I Wasn't Hungry
"Oh, cheer up." He snapped as they walked towards the dining hall, Loki practically dragging her beside him. "Smile, laugh. At the very least take that miserable look off of your face. We don't want anyone to worry, now do we?"
She didn't smile as they walked into the hall, nor did she laugh. She kept a straight face, staring blankly ahead as they walked towards the royal family.
Two servants pulled out a couple of golden coated chairs for them to sit down on. Any mortal or unwealthy being would probably drool over the feast before them.
Sigyn however was indifferent. Hardly putting any food on her plate. Thor was talking eagerly about tomorrow, his big day. It was nice to see someone with such high spirits for a change. She even managed a small smile for a moment.
Frigga and Odin listened to their son, giving him tips, ideas and a little guidance for how he should rule Asgard.
Loki was practically seething throughout the whole meal. The jealousy radiating off of him was evident to anyones eyes.
Sif and The warriors three were having their own conversation at the other end of the table, leaving Sigyn stuck, playing with her food, in the middle with Loki, both pretending to listen to Thor.
At least until Frigga turned to them both. "And how is our new princess? Is all well?" Sigyn sighed, and looked up at Loki, who gave a cruel smile, but in their eyes, he may only have seemed teasing.
She gulped. "All is well, my lady." She replied politely. Loki stepped on her foot, urging her to go on.
She tried to think of at least one good thing that had happened since they last saw her. Unfortunatly there was nit much to go on. "I spent the morning in the gardens, the flowers there are quite beautiful."
Frigga smiled at that. "Indeed they are. It's nice to know someone actually takes time to see it. So little people do." Sigyn nodded in agreement.
"And Loki, my son, I see you have gifted your wife with a ring." His mother noticed. "May I?" She went to admire it, Sigyn holding out her hand to show her.
"That's awfully romantic of you, brother." Thor teased. "Who'd have thought you had it in you."
The meal went on like that for a good hour, and Sigyn was glad when the attention moved onto someone else, letting her move the food around her plate in peace.
Soon enough the table was cleared and Loki bought Sigyn, much to her suprise, into the gardens.
"You hardly touched you food." He stated bluntly.
She shrugged. "I wasn't hungry." She mumbled. "It's not like anyone noticed..."
Loki nodded in agreement, surprising her. "Because they were too busy paying attention to Thor." He snarled disaprovingly.
"I've got work to do, you are unlikly to see me until tomorrow." He told her after a moments silence. "If I find out you-"
She glared up at him. "I tire of your threats Loki." She snapped, unable to stop herself. "You know there's nothing I can do, you made sure of that. Just go."
Loki raised his eyebrows at her in shock, which he hid quickly, "Watch your tone." He whispered before walking away without any further threats.
