped off the pair's faces. Clint looked over at Tony.

"Does that mean you have to go?"

"Yeah. I'm sorry we couldn't put the final plan in action. Maybe next week, Baby Bird."

Tony rushed to the room made specially for his Iron Man suits. When he arrived in the living room with the rest of the Avengers he saw Clint their.

"Please don't go." He was saying in a wobbly voice.

"Clint, we have to go. People are counting on us."

"I don't want you to get hurt." That comment went to everyone's heart.

"Clint," The captain squatted down to his level. "we will be fine."

"I saw you last time, you weren't fine." Steve's eyes widened in shock, how did he see him? He tried to hide.

"I am fine now aren't I? Don't worry, Clint."

"You promise you will come back?"

"I promise." It didn't look like Clint believed him but they had to leave.

Clint decided that he had to go so that he could protect them, he couldn't lose anybody else. So as they were running around finding all of their things, he hid in a cubby in the cargo hold of a quinjet. They were right below him on the plane, he could hear them talk.

"I wish Clint knew that the only reason that we got hurt is because we don't have his eyes in the sky anymore." Someone said, Clint guessed Tony by the metallic edge to the voice.

"I know, but this is best for him right now. You remember what I told you about what Fury said." Steve said.

"I know. That is so stupid that they are blaming him for the Loki incident. It's not like he had any choice." That was Bruce he thought.

"It's just because they need someone to blame and he won't fight back." Steve again.

"Yeah, what's with that?" Tony.

"It's because all his life he has had to take orders. He doesn't really know anything else. His father, brother, CPS, circus mentors, Army, then Fury." Natasha answered.

"I feel bad for him. I mean, I know that we have all had a tough childhood, but that is just depressing, super depressing." Bruce said.

"How could he live that life and then turn out being who he is?" Bruce said again when everyone just nodded their heads in agreement to his last statement.

The rest of the flight was in silence until right before they got there when they started talking battle strategy. They exited the plane and Clint waited a good ten minutes before he slid out of the cubby and landed silently. He found a gun and decided that he should probably take that just in case, who knows what he was going to find out there.

Clint peeked around the corner of the quinjet and his jaw dropped. Whatever he was expecting it wasn't this, definitely not this. Outside were these giant cats. Like housecats, but they were currently trying to destroy Kansas City. They had red eyes and all different colors of fur, as another bonus to the Avengers, there was also giant flies, buzzing around and they shot poison out of their eyes. The smallest fly was still bigger then Clint and it was disgusting.

Clint never stepped out of the quinjet, he knew he was already going to be in trouble, but if he stayed inside at least it would lessen his beating. Wait! He was not with his father anymore, these people were nice, they didn't hurt him. They were his new family, and they were an actual family by choice.

The battle was almost over by now and Clint could only see Steve still in this area, the others had moved on. He was fighting off the last of the flies and was obviously winning. Clint saw a fly come start coming up behind him and he would never be able to warn Steve. Clint closed his eyes and took deep breaths. Just like paintballing. Just like paintballing. He repeted this to himself over and over again before he took off running in Steve's direction. Clint knew that he would have to use the gun that he was still carrying, he would never make it there in time.

He stopped running when he saw the fly was closing in. He wasn't as close as he would have liked to have been but he knew he didn't have the time to go any farther. He willed his arms to raise, aiming the pistol straight at the fly. He knew that there was going to be a kick so he braced himself and put his finger on the trigger. Lessons from the Swordsman taught him that he had to keep his eyes open and focused. He took in a deep breath and pulled the trigger. It was almost like slow motion, the bullet flew slowly and sank into the fly, knocking off its aim causing it to miss Steve as he chopped the last fly.

Clint kept the gun raised and closed his eyes, taking in a shaky breath. He lowered the pistol and opened his eyes. Steve was in the same spot just staring at him, and he knew from the look in the Captain's eyes that he was in trouble. He lowered his head and stared at the ground prepared for his punishment.

Steve was frozen in shock. He was fighting what he thought was the last fly and just putting in the last move when the gunshot rang out behind him. He had whipped around and saw the fly flutter in the air before dropping to the ground dead, a splatter of poison on the ground right next to him. He looked up and saw Clint there with his eyes closed, holding a gun. What was he doing here?!

"CLINT!" The boy in question gulped.

"What are you doing here?! You're suppose to be at the tower!"

"I-I know, but I needed to protect you." He stuttered.

"It is way to dangerous out here for you!" Steve yelled and grabbed his arm, pulling him back to the quinjet. He didn't reply, just looked at the ground.

Steve touched the comm in his ear, "Does anybody want to tell me why Clint is here?"

He heard the Black Widow swear in Russian. Tony's was similar but in English.

"Clint's here?!" Tony all but yelled into his his comm.

"Yes. Out in the battle with a gun. Where did he even get a gun?!" Steve yelled.

"Well the battle is finished we are going to round up the Hulk and meet back at the jet." Tony said.

Steve focused on the boy currently seated next to him. He could tell that the boy was very scared but he also had a look in his eyes, something close to determination. They sat in silence until the rest of them arrived.

"Clint? What are you doing here?" Bruce asked shocked, not knowing because of the Hulk.

The tiny archer stayed silent, looking at the ground.

"Clint, what's wrong?" Natasha asked in Russian. They had figured out that little Clint had learned Russian in the circus. He looked up at her with eyes filled with fear.

"Steve's mad." He answered.

"He won't hurt you." She said softly.

"I know but I can't help but think he will. When he's mad he looks like my father."

She bent down so that she was at eye level with him.

"Steve is NOT your father."

"I know." He said in a quiet voice.

"Well?" The boy looked up and gone was the fear, all that was left was determination, so much of it that she couldn't help but think about the older Clint.

"I don't regret coming here. Steve would have died if I hadn't taken that shot." His voice was getting stronger and louder, "And don't you dare say it was dangerous and I shouldn't of come. I know how dangerous it was, I wasn't going to leave the jet, but I couldn't let Steve get killed." He was practically yelling. All the other Avengers took a step back. All they saw in his eyes was determination and fury, not to mention yelling in Russian was already kind of scary, at least to Tony.

Natasha stood up, in her eyes there was a flash of pride for Clint but it was gone just as fast as it came. She slapped him on the back of the head. "Don't speak like that to me again, kotYOnok." She smiled at him and sit down next to him, pulling him in for a hug. He smiled with her and closed his eyes, that was too stressful for him.

"Are we just going to pretend that he didn't just run out into a battle field?" Tony asked.

"He saved Steve's life." Natasha stood up for him, she was still mad but she knew that he did it only for Cap and that he would do it again in a heartbeat, no matter the consequences.

"He put himself in danger." Steve said.

"Clint can fend for himself, even at this age."

Steve was about to say something else but was cut off by Natasha's stare which clearly said to drop it, they could talk about it later.

"I love you, Steve. I am sorry, but I didn't want you to get hurt like last time." Clint whispered. Steve didn't think he was suppose to hear it so he let it drop even though everyone else heard it also

A/N= Ok so I have some questions for you guys.

1) How long do you guys want this to go on? I could go either way right now so tell me your ideas.

2) How should I end the story, I can't really think of an ending.

3) I also have realized that I kind of set this up so that the ending might kind of depressing for everyone else when he turns back, so please, please give me your ideas for how i can make it a happy ending.

BTW: kotYOnok mean little kitten in russian. Sorry if that is wrong to anybody who does speak Russian, I decided that is Tasha's nickname for him and will probably be used again so if it is wrong please tell me.
