Hello! I'm back! Hope you enjoy and thank you to those of you who have stuck around. Here you go.
Yakumo was resting her head on the table in the living staring blankly at the TV. Even after clearing some of the mess involving Harima, Yakumo was still in her gloomy state of mind. On the bright side she was now friends with Harima. But what was a friend to Harima? Does he even have any friends? Whatever he thought Yakumo was going to find out. But now she had to convince Tenma to support her with this. She didn't need it but having her big sister's support meant a lot right now. But even if Tenma refuses to accept her love she would still go on.
"I'm home!" Tenma calls closing the front door behind her.
"Could you come here Tenma?" Yakumo calls back.
Tenma enters the living room and takes a seat across from Yakumo. "What is it Yakumo?" Tenma asked.
"I love Harima." Yakumo says.
The sisters just stare at each other for a couple of moments. Tenma didn't understand Yakumo's feelings for Harima. Her first thought was to tell Yakumo that Harima was only trouble. Just the thought of Harima made Tenma's blood boil. But if it wasn't for Harima Yakumo might not be here today. So she had to hear Yakumo out. Tenma clears her throat "Yakumo I love you and what I say is only meant to protect you. I don't like Harima and I don't like the idea of you liking him." She says coldly.
Yakumo wanted to get angry and tell Tenma "you don't understand!" but she held back. She had to tell Tenma about the other side of Harima. "I know Tenma but please hear me out. Harima isn't the person you make him out to be. He's not a bad man!" she says.
"I sorry Yakumo but that's hard to believe." Tenma says shaking her head.
"Then let me show you! I can prove that Harima isn't who everyone thinks he is. But I need your help Tenma. What if I told you that I hated Karasuma? Would that stop you from loving him?" Yakumo says trying to control herself.
Tenma was shocked that Yakumo said that. Yakumo always supported her in everything she did. It wasn't very often that Yakumo asked her for anything. Tenma sighs "No it wouldn't stop me Yakumo and I see that no matter what I say it's not going to stop you. Alright Yakumo show me that I'm wrong." She says.
"Thank you Tenma." For the first time in a long time Yakumo smiled.
The next day
Yakumo had left a little early to try and see Sarah. She was waiting at the spot they would normally meet before all this. It had been several months since they had talked. She was hoping that Sarah would forgive her after everything that happened. After a couple of minutes Yakumo saw Sarah walking with Mikoto. The sight of Mikoto made her a little angry but this wasn't about her so she let it go.
Sarah was the first one to notice Yakumo a head. Mikoto looks forward and also sees her. "I'll see you at school Sarah." Mikoto says continuing on. After a couple of moments Sarah makes the first move.
"G-good morning Yakumo!" Sarah stutters out.
Yakumo moves forward and bows "I'm so sorry Sarah! I know I shouldn't have abandon you! I know you were only trying to help! So please forgive me!" she cries towards the ground.
Sarah was completely thrown off guard but she quickly recovers. She takes Yakumo's hands and brings her up "All is forgiven Yakumo. I know you were going through some hard times. So please let me help you next time. After all we are best friends." She says with a smile.
Yakumo looks up at Sarah and felt a warm feeling inside her chest. Sarah was truly at wonderful person Yakumo thought. "I have something to tell you Sarah." She says regaining her composer.
Sarah listens to everything Yakumo had to say. After a couple of minutes Yakumo had told her everything that was going on. When Yakumo was finished Sarah offered to help Yakumo. Now they only thing to do was to follow through on the current plan she had.
Later that day
For the past couple of day Harima had been arriving to school earlier then he normally did. At first it freaked everyone out. But Harima had a number of reasons why he was showing up earlier, almost all of them having to do with Tenma. Even after clearing things up with her sister Tenma still glared at him. So to avoid Tenma he would arrive early. But even then he would have to deal with it when Tenma got to school because they did sit next to each other. Just then Mikoto walks in and for a split second their eyes meet. Harima was then reminded that he still had to clear up the mess with Mikoto. Because no matter what either of them said no one believes anything they said. So denying it wasn't getting them anywhere.
Mikoto was also thinking the same thing. Something had to be done because this was damaging both of their reputation. Mikoto was starting to notice that more people feared her more than before. Even some of the teachers were looking down on her for a choice she didn't make. She sighs and decides to talk Harima, she makes her way over to his desk. "Harima we need to do something about this." Mikoto says putting a hand on his desk.
Harima was thinking of a smart ass response but it wasn't going to help the situation. "I know…So what are we going to do?" Harima asks.
Before Mikoto could say anything Tenma walks in. They both freeze expecting Tenma to explode but she only give them a glare and sits in her desk. "Well I'll get back to you on that Harima." With that Mikoto heads for her desk.
Lunch time
Tenma was splitting hairs with the thought of Harima dating her sister. But now she had to convince Mikoto to leave Harima. She had promise Yakumo that she find a way to break the two of them up. Which was going to be hard since she hadn't spoken to Mikoto for about a month or so. "Why am I letting Yakumo follow through with this? Mikoto is one thing but Yakumo is my sister! Harima is the reason we are in this mess in the first place!" Tenma was only going through with this because Harima did save Yakumo's life. Otherwise she wouldn't be doing what she was about to do. Tenma turns to Harima "Harima!" she shouts scaring Harima half to death.
"Y-yes Tsukamoto!" Harima stutters starting to sweat like crazy. Tenma leans in very close almost forehead to forehead.
"Listen to me because I'm only going to say this once! If you ever hurt Yakumo I will make you pay you got that!" Tenma states with her face very close to his.
Harima had never feared any man on this planet. But Tenma Tsukamoto was the only person Harima feared and loved. "Yes madam!" he barely makes out.
"Excuse me"
"What!" Both Tenma and Harima yell.
Sarah nearly falls over "Umm I have a message for Harima? Yakumo wanted to talk to you on the roof." She says backing up with her hands up.
Tenma backs off "Don't keep my sister waiting Harima." She says taking out her own lunch.
Without thinking Harima gets up and leaves the room. But when he reaches the doors of the roof he stops. "Wait…why does Tenma's sister want to meet me?" he thinks about it for a couple of moments but comes up with nothing. But he had to meet with Yakumo because the back lash from Tenma would be too much. He opens the door to see Yakumo sitting down on a blanket with two bentos.
"Ummm Hi Harima…I made you lunch." Yakumo says very red.
Harima wasn't sure how to react to this. It was also very confusing on why someone would make lunch for him. In his mind it had to be some kind of trap. But he was hungry and if he didn't take the lunch it was a all water lunch. So Harima slowly makes his way over to Yakumo almost like someone was going to jump him.
Yakumo could tell that he didn't trust her. But it was understandable since they had never really talk to each other outside of serious drama. It would be their first real normal conversation. Harima finally makes it across from Yakumo and takes a seat. "Here you go…" Yakumo says handing him a bento.
"What is this? Why is Tenma's sister feeding me?" Harima thoughts were all over the place. None of this made sense. But still he took the bento and opened it. It wasn't his favorite meal but it was something.
"I hope you like it…I wasn't sure what you liked so I thought I'd keep it simple." Yakumo says looking down at the floor. She could hardly breathe right now and her heart was jumping out her chest. Was this how it felt to be in love?
Harima takes a bite and is surprise to find that it delicious. "Simple is fine…I'm not a very picky eater…why are you doing this Tenma's sister?" he asks stopping for a moment.
Yakumo wanted to tell him the truth but it was too early. If she did it now it would most likely scare him away. "Umm well I never did pay you back for saving my life. Also you did help me a lot recently…I feel like I owe you a lot." She says with a small smile.
Harima wasn't sure how to respond so he continues eating. Yakumo only smiles and begins eating her lunch as well. When they both finish there was an awkward moment were the both of them didn't know what to do. Harima decides to speak first "Umm thanks for the lunch…I'll see you around I guess." He says standing up. He begins to head for the doors when..
"Wait!" Yakumo shouts. Harima jumps a bit but is able to keep his composer. "I'll make you lunch tomorrow…if it's fine with you?" she says blushing.
Harima wasn't going to turn down free food. Plus getting close to Tenma's sister was the first step to Tenma's love. "Yeah…its fine and thank you…" After saying that Yakumo's face lit up. But Harima saw something in her face…a look that he had seen somewhere before…Harima couldn't put his finger on it at the moment…but that look made him nervous and not in a good way...
Yakumo couldn't be happier that her plan worked. Maybe things were going to work out after all.
