A/N:
Hello everyone! Sorry this is not a chapter- but I have received a lot of questions about the last chapter. I know many of you are concerned that Ana's behavior does not seem like that of an assault victim- but I promise you this is for a reason. Many women who are survivors of assault bury their trauma and act as if nothing ever happened- or in ana's case- go out of their way to find comfort. I call it the trauma effect- Ana has suffered a huge amount of emotional trauma at she he hands if someone she trusted for years and thought of as a very close friend. She's going out of her way to pursue this relationship with Christian because he makes her feel safe. That's why she tries to make their relationship sexual- it's a coping mechanism.
Ana has put Christian in a position he never thought he'd be in- a hero position. Every time something goes wrong for Ana Christian appears and saves her. In some cases- she even calls him instead of someone (Taylor) who is more likely to handle the situation with Jose quickly and efficiently.
And in terms of Christian- he really likes Ana, he feels very protective of her, and hasn't had much experience with assault victims. Now he is a victim of trauma himself, so he probably should know better, but he either doesn't, or is hoping that she is truly okay.
i promise- the next chapter is going to bring a lot of this forward for Ana, she's going to realize how badly her encounters with jose could have ended, and she's going to realize that what she's doing to Christian isn't fair to him- or heathy for her.
thank you all so much for the positive feed back and questions! Keep them coming! :) if you have more questions or concerns feel free to review or PM me :)
