Hey guys! So this is the last chapter of this story. Thank you all for your support and kind words! Some of you suggested I add a honeymoon to this story, but I thought the wedding was a good place to end it. However, I have been thinking of writing a sequel to this, so let me know if you think I should. Anyways, thanks again for everything, I had a great time writing this story. This is the last chapter...ENJOY! :)

Disclaimer: As always, I do not own Castle :(

The day had finally come. Kate and Castle thought the day couldn't have taken any longer to arrive; especially after certain events they had just overcome. But they were here now, after 5 years, finally getting married.

Kate being the type to believe in the everyday magic, rather than crazy ideas, didn't believe in the superstition of it being bad luck for the groom and bride to see each other the day of the wedding; therefore, they spent the night together. They woke up to mirroring smiles of each other, they were just so happy. After 5 years of hate, teasing, hurt, happiness, and love, they made it, they were about to start a new chapter in their life as one.

After spending a couple of hours lazing around in bed cuddling, among other things, Kate decided they should get a start on their day. The wedding would start at 3pm so Castle basically had the entire morning and afternoon free once he got to the Hamptons because all he had to do was put on a tux and he would be ready to go. Kate on the other hand had many different appointments to go to before leaving for the Hamptons.

At around 8am, Kate left to meet the girls to get their manicures and pedicures done, while Rick stayed back to finish some last minute packing for their honeymoon and straighten things up at the loft since they wouldn't be there for about 3 weeks.

Kate met up with Lanie, Alexis, Jenny, and Maddie at the Nail Salon for 8:30am. The 5 of them were sitting on the lounge chairs in a line getting their nails done when Lanie spoke.

"So girl, you getting any signs of cold feet?"

Kate snorted a laugh before replying. "Nope, I am definitely ready, more than actually. I don't want to wait any longer, I stupidly waited 4 years, so no more waiting, and I just want him to be my husband already."

"Wow, I guess love really does change you. I never thought I'd hear those words coming out of your mouth" Lanie said.

"He most definitely changed me" Kate said lost in thought about her soon to be husband.

After the girls finished getting their nails done, they decided to grab a quick bite to eat, and then head out to pick up their dresses and get their hair done.

It was a little before 2pm when the girls arrived at Castle's Hampton house, giving them just enough time to do their make-up and change into their dresses for the ceremony. They stayed in the right wing of the house, while the boys stayed in the left wing; partly because all their friends and family insisted that Kate and Castle followed at least one tradition and didn't see each other until the ceremony, and also because the girls wanted to limit the distractions.

It was 5 minutes before the ceremony was set to start. Castle was already waiting at the altar with sweaty palms and shaky hands. He had no idea why he was nervous. It's not like it's his first time, he's done this twice before, so why was he such a nervous wreck? Then he realized it was because of Kate. He was about to marry Kate Beckett, the hardcore, badass, extraordinary detective, and the woman of his dreams.

Before he could get lost in any more thoughts about his soon to be wife, the music started playing and he saw his beautiful fiancée at the beginning of the aisle and suddenly all of his nerves vanished, because she was here, they were here, and they were finally doing this together.

Kate began walking down the aisle with her father right beside her. The place was decorated beautifully, the view was incredible, and everyone there had the biggest smiles on their faces; however, Kate only saw one person, Castle. Her forest green eyes locked with his sea blue eyes immediately, and it was like they were the only two people there. The world around them vanished, the bad and the evil they usually witnessed was gone and replaced by love, their love.

Once Kate and Jim reached Castle at the top of the aisle, Jim gave his daughter a kiss on the cheek, shook Castle's hand and gave her to him.

The minister began the ceremony with the usual speeches, but Castle and Kate didn't pay any attention, they were completely focused on one another, trying to convey how happy they were through their eyes and the slight squeezes of their hands. It wasn't until the minister said it was time for them to recite their vows that the duo were pulled out of their trance.

Rick began his vows first. "Kate, the first time I saw you, I knew you were special. I was immediately intrigued by you, and not only because of your hotness."

This earned him a few laughs from his fiancée and the crowd.

"It was the way you carried yourself, so confident and determined. As I got to know you better, I discovered the many different layers to the Beckett onion, and I am so glad I did because even now you never fail to amaze me. At first I was an arrogant jackass, but over time you changed me; you made me want to be a better man, a man that was worthy enough for you. I love everything about you. I love the way you roll your eyes at me on a daily basis. I love how you can't function without coffee first thing in the mornings. I love that little vein on your forehead that makes itself visible when you're frustrated. I love that beautiful smile you have that lights up my whole day. I love the fact that during the day you're an independent, badass detective, but at home you like to cuddle and enjoy the tranquility. I love the way you challenge me and inspire me to be better and do better. But most of all I love the passion for justice you have because that is what makes you who you are. We've been through so much over the last 5 years, more than people usually encounter throughout their entire lifetime; but, no matter how difficult it got I wouldn't change a second of it. All the obstacles we've faced, brought us here today and made us who we are, stronger than ever. You once told me that you still believed in the inexplicable, mysterious phenomenon, which was us, and I couldn't agree with you more. I believe that we can make it through anything life has to offer us, both good and bad, and still continue to be amazing. I know that may be difficult to believe especially because of my track records of marriages; but believe me when I tell you that you are it for me Kate Beckett. You are the one, my third time's the charm, and you're my everything. So I promise you today in front of all our family and friends that I will never stop pulling your pigtails, that we will never ever be boring, that I will be by your side the entire way, and that I will never stop loving you, because I do, I love you Katherine Beckett. Always."

When Castle finished he looked up to see that there were tears streaming down Kate's face. Rick reached forward and gently wiped away the tears falling with his thumbs, careful not to smudge her makeup.

It was now Kate's turn for her to say her vows. The tears had stopped but her eyes remained watery as she began.

"Rick, if someone would have told me 5 years ago that I would end up marrying Richard Castle, millionaire playboy, I would have arrested them for public intoxication."

This earned Kate her own laughter from the audience and her fiancée.

"But over the years, I had the privilege to get to know the real Richard Castle, the sweet, funny, loving, and generous man that you really are. I got to know a man with the biggest heart I've ever seen, and who would do anything for the ones he loves. I will admit that at first I did hate you, but soon you started to grow on me. I liked having you around because you would often lighten up the mood, but as time went by I realized how essential you are to the team and to me. I know that the first 4 years of our relationship was difficult, but I cannot express how thankful and grateful I am that you waited for me, that you broke down those walls of mine and permanently embedded yourself in my heart. You said that I changed you, but really you were the one to change me. You taught me to believe in magic, to open up, experience the world with less darkness, and most importantly, you taught me how to love. I love the way you can make me laugh even on the worst days. I love that you believe in countless possibilities of the universe. I love that wild and crazy imagination of yours. I love how amazing of a father you are to Alexis, and a son to Martha. I love when I catch you staring at me because it makes me feel like the most important person in the world, even though I say it's creepy. I love the way your eyes crinkle at the edges when you smile. And mostly, I love your ability to love with everything you have. I need you to know that our partnership, our relationship, is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I promise you today that we will never be boring, that I will stick by your side, that I will never give up on us, and that I will spend the rest of my life trying to show you how much you mean to me. You are my partner, my best friend, and my very soon to be husband. I love you Richard Castle, with all of my heart. Always."

It was now time for the "I do's."

The minister began, "Do you, Richard Edgar Alexander Rogers Castle, take her, Katherine Houghton Beckett, to be your lawfully wedded wife?"

Castle answered without missing a beat. "I do. Always" and smiled brightly at Kate.

"And do you, Katherine Houghton Beckett, take him, Richard Edgar Alexander Rogers Castle, to be your lawfully wedded husband?"

Kate replied immediately with a smile that she only reserved for him. "I do. Always."

"Therefore, by the power vested in me by the state of New York, I now pronounce you Husband and Wife. You may now kiss the bride."

Rick didn't hesitate; he immediately wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her soundly and she reciprocated, as they poured out all their love and adoration for one another.

They finally did it, after 5 years, they made it here together, and it was just the beginning of their Always.

END
