Sorry about that guys the first version I know was wrong but this is right! YAY!

Rose

We finished packing together just in time to meet the train. "Hugo we really need to improve our timing," I breathed as we just barely made it to the last carriage.

"Or you could say that it was perfect timing it all depends on perspective,"

"I agree with Hugo," Scorpius stated climbing in.

"Why are you late?" I questioned.

"I burrowed a bunch of Scorpius' things and he needed to get it back before break. Sorry, I almost made you miss the train," Albus popped into the carriage. "What about you two?" It was then that the carriage began moving.

I looked to Hugo for support but he was staring off into space. Brothers are so useless, "I went to meet up with Hugo in Gryffindor Tower and we got to talking which led to us losing track of time,"

"You haven't had enough time to talk?" Albus laughed.

"Not alone," Albus shrugged but Scorpius studied me clearly wondering what Hugo and I would need to talk about alone. I hate being studied, "It looks bad to have the two heads be late," I commented.

"It also looks bad to have one of the heads be poisoned. I think people will give you slack sis," Hugo laughed.

I rolled my eyes at him but thankfully it led to steady conversation throughout the carriage.

When we stepped onto the train I turned to Hugo, "Wait to find mum and dad until I'm with you. Stay with your friends or with an aunt or uncle it doesn't matter just don't go alone. I'll try and get off as fast as possible but I have head duties," He nodded. Scorpius was waiting for me so I turned to him but Hugo grabbed my arm.

"What if it's unavoidable? What if they're waiting for me the second I get off?" I thought for a moment before glancing back at Scorpius.

"Start heading towards the front of the train. Don't get off. I'll find you or Scorpius will," I would need to fill Scorpius in on the plan, "he and I need to meet in the middle of the train before we give the all clear,"

Hugo nodded, "Ok I'll stay on and wait for one of you to find me," I gave him a quick hug.

"Everything is going to be ok," His strained smile told me he didn't completely believe me.

Hugo turned and walked down the long, seemingly never-ending train. I closed my eyes for a moment only to be jolted back to reality by someone's hand on my shoulder. "Rose, is everything ok?"

I shook my head no. He opened his mouth to pry further but I cut him off, "It's not my secret to tell. It just is complicated." I sighed, "Can you look out for Hugo though, once the train stops?"

Scorpius nodded before taking my hand firmly in his. "Come on we should do our rounds,"

The rest of the train ride rode by smoothly. The English countryside swept by just as it always did and Scorpius and I only needed to confiscate a few things. "You'll look for him right?" I called to Scorpius as I began to head towards the front of the train just as it was slowing.

"Of course," He gave me his most reassuring smile causing me to immediately calmed. Some.

I went from the very first carriage occasionally picking up discarded items on my way to half way down where Scorpius and I had met at the beginning of the year. I assumed that he must of met Hugo so he was taking longer but as I traveled farther down the train I spotted neither boy until I came to the third to last compartment.

Scorpius was crouching in front of my red headed brother attempting to counsel him about a problem he didn't know. "Hugo can you tell me what's wrong?" Scorpius requested.

"I can't, you'll just judge me like her," Hugo cried out.

"Like who? Like Rose?" Scorpius guessed.

"No," Hugo shook his head vigorously, "Like-" He choked on the word, tears streaming down his face.

I ran over to my younger brother and embraced him. I stroked his hair consoling him, "Everything's going to be ok. Mum probably just wanted to wait to discuss it as a family and when she wasn't worried about my health. But, now I'm all better and the family will be together tonight so we can discuss it as soon as we get home. So come on, let's get you cleaned off," I took a tissue out of my purse to clean off his face, "let's go greet our parents. Alright?"

Hugo looked at me and nodded. "Thanks Rosie Posey," I smiled at the old nickname.

"You're welcome shortstop now come on," I grabbed his hand and led him off the train. "Do you mind signaling to the conductor?" I whispered to Scorpius.

He immediately agreed. "I'll owl you," I nodded giving him a sad smile.

"See you the 23rd," We noticed our families were the only ones still on the platform. We must have taken longer on the train then I thought.

Scorpius headed up to the conductor while I walked over to mum and dad, however, Mrs. Malfoy intercepted me, "Hi Rose, it's so nice to meet you. I've heard so much about you," she stuck her hand out for me to shake.

I let go of Hugo's hand and shook it, "It's nice to meet you too. I hope all that you've heard has been good," I laughed. I really needed to go meet my parents but I also can't be rude this was my first impression after all.

"Draco come meet Scorpius' girlfriend," Mrs. Malfoy called to her husband. I saw a man who looked strikingly like Scorpius approach me. He shook my hand.

"Pleasure to meet you Rose," I noticed him taking me in and then the fidgeting Hugo beside me.

"You too. If you'll excuse me my brother and I best be heading to our parents," I gave the best smile I could before beginning to walk away.

"Wait!" Mrs. Malfoy called. I internally cringed, "Will you be coming on the 23rd? Scorpius never owled me you response,"

"Yes I will be. I can't wait to see you all then," I smiled again before turning to face my parents with Hugo beside me.

Hugo was shaking. Hugo was visibly shaking. I took his hand again and squeezed it in a reassuringly manor. "Hi mum, hi dad so nice to see you again," I grinned forcefully.

"Rosie!" Dad exclaimed scooping me up. I giggled as he spun me around, "How are you feeling?"

"Much better thanks,"

"Fantastic. How are you shortstop?" Dad ruffled Hugo's hair playfully. Dad didn't know or he thoroughly didn't care.

"Fine," Hugo whispered.

"Are you feeling ill?" Dad asked putting a hand to Hugo's forehead, "I hate having two kids to keep watch over. One's enough to make me dizzy," Hugo gave a small chuckle at that as I began to walk over to my mum. I felt Scorpius' eyes on me but I dutifully ignored them.

"Mum, Hugo's worried you hate him," My voice stayed low.

"I don't hate your brother. I just wish he had trusted us enough to come forth on his own. I wish he hadn't needed someone else to force him to tell me," Mum stated.

"Tell him that," I advised. I was working really hard to keep my voice gentle, "Hey dad do you want to meet Scorpius,"

Scorpius and my father's head both snapped towards me. "Rose we've already met," "Rosie are you sure?" They both said at the same time.

"Yes I'm sure and I don't care just talk about your love for the Cudley Canons," I dragged my dad to Scorpius. I shot Scorpius a pleading look to keep my dad busy.

"You love the Cudley Canons?" My dad perked up.

"Of course, they may be the underdogs but that's what makes them fun to follow. The wins they do have are always more exciting because they're unexpected," I had at least picked a good topic for them.

I turned and found myself face to face with Mr. and Mrs. Malfoy. "Why did you do that Rose?" Mr. Malfoy asked.

I felt no reason to lie and I knew Mr. Malfoy would know if I did, "My mother and brother needed to talk alone immediately. It was hurting my brother that they hadn't been for the past month due to a miscommunication,"

He nodded slowly. The group passed through the border and into King's Cross. My mum and Hugo continued talking in the lobby for a while longer so I was left talking to Mrs. Malfoy and Mr. Malfoy, "When did the ball start?" I asked in a desperate attempt at conversation.

"Directly after the wizarding war. It's an attempt to remember those who fought. I should warn you Rose some people there won't like you very much. That will be about ten of the guests. The rest of the one hundred and forty will be thankful for your parents taking them out of Voldemort's clasps when they did. All you have to do is steer clear of the ten," Mr. Malfoy stated.

"You make it sound easy," I smiled.

"Scorpius will be beside you the entire time and he knows which ten I'm talking about," Mr. Malfoy shrugged.

"You'll look so beautiful too!" Mrs. Malfoy grinned, "I do wish you had been well enough to go to Hogsmeade with me. That was a terrible incident. However, I picked out a gorgeous dress that I think will go perfectly with your hair we can try it out when you come to visit,"

"Thank you so much Mrs. Malfoy," Mrs. Malfoy was not at all as I expected.

"Please call me Astoria," Astoria nudged Mr. Malfoy.

He cleared his throat, "And call me Draco,"

I laughed just as Scorpius and my dad approached, "Rosie what are 'Mione and Hugo talking about?"

"We'll fill you in tonight," I informed him as I glanced over at the pair. However when I did, I noticed that my mum was in her position that she takes when she was about to yell. I exchanged a silent look with Scorpius asking him to keep my dad busy and considering my dad was about to talk to his childhood nemesis that might not be too hard. I ran off.

"I will work when I want! You and your sister have the capability to take care of yourselves," This fight was not about him being gay anymore.

"Rose isn't my mother she doesn't have the capability to take care of me in the way a mother can! She's my sister not my mother! Sure, she and I can feed ourselves just fine but, when you're off advocating for house elves to be able to live with their families when you don't even live with your own we hurt! She may not show it because she wants to appear perfect so that you can be proud of her. But she and I, both, are affected by you being a workaholic," Hugo bellowed. I stood in shock. I, of course, hated how much my mother worked but I never realized how affected Hugo was as well, "You couldn't even be with her in the hospital when she was dying for more then two hours, two hours! Then when Madame Patil forced you to come you didn't even say hi to me to talk about our issues. That's the kind of parent you are, absent,"

Nobody moved. There was silence. I knew the Malfoy's had heard the confrontation as well as my father. My mother was fuming and I was stuck in no man's land. I stumbled back until I felt firm arms surround me. Scorpius. "It's ok Rose, it's ok," I hadn't realized I was crying until Scorpius wiped a tear from my face. I gently placed my head on his chest taking a few deep breaths to calm myself.

Grasping some courage I let go of him. I turned to Hugo and held out my hand. The freckled boy looked at my hand like a lifeline. Hugo was just now realizing the damage his anger had done. He grasped my hand. I grabbed my trunk and owl silently before heading towards the car.

"It was nice meeting you Draco and Astoria," I kept my voice level despite the fact that my family was falling apart. "I will see you on the 23rd around noon,"

The Malfoy parents nodded at me wordlessly as I led my brother towards the car. I helped him put his trunk in then led him towards the backseat. Nobody else had moved. "Mum, dad are you ready?" I asked.

Dad led my mum towards the car and he then got into the drivers seat. It was just as the car started driving that I realized what a killer headache I had.
